Auto Credit Reviews (61)

Rude workers, shady business practices that prey on the poor, overpriced and high payment cars that are usually in sub-par condition.

The sales team at all locations are unprofessional and dirty. The customer service is horrible. I've dealt with very un professional individuals who talked down to me. The quality of the vehicles are also very poor. Regrettably I've purchased two vehicles from auto credit and both times they broke down immediately. I bought a Mazda from them and the transmission shot a week later. I sat on this vehicle for a year while I paid it off and as soon as I got the title I sold it to a salvage yard. I also purchased a mercury cougar and the clutch went out two months after I got it. Same story. Auto credit is a volume dealer with a crack job repair center. Their vehicles are horrible and the service is worse.

Review: I purchased a 2004 Ford Expedition on payments for $9800.00 in April 2013 from the Ruby location for . This was my second vehicle purchased from them, they took my minivan as trade at $1800.00 and $1500.00 cash. One year later I took my Expedition to the mechanic to replace the fuel pump and when he put the car up on the rack he said my car had "Severe rust all over vehicle- frame is rusted to the point of holes in side of frame- inner & outer front body mount rusted off." He said it looked like my car had sat in a river for months and did not feel comfortable having me drive it with my 5 children. I brought my vehicle back to the lot and asked them if they could make it right. They said they could try to get me into something else and had me test drive another SUV and they started paperwork to get the new SUV that was priced at $13000. They asked if I could put any cash down towards the purchase and I told them no I had not planned on having to purchase a new vehicle at that moment. after 4 hours I saw someone else take the SUV out for a test drive. Then they said they couldn't make my deal happen. When I called 2 days later to ask if they would just take my Expedition back and get me out of the loan they said they have nothing to do with the vehicle anymore. Two days after this call, Auto credit called asking me to bring my Expedition in so they could see the rust themselves, After the general manager looked at it he said it was rusty but I could still drive it. He also said I could take it to some other car lot and trade it in and not tell them about the rust. I then took it to another repair shop and the mechanic said it was the second worse case of rust that he has seen in his 30+ years of working on cars. This vehicle should have never been sold to me.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the balance on my loan plus the $3300 for my trade in and cash that was put towards the down payment.

Review: This is [redacted] and [redacted]. On 9/13/2013 we purchased a 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bower Addition for the grand total of $13,459.46 despite 2 vehicles...

2003 Chevy Blazer 104,000 miles catagorized as Very Good Condition, Kelly Blue Book valued at $4,091.00 Trade In Value on 11/11/2013, the trade in value would have been more on 9/14. This was my husbands vehicle for work only.

1996 Chevy Suburban with 180,000. Kelly Blue Book Trade In Value 11/11/14, $1,684. This vehicle was for our family of 5.

The Blazer had minor crack in the front grill. Period. The Suburban needed a tune up. Period.

Neither trade in has been or was deducted in the purchase of a Ford Expedition Eddie Bower Addition on 9/13/2013.

Gap Insurance added without our knowledge.

How did this happen? Why now?

In 2004 my husband of 15 years passed at home. My two boys, then 7 and 10 years and I were very uncertain we wanted to stay in this home. We proceeded to hire a construction company to remodel to stay in our home. Approximately 40 some odd citations between Labor and Industries and Spokane County were issued to the construction company for the damage on our home. This construction company also choose to do some shopping on our life insurance money! The cost to repair the home was astronomical!!! Bankrupcy followed!!! Leaving us bad credit and Auto Credit!

Thinking Auto Credit had integrity and with a son at Sacred Heart Hospital we purchased a vehicle from the 2712 N. Ruby, Spokane WA. 99207 location. We first purchased the Chevy Suburban from Auto Credit around 2008, felt Auto Credit treated us fairly and returned to purchase the Ford Expedition on 9/13/2013.

We found out through researching trading in our Ford for a roomier vehicle for a family of 5 and a teen son 6'8" and 300 plus pounds, that we had GAP Insurance!

We did NOT have knowledge of the GAP insurance we unknowingly purchased when the Ford Expedition was purchased. We were told by an employee at Auto Credit that we can cancel this GAP insurance and have a refund of approximately $500!

On 9/15/2014 we filled out a GAP COVERAGE CANCELLATION FORM for:

CLASSIC GAP [redacted] FAX [redacted]

On 11/10/2014 through a phone call to CLASSIC GAP we discovered in talking with a [redacted] at CLASSIC GAP that this company has NO contract, NO information, NO knowledge of our families vehicle! AFTER we sent the cancelation forms given to our family from AUTO CREDIT 2! A cancelation form SIGNED by the owner or manager of AUTO CREDIT 2 for a GAP INSURANCE POLICY in AFFECT through a company that DOES NOT CARRY our GAP INSURANCE!!!

We DID NOT SEE UNTIL WE DISCOVERED HOW UTTERLY UPSIDE DOWN WE ARE WITH THIS VEHICLE that WE THOUGHT WE DID NOT NEED THIS GAP INSURANCE ONLY TO DISCOVER THAT IN FACT WE DO! WE HAVE ACTUALLY PAID TO BE RIPPED OF!

