I am sorry that Mr [redacted] is unhappy with the prefinished Knotty Alder planking he purchasedWe sent a letter to Mr [redacted] dated 2/14/ informing him that he could return the planking for a refund, or exchange, in accordance with Menards return policyHe was again informed in an email dated 3/14/that the product could be returned, but it did not carry a labor or incidental warrantyIt appears as though Mr [redacted] does not want to return the planking, but is seeking a refund for the purchaseI believe that Menards does not issue refunds for products unless they are returned.We value Mr***'s business and appreciate his understanding in this matter

They're owned by Menards, a multi billion dollar company I've read many complaints about them & it appears their response to the complaints about doors is repetitiveThey offer to replace the defective piece, but never offer to help the customer offset the additional pout of pocket costs I felt it fair and reasonable that they replace the door and give me a refund for original cost of the door of approximately $200.00, which will help cover some of my out of pocket costs to replace/refinish the door Considering I spent almost $5,for all new doors in the house, I think this is a fair request.I've attached photo's for your reference Please let me know next steps Regards, Peggy [redacted]

Thank you for your assistance in contacting Midwest Manufacturing in Eau Claire, WI reference my complaint with their solid surface countertop I received an email from them requesting to have their quality control technician come to my home to inspect my countertops This past week the quality control technician did come to inspect and take photos of the countertop Several days later I received an email from them saying that they will offer an upgrade to quartz countertops to replace the defective solid surface countertops that were installed in my home I and my wife are very please with this settlement and I'm writing to you to let you know that you can close out my case if you desire Again, thank you very much for your assistance in this matterCordially yours, Tom ***

HOWEVER, after removing the "defective" lite frame, it was very apparent that the lite frame was not to blame, but poor manufacturing standards were! The corner of the door where the draft was coming in was found to be approximately 1/2" thinner than the rest of the door! The lite frame was not cracked and the screw holes were not strippedThe lite frame in fact was performing as it should, but the door was defective! (Only took months and replacement lite frames to find that out!) I called Menards and the manager has ordered me a new doorMy only hope is that their standards for hinge placement aren't as sloppy as the door thickness so that I will be able to simply remove the hinge pins and swap the doors Regards, [redacted]
