There is a "Lemon Law" that states if I vehicle is sold as is, but did not make customer aware of problems with the vehicle ahead of the sale, and disguising the vehicle as no mechanical faults, is against the Lemon Law.  I'm sure I'm not the first customer this has happened to with this company, and I'm sure I won't be the last if nothing is done to rectify my complaint.  They will be led to believe they can get away with deceiving customers.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We were contacted today by the salesman advising us that the car was ready for pick up.  We arranged to pick the car up after hours (as agreed on the phone)  and that the dealership would leave the key in a location where we could access it (the same location where we initially left the key when we dropped the vehicle off).  We were advised that we would need to sign a release form to pick up the car.  We drove to dealership after work this evening and the car was not left for us, nor was the key or release form left.  We contacted the salesman by cell phone, who then stated that he could not release the car until we have signed a release.  He also stated that we had made arrangements that we had not.  Not only did we waste time driving to pick up the car, but we are now having to leave work early again to try to get the car tomorrow.  In my initial complaint, my request was 1) have the car repaired, and 2) speak with the owner.  I now amend that and state, 1) fix the car and return it to us and 2) speak to the owner or a formal apology in writing to be provided to me.  His employees have treated this customer, who purchased 2 vehicles, with such disrespect that I feel I deserve a phone call from the owner.  The men in this office started out with saying, "anything for you and your mother" to contacting us on our cell phones for "personal" reason to lying to us, cussing, yelling at us and finally hanging up on us.  I expect an apology!

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who provided a response to the complaint. He stated the vehicle was sold as-is, and the business is therefore not obligated to take a return of the vehicle, but he has explained to the customer that he is willing to fix any issues for her at no charge if...

she brings the vehicle back to the dealership. He stated the customer has not been willing to bring the car to be looked at, and has declined his offers for help and instead has insisted on receiving her money back, and the dealership paying to tow the vehicle back at his expense. He stated he is willing to fix the vehicle for her if it is having issues with the check engine light, but will not be taking the vehicle back.

I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,

The business did not try to assist me the day I had my scheduled appointment when I arrived Stephon said the mechanic had some type of emergency so he had to leave for the day  and that it was a possibility that another mechanic might be coming but they weren't sure they were waiting for him to call back so that's when I asked for a loaner vehicle because at this point it had took me forever to arrive there because on the way my vehicle started losing power. Stephon then went in Christina's office she thought she was whispering and she told him to tell me they don't do loaners so I could wait or leave and someone would call me back with a new appointment and those were my only options very rude and nasty. I have made a payment in September I just brought the car in august so I HAVE NOT BEEN DRIVING FOR 3 MONTHS FREE also they didn't offer to have my vehicle towed for free they said they could give me the number of a tow company when I asked them why should I have to use my AAA to tow this vehicle since I only had it for 3 months and it had two major issues transmission was slipping and engine was bad the check engine light came on right after I brought it and then the transmission started making a whining sound I have documents from a mechanic shop that diagnosed it for me since they wouldn't look at so I could have everything in black and white. They have not tried to rectify anything with me I have written statements from a shop manager that said without the engine work that I ended up having done on 11/25/16 my vehicle could have blown up at any time. I also consulted a virgina sponsored inspection place who informed me that at the time of purchase if I had to replace all that needed to be replaced and if my transmission was slipping then there is no way according to Virginia law that my vehicle should have passed inspection.

I am rejecting this response because: you guys did no such thing. prove it. you cant. I paid over 900 in November and when I called to make the payment for dec and jan the phones were turned off and as a business did you let your customer know that. no so I go online and your website is down. looks like you guys went out of business. so I get a message and I have several witness that even attempted to call cause I thought you all blocked me. that you all have moved and phones are back on. I contacted u right back and told you I was making the payment on the second when we got off the phone everything was fine. you could of had the common curtsey if that if you didn't accept that you should of said something. so when I asked the repo people when they got the order they said yesterday so after I got off the phone with you all , you set that up. its okay you all broke so many laws selling me that car I have contacted a lawyer and you will be hearing from him. I got no paperwork on the car and you sold a car with a rejection sticker . we will see who has the last laugh since you all seem to think this situation is funny. and I don't even know who stephon is I never dealt with him, so see ya in court..........

[redacted] this person is not fullfilling with what he wrote, because he wrote in his response that he gives the opstion to return the car and cancel the contract, but went I went to his business on the 11 on this month, he treated me  bad , he kick me out of his business, and he  said he did not wanted to see me there anymore and I am his client but he did not behave as a good sell person.
they had my car for 3 weeks and during those 3 weeks they got a ticket and I got it on the mail, and they does not want to pay for it. the ticket expire on the 26 of this month. This person does not negociate good, so there is for, I want him to fix my transmission so I can feel safe on the road and I also want him to pay my ticket becuase this is affecting my record.

Salesperson was dishonest about condition of the vehicle. Needed an addition $2000 in work. Also sales person Elsie is extremely rude and nasty. I had to call repeatedly to see if the tags for the vehicle were ready, and each encounter with her ( phone or in person ) was negative. I would not recommend anyone purchase vehicles from this business. Also my vehicle is paid in full

Revdex.com spoke with [redacted] from the business. This vehicle was an "as-is" purchase but they did take the vehicle back from the customer to fix. The part they needed had to be ordered and it took a lot longer than expected. However, the vehicle is ready to be picked up and it is not costing the customer any...

money.

Review: I was sold a car that is a lemon, I purchased the [redacted] on 7/9/2016 and on 07/12/2016 the check engine light came on, I have tried on several occassions to contact the dealership but they won't answer the phone when I call. They also told me they fixed the windshield fluid container but it still does not work.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund plus the cost of having the car maryland inspected, titled in maryland and cost to remove tint from rear windows to be able to pass inspection in Maryland totaling $5,600.00. Once I receive the cashier's check for that amount they can send a tow truck to pick up the vehicle. I would so appreciate your help with this matter, as it falls under the Lemon law as they took advantage of me being a woman. Thank you.