Through a hellish seige of phone calls we discovered that after several attempts to "get", "have" [redacted]'s last name of [redacted] at NORTHWEST DEALERS SERVICE @ [redacted]! And could NOT even get a straight answer on the name of the company in which [redacted] works!!!

[redacted] insisted on 11/10/2014 that a check issued to Wells Fargo Dealership would NOT be ready until 2:00 p.m. on 11/11/2014 for reimbursement, this check could NOT be processed until 1:00 p.m.

Amazingly enough!!! After choosing to keep the GAP INSURANCE AFTER DISCOVERING that we PAID to rip off ourselves by overpaying by thousands and thousands of dollars...we may NEED this GAP insurance as we are approximately close to $7,000 OVER the VALUE of the Ford Expedition purchased over a year ago WITH NO SHORT, NO LATE PAYMENTS AND EXTRA MONEY PAID TO THE PRINCIPAL!!!

After yet ANOTHER phone call to [redacted] in the attempt to recieve a refund for this GAP insurance that was NOT going to be ready until 2:00 p.m., we called [redacted] back to reverse this action and miracleously enough [redacted] said that he faxed to Wells Fargo the refund on the morning of 11/11/2014! So which is it [redacted], is the check NOT going to be ready until 2:00 p.m or did you already fax this to Wells Fargo? [redacted] said he would call Wells Fargo to reverse this GAP insurance!

Wells Fargo was called 2 x's on 11/11/2014, the last phone call made at 1:03 p.m. [redacted] at Wells Fargo Dealership was spoke too. [redacted] was the first at Wells Fargo Dealership spoke with @ approximately 11:15 a.m.

[redacted] at Wells Fargo said they could not stop the reversal on the GAP.

We then proceeded to contact Finantial Gap Administrator, [redacted] @ [redacted]. [redacted] was the employee that [redacted] spoke with @ 1:45 p.m. on 11/11/2014. [redacted] said the reversal was stopped.

We have saved ALL phone calls, numbers and times, incoming and outgoing.

We also have records for Sacred Heart Hospital, including recent photos of both the Blazer and Suburban.

There are 4 different companys within the contract concerning the GAP insurance!!!

Now the final cost of the Ford Expedition!!!

The cost of the Ford Expedition...

$13,459.46 From Auto Credit

- 4,091,00 Trade in Kelly Blue Book Value on a 2003 Chevy Blazer in Very Good Condition.

- 1,684.00 Trade in Kelly Blue Book Value on a 1996 Chevy Suburban in Fair Condition.

These trade in values are as of 11/11/2014. The trade in's would be valued higher than these figures a year ago.

The loan amount SHOULD BE in the neighborhood of $8,379.00 INCLUDING THE $695.00 GAP INSURANCE!

A $7,000.00 TRADE IN VALUE shows on the contract YET!!!, the COST of the FORD does NOT reflect the TRADE IN VALUES of the BLAZER AND THE SUBURBAN!!!

It is EXACTLY AS IF NO TRADE INS OR NO MONEY DOWN HAD OCCURED! We paid top dollar, sticker price!!!

Even with a lien rolled into this "deal" of $5,444.71 the numbers DO NOT ADD UP!!! After speaking with Reliable Credit, the company in which the loan was through at the time, the actual balance owed was NOT $5,444.71 rather, $5,151.09, paid in full on September 20, 2013!

How has the cost, the pen pushed around to justify the final bottom line AND why is a contract for gap insurance NOT documented with the company contracted with AFTER a signature had taken place for the "original" contract from the owner or manager at Auto Credit that the GAP insurance company has NO knowledge of our vehicle!!!

Over a years worth of payments have been made valueing a total of $4,030.00 has been paid to Wells Fargo Dealership.

A balance of $10,880.67 is still owed!

The numbers DO NOT add up.

We are STILL $3193.67 UPSIDE DOWN in the Ford Expedition AFTER over a years worth of payments!Desired Settlement: To resolve this dispute our family is adamantly requesting a $6,470.00. This is the difference in the trade in values that SHOULD HAVE BEEN accounted for properly from the begining AND the GAP insurance that should have NEVER have been purchased in the first place if the figures had been correct from the start.

WE AT AUTO CREDIT FEEL WE WERE VERY FAIR WITH THE CUSTOMER WE SHOWED $7000.00 FOR HER TWO TRADES WITH A LIEN PAYOFF OF 5444.71 WHICH LEFT HER WITH A EQUITY OF $1555.29 TO USE FOR HER DOWN PAYMENT. THE PAY OFF COMES OUT OF WHAT YOU ARE SHOWN FOR THE TRADES. TAX WAS $578.50 LIC WAS $91.25 ADN A DEALER DOCUMENTRY SERVICE FEE OF $150.00 AND THAT COMES TO 819.75 AND A GAP WAIVER AT THE COST OF $695.00 WHICH TOTALS $1514.75 SO THE EQUITY IN THE TRADE COVERS THOSE AMOUNTS.

IF THE CLIENT WOULD LIKE TO COME DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP WE WOULD MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP HER UNDERSTAND THE CONTRACT THAT SHE HAS AND HOW THE NUMBERS STACK UP.HOPE THIS HELPS.

