Review: I contacted the company from an ad in the Pennysaver. When I called the company I was told they were in business for many years and they get their customers through recommendations. I was told the company employed professional "technicans" who do superior work. When the workers came they had no supplies at all. They had to go to Home Depot to get supplies each time they came. The paperwork I was given said it would take 2 days to do the work but with many delays it took over 3 weeks and it still is not complete. Their professional "technicians" included a 21 year old trainee and when they sent their "best experienced" technician to fix what the 21 year old worker did (who also had no supplies to do the work) he left so much damage and made such a mess, he wasn't able to finish the job because he also robbed my home. The company is not willing to talk or work with me to fix the problem or even speak to the Police regarding the robbery. This was a terrible experience I hope I can get resolved soon.Desired Settlement: I believe the General Manager of the company who I dealt with lied to me regarding everything. I especially believe he lied about the employees he claims to have on staff and their experience which I can tell by the work done they had very little or no experience at all. The work was done on my deck and there is damage everywhere including paint on my siding, all over the cement even in the garage where additional items were taken. Because I now have to hire another company to finish the job, I am requesting the money I paid for "labor and supplies" be returned. The supplies included only 2 cans of stain for the deck.

Response:

On the first day, Before beginning any work, the consumer become extremely difficult . Before starting any work, our company said. . .Lets part as friends. We certainly do not want you to get off on the wrong foot for any reason with you. At the consumers insistence we commenced work. The only delays encountered were weather related. We cannot stain a deck if its raining! It has been raining or the deck has been wet from rain, preventing us from completing the job until the weather was appropriate. we do not but stain colors etc until consulting with the consumer.

The consumer, Prior to expressing any concerns about any corrections that we would have gladly addressed, put a stop payment on a check for $675.

Review: I have asked them to take me off their list. They call your home, cell phone , they call at early as 8 am. Each time they say they will take me off their list and I get a phone call again the next day. They call numerous times the same day and always claim it's a glitch in their systemDesired Settlement: I don't want to be contacted ever again

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

If according to At your service that I'm on the do not call list and I have not received any phone calls then why was I called on Sept [redacted] at 5:12 pm? Do they mean that I NOW have been placed on their do not call list and I will never receive calls in the future?

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: At your service Came to my home on 9/*/14 to refinish my wood floors, the livingroom, den, hall closets and stairs,Which included sanding, restaining, and Polyurethane. they arrived at 10.00 am and finished somewhere around 9.00 pm. when it was dark.

During the time while they were there [redacted] broke my den fan, which he had put on and the large stick he was using to put down the poly hit the fan and it broke all over the floor.

In the meanwhile I had asked why the stain was all over my molding and doors and wall? I was told that could not be helped. If I had Known I would have taken it off or put on covering. But after doing my research that is NOT common with other companies, they remove moldings and doors, or they take extra care.

But it wasn't until the next day when they said I could walk on it I saw that the real damage had occured.

My floors where uneven, rough, you can see the circular motion of the sander in the floor, drops of stain, in spots, and the floor is much darker in some spots (big) spots then others.

They missed many areas along the walls and in corners,in the closets, they actually stained and polyed over the sand in the corners. They didn't even have the sense to move the cable cord to sand and stain behind that.

My stairs and UNEVEN, they didn't do to the sides of the step? They need to be resanded to even them and get the sanding marks out of them.

I called back and spoke to "[redacted]" not a very plesant man he keep cutting me off as I tried to speak, which anoyed him because I would say can I please finish what I was saying, then I would and he would cut in again.

I told him I did not want [redacted] to come back , he tell's me he is sending the foreman, between 12.00-3.00 they will call a half hour before they come. they do, except the half hour turns into 1 1/2 hours, and when I called to find where he is they tell me he had to stop back at the office before he came to my house to get something he needed before he came?

So [redacted] shows up...... I call [redacted]....Who by the way has a few alais last names......

and he tells me he told me [redacted] is the foreman, to which I say and HE did my floors?

