Review: I purchased a used car from the company on 08/16/14 . When salesperson showed me the vehicle, it hesitated starting and I was told that it was "from the battery and the car sitting in the garage, but it would be fine." When I asked to purchase a used car warranty from them, they told me I could not purchase the warranty because I would not be approved for the auto loan. They told me I had a 30 day waranty and that was it. 50 days after I purchased the car it completely stopped and I was told that it was the starter that needed to be replaced and not the battery, once I contacted the auto dealer they informed me that they would not incur the costs of the started because I passed the 30 day warranty window and that I would have to pay for the repairs. When speaking to one of the salepersons on the phone, [redacted], as I was explaining the situation to him he hung up the telephone on me in my ear.Desired Settlement: I am forced to make the entire repairs and would like to be reimbursed for the towing fees as well as the diagnostic check that had to be done, and the parts and labor that I was forced to pay for a starter on a vehicle that the dealership knew was faulty, but sold me the car anyway.

Business

Response:

Please note as we previously offered to the buyer, we would be more than happy to complete the repairs. The only requirement we have is for the buyer to bring the vehicle over and we will take care of the rest.Awaiting the response to complete this in a timely manner.

Review: We purchased 2 vehicles from Auto Holding approx. 3 months ago. During our purchase we worked with a salesman named [redacted] We are filing this complaint because [redacted] misled us as to the true condition of the cars and had we known their true condition, we would not have purchased either car from Auto Holding. We live in [redacted] and Auto Holding is in NJ. This is why we relied so heavily on [redacted] "word" and his obligation to be truthful. We purchased a BMW for our 16 year old son and a Mercedes for my mother. Both cars were filthy when they arrived. The BMW had dried vomit in it. Both had personal effects from the previous owners. Only one of the power windows worked on the BMW, the car needed new tires, brakes and rotors. The brakes were below 20% which we are told is below safety standards. The Mercedes was worse. The front pass. seat is broken, the radio and nav. system are broken, the washer fluid dispenser is broken, the brakes squeak every time you back up, the keyless remote is broken, the tires are so bald they are unsafe to drive on and the power steering belt broke when we were taking it in to get a repair estimate. I sent the repair estimate (Mercedes only) to [redacted] (the manager). The estimate was $3885. We paid $5000 for the car. [redacted] told me there wasn't anything they were going to do for us. When I explained that we had been misled by their salesman and that they had an obligation to be truthful in their sales transactions, he HUNG UP on me. These cars were not truthfully represented to us at any time during our purchase transaction. We have texts from [redacted] stating that both cars were in perfect working condition, that there wasn't anything wrong with either car and that we were going to LOVE both cars. This is simply not the case. These cars were misrepresented to us, we were misled by [redacted] at Auto Holding and had we known the true condition of these cars, we would not have purchased either vehicleDesired Settlement: We would like Auto Holding to pay the $3885 listed on the estimate for repairs to the Mercedes. We believe this will put the car into the condition [redacted] led us to believe it was in when we purchased the car. If not, Auto Holding can come get the Mercedes from us in [redacted] (at their expense), reimburse us the $5000 we paid for the car, plus $1000 for tires, $500 for tax and license and $243 for the power steering belt.

Response:

To Whom It May Concern,

Our dealership sells a wide variety of

cars. From $1,000 commuter cars to $100,000 luxury and exotic

automobiles. We carefully advertise and describe each and every

vehicle to the best of our ability. In the case of the 2 vehicle

purchase by [redacted] the automobiles were sold as-is.

This was due to the age and mileage of both the 2005 BMW X3 and the

2003 Mercedes-Benz ML500. It serves no advantage to our firm to

misrepresent our product. When we were contacted about the long

distance purchase of these 2 cars, we made it clear as to the

condition of the automobiles. Typically out of state buyers request

third party inspections to determine a non-biased opinion of the

condition. In this case the buyers did not do an inspection and

agreed to purchase the cars sight unseen. To assist, we went over the

cars and [redacted] the salesperson did a thorough description of each car.

As per New Jersey Lemon Law, any vehicle that is over 7 years of age

and/or has 100,000+ miles is not covered and sold as-is, where-is.

Last but not least, [redacted] nor any other employee of this firm would

never hang up the phone on this or any other customer. We offered to

take the cars back without questions, however, to meet us at a fair

agreement, the client would have to deliver them back to us.

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because of the reasons outlined in the email below that I sent to Auto Holdings on June 11, 2014:

Hi [redacted]

I am sending you a copy of the estimate for the Mercedes. The listed repairs to the car, along with a keyless remote key, fixing the front passenger seat (if it is the switch it is $75.00 if it is the motor it is $350.00) and the cost of fixing the washer fluid dispenser (they forgot to include the cost which is estimated at $75.00) would put the car into the condition [redacted] led us to believe the car was in when we purchased it from AutoHolding. Please note that the car "broke down" as my brother was driving it into the dealership for the inspection and it is now un-driveable until the power steering belt is replaced. This cost is an additional $243.52. The "shop" did not have the part in stock and have sent to [redacted] (400 miles away) for the part. In the meantime, my mother is without a car.