THANK YOU

Review: Hi my name is [redacted] and I recently just bought a vehicle from auto credit. The salesman talked me into a Toyota celica. When I took it on a test drive the engine made a squealing noise and the check engine light popped on, when I brought it back I told the salesman about the issues, he said they have not had a chance to fix the issues and told me they were going to get fixed. I decided to buy the car because I needed a better gas mileage car and he told me that all the problems would be fixed. He wrote a service repair sheet that was written in the contract and had to be signed by a manager, which it was so I went ahead and drove it home. I made an appointment to have them fix it 5 days later. The day I drove it home I took it to a ASC certified mechanic to make sure those were the problems and he replicated the issues. When I brought it in I looked over the repair contract again, the issues that had to be fixed were... Power steering pump, O2 sensor ( check engine light), hood rod, and headlight ( didn't work) I went ahead and signed the repair sheet again after looking at it. I dropped the car off at 9am, they called me around 3pm and said everything was taken care of and I could come get it. I went down there my car was boxed in between two cars with very little space, I walked in and one of the salesman said I was ok to go. When I got a closer look THERE WAS A HUGE SCRATCH ON MY BUMPER! I asked to talk the the manager ASAP he said there is no way to prove it was them and they couldn't help me! On top of that my headlight was still out and power steering pump was still squealing! The only thing they fixed were the hood rod and check engine light. Furious I asked the manager why they didn't fix the problems and he said they did their job and to get off his lot! Before he walked away from me I asked them about the headlight and to see a copy of the work order, he said I cannot see a copy of the work order and in the work order they said they " would look at the headlight"Desired Settlement: That's not what I signed! Frustrated I drove away with the car. I took it back to the mechanic and he told me they DID NOT touch the power steering pump and when he looked at the headlight they looked at it and left all the wires hanging everywhere. My girlfriend called them the same night about the scratch. I do have pictures of the car before I took it in. They called me the same night and said to bring it down and they would fix the scratch. They didn't. I want my scratch and pump fixed

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

They DID not replace my power steering pump. In my complaint when I picked up my car there was a HUGE scratch on the side of the vehicle! The manager treated me like garbage. This issue was not resolved. When I asked for a copy of the work order they refused to give it to me or let me see it again. They scratched my car, didn't do the work they said they would do and lied to me so I would buy the car. This is horrible customer service and they need to fix the problems including the scratch on my car. There is a written work order signed by the manager when I bought the car. They didn't not fix my problem and they damaged my car. When I picked up the car they refused to show me the work order and old part. PLEASE! I need help this is NOT RIGHT!

Review: I went into this car lot to purchase a car. I had $2000 to put down. They ran my credit and said I qualified for a car up to $10000. So they put me into a car that was older and told me that I could trade up in 6 months and this was a good way for me to build credit. I left with the Hyundai. Not 2 weeks later I started having all kinds of problems with the car. I called Auto credit they said the car is sold "as is" which was fine but they also said the car had no problems at all and was a good safe car for me and my daughter. (I was 8 months pregnant at the time.) SO I took the car back home and drove it then the transmission started slipping and grinding. I figured I had the car 3 weeks it wasn't time to make my first payment yet so if I took it back I could get something else and be ok. I was wrong they wanted more money and the car they wanted to put me in was a mess inside and out not to mention the horrible smell inside. So I told them I was returning the car to them I wanted my money back. they said I could return the car but I would get no money back. and Phoenix financial would sell the car for what was left owed on it and I would have to pay the balance. I didn't understand this but I took the $1000 I had in my pocket and went somewhere else and put that down on a car. I would like to have my $2000 back. I mean that is ridiculous. I could have rented a car for a month for less than this.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund that is fair. I would also like for them to remove what Phoenix Financial says I now owe. And they have put this on my credit as an Involuntary Repossession. How is this when I returned the car before the first payment was even due.

Response:

Customer came into our lot on foothills and gave the vehicle back. It was contraced threw Phoenix Fin. She purchased said vehicle in January of 2013. Looking at our records she put down $900.00. not $2000.00. and it ended up a Repo. Customer dropped off vehicle and never gave us chance to even see what was wrong. She went and purchased from another company that same weekend. We did talk to her about getting a different vehicle on the next Monday by Phone and she had already purchased the other car. As far as were concerned this matter is closed. Thanks [redacted] GM Auto Credit.