Ihang up on him.

I will say I am thankful my daughter voice recorded the whole conversation between me and [redacted] because He even agreed the floors needed to be resanded again and restained. Not just another coat of poly.

He goes outside to talk to rob, comes in tells me he told rob what needed to be done, rob will be calling me. I ask when, and what will be going on with my floors? He said that he told him I wanted my money back, the fan fixed, that the floors needed to be resanded which again I have on recording.

Well I need to call rob, becuase he does not call me, and he tells me they will be here on wednesday to fix them.

I asked identify what you mean by fix them, He states the spots that need touching up....

To which I replied NO they need to be resanded, even [redacted] agreed, he said he spoke to him and that is not there agreement. I TOLD Him about the recording and that I wanted my oney back and the doors and molding fixed also, I would be now getting estimates on all the damage done.

He replied we can be there wednesday to fix the floors.

I said no and said I will see you in court.Desired Settlement: Refund of the 1820.00 cash I gave, Money for the fan that was broken and money for the damage done to the wood doors. I can send estimates, pictures, and voice recordings.

Business

Response:

The consumer contacted us the the day after the work was done.

1) we apologized about the fan and asked her to submit an estimate to repair it and we would pay for it.

2) Consumer was not satisfied and in a timely manner we sent the technician back the next day.

In terms of scheduling we were doing our best to work around the consumers schedule. However, the consumer, while I appreciate her frustration, was making it excessively difficult to schedule an appointment at a time that would have allowed us to address her concerns on the spot.

The consumer would not allow us in until mid afternoon to see the floors. As expressed to the consumer we would be happy to address all her concerns regarding the hardwood floors, again in a timely manner.

However touching up of paint and or molding, is not included in the price and would be the consumers responsibility.

We are not offering the consumer a refund. Again, we are happy to take care of her issues, as soon as this week.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience the consumer has encountered with our company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The reason [redacted] you were not allowed in between 8:00-10:00 was because I could not take more time off from my job. I agreed to meet you at my home at 12:30, to which you replied you could not set a time. It would have to be between 12:00-3:00

Fernando arrived at 3:10.

after numerous calls on my part! I have my cell phone records if you would like!

but back to the floors, AGAIN you said you would NOT resand them, you would just "fix" certain areas!

The floors are gouged along with the stairs, you can see the sander marks they are uneven.. And again my WOOD doors are trashed along with my molding. I can see a spot here or there, but it is all over everything.

your foreman [redacted] agreed they the floors needed to be resanded! And refinished! It is all on voice recording.

I will not do this he said she said thing with you.

I want a refund. The fan replaced and the paint on the molding fixed and my doors. You should have put it in writing that damage was going to be done, and there was going to be more of an expense.

Review: I had At Your Service come to my home to powerwash my driveway.

They stated that the powerwashing was $300 for the first 3 hours and then $75 every additional hour.

They sent an individual that did not know how to do the job and had to have their "foreman" come down and assist.

I told the representative that I did not want to pay for the individuals time who wasnt experienced and the representative became very hostel over the phone and actually hung up on me.

I then told him I wanted them to leave my property and to bill me for the work he said they do not do billing.

At that point I had to pay them cash $300 for them to leave my property.

They left my property in worse condition prior to their arriving, also the person who left threw a cup at my house at the time of dismissal.

This was a horrible situation that no one should happen to them.

We have a party this Sunday and now we have to take on this service ourselves.Desired Settlement: Full Refund.