[redacted], we believe AutoHolding had an obligation to conduct a USI (used car inspection) on the car before it was sold to us to make sure the car was not only safe to sell, but safe to drive. The true condition of this car was not disclosed to us by [redacted] at anytime during our purchase transaction. All of the items on the inspection report are things that should have been fixed/completed prior to the sale of the car. As a dealership, I am sure you are aware of this obligation. Additionally, my mother bought new tires which were close to $1000.00. We do not believe Autoholding is responsible for the cost of the tires, (unless you decide to come get the car) but we do believe the condition of the tires should have been disclosed to us by [redacted] at the time of purchase.

[redacted] led my husband to believe the car was in "perfect working condition" and told my husband on numerous occasions that the car would be "perfect for his mother in law" to drive. As I mentioned to you on the phone, my mom wants to give the car back to us.....

I would also like to point out that we are only discussing the Mercedes. We have decided to keep the BMW for our son. We would like you to know that we needed to buy new tires and replace the brakes (they were below 20%,) which we were told were below safety standards. This is very frightening since our son is only 16. In addition, we had to replace a switch so all the power windows would work. Hence, a $9000.00 car just became an $11,000.00 car. Once again, we believe these items should have been disclosed to us by [redacted]. [redacted], we realize we are in [redacted] and you are in New Jersey, but we believe a professional salesman and reputable dealership should be up front with its clients and tell the true facts.

Unfortunately, neither of the cars were in the condition in which we believed and were led to believe they were in. If we had known, if there had been full disclosure, we would have not purchased either vehicle.

I am not sure of your schedule, but it would be nice if we could discuss everything tomorrow (Thursday) or Friday. Please feel free to call me at [redacted] or [redacted] anytime or I will call you.

Thank you.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from auto holding which I paid cash for but dealership won't release vehicle title.

Business

Response:

We spoke with the buyer late last week and explained that the tile will be available in the next few days. We are not holding the title as there would be no benefit to us nor the buyer. There was simply a delay in getting the title to us. This issue was resolved and the title should be [redacted] shortly directly to the buyer.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I'm not resolving the issue yet not until, I get a hold of the vehicle title. And I have no words of mailing the title to me from none of the staffs either. Thank you.

Regards,

When I first visited this car dealership it meant the whole world to me with luxurous cars lined up to the stripped wall of Rt.22 in Hillside,NJ.These people so unprofessional rude, archaic and out model but that was the outcome after get tricked, induced me to buy a lemon car for a good car price. I took car home for a week and afterward the car never drove again. They told me , its probably nothing despite the facts that inwas forced to pay extra money for warranty for 2000miles and I was told to bring the car back for repairs but problem never resolved till date or go away...two months after going back and forth to their dealership they never get to resolve the repairs and they told me to leave the car and they have my car for almost eight months up till now calling them everyday, many times they refused to pick up my calls for months. And here we are almost a year , they now claiming they havent find the right parts....just this november I reported them to NJ state attorney general office who directed me to public safety dept. Of their county area...who asked them to refund my money or repair the car...but all effort to get them to act responsibily proved to be a collossal failure instead they came back asking that I pay for car storage and my car still not been repaired. Right now, I"m working with an army of lawyers to go after them and also working on huge class action because I know learnt they have ripped up so many customers in the past. We are planning to open up a website to generate all customers who had deal with them in the past to reiterate their experiences. We are hoping million people will read it and that will bring them to responsible business ethics. We looked up their background on public domain, they have no solid background and ownership but lots of court injections of ripping people off..This people are nothing but a group of scam artists specializing in baits and switches.....so public beware of falling preys and victims of their gulag tactics. You are warned. I'm still waiting for them to refund my money if not we will pursue a legal civil action against them

I used CarGurus.com to search for a used 2013 Range Rover Evoque. Auto Holding had the color combo that I was looking for so I called, discussed the car and agreed on a price and gave them my credit card info for a $1000 deposit. The following day Rick my salesman tells me that there is an additional $2,995.00 dealer fee to cover their profit and $1,000 surcharge if I pay cash and don't use their finance company. I refused to pay it, he said he would talk to his manager and let me know. I never heard back. Slimy, slimy, slimy. Who does business this way in 2016?