Review: I purchased a Dodge Durango from auto credit at the end of March. The original salesperson I worked with was very kind, and assured me that if there are issues concerning the vehicle after purchase that they would fix it. He stated " We are not trying to sell junk, so we will make it right." I was very adament about getting a vehicle that had a working AC because I live in an area that is very hot and I have 3 small children, also safety of the vehicle was a must as well. They tried very hard to push me into payments but I explained the need for a reliable car that I can buy outright because I am a full time student and single parent. The car I wanted was out of my range, so I decided on the Durango. The AC worked when I left Spokane to my home town in Asotin Washington. The next day that stopped working. In the days following, I noticed a transmission fluid leak, I took my car to have an oil change in which the oil and trans fluid were both low and leaking. 2 weeks later, I was out of transmission fluid again. shortly following that the Durango has had incidences where it will not shift into reverse. Then the power steering went to the bottom of fluid causing a horrific sound in my car, I added more fluid to that which has only been a temporary fix. When you turn the wheel, a grinding noise is made constantly under the vehicle. After noticing these defects to the vehicle I started investigating it further, Come to find part of the steering wheel was broken, the front door was replaced as well as horrible work on the bumper, a fog light completely missing, a broken rack on the top and the kicker a CUT OUT seat belt in the third row. These details lead me to believe this car has been involved in an accident. We called the dealership initially in april, then several calls in May to set up a time to have these issues resolved. Although I did not purchase the warranty, I was told above they would take care of it accordingly. When my girlfriend called to secure an appointment, she asked in every call to assure us they would indeed take care of it. They did not. On Tuesday we arrived at Auto Credit where the "closer" not the actual guy who was my salesperson who told me these great things of fixing the errors, but the ill mannered man who signed my paperwork. He told us that he had said he would "look at the vehicle not fix it" over the phone, which was not the case, he said he would fix it. He also felt it necessary to state to us that they put a lot of money into my trade in which was irrelevant to the purpose of our visit, not to mention an exaggeration because I had the estimate from my mechanic before trading. Then sent us on our way. I drove 2 hours, paid for expensive gas, took time from school and my job for a meeting with an unprofessional salesman who had no intention on actually making it right. When asked about the car being in an accident he handed me something similar to a car fax that did not say so, however the condition appears as though an accident happened but was never reported. He brushed this off and did not care at the concern that a seatbelt was gone from my vehicle.Desired Settlement: I came to your establishment to find a vehicle that was big enough for my family, reliable, but different than the minivan I currently was driving. I was very direct on what I was looking for, what it needed and what it offered. I was told I was not purchasing junk and that your policy was to sell a good honest vehicle or it would be made right. This was a flat out Lie. I could have chosen to pay the repair on my minivan and saved money if I had known you were selling my family a jalopy. Although the first gentleman was nice, the second one treated me as though I was a stupid girl he could pull one over on. I would like my vehicle repaired, I was sold a car in less than acceptable shape which was not present in the test drive. this vehicle was misrepresented, and I expect that the word from my original salesman be honored. I purchased the vehicle in good faith that the salesperson was not lying to make a sale. Otherwise I want my minivan back and a refund for false promises, and selling a jalopy below standards. Who would choose to sell crap and expect to not have a tarnished reputation? I want this made right like I was promised. I would also like to never have to work with him again as he is rude and codescending. Thank You.

General Manager of Auto Sales

Review: In September of 2012 my son who at the time was 16 purchased a 1982 [redacted] pickup from Auto Credit in Airway Heights; he put $800.00 down on his $2,000.00 purchase and he made payments to [redacted]; of course my wife and I signed all of the legal paperwork. I thouroughly inspected the vehicle and test drove it myself. In June the truck was paid in full and we have received the title. The back end of the truck appeared to be off center, I crawled under the truck and discovered the frame had been spray painted black; the frame is cracked and rusted thru in spots. For the last year I have had my teenage son, daughter and many other kids in and out of that vehicle, it's an absolute mircle that the truck did not literally break in half driving down the road. I contacted Auto Credit and they said, "too bad, not there problem, your've had the truck for to long for us to do anything." They admitted to "refurbishing" the truck, this is rust they could not have possibly happend in Spokane in 9 months. The spray paint started chipping away and the bed of the truck had/has shifted, otherwise we still wouldn't know and still would have our kids in it driving to and from school. It is beyond my comprehesion how anyone who works for this company can sleep at night. To protect our kids and anyone elses, the truck is parked! If the insurance companies knew what type of vehicles Auto Credit was selling and [redacted] was financing, you would not be able to get insurance, this is a HUGE safety issue!Desired Settlement: This truck should be "totaled" or fixed by a licensed and bonded, reputable body shop. We want a full refund or the frame to be fixed by a body shop of our choosing paid for by Auto Credit.

