Review: I purchased a car from gallery auto and they lied to me about the interest rate. The bank is charging me 22.07% interest for five years.

I was told the interest would be lowered to more standard rate after six months. After contacting the bank [redacted] I released the interest rate would never change. So for a 30k dollar car

I would pay 60k after 6yrs.

This is highway robberyDesired Settlement: Return vehicle ASAP cancel loan. Incur no additional costs.

Response:

sorry for the inconvenience, all interest rates are determined by the applicant credit history. subject to primary lenders approval. however if you pay the car off early the interest rate gets prorated.thanks!

They are still charging an interest rate that will never allow me to own the car.22.07 percent is stealing from me and took advantage of a first time buyer.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a Mercedes Benz SL550 from the salesman '[redacted]' and then was blindsided by a $8000 increase at the closing table by the [redacted]'. They then proceeded to tell me that this was because of a $5000 warranty that I NEEDED to have or I wouldn't get the price we agreed on. I was then assured that I could cancel the warranty at any time and get back the remainder of the money pro-rated, and I was told I had to use at least 6 months and then I could cancel no questions asked. On a 5 year warranty the 6 months would have cost me $500 and I would be refunded the $4500. I agreed and we signed. 6 Months later I called up to cancel and they told me I couldn't and that there was absolutely no refunds. and the $5000 was gone. I called numerous times and [redacted] would get nervous and try to [redacted] me off to someone else. [redacted] told me he would fix it right away and then not call me back. Tried numerous times to get a hold of him and I was ignored, forwarded to voice mails and straight up lied to. Its clear that they basically robbed me of that $5000 and then ignored me once the deal was doneDesired Settlement: I want the $4500 I was promised I could get when I signed the deal, otherwise I would have never agreed to sign and would have went somewhere else. This is disgraceful business practice and I fear they will do this to many more people if they are not confronted.

Review: I went to the company to obtain a trade in for a Lexus that I had currently been financing. I was told that a trade in exchange was an option but this agreement was not honored by the company. Instead the car I left with the company sat on the lot for nearly a year and I was being charged for both vehicles simultaneously. Therefore, they owe me for an oil change and $11,000 for the incomplete loan exchange.Desired Settlement: I would like them to clear the collection sum of $11,000 and refund me for oil change.

Business

Response:

I opologize for your inconvenience, however after reviewing your documents on your purchase it does not indicate any vehicles being traded in. in regards to an oil change, please give a call to our office & we will try to get an exception to get you a comlimentary oil change.

The document pertaining to the agreement to use my car as a trade in was taken from my car. However, both myself and my sister [redacted], who signed for me, were verbally told that a new loan would not be used but that I could use the Lexus as a trade in. Therefore, the issue is still not resolved.

Review: On October [redacted] 2015, I purchased a 2013 Mercedes E350 from this dealership. My salesman name was Mark J[redacted], who no longer is employed there as of sometime in November, but told to me on December [redacted] that Mark no longer works there. On the day I purchased the vehicle and before the purchase of the vehicle, I ask Mark was the vehicle serviced, cleaned, and gassed up. I was told by Mark, "Yes", which has turned out to be a lie. The gas I noticed as I was beginning to get on the freeway to return home which is in Connecticut & 2 hours away from the dealership. But I was notified of the service not being done when I brought the vehicle to the Mercedes Benz dealership in Connecticut to have the vehicle inspected as all used vehicles should when purchased used. On the day of the purchase I was handed 1 set of keys. I asked Mark about the other set, and I was told by him, that he would have to retrieve them from the Auction, where they get their vehicles from, and since it was after 7pm, he would get them the next day. Since October [redacted], I have spoken to Mark ( Salesman ), Sam ( Finance Manager ), Jack, Alex, & Sean as well as the receptionist in regards to the other set of keys that that was never retrieved from the auction. It wasn't until December 10th, that I was told by Alex, that there wasn't another set. These keys cost over $200 and if I was told this the day of the purchase I could have worked out some kind of deal. I did put $15,500.00 cash down on this vehicle. So I could have worked out a deal. Sam the ( Finance Manager ) also tried to give me a lower marketed warranty ( Essential Coverage ) and I told him that I wanted the ( Exclusionary Coverage ) which was discussed during my purchase. I brought it to his attention on October [redacted] and he stated that he would change it to the ( Exclusionary Coverage ). So I'm still waiting on that change, which Sam states should happen after 60 days of my purchase, since I'm covered by the dealership for 60 days. I also have some recordings.Desired Settlement: Pay for a set of key.

Sincerely,

Review: I am requesting assistance in obtaining proof of warranty purchased ($5,000.00) and accountability for charges in the amount of $2,223.36. I purchased a Mercedes Benz C-300 on April **, 2013 from Auto Gallery Imports also known as Prestige Auto. Since I purchased my vehicle from Auto Gallery I have made numerous attempts to obtain proof of the supposed warranty purchased on this vehicle and the Dealership.

