[redacted] your full of lies, I have all the pictures and the link to the truck. You're that type of person that wants something for nothing.
If the breaks were so "BAD" why didn't you say anything about it when you and your son test drove it twice and the responds I got both times from both is we love it and can we pick it up tomorrow. If the breaks were bad I would never have left my customer to go on a test drive. Once you towed it to the shop I was surprised and came back to you and said leave the truck here and I will fix it and you had an attitude saying oh no its ok ill bring it to my own mechanic. I am not sure how your son is driving and beating on the truck but that should not be my problem with a truck that was sold as is I am just very shocked how you want to complain about the problems when you said you loved the truck. Thank you Bob

I am...
rejecting this response because:
The back brake was so rusted, it could have caught fire you told us the brakes were inspected and fine which was a complete lie you sold the truck without a catalytic converter which is illegal we paid 17,000 for a truck that will cost us now more than 10,000 to fix Yes when people buy used cars I expect to put money to maintain but this is beyond acceptable Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I had two mechanics, with over 50 years of experience between them, tell me that the truck was sold without properly working rear breaks (bad caliper on the right rear). Additionally, if the truck had breaks that were at the legal limit when leaving the dealer, there is no way to wear down all of the brakes on the working wheels to the level they were when I brought the truck to my mechanis 45 days later. To further demonstrate the dealers lack of professionalism, about a week after visiting the dealer to explain the brake issue, the truck just shut off while traveling on the highway. Since I was only about 2 miles from the dealer, I had the truck towed there. I fully intended to pay for whatever caused the truck to die while driving as it was not at all related to the brake issue. Upon arriving at Atlantic Motors, one of the managers/owners came out of the ofice and told the tow truck driver and myself to not unload the truck and to get off of his property. That action clearly showed me that they want nothing to do with the stuff they sell once it leaves their lot. His exact reason, as stated to me, for not allowing the tow truck to leave my truck was because I did the wrong thing by reporting my experience regarding the brakes to the Revdex.com. If they were truly a reputable dealership and owned up to the fact that they did not check the brakes as stated on the checklist they handed me, I wouldn't have had a reason to contact the Revdex.com.
Sincerely,

This customer bought a truck from us a 2003 [redacted] F-350 via [redacted].com On our terms of sale it clearly states that we do not finance and that you must have the funds available in order to bid/buy the truck. Anyways they bought the truck then they asked us to finance them. They put $5000 down and we...
told them we will try and see if we can find a bank that will finance their truck even though we do not do the financing, the bank responded to us that they cannot finance their truck due to its age 2003 and the truck was too old to get financed. We then returned their $5000 back and told them that the bank won't finance them and that they'll need to try another bank or come up with another solutions. These customers were the worst people i've ever dealt with since I been in business for 18 years. Very rude, very demanding, unprofessional customer that nobody should ever deal with, I tried and did everything for them but these are those type of customers that no matter what you do for them they will never be happy. I returned their deposit of $5000 back and I am done with them, I don't know what else they want from us? Tracy if you have any questions call me directly.

I am rejecting this response because: Although it was a "As Is" sale, it was based on the verbal agreement of repairs of the larger items that needed immediate repairs at no expense to me and...
that it passed their inspection as being safe for the road even though I was not given a copy but I can assure you that I will have proof of fraudulent reporting as I have documentation from another garage who thoroughly went through the truck with no knowledge of why they were being asked to do it as reporting that the vehicle mentioned is not safe and several items Atlantic Motors reported as passing inspection indeed do not. I will be taking it to court to prove it and that is how confident I am in their misguided and fraudulent behavior.

I disagree with his complaint, the guy that wrote this complaint is not even the customer that is his friend that I spoke to and I did tell him I will take it back but will have to give him trade in offer and sell him another truck but the truck when it left my lot it has been a nice truck runs...
beautiful, yes there was rust on the frame which was mentioned and I also gave the customer back some money and was happy ~ I was very surprised when I got a phone call from his friend saying that the truck had issues and that he called me 4 - 5 months later to address the issues. Something does not sound right here - I think his friend is just trying to get money out of me. Some people no matter what you do they will still try to get more out of you. I forgot to mention also this Truck he bought from me at an auction.
This is all not true I have all paperwork that, this was an private sale and I sell mostly diesels on the lot and I just wanted to get rid of it so I put it online for 3,000 and it retails at about 6,000 and I have told them this you will see some problems due to that is why it is so cheap and they...
agreed to purchase it. I really do not get why all this is a surprise to them but I also have all paperwork she has 0 warranty with 0 miles and signed that she is buying the car as is. That is true that they been calling me but I been on vacation which I just got back and I have told them please do not call my cell if you wanted to talk to someone give the shop a call.Thank you
Buying a used truck with over 100,000 miles and 6 months later you're having brake issues? Of course it's a 1 ton truck that you put it to work it might need brakes or whatever after that long period of time anything you buy used will require something eventually.
[redacted] the inspection was done by our mechanics and it was mailed to you with the rest of the paperwork. The truck was represented as it is and we didn't hide anything. There's nothing we can do.