Over a year later the customer wants us to fix this vehicle. We did some work on the engine not the body or frame. As the customer stated he looked over the vehicle before he purchased it. Review: When purchasing our vehicle from AIRWAY HEIGHTS AUTO CREDIT they had told us we have 60 days to have anything major repaired. Within 14 days of purchasing our vehicle from AUTO CREDIT we began having issues. Our brakes had completely seized up. Our van, sputtering, smoking, overheating. Un-drivable. We had called and scheduled an an appointment to meet at AUTO CREDIT for Monday, July 22 of 2013, I spoke to [redacted] and he had told me "we will do our best to make you happy". When calling on Thursday, July 18 of 2013 to confirm that they would be able to make the repairs on the 22nd, the salesman ([redacted]) was extremely rude and interruptive, but did say: "If [redacted] said we were going to make you happy, then it's going to happen. Be here." On July 22nd after borrowing a truck and trailer, we had towed the van to Airway Heights Auto Credit. We were there at 9:10 am. Unloaded van and told "it will be looked at within the hour" and that "if the repairs are over a certain amount or if it is unfixable we will tear up your contract and you can find a new car FROM OUR LOT. Either way, you are going home with a running vehicle"([redacted]) 1 hour 30 minutes later the van had still hadn't been looked at. They said 'soon'. 6 hours and a lot of pestering, they finally 'looked' at it. But now our salesman ([redacted]) was at another lot signing papers so we had to 'wait another hour'. 2 hours later ([redacted]) had called and said that they cannot tear up our contract and will have to leave the van and will be unable to send us home with a running car today. We just have to wait until [redacted] is back to come to a conclusion". We returned to their office and I had asked about a loaner car, seeing we have no vehicle to transport our two children under two, now. They replied "we don't do that". I also asked about what he had earlier said about the contract and he([redacted]) denied ever saying anything of this sort. He also said we 'just have to wait until we hear from [redacted]. He will call you first thing in the morning." Knowing they open at 8am and still receiving no call I called their office around 9:30 "[redacted] and his father are discussing it now, he will call you within the hour". On my next break around 12:30 still no call, so I had called again. Now he was at lunch. My next break, 3:30 I called again. This time [redacted] telling me that they will only repair if we pay 50%. Him saying the 50% will cost us 1000.00. I asked about the 60 day guarantee and said I thought this was pretty major. [redacted] said that he doesn't believe that is a true statement and they can fix it for 1000.00 or we can come get it. We feel so very cheated. We have been lied to numerous times and after spending much time and money to get our vehicle in working order for my family, it still is not. I feel they should be held responsible for their insincere, dishonest actions. As a young couple we are trying to build credit to buy a home. Trying to start with this van of which we are paying 6,995.00.. 230.00 a month for a broken car.Desired Settlement: Our car loan dropped or vehicle repaired at no cost to us.

Review: On August, 8th I bought my daughter her first car. She just turned 17 and as motivation for her to get her driver’s license I told her I would buy her a car. I had saved $2,000.00 for the purchase. Since I am a single mother with 3 children – two of which are diagnosed with Autism – the putting aside of that much money took quite a bit of time. Near our home is a “used car” dealership named Auto Credit Sales. Their website lists them with a Revdex.com rating of “A” and they state that all their vehicles are given a complete inspection by one of their “highly trained” technicians. So we found a Toyota Corolla there and purchased it for $2,001.00. We brought it home and parked it until mid-September when my daughter passed her permit test. We began driving it on short outings as she learned how to navigate the roads in our area. We had put on just over 300 miles when the engine stalled and stopped running. I had the vehicle towed home and contacted the dealership, who gave me the name of a mechanic that they use. He came out to the house and concluded that the motor had basically “blown up”. He determined that bearings and at least one rod had failed. I had a friend also look at it and he agreed with the mechanic. He also found that the oil pressure sending unit had been disconnected and that the ant-lock braking system had been disabled! I called the Dealer with this information, and the runaround began. First, the salesman didn’t think there was anything they could do since I signed the “As is” warranty. When I told him that we had only put on 300 miles, he said he would have the Manager call me. Two days later he finally called back. In the meantime I began to look deeper into the dealership. The Revdex.com listed them as having on average 1 to 2 complaints a month. Most of these complaints were for advertising and/or poor products. When the manager, [redacted] finally called back, he told me that he would sell me a replacement motor at their cost. That was it! So the next day I had a friend accompany me down to the dealer’s lot and we confronted him with facts: Catastrophic engine failure, disconnected oil sending unit, and the disabled ant-lock braking system. His response was unreal. He said that he was just the “acting” manager (whatever that meant.?.?.) and he would contact the General Manager. But he didn’t think there was anything else they could do. As far as the brakes were concerned he had no idea who would have disabled them. He looked at my friend and said that “we could even have done that”. Then he made an amazing statement. He said that when they get a vehicle in, they check the fluids, drive it around the block and put it on the lot. So much for their Safety Check by highly trained technicians. Now I just wanted my money back and I told him so. He basically said “no”, but he would ask Neil the general manager. When [redacted] called back he said the only thing they would do was to get me an engine at their price. Nothing else. The brakes were my problem. So now I would need to spend hundreds more just to get the car running safely and who knows what else may be wrong with it. I just want the dealer to do the right thing. If they are not willing to spend the money to make the car safe, then just take it back and give me my money back.Desired Settlement: I wish to get my money back, and they can have the car back.

Response:

This car was purchased and signed for with an "as is statement" on August 8,2015- customer on title never called the lot it was always her mother. Auto Credit did offer to get a motor at their cost if mother was willing to pay for that. Customer did not make a complaint about vehicle for 43 days after purchase and we have no idea who has tampered, worked on or driven the vehicle since the purchase date, This dealership believes are not responsible for any further recourse on said vehicle.