Response:

The consumer and I had a lengthy conversation prior to sending anyone to there home.I reviewed the prices for the hourly service. The consumer told me that based upon the very large driveway, the work would most certainly take well over the three hour minimum.Upon the consumers concerns about the work being done, I immediately sent over a foreman to inspect the work done, credit the consumer as necessary, and complete the service. When the foreman showed up, at approximately three and half hours or so into the service,He said the technician was not far from being finished, and that at this stage of the service there were no issues. To assure the consumers satisfaction I asked my foreman to stay at the job with the other gentlemen to make sure that everything finished well.In addition, as the consumer is aware of, his wife was suppose to be there when my foreman showed up to address her concerns. The consumer was not there. I assured her husband, who was not there, there were no issues at this time and that everything was CLOSE to being finished. The consumer insisted that I immediately have the technicians pack up and collect $300 from the housekeeper.I said are you sure? Its ALMOST done . . he said pack up and have them leave. We did as instructed. We have a signed agreement for the hourly service. The consumer has paid for three hours of service and although they were there for quite a bit longer, we are not holding the consumer responsible for any additional monies.

I reject the businesses response and still require a fullrefund. The business was totally unprofessional and would not leave my property untilthey were paid.I asked the representative to bill me and he said we do not bill. Also his"technician" and "foreman" left my property in worseconditions then prior to their arrival. The technician or foreman threw a soda cup at myproperty at the time of departure (Extremely uncalled for and unprofessional)Also after I threatened to take the company to litigation the representative'sanswer was "Wouldn't be the first time" showing that this company hasdone this to other customers. Also in connection to my wife being present at the time of the foreman'sarrival, it was stated that the foreman would be at the property within 10minutes. It took him 45 minutes to arrive and my wife had to go back to work,my nanny was home and no one cared to show her the service being done. Also once the foreman arrived I was suppose to receive photos via text messageand I never received them. Also in connection to the businesses comment in connection to the size of thedriveway and the amount of hours it will take, If the job was done correctlyand in a professional manner I would have no problem paying any amount. In conclusion please review mystatement of how this "Business" left my property andplease make the decision that I am due a refund.I have tried to attach pictures but everytime there is a secure sever error I will try attaching in a separate message.Thank you,[redacted]

Review: I had a screen door installed in my house on 3/**/14 by At Your Service. The technician took 3 hours to install the door and he spent about 1.5 hours of the time reading instructions and the manual how to install the door which should of been done on his time not the time I am paying for to have the door installed. The main problem is that after 3 hours that I paid the door still does not close right and the screen that was installed on the door by the technician was broken and detached. I made numerous calls to the company and they promised a tech would be there on 4/*/10 between 1-4 and never showed up. I called them where he was and they said he was on another job and I informed them they should of called us since my wife took off work and waited for them. They promised they would send they would send tech back the next day on 4/**/14 between 1-4 and the same thing happened. The tech did not show up and my wife waited again and I called them and they said the tech was on another job and could not make it. I informed them they should of let us know and they said they would send a tech today and I tired of their promises. I would like my money back and hire a contractor who will fulfill their duties and fix the problem.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my money back or I can hire a door contractor that can fix the problem that At Your Service could not come back and do and they can pay the difference.

Review: I had hardwood floors sanded and polyurethane applied to 2 bedrooms and stairs and landing leading to second floor. This service resulted in shoddy work. Pools of polyurethane in certain areas, No polyurethane in other areas, No sanding or polyurethane in other areas.

Customer service is non existent for they offered the choice of waiting until Tuesday 8/**/13 between 1 and 5 to look at the problem which means four people have no place to sleep for we cannot put the furniture back and remove it again on Monday 8/**/13. This job began on 8/**/13 being I was going away for the week. They were to return on 8/**/13 but that changed for they did not finish until late on the [redacted] and the floors needed a full 48 hours to cure. I had to call them to find out why they did not show up on the [redacted] and that is when I was told they would be there on the [redacted] between 8 and 10am. I confirmed the contact number for them to call so that my family would meet them at the home on that day. Instead they called me at 7:30am and 9:30am not the person in NY. So I am in Las Vegas and they are calling my home number in NY which sent me a text message to inform of missed calls. I contacted Annette as requested and was told by the representative you can speak to anyone when I discussed the problem I was cold transferred to someone that did not state her name after arguing with her for 40 minutes I was told "There is nothing that can be done on the [redacted] for I did not call back in time so we made it for the [redacted] between 8 and 10am I again confirmed the phone to call. I demanded a return call from the [redacted] or [redacted] on Tuesday and was told he would call me back until today he never has. On the [redacted] at 9:30am a call was received from the company stating that they would be there between 12 and 2 because somebody called in sick. I think the person should have called in before 9:30am and but the company chooses to wait until 9:30am to let my home know they would not be there. so this now makes it that furniture cannot be placed on the floors until 8/**. Agreement made to deduct $50.00 from contracted price due to late notification of change in time.

