Response:

The customer purchased a X5, requested us to switch vehicle's rim with another X5 we had in stock. We agreed to do so but when inspected the requested X5 rims it had cracks in the rim. We explained this to the customer and showed them. We offered as a courtesy new tires and new Sport rims they agreed and took possession of the vehicle. We the next day send the rims for repair and ever since sold the vehicles. There was nothing wrong done on our end. We made no promises that were not kept. Customer came in on Sunday 05/**/2015 and just left the vehicle behind. Customer took possession of the vehicle, signed all documents. There is a no return policy, we have made many attempts to let the customer know that if she does not pick her vehicle up the financing institution will repossess her vehicle. The vehicle has been registered and is in process of being titled to her. She is the legal owner of this vehicle.?

That's a complete lie , they switched the original wheels that came with the x5 we purchased, without telling us . We didn't know they did that until we saw the truck again coincidentally because we went to finish the paper works at the top office . I then approach the sale guy which he said he forgot to tell us two of them was damaged but yet we test drive the vehicle with it. So that was jus a cover up because I over heard another customer saying he wanted those wheels on his truck , so they sold the acclaimed damage wheels to that customer for extra cash/ further more the salesman by the name of [redacted], he didn't think the wheels would make a difference..they did offered new wheels yes but those are after market which is no good. The reason for this is simply because they saw we was young so they was taking advantage of us .but those guys at auto expo are nothing but liers and deceiving would never do business with them ever are recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle there.

I have read your response. Have in mind you took delivery of this vehicle in the condition and shape it was in. With that said if the rims are your issue, We gladly are willing to work with you to satisfy your needs. Your vehicle will be picked up by the lender that has been assigned your contract. You can either work with us, or lose the vehicle. There are no returns or exchanges in the automotive industry as per NYS Law. Please advise as what your position is. You used vulgar language against us non stop! You made claims that are not true, and we are willing to go the extra mile to satisfy you. Lets see what you are willing to do?

I will never work with u guys ever again, how u going to do so if the loan wasn't approved? Secondly u said I told u guys to switch the wheels , why would I tell you guys to do so and then having a problem ?. When I asked u if this is [redacted], u said u don't know anything about it and that u only do paper works. Another thing u clearly stated that u repair the damage wheels, my question is when how ?, if the wheels was damaged like u claimed how can it be repaired an sold on Sunday.remind u it was damaged Thursday, didn't open on Saturdays to be sold on Sunday , how the fk is that possible, clearly a lie.even better, mo da salesman said that it couldn't be repaired. To show u the lies an shadiness within your business,

Review: On January ** 2015, Auto Expo asked me to submit $500 of car holding fees and said it is refundable if I don't like the car. I submitted the payment form. In the meantime, my mom was sick and I lost her on the night of February [redacted]. I Went overseas for the funeral and came back on ** February. I found a different car near me that I liked better and decided to purchase that one. I asked them to refund the $500 security deposit. Instead of answering my email, they called me saying that they held the car Long enough and that they cannot refund my money. While I confronted them with the evidence via email, with their own writing they would not answer, instead kept leaving me voice-mails saying they would ship the car over and stuff of that nature. My wife has emailed them too, but they would not put anything in writing anymore since I asked to refund my deposit. I last spoke with them on ** February 2015. Your assistance to resolved this matter will be greatly appreciated!Desired Settlement: Refund my $500 security deposit

In response to this complaint;

[redacted] has called in and spoken to us just a week ago regarding their vehicle. She asked us to see if it was possible to trade the vehicle in for something else.

She notified us that currently the vehicle is being looked at for possible repairs to the transmission. [redacted] also stated that she recently purchased a warranty from a 3rd party company which is not Mercedes Dealer authorized, and that this warranty company had also declined the claim. We advised her that the company she bought this extended warranty company from has a history of bad reviews with denying claims which they are supposed to cover. [redacted] was offered extended warranty at the time of purchase in which she declined to purchase at that time.

The car was purchased on 3/**/2013, I have attached service records which note every visit to our service dept which [redacted] brought her vehicle in under Lemon Law.

There was no mentioning of transmission, or anything similar to the problem she currently has.

We have never denied her any help, we welcome her business. She understood her vehicle needed to be repaired, yet showed no hostility and did point a finger at us being that the vehicle is already on the road for almost 8 months.

This complaint came as a shock.