Review: On Saturday, March 29, 2014 my husband and I purchased a 2003 GMC Yukon Denali from Auto Credit on Sprague. We test drove the vehicle and really liked it but noticed that the speedometer was not working along with the rest of the dash electrical gages. We brought it up to the attention to the sales person and he said they would fix it no problem. We also asked about the "Service Ride Control" message that was being displayed on the dash as well. He assured us that it was most likely just a glitch with the dash needing to be fixed but that they would fix it if the problem was actually with the ride control. We went ahead and purchased the vehicle and drove it home that night. Included in our loan and sale agreement it was stated that Auto Credit would fix the speedometer and dash. We have been in constant contact with [redacted], our sales person, about the issues and he has given us numerous days and times to have it fixed BUT then the person never shows up to fix it. In the meantime, my husband is stuck waiting for hours at the dealership and still nothing is done. WE ARE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WITHOUT A WORKING SPEEDOMETER!!!!! The problems are affecting my gas millage to an estimated 5-6 MPG. Just today, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 my husband was informed that the service ride control was an issue with the air suspension for the rear of the vehicle and that they would not fix it. We have been told by numerous Auto Credit employees that they would fix it not to mention they said that they would fix anything with the dash and the ride control once they found out that it was a real issue and not just a glitch. I cannot afford to go out and fix this and am not going to drive around with a vehicle that is not even safe to be on the road! The potential for accidents, tickets, and other issues is ridiculous and Auto Credit has not done as they have said.

On a side note, the lady who wrote up the contract and reviewed the vehicle with us made it clear that the dealership provides a 3 MONTH, 3,000 MILE WARRANTY on all of their vehicles which included the engine, transmission, suspension...etc.

They have not done and are not doing as they have said that they would do and in the meantime I am stuck with a vehicle that should not even have been sold to us without those problems being fixed first!

Purchased for $8,995.00 plus interest, tax, title, licensing.

Down Payment $3,750 ($1000.00 in cash and $2,750 by debit card)Desired Settlement: I would like Auto Credit to either fix the problems (Dash issues AND "Service Ride Control") to a safe and reliable state OR refund us our money, dismiss the loan, and allow us to return the vehicle to them!

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

According to the response by the General Manager of Auto Credit, he claims that he would contact myself or my husband yesterday, Monday April 7, 2014. We received no such call. The only communication that we have had from Auto Credit was yesterday, a young lady called to let me know that our license plate had arrived and that she would mail it to us. We are still having issues with our Speedometer after they claimed that they had "fixed" it. At least once per day the speedometer, I assume, gets stuck and shows an incorrect mph. There has been no effort shown by Auto Credit to communicate with us and to discuss actually fixing the noted problems THE RIGHT WAY!

Review: When I signed for the Saturn L200 on February 2013, from [redacted] at Auto Credit in Post Falls, I purchased it at 102,300 miles. After signing the papers, I went to drive the car off the lot, and the dash lights and headlights started flashing. [redacted] advised that he would have the shop fix that for me at no cost to me, and while in the shop replacing my computer (the cause of the flashing), they also replaced my brakes. I noticed when I got my car back though, that the mileage went up to 300,000+ miles. I had brought this to the mechanics attention, and he said he had no idea why it would do that, and it was probably the computer just misreading. I had continued to have problems with the car and kept telling them that I would like to trade it in for something else. They wouldn't let me because I didn't have another down payment for another car, and the offered to fix the car and let me make payments. They were unable to figure out what was going on with it. I had taken my car to [redacted] four times since October of 2013 and discussed with [redacted], at Auto Credit in Post Falls, that I would like to trade this in with no down payment because I'm paying to fix the issue with the car that they sold me and the mileage kept changing and I just didn't want the car anymore. The first time I took the car to [redacted], the mileage changed to 140,000. Then the second time it had to go in for the same exact issue, the mileage changed to 150,000. Then the third time it went back down to 140,000. There's no way I put 40,000 miles on my car from the end of February to October, since I bought it at 102,300 miles. To this day, [redacted], has not figured out the issue with my car, and are stumped. I have spent over $600 to fix the issue that seems to keep persisting. [redacted] had been helping me find a new car with the approval of [redacted], the manager. For the last month and a half, I have made phone calls left and right, to get the same exact thing, either rushed off the phone with a failed promise of a call back, or being told that [redacted] would be back from vacation in 1-2 weeks, which is what I was told on Jan. 2nd and Today, Jan. 17. The same exact time frame that he would be back.Desired Settlement: My desired settlement is just to have them take the car back and give me another one, as promised. They sold me a car not knowing how many miles was truly on it, and now seem to be taking back what they stated and are refusing to help me, resorting to filing a complaint.

Review: I have previously purchased one car from Auto Credit; I used it as a trade in for one of the two cars I am currently financing through Phoenix Financial. I have a 2000 Chevy blazer and up until Friday I also had a 94 VW Jetta. The blazer is almost paid off and I still owe over $1800 on the Jetta. A Jetta in excellent condition is only worth $2500 according to Kelly blue book so I already paid more for the car than I should have because this car was in no way close to excellent condition. However I am aware that this is my own fault I should have researched the kbb price prior to purchasing this car. I purchased the Jetta around the beginning of February 2013. It drove nice on the test drive and on the way home. That night when coming home from school the lights in the dash werent working. This went on for a few days. I had to go finish signing some paperwork at the dealership in Airway Heights, WA and so I brought this to their attention. The man who helped me finance the vehicle told me that it was probably just a fuse but that if I wanted he could make a time for their mechanic to look at it. Turns out it was faulty wiring and several things were unplugged under the hood. There were several small things wrong with the car. The sunroof didnt work properly, the plastic casing around the steering wheel wasnt screwed in, and a few more minor quirks. When I bought the car the dealer said that the tires were brand new. Within a month of me having this car both front tires were completely bald. I maybe drive 25 miles a day. When I bought the new tires they said that I had the wrong size to begin with and so they got me two new tires to match the back ones. This was the first instance that made me question the quality of the mechanics at Auto Credit. The next thing was that the exhaust mount was barely bolted on. Then there was the disaster. On Tuesday May 7th, 2013 I was driving on the freeway and the coolant light turned on as well as the oil light. I pulled off and pullIf anything I would hope that you could make it so I do not have to pay on this car that I no longer have. I do not want a refund on it I just dont want to pay anything more on this and for this to affect my credit poorly.Desired Settlement: I would like to not have to make any more payments on this car that I no longer have. I have only had the car since february of this year and it had serious problems that the dealers mechanics would have had to have known about if they did not create the problem in the first place.