On 8/** I return home from vacation to find the shoddy work done.

Areas not sanded, no polyurethane on underside and side of steps, polyurethane pooled in certain areas. Called to report on 8/**/13 at 11:00am told to call back after 3pm for customer service issues. Called at 3:04pm was told that they need a complete list of issues there are so many that they will see them when they come but I gave her the list as I was walking through the rooms. I was then told they would have somewhere here on Tuesday 8/**/13 between 1pm and 5pm. When I told her that was not good enough and I asked where are four people to sleep she stated "I don't know what to tell you" She again stated the same Tuesday apt was I reluctantly accepted. I again asked for [redacted] or [redacted] and was told He is away until Monday 8/**/13,. I asked why I was not told this last week she said "I don't know what to tell you but I have to go I have another call coming in" and hung up.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of what I paid for I have to get someone else to fix this. If they are indeed going to repair this I would like a partial refund due to the poor quality of work, unwillingness to provide customer service and time it is taking to complete this job causing additional time off from work and unnecessary expenses.

Total paid was $1,495.00.

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience the consumer has encountered.

The consumer has been contacted and her issues will all be taken care of in a timely manner.

We hired At Your Service for a few small jobs (mounting a television, hanging two flag cases, and cleaning/re-grouting and caulking in two bathrooms). We wanted to add another small task, and upon calling, the person who answered was rude and unhelpful, stating that he had the original work order in front of him, but somehow was still unable to confirm what we had already scheduled them for. I was extremely put off by that, but decided to continue on. I knew immediately that was a mistake, as the worker arrived over an hour earlier than the time frame provided without the pre-arrival call I was promised. He then left because he did not have the necessary material for mounting the television (which they said he would already have with him.) While he did mount the television upon his return, the flag cases are noticeably uneven and crooked. We had him look at another small job we wanted done in order to generate an estimate. He told us someone would contact us with that information, but no one ever did (a blessing in disguise). He then informed us that a second worker would be coming to perform the grout and caulk work. Upon his arrival, the first worker sat in the bathroom with the second worker and instructed him on how to caulk a tub and do the other work necessary. He then left for another job. The man working on the caulk did an awful job. It was uneven, sparse in some places while piled on in others, and was all over the tiles. I’m shocked the tub hasn’t started leaking yet. He claimed to have cleaned the grout around the floor and wall tiles, but there is absolutely no evidence that he even tried to clean it. The first worker left what was supposed to be my receipt, which the second worker then took from me, saying he had to take it back with him. He then failed to give me any kind of receipt, even after asking more than once. When payment is expected in cash, I expect a receipt in return. Run run RUN away from this company.