I am rejecting this response because: There response is all lies. My father had to have the Waterbury police come with him to the dealership to get my personal papers and deposit, after they denied him when he went to the dealership alone first. So many other complaints on there site are similar to mine and the police stated they're very unaware of there shady business ethics. They're a joke of a business. I'm the lucky one. I got out before they completely screwed me over. Hopefully they will not be allowed to do this to anyone else.
Sincerely,

This is all incorrect info, I would never tell a customer he or she is all set till the contract is signed due to the loan was not approved because due to the title was held for a week at the lien holder and I told them you have to wait a week and I would get them the truck they started giving me an...
attitude and saying I wanted it now and there was nothing I can do at this point. I told him come on down fi you want to talk and I will refund your deposit if you would like. Also it is not my responsibility to pay for any body insurance. His credit was ran 3 times due to he was a little kid and couldn't make up his mind which truck he wanted. His father then came to the dealership because he was told by me "Bob" to come down and get your deposit if he didn't want to wait the week, so then he came down very nice guy and was talking to him and understood the situation and give him a check and then he left. Next day I see this... I thank lord I did not sell him a truck since they are liars and just trying to make my business look bad.thank you
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Your inspection, which we did not receive, does not say anything about being locked in 4x4 low. When I talked to your manager he said he would pay for the motor on the side of the transfer case and I told him that was not the only thing wrong. That, In fact, we would have our mechanics look at it and fix the things that were misrepresented, and mail you the estimate.
The truck would not even run. Fuel pump had to be towed into the shop. Sincerely,[redacted]
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: At the time of the purchase I had my mother and uncle with me Bob tried to charge more then what his brother agreed to when he talked with my uncle he even went as far as to change the price online and pull it up to show. My uncle informed him of the price he was giving and Bob then went with the price of 3,000 he even went as far as to giving me 20$ to get the truck clean. Bob did not state that the vehicle had any issues or would have any issues. Bob informed me that it needed a oil change. Bob gave my uncle and myself his business card and stated if I had any problems to give him a call. The car was purchased on Friday January 1st while driving home the Engine light came on and went back off, then on Sunday, January 3 the engine light came on and stayed on. Tuesday when I went to get the oil change and run it through it mission it didn't pass and I then Found out exactly what was wrong with it. I had to then pay to get a diagnostic test done once that was done I receive the price of how much it will cost to get all the work done that is needed. A few days later on January 8 I received a text message from Bob around nine something at night asking if I ran the truck with missions yet. I then informed that I did run the truck through admissions and it failed. I told Bob it needs 2,000 thousand dollars worth of work done to it Bob words were "What does it need that's impossible" he then said he would give me a call the next day. At no time did Bob tell me not to call or text his at no time did Bob tell me not to call or text his cell phone. Since that text I have not heard from Bob or been able to get in touch with him. For someone to say they told me the truck would have issue why would they check in and say it's impossible for it to have the issues that it have. Bob was untruthful with the sale and sold me a voice dream of the truck passing admission. I have four small kids I cannot afford $2000 to get out truck fixed that I paid 3000 for not only weeks ago. I need to get back-and-forth to work and this is the only means of transportation that I have. My temporary plate runs out on the 31st and there's no way I will be able to get it registered without having this work done for it to pass admissions. All I'm looking for is to have the work done on the truck so that way I can continue to get to work so I can provide for my kids.
Sincerely

A few months ago I purchased a supercharged [redacted] from Atlantic Motors LLC on a no reserve auction via [redacted] I drove nearly 2,000 miles round trip to pick up the [redacted] on a car carrier and bring it home. I test drove the [redacted] before purchasing it and I noticed that it generally seemed to lack power despite being supercharged. I also noticed that there was a small coolant leak coming from the front of the engine. Nevertheless, I felt somewhat committed to the deal because I spent $1,500 on transportation costs and a $500 deposit to pick up the [redacted]. After purchasing the [redacted], the gentleman that was doing the paperwork with me, informed me that I would not be able to take the title home with me; the title was at another storage location. Now feeling completely obligated to follow through with the deal, I hesitantly agreed to have the title mailed to me. The good news is that the title did come in the mail a week later and it was clean and clear. The bad news is that the catalytic converter was completely clogged and it caused the engine to overheat the first time I drove it more than 10 miles. Additionally, there was severe damage to the rear drive shaft, causing the dash to violently rattle and shake above 35 mph. The new catalytic converter was a $1,500 expense on top of the towing bill and the new drive shaft was $800. I personally believe that Atlantic Motors LLC sold me a [redacted] with a known issues in order to maximize their profit by not repairing or disclosing issues. I do not seek any monetary reimbursement as there is no way I can prove that they knew about the issues, nor do I believe that they would ever admit to such an accusation.
Customer drove truck, liked it, and purchased truck "AS IS"