Dear [redacted];

Review: Purchased a 2001 Jetta on 6/7/14 for $3000.00 cash. On 6/7/14 a coolant bypass broke about an hour after sale was complete, antifreeze went everywhere. We called for repair 6/8/14 but they didn't have a mechanic on Sunday, so we repaired it then drove car and the coolant bypass on the other side broke, again we repaired it. Car was still overheating so call the Auto Credit Sales 6/9/14 and they towed it in for repair. Car was back that evening. Drove car for just over a week and the check engine light came on, had [redacted] test there was no code. So drove car a couple of more days and the check engine light and the EPC light came on, went to Auto Credit Sales. They wanted us to get a printout of the code from [redacted], then bring it back. So we got the printout and the car wouldn't start (battery was dead) after we got it started we took the vehicle back to Auto Credit Sales on Tuesday 6/24/14 the manager refused to even look at the printout said they would not fix the vehicle. One of the salesmen said to try [redacted] and that he thought it would be a simple fix. Since the battery was having difficulty we replaced it $190.00. Now I have an appointment to take the car to [redacted], so they can look at it on Wednesday 7/9/14. The car has not been running for the last week. This is my first car I am a single Mom (19 years old) and I saved money to purchase a vehicle for my daughter (2 years old) and I, all I wanted was something reliable for us. I am really bummed out that they would sell me a car that didn't even run one day.Desired Settlement: A reliable car and if repair is made they should cover the cost.

[redacted],

Please see attached quote from [redacted] Automotive Repair, we picked the car up Friday afternoon after paying $215.23. They had disconnected the amp in the trunk which was drawing the battery down and they reconnected a boost hose to make the turbo run better. There is an attached quote for another $830. My daughter drove the car this weekend and one of the previously repaired antifreeze bypasses broke after work I am going to get the vehicle towed.

Thanks,

[redacted] purchased a 2001 Jetta from Auto Credit on [redacted]. I spoke with the manager of the lot and found out that we were asking $3995.00 for the Jetta. We did try to show [redacted] different vehicles. She only wanted the Jetta. We dropped to sale price down to $3000.00 tax and Lic. was included in the price. $3000.00 was the out the door price. We sold the Jetta at a reduced price AS/IS . Which she signed all of the paperwork that showed that it was being sold AS/IS . Federal buyers guide clearly shows a list of things that can go wrong on a vehicle. Again [redacted] only wanted the Jetta.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

When I purchased this car it was sold to me as a first time buyer (I am 19 years old). I had no experience purchasing vehicles and I trusted that I would get a car that didn't need major work in the first 30 days. As you can see from the attached quote that cost me $215 to get that the car needs an additional $830 work. There is a major oil leak and the breather kit needs replaced. The check engine light came on 3 days after the purchase of this vehicle and is still on. I thought an established car dealer would be more honest and truthful, apparently they gave me a huge discount to take over their headache. I would like the repairs done to my car, since I couldn't have possibly known that these things were wrong.

[redacted] had $3000.00 to spend on a vehicle. We showed her other vehicles, again this was the only vehicle she would look at. The asking price was $3995.00. [redacted] paid $3000.00 OUT THE DOOR TAX AND LIC. INCLUDED. This was around $1400.00 we came off the vehicle price to help make it work for her. Also again we did as a good will look at her vehicle after the purchase at no charge to her. I would be willing to look at putting her in a different vehicle of my choice but from what Ive been told [redacted] wants to keep the Jetta or I would be willing to give $400.00 to help fix the Jetta. Vehicle was purchased from North foothills lot. Customer did bring in the vehicle to have us look at the vehicle. We took it to Wendle Ford to be fixed. We are calling customer about concerns and possibly trading her into a different one. Thanks Barry Auto Credit.

Review: I purchased two vehicles from Auto Credit this year. A 2005 Ford Freestyle in June and a 2003 Chevy Silverado in August. The Ford's transmission needs replaced after only 4 months of owning the vehicle and will cost $6,500 to have the repairs done. This is equal to the purchase price of the Ford. Auto Credit refused to pay half of this bill and never disclosed that this vehicle has a class action lawsuit in regards to the CVT transmission, or that this is a consistent problem with this vehicle. We are not paying to have this vehicle fixed and are returning it to this dealer, as they will not work with us in resolving this issue to our satisfaction. They offered, after a constant barrage of calls by me, to pay for the labor only to install the transmission, which is only $995. This is unacceptable.