Review: The company was hired to clean the grout in my bathroom and seal the floor. They also cleaned the carpet in an additional room. The bathroom services were the problem. The workman cleaned the grout, but did not remove the dirt he dislodged from the grout before sealing the floor. I didn't notice this until after he left because it was in areas concealed by the toilet and in the far corners of the bathroom. You can not walk on the floor to inspect the work because it needs to dry. The next day the sealant starting coming up in the areas where the dirt was underneath. It was sticking to the bottom of our feet when we got out of the shower. About a week later, I cleaned the floor with typical bathroom cleaner and the sealant was coming off on my hands in sheets. I called the company and set up an appointment for them to fix it. I was given a window for their arrival. I confirmed the appointment that morning. They did not show up. When I called to see where they were they said they would call me back. I waited 20 mins. and did not receive a phone call. I called back and was placed on hold. They said the truck broke and they would not be able to send anyone else that day, even though they appear to be a large company. I was having company and needed the bathroom repaired. I asked to speak to a [redacted] and was placed on a call with someone named [redacted] who was disrespectful. He refused to refund my money and insisted I could make a third appointment at another time to have the job corrected. When I inquired about scheduling this appointment and who he would be sending, he said they only have one person and that I would likely be receiving the same workman that did the poor job the first time. I explained that was not acceptable and he was very rude. I asked to speak to the [redacted] and he said, "There isn't one." My husband called requesting our money back and gave them a week to do so. It has been over a month and we have received no refund. We must now hire a company to fix it.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back.

Business

Response:

The consumer was not promised a refund to correct a minor issue with the sealant. I repeatedly made every option available to the consumer to send someone back to their home to correct the very minor issue.

Before the other cleaning company was coming to clean their home or after. a different day, a different week. . .whatever worked for them. The consumer was (unnecessarily,)excessively difficult. I then spoke with the husband who then made a variety of threats to the company. We would be happy to have someone come back within a reasonable two hour window Monday through Friday.

Review: Called ad in paper advertising At Your Service Handyman Solutions, inc, wood floors refinished as low as $100 per room. Walk in rooms within 3 hrs,no vapors & no odor. Receptionist had me give her the estimations of the room verbally & gave me a quote of $650.water base, $100.nail removal & $50.an hr furniture moving. As I read over the 1 piece of paper I was given as a "work order" it states that payment had to be by cash, certified check or money order. [redacted] ([redacted]) called to tell me that job will not be completed today & now that repairs needed to be done it would cost me $878.45 more & I owed a payment of $900.00 today. I told him that when I spoke with his receptionist (7/**/13) I was never informed the form of payment & I assumed I would be able to use a credit card. I had to rush out to find a bank for $900.00 at the last minute. Workers left @ 4 pm leaving my wood bed frame sitting outside in my shed. [redacted] assured me that he would send over his best repair man that come Mon 7/**/13. Monday at 10:10 a.m I received a call stating that the employee called in sick and will not be coming. Job was rescheduled for wk 2 on 10/**/13 whereas 1 worker came to remove wood board from floor & then a second worker who walked into my home at 12:30 pm NEVER identifying himself began to sand the floor. Come to find he was not the worker that was to come do the job but instead a young man who used quite a bit of profanity & left Red Bull cans in my home afterwards. Work was again not completed. An employee named [redacted] calls me to tell me that 70% of the work was completed & I owe $540.00 today. Wk 3 on 10/**/13 & Wk 4 on 10/**/13 WORK STILL NOT COMPLETED. My bdrm furiture is in my diningrm/kitchen &I'm sleeping on a cot 3 uncomfortable wksDesired Settlement: I believe I have been so horribly inconvenienced that my ending balance of $238.45 should have been waived. I have been inconvenienced & ignored of my discomforts. Things got so unprofessional I had to speak of hiring an attorney and file a claim of customer neglect & false advertisement. Is this company a licensed company ? Their license # is advertised as [redacted] If this company is not licensed & found to be fraudulent I would like to have my total cash payment of $ 1,440.00 refund

Business

Response:

The job would have easily been done in 1 day. However, upon removing the carpet, The consumer had a very large repair to the wood floor that we, nor the consumer could have known about without first moving the furniture and removing the carpet. We did our best to work with the customer with the price for the additional repair. We charged the customer 250 dollars for a repair that should have cost well over a thousand dollars. As was discussed with the customer upon seeing the repair, this could not be done in 1 day. In addition, we were limited by the consumers schedule as to when we could finish the job. We honored our prices as well as worked with the consumers schedule.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The company's response is irrelevant to THE FACT that the job completed was unprofessionally done as so is the staff. How does At Your Service explain the staples(from the carpet removed)still located in the wood floor that are dangerous to bare feet & pull holes to my socks, the unleveling of some of the wood slats, the slats that poke up from the floor, the loud creaking sounds of the boards they replaced as I walk across them, the several areas of the floor that instead of weaving a wood slat in,their workers filled the space with a plastic looking gel that has already sunken into floor from walking across it and also the spaces left open that if I drop a coin it'll fall between them. THE FACT that they left my bedframe in my backyard along with the cigarette butts & cans of Red Bull they threw on my property(they dissembled furniture & didnt reassemble)THE FACT they took my glass doors off of both of my California closets & left the doors in the hallway.THE FACT that I was NOT given a "paid receipt" for the money I paid nor do I have a written form of the 10 year warrantee they claim to give for work done.

To also add, the company claims that the work done was prolonged due to my schedule.I informed them from the very start that I could not take off during the work week. So how does that explain THE FACT that the job took 4 Saturdays to complete. The answer is, when employees show up to do job at any hour, spend more time using profanity & having personal conversations, leave out on 1 hr runs to store to pickup nails, wood, etc. Take numerous cigarette breaks. Pizza orders delivered & 1 1/2 hr break taken. Most importantly At Your Service responds that the job was done for $250. but cost much more. That is a horrible, horrible lie. They priced me as follows:$650 strip/stain,$100 remove carpet & nails,$50 furniture moving,$69.25 tax = $869.25 Then when they found repair was needed I was charged $350 board repair, $395 molding (THAT WAS NEVER DONE) they moved the molding that was already there down closer to floor, $64.20 tax = $809.20 TOTAL OF $1,678.45 (fully paid)! I have proof that job was poorly done, what does At Your Service have to dispute this FACT? Is this why they do not issue receipts? I have the one form given with employee signatures besides each payment made as evident of my payments.

Review: I hired at your service to move my furniture out and in the house, sand my floor to put one coat the same day, next day for second coat. On the same day a lady called me with the name Anne said ,"a man will come with contract to sign and give him $600.00 in cash, which the all job cost $650.00. I told her, I'm concerned job is not done yet that's most of the money I'm giving. She said" we been in business for 40 year, a man will bring you a contract you should be fine". Next day (Nov *, 2015 second coat, Nov *, 20015 your furniture will move back) no one called me. I decided to call spoke to Robert K[redacted] manager, Mary, Ann they all gave me 5 different appointment time from Nov *, to Nov **, 2015. I was told by a lady name Mary," driver got to an accident yesterday, he fixing his car, he will be here for second coat at 1 :00 pm. I waited till 3: pm, no one called me or showed up. I called back, mary answered, said," I don't know what to tell you, "I don't have nobody for second coat, you need to pay more money for second coat and move you furniture back in." The man that came to get the money gave receipt for $ 600.00 and agree with everything. don't understand it.

Thanks.Desired Settlement: I need help please on either second coat and my furniture move back as agreed or money back.

A man arrived for a service call, and I warned him that water stains the chair ..He indicated he will use water and a solvent to clean up the chair. and assured me there would be no problem. The upholstered chair seat is now covered all most entirely with a water stain..It is an expensive chair .I called the contractor; they said they do not accept responsibility for water stains.Desired Settlement: Take responsibility, take the chair to a professional service and get rid of the water stain

I recently hired [redacted] to remodel part of our basement and turn it in to a second
bathroom/laundry room. The work he does is absolutely amazing. He is very
reliable, precise, and does not cut corners. He does what is in the best
interest of the homeowner, while still keeping the budget in line. He does not
cut corners; If he sees an additional problem he would fix it, not ignore it.
I trusted him in my house alone and even with my family still home. I would
never hesitate to recommend [redacted] for any home improvement job. [redacted] will be the
first person I call in the future for any other job I might have.