Thank you

Hi ,1st of all an warranty was never offered the sales representative and the manager knew actually how the vehicle was delivered to me. In poor conditions ,the sales representative rushed me to go out there to the dealer just to fill out papers, because the sales rep by the name of daniel who I was told that he no longer works there mentioned to me that someone else was interested in the vehicle ,so the sales rep rushed this vehicle out .car was delivered to me in a rush because the business hours were closing ,I choose to leave with the vehicle on this day because my cab had left me with my toddlers in a rainy day.ever since I purchased this vehicle is been giving me problems I.already spent $5500 for transmission promblems and my vehicle only has 66849 mileage ,it hasn't been driven since August I trusted this company after so mamy trips to the dealer ship ,I had complaint various times and personality went there 3X I had reach out to charles from auto expo mechanic, also was told recently that he doesnt work for the company any more he told me that there was nothing they could do....I just want justice because I have proof that the vehicle was given to me with pre existing problem ,[redacted] and daniel knew that I want to return the vehicle that second day of purchase. They gave me the run around and recommend me to their mechanic whom I truthful trusted.what ever job that was done to the vehicle the the 3x' it was temporary .from the moment I purchased the vehicle I did purchase an warranty for protection.so when the vehicle started acting up I had to wait 2 months so that their inspector tell me same thing that I already knew pre existing transmission problems. So If you think that royal is at fault ,is not right because auto expo knew very well about the car conditions.you want to know how auto expo tried to help by checking my and my husband's credit for a bigger loan, when [redacted] notice that the bank wasnt lending ,he then cut me off ,by not trying to help me trade in the vehicle.

I was taken advantage from the beginning.

Response:

This is a very typical customer response, that once the vehicle has any sort of problem down the line they immediately resort to "Its the dealers fault, they gave me the vehicle like this".

We already showed the Repair Orders, there are only 2, and none of the complaints had to do with a transmission. What else is there to show ?

None the less, the dealership has no liability after 60 days or 3,000 miles, and here we are 8 months later and the customer is stuck in a position where they cannot pay for damages to their property in which they immediately complain to the dealership. We have not heard from this customer for over 5 or 6 months.

Recently, we did tell the customer in fact that a new loan was not obtainable as they had requested, and that the vehicle could not be traded in if it is un-drivable with so much work to be done to it. It is a car, mechanically it requires maintenance. A Mercedes Benz has above average costs for maintenance, the customer has to understand this. There is no such thing as BUYERS REMORSE 8 months after the purchase date.

Thank you

Review: I purchased a vehicle (Mercedes) from them in 2012, after taking the vehicle home I noticed it had been in an accident. I contacted the dealership and requested a different vehicle because I specifically stated I did not want a car involved in any accidents. After many exchanges they exchanged the car. I took position of a different car. I purchased an Extended Warranty for the vehicle. They failed to give the correct vehicle information to the warranty company. I was unaware of this issue until recently. On July [redacted] my AC stopped working. I called the Warranty company and they told me the warranty is for a totally different car. I have contacted the dealership multiple times, I either get sent to vm or speak to the [redacted] or [redacted] and they tell me they are going to call the company and get back to me in an hour. This happens and I get no return call. I have been contacting the warranty company to see if any updates daily. I have reached out to [redacted] via text message and have spoke to him and the [redacted] on the phone and expressed how I am currently in FL in extremely hot temperatures and take medication that I'm not supposed to be exposed to hot temperatures for extended periods of time.

I brought my car the the local Infinit dealership to get service and have then evaluate the AC. It will cost $1200 to fix and would be covered under the warranty if this issue was resolved. I asked [redacted] via text message if the dealership with cover this repair for me since they caused this issue and he told me, no they will not. It has been over 2 weeks now and I was informed this morning by the warranty company that they will most likely have to cancel the warranty and refund the money. This is totally unacceptable so now my car will not have an extended warranty and I am still without air conditioning and every time I have to travel in the car I get ill from the high temperatures.

I called Auto Expo this morning and they told me they were on the phone with the warranty company and would call me back. They said if the warranty is canceled I will receive a refund and that could take a week. This is unacceptable. I bought a warranty and should have one this was the fault of Auto Expo not me.Desired Settlement: I want Auto Expo to pay for my air conditioning to get fixed IMMEDIATELY and I want my extended warranty to be corrected. If the warranty must be refunded, I want them to still cover the cost of my air conditioning repair as restitution for this problem

Response:

The warranty issue has been rectified as per Warrantech Warranty Corp.

Review: About the three weeks ago I purchased a car along with my boyfriend at the above named business. As part of the purchase I was trading in my own car which carried some negative equity. We transferred registration and insurance for the new vehicle under the impression that we made a trade in. We were led to believe that the dealer deemed the car to be good enough to take from us. At this time we gave the title to the dealer and left the car at the dealership. after a week went by we noticed that the car had not been paid off. at this time we contacted the dealer and the [redacted] there [redacted] stated that we had informed him that we were leaving the car there to be repossessed by the bank which held the lien on the car. No such agreement was made by us[redacted] knowingly deceived us and until this day has withheld contract information regarding the documents that we signed during the purchase of the car.Desired Settlement: I would like the intended automobile to be paid off as we were led to believe that we were trading in the vehicle as part of the purchase of the new vehicle

Business

Response:

Dear Customer, The transaction was made with out taking a trade in. All the documents signed clearly show there was no agreement to take your vehicle in trade. You were not charged any negative equity from your trade. At this time if you like us to payoff your vehicle and redo the documents to take the vehicle in trade we can gladly do so, but the difference between your vehicle's payoff and your proposed trade in vehicle's value you must pay in cash or certified funds. If you wish to move forward we will gladly assist in any which way we can.