I am rejecting this response because:Maybe you have your sales mixed up. What I have stated is absolutely true and accurate. Why would I drive 1700 miles round trip with cashiers check in hand for the exact amount owed after paying $500 down payment? I had already placed insurance on the truck. Since you don't remember our transaction I'll remind you that I had a witness with me. I left without the truck because it was not the truck I had purchased through [redacted]. (Refer to previous response).
You've had plenty of opportunities to make this right. Calling me names, hanging up on me, avoiding calls, blackmailing, and attackng my character are some examples of how not to make things right. If you did this accidentally that is one thing, but to completely deny what actually happened only proves your malicious intent from the very beginning. If you were innocent, or even reputable, you would have at least refunded my deposit when you agreed to do so.
Sincerely,[redacted]
They welded one part of that exhaust not the other half which fell off days after. I was there a couple times due to I didn't know which truck I wanted and changed my mind and was waiting for the loan to get accepted. The mechanics said this was a ok going problem with the truck. The exhaust broke power steering the plow and now the injectors I just keep putting money into this truck and they won't help. When I picked up the truck after they "fixed" the exhaust he wasn't even there, no one was there so there was no way I said it was perfect. I called them and told them it broke again not it was perfect

I am rejecting this response because:The situation should never have happened in the first place. 1) If I am correct, a business is not allowed to have someone under aged (17y/o)...
sign a contract to start with. 2) It is quite unethical to collect 6500 cash from a kid and then provide a receipt for 1000.3) The car was advertised as excellent condition and then when my son drove 2 hours to look at it he was lied about the ABS light, new brakes and much more. I believe it is called the "bait and switch" when you advertise something one way and not have that excellent condition car available. 4) It took me 5 phone calls and several emails to get someone to listen to me. I was hung up on.5) I was told "Bob" was to be fired for these acts but I see he continues to sell cars.6) I believe the IRS and Insurance Board might have an issue with companies who provide a receipt for 5500 less than what was actually paid for with the statement "you will pay less in taxes and insurance that way"I have plenty more if you would like me to keep going. I also have all the documents to back up everything that I am stating.
Sincerely,

Review: Car was advertised as a reliable, clean, one owner vehicle that started right up and was very healthy so I paid accordingly. I paid to ship car to me, got plates on it and first time I drove it noticed many things wrong with it that were not disclosed. I took it to to mechanics and they confirmed the following: Waste Gate Actuator rotted away and not hooked up; turbo gummed up with carbon, rear brake rotors are wore out, left rear calper froze up and innoperable, emergency brake cable not functioning, and air conditioning compressor not working. Estimated repairs in excess of $1,200 and that figure does not include if the turbo needs to be replaced and if the AC compressor needs replaced. I cannot get a hold of the dealer by phone (always goes to fax) so I have been emailing him; I notified him of the driveability issues and he told me to have the mechanic check the waste gate actuator so that tells me he knew of the issue prior to the sale but never disclosed it. EBay Item# [redacted] Copy of ad follows: For sale we have a 1 Owner [redacted]! This [redacted] features the reliable 1.9L Turbo DIESEL motor. This [redacted] was just recently traded-in for a newer car. The car is a 1 owner and it has a clean [redacted] with no accidents and clean title (we can always fax you a copy of the [redacted]). The motor starts right up each time and it sounds solid and very healthy. The 5-Speed manual transmission shifts smoothly thru out all the gears with no issues and the clutch grabs strong. The car is a [redacted] so it has the power options, sun-roof, heated seats, cold a/c, and warm heat. Tires are in excellent condition. Very low mileage car for a [redacted] only 119,035 Any questions message us. VIN: [redacted] Product_Or_Service: 2[redacted]
Account_Number: EBay# [redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund of full purchase price plus cover all shipping costs.
Business
Response:
He got a really nice running [redacted] with low mileage. He is inexperienced with these 1.9L [redacted]s. We sold him a good running car for $3000 way below [redacted].
Consumer
Response:
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)
I am experienced with the 1.9L [redacted] as I currently own two of them and my wife and I have been driving them for years. I know very well how they should drive.
I paid $5000 for the car plus $200 for doc fees plus $500 in shipping. The [redacted] retail value for a car in "Excellent" condition is $6342. The car they sold me is far from being excellent.
The list of defects that were found by two different mechanics follows:
Turbo wastegate rotted through; turbo not working. Replacement of turbo assembly needed.
All four brake rotors worn out and calipers are froze up and need replaced as well. Brake master cylinder not working properly and needs replaced.
Air conditioning blows warm air and still needs to be diagnosed as to the actual problem.
I have and estimate to fix the turbo and brake issues and it is just under $3000. If the seller would have disclosed all the issues with this car then I never would have bought it; certainly would not have paid full retail for it.
Consumer
Response:
I have a copy of the estimate from the auto repair shop if you need a copy.
I am in the process of getting the car repaired and would like Atlantic Motors to refund me the cost of the repairs since they hid the defects by not disclosing them in their ad for the car.