Secondly, unbeknownst to me, the 2003 Chevy Silverado was sold to me with a hole in the transfer case housing, causing all of the transfer case fluid to drain out. This was before I even made my first payment on this vehicle. This could have caused total transmission and transfer case failure. Again, they refused to help pay for this repair, and I was forced to go to [redacted], for a total cost of $1200 to have this transfer case issue fixed properly. In addition, the Chevy had to have all four tires rebalanced plus a four wheel alignment, before the vehicle was safe to drive, costing me an additional $150.Desired Settlement: I wish Auto Credit to reimburse me the $1200 I paid to have the 2003 Chevy Silverado's transfer case fixed. Primarily, I wish to return the 2005 Ford Freestyle to said dealership with no repossession occurring on my credit report or any extra bills associated with the Ford Freestyle. I do not want any letters or bills, phone calls or mail in regards to the Ford Freestyle. I only wish to return this vehicle to Auto Credit and not be liable for the remaining balance of the loan. I wish the loan to be terminated with Numerica Credit Union.

Review: On Sunday 7/27/2014, My daughter [redacted] & I went to Auto Credit on [redacted] in Spokane WA to look for a car for her. I explained to the Salesman that she has $500 to put down & was looking in the $4000 range. I explained that since she just turned 18 that I may need to Co-Sign with her & that I didn't want my credit ran unless we could be assured that we would be able to purchase a car as I did not want excessive credit applications to show on my credit score. He went to talk to finance & came back & said "we can do this but we will need a $1000 down." I agreed to help her reach that amount & he said "She could look at cars in the $5000 range." She had seen a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT & was interested in that, so my Boyfriend test drove it for us & it ran fine on test drive. When they got back, my boyfriend & I were trying to discuss the car & the salesman ignored our thoughts on it & asked [redacted] directly "What did you think about it?" [redacted] said "Yeah I like it." & without asking me what I thought about it, told her "lets go write it up." I left to go to the bank, when I returned [redacted] told me her payments were going to be $311 per month, I told him she is not going to be able to afford those payments since she works part time & that her insurance would go up. He went in & back out and said we can drop it down to $275 per month, we agreed & went to sign papers. They rushed us through this entire process so fast that we could not comprehend all that was happening. When we were signing documents, we were told where to sign & not once was it explained to us what exactly we were signing. the only time he spoke was to say "did the salesman tell you that you have a 2 year warranty?" later while reading the documents I discovered that I had been charged for this warranty along with a GAP contract, both optional, for an amount of $2294 without my knowledge or consent. As far as I know they don't even have a bank yet for financing. Drove the car off lot and a few miles check engine light is on.Desired Settlement: Check engine light came on miles after driving off lot 7/28/14. Called salesman on 7/29/14 to see what I'm supposed to do about light. Told me to call dealership and acted like I Inconvenienced him and shouldn't call him on his cell phone, So called to talk to manager and she was just as rude with me. I would like to return car and get down payment back, Don't want to deal with these kind of people. Worst experience ever for me & very bad 1st experience for my daughter.

Regards,

Review: Yesterday, February 24th, I purchased a 2008 Dodge Avenger from Auto Credit Sales. I purchased the vehicle after doing a thorough inspection of the interior and the exterior of the car, including the engine bay. I test drove the vehicle for a minimum of 20 minutes with maximum speeds of 50 miles per hour. After I went back to the dealership, I was decently satisfied and decided to purchase the car. On my way home from the dealership, I had to get onto the freeway where the speed limit is 70 miles per hour. After about 61-63 miles per hour, in fourth gear, at around 2000 RPM's, the vehicle started to surge and almost felt as if it was misfiring, however the computer did not push out a code. I called back to speak to the manager and requested my money and my trade-in back. They said that all they could do was fix the issue if there is one. I do not want the car even if the issue is fixed because if not even 5 miles down the road the car begins having issues, what else is wrong with the vehicle that just hasn't presented itself yet? I have had the car for less than 24 hours and have noticed quite a few things since I purchased the vehicle. 1. The Surging/Misfiring. 2. Low Tire Pressure (Easy fix but how do you sell a car with low tire pressure and claim you serviced it?) 3. The battery was completely dead when I asked for a test drive, again, easy fix unless the battery is bad, which it doesn't seem to be. But again, how can you claim to have serviced the car if the battery is completely dead. 4. Extensive mold on the passenger seat belt. 5. The engine has started making an almost grinding noise -- however it is intermittent. It is not always there. 6. There is stains I did not notice on the very back of the back row of seats right under the back windshield. This isn't quite a big deal, but they did a very poor job of detailing the care as well.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is definitely a full refund and my vehicle back. I paid $5,700 and a 2005 Dodge Neon with only 134,000 miles on it for this car that doesn't even run properly. I don't want to waste my time getting it fixed because it's quite obvious this vehicle was not well taken care of, so problems will just keep arising. I want my money back and my trade-in vehicle.