What is should be

*Price W/ Warranty:

Vehicle Price: $23,000.00

Trade In: -$1800.00

Cash Down: -$2000.00

Total $19,200.00

Taxes $1,989.64

Registration $395.00

Warranty $5000.00 (I am still pending proof of this warranty)

Amount to Finance: $26,584.64

The amount financed by the dealership is $28,808.00; after numerous attempts since I bought the car I have given up. I need a copy of the warranty that I purchased and a breakdown of the $2,223.36 extra that was financed.

In my every attempt I was given all sorts of excuses. I have heard everything from I would receive a Package after my factory warranty was going to expire, to the warranty was not registered correctly with "Guardian" the company that was providing the warranty and the registration will be resubmitted and at one at one point this supposed warranty was in a vault that only a certain staff member had keys and was out of the country.

I need assistance in obtaining proof of the $5,000.00 warranty and why I am not being told the truth. My last communication with the dealership I was informed that there is no warranty and I paid $5,000.00 towards the factory warranty, which comes with Mercedes and expires March 2014. Why would I pay $5,000.00 for less than a year of warranty from the time of my purchase?

I am frustrated because I get no real answers. My suspicions grew when the bank I financed the car loan from sent me a letter informing me that the dealership provided VIN #[redacted] was not correct and the vehicle I own actually is VIN# [redacted]. I became concerned and looked online and saw a lot of other customers reporting they too have been scammed by this dealership about the warranty.

Per ** Financial, the bank that financed my car loan, the account Opened: 4/**/2013 amount Financed: $28,808.00 and the loan term (months): 72 and based on those terms the amount in total owed is $49,622.40 which is due to the high interest rate I was provided. I was promised the re-financing would be guaranteed by the “in house bank” after making the first 6 payments on time; which I have done. When I called to request the re-financing and the proof of warranty I was informed there is no warranty and the $5000.00 is for “other fees”. I have attached all communication attempts (emails, letters, phone calls to the complaint for your reference).

In addition to my complaint it seems that this has been ongoing with many customers dating back to 04.**.2011 with the most recent complaint as of 12.**.2013. It bothers me that out of the 19 complaints submitted to the Revdex.com and a rating of "F" no one has stepped in.

I am looking to have this matter resolved so that I can re-finance my car through a private bank without the $7223.36. I consider the deal to be reviewed as the deal was made under false pretenses.

The dealership was given many attempts to try to get me the proof of warranty but there is always something. And after reading the other complaints the stories are all similar to mine. It bothers me that the Business can write a one line response asking to call them to show that they tried to resolve the complaint when in reality after numerous calls and phone records/emails for proof nothing is resolved.Desired Settlement: I need the business to either provide me with a copy of this supposed warranty I purchased for $5000.00and a breakdown of the $2223.36 or that amount(s)totaling $7,223.36 to be refunded off the loan so I am paying interest on the cheated amounts.

please be advised that I responeded to this complaint before. nevertheless, the consumer never purchased an extendted warranty, infact they signed something stating that they declined the purchase of a warranty. the paperwork does not indicate any purchase of a warranty.

however just to keep the consumer happey, have the consumer call me I would like to try to work something out to get them an extented warranty. (at little, to no expense to the consumer)

Business

Response:

I am sorry with the way you feel, however I too believe we are going back and forth. At the end of our last conversation you asked for the paperwork stating everything, I provided (i uploaded it in the Revdex.com ).then out of courtesy I even offered, (since you truly believed there was a warranty in the purchase price, although no proof of it) to get you an extented warranty at little to no cost to you. please consider my fair offer, and let us know.thank you

What I do not understand is the fact that you are acknowledging that you are not answering my question and or concern however offering to cover it up with a deal/offer that I am not requesting. I am now asking for the past year for an breakdown of the amount financed. The vehicle amount on the paper work to the bank included the warranty however if you are saying it doesn't include the warranty please provide me with the amount you think you sold the vehicle for because on paper right now you are showing you sold it way above the market value of the vehicle and I would really like you to just refund me $5,000.00 so that I can apply it towards the payments. Please advise if your company will be providing a breakdown and admitting that you sold the vehicle way more then its value or if your company will provide a breakdown of the $5000.00+ that was added to the final amount when financed and refund me for a warranty your company sold to me. At this point we both agree that the numbers are not adding up so please advise or I may now really have to seek legal assistance. Your company has many cases in court right now with similar situations of a warranty and I do not want to be a victim in fact I wanted to avoid the entire court hassle however it seems like I am not getting anywhere.

Thanks

I can't believe this place doesn't have any complaints against them and how are complaints closed when I complained years ago and nothing was done. Beware of this place and don't do business with Sam or Henry if they still work there ....they will tell you everything you want to hear and when deal is done and you have a problem they won't help you. If your considering buying from Auto Gallery just do your research first, I didn't and the r 350 I purchased fell apart and I was told by Sam I could refinance after six months to have a Lower car payment and he falsified my information to get me a loan for two cars, how did that happen...all lies. BUYER BEWARE!!
