I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me, SO LONG as my bank account was not debited in the period from July 2013 to date.  (I recall that, even though the rental was arranged by the offending driver's insurance company ([redacted]),  I had to give Hertz a deposit against my debit card when the rental was processed in July 2012.)

I will wait until business can confirm that (A) no debit was or will be processed in connection with these alleged violations and (B) it has performed the actions indicated in its communication to the Revdex.com.  If it does, I will consider this complaint resolved.

Out of state customers seem to be at a disadvantage when it comes to Toll Roads and Fees in [redacted] that are imposed upon them. On 12/04/14, my daughter Kareen B[redacted], used my Priceline charge card to rent a vehicle from [redacted]. On 12/07/15 the car was returned to [redacted]. At no time on 12/07, did [redacted] mention or try to collect a Toll Road Fee or even state that one was going to be charged. When I received my Jan, 2016 statement from Priceline, I had been billed $15.26 for a PlatePass Toll Road fine. At no time during the initial rental, was a PlatePass All-Inclusive pass was ever offered to her or 3 other people in our group. We were all shocked and surprised when we were charged a $15.00 fine. I tried to go on line to see and get a copy of the fine, but was unsuccessful. I was told that the fine was submitted electronically and no copy was available. I feel that this was done on purpose and it is all a scam to make money off unsuspecting tourist. I would like my money back and I would like Revdex.com to request [redacted] to be upfront about their rental policies.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

1. I pre-paid for my rental car online and the original agreement (see the attached file) that was emailed did not contain any information RE: plate pass or ATS or any additional charges. The fine print does say that IF additional charges apply, they would be charged AT the time or rental and not 2 weeks later.  It may have been in the contract that I received when I rented the car, but it is unethical to change a contract AFTER it has been paid without notifying the involved parties. Hertz did not notify me of any changes, therefore I assumed I was signing a copy of the agreement that was emailed to me previously.

2.  I maintain that I did not go through any toll booths on 1/31 unless they were invisible- I did not stop on the way to the hotel. My city does not have toll booths so I don't understand how it works. Unless I am stopped, I assume there is no fee.  If you have video coverage, I would like to see that in addition to the receipt that you paid on my behalf.

3.  You indicated that the Beeline toll saw that I was enrolled in plate pass and charged me the normal rates. If you know that I paid for the toll on Feb 4, then why did you charge me a 2nd time?

We provided an affidavit to the city requesting the liability be transferred out of the rental company’s name and into yours in order to protect our client’s vehicles, as well as to give you the opportunity to dispute the citation with the issuing authority if you wish to do so.

Dear [redacted],  Thank you for contacting the ATS Processing Services. We would be happy to assist you in regard to Notice Number [redacted]. When we receive a violation from the issuing authority we will have two options depending on when we receive the notice....

We can either transfer the violation out of the registered rental car company’s name and into your name or we will be responsible for making payment towards the violation to prevent further penalties.In this instance the issuing authority did transfer the liability for the violation into your name. The issuing authority has reissued the violation in your name and should mail it to you at the address on file. If you feel this violation was issued in error or you feel you should not have received this violation, please contact the issuing authority to dispute the violation directly. We will not be able to dispute the violation on your behalf. As we value you as a renter, we will waive this $30.00 administrative fee as a one-time courtesy. Please be advised that there will be an administrative fee on any future violations that occur in rental vehicles, and we would not be able to waive it as a courtesy.