Review: I purchased a 2012 bmw 528xi from auto holding in NJ on 7-1-13 and since I live in [redacted] they said they would mail me the registration. They have yet to send my registration and the temporary plates expired. I am paying a car loan payment and full coverage insurance and I cannot even drive my car. I asked to return the vehicle and they refused. I asked [redacted] to not abandon my case and that I need my license plates and he threatened me and said that hurrying him will not speed anything up. I have tried calling several times and he each time tells me a new excuse. Please help me!Desired Settlement: I need to be reimbursed in some way or I would like to return the vehicle,

Business

Response:

My name is [redacted] and I was the sales person on this deal. First, I would like to be clear that in no way or form have I ever threatened this or any other customer. We sell high end luxury cars, threats are not part of our customer service as they get nothing done and only make the situation worse. As every story has two sides, this is ours: The client purchased the vehicle and was notified at time of delivery that a vehicle inspection and vin verification has to be done as soon as she gets back to [redacted]. After not getting anything in the mail for several weeks, we contacted the client. She told us that she was unaware of having to do any paperwork with her home state. Then agreed and completed to do so. Some time later she ended up sending us the wrong paperwork altogether. Following a month of back and forth, we finally got the right documents in the mail. We proceeded to relay everything to our DMV broker. As time went on, the cleint became rude and more agressive with each call. Now, I put myself in her shoes and compeltely understand the frustration. However, there is never an excuse for accusing people of threats and blaming others for your actions. We attempted to explain, in truth, the entire ordeal. She wouldn't hear it nor care for the explanation. My company and I did everything within our power to make this deal work and to satisfy the client. Unfortunately, you cannot please everyone. At the end, we apologized a dozen times and to no avail. The vehicle registration and plates were delivered today around 1pm to her home address. We have tracking info to confirm this. Out of spite, she went and left this negative complaint and false accusation of threat. Please review the information and we will be hapy to oblige in forwarding all documents as proof. Thank you for taking the time to look into the matter.

Review: Buying this car was a nightmare from the beginning. Had the car only 3 weeks, and the car failed inspection. Was told I needed brand new tires, tire rods, axles, filters, oil change, etc. Once all that was fixed, it just seemed like one thing after another kept going wrong with the vehicle. This car has been in the shop over 10 times for issues that kept arising. I just don't think it's fair that I brought a car, that really was not road ready. I just want to be made whole, and I think the company should help me get this car back on the road by helping with the cost of repairs.Desired Settlement: I would just like the down payment of 3500.00 that I paid as a down payment when I first purchased the vehicle. I would like to take that money and pay for the car to get fixed. At this point, I am paying a car note for a vehicle that I cannot even drive. I even tried to purchase a aftermarket warrenty 1 month after purchase of the car, and was denied the original quote upon inspectation of the vehicle. I was told car has pre-existing issues, and was later given a quote of three (3) times the original quote. I just want to be able to get the car back on the road. Only having the car for a year, and having issues with the car almost a month after purchase, I would hope that the company would want to work with me, considering everything.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern,After receiving a complaint from the buyer for issues on the newly purchased vehicle, we began to repair everything. As mentioned in the complaint, all original issues have been repaired. At that point the vehicle was in excellent condition. We cannot guarantee a vehicle to operate and function flawlessly as it is out of our control. We welcome the buyer to trade the vehicle back to us so that we can provide her with an alternative vehicle that will give her a better experience and enjoyment. Please don't hesitate to contact us if this is something you are interested in. Sincerely,Auto Holding

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:The vehicle was not in flawless condition because when I tried to get it inspected, it failed because the tire rods as well as the tired was shot, and there was a slew of other issues totaling almost 4, 000 in repairs in order for them to pass it. I had to take the car back to Auto Holdings where they had the vehicle for a month getting the parts that was needed for the car to pass inspection. Shortly after getting the car back, I had a conversation with a manager in regards to getting the car repaired because as Audi said on the invoice from the diagnostic, the car was tripping codes. I went ahead and paid for the various items thinking that it will be fixed, but it has been one thing after another with the car. At this point, I do not know what to do as the car has not been driven in over a month, because I do not want to continue to erode what was already wrong with the car. I thought that I would have a decent car, and not have all of the stress related to purchasing a car, as it stands, I just want Auto Holdings to compensate me for the damaged vehicle. I am in the process of looking into purchasing a new car, but I cannot get a decent price for the car with all of the issues that the vehicle has.

Regards,

Business

Response:

As offered in our previous correspondance, we are willing to take the car on trade and sell another vehicle. IF the buyer does not want to purchase another vehicle from us, we will gladly purchase the vehicle back from the buyer at a fair price. We await your reply. Thank You.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Auto Holding is saying they will buy the car back at a fair price, but Auto Holding knows that I am still financing this vehicle, buying the car back at a reasonable price will not solve my issue if I am still paying for a car that I no longer have in my possession. There is currently a note left on this car at almost 15,000. Is Auto Holding saying that they will pay off the loan that is still on the car?

Regards,

Business

Response:

We will offer the fair current market value of the vehicle not what the payoff. If you purchase another vehicle from us, we can roll the negative equity into the new deal should you have any. We will take the entire ordeal into consideration to do all within our power to make this right.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I am already in a financial bind having a vehicle that is deemed not safe, or road ready, As to add insult to injury, I was just notified that the tires that this establishment placed on my vehicle just last year July, 2014 were worn down and in need of new front tires, this is a result of Auto Holdings failing to align the tires when the vehicle was originally sent back to Auto Holdings when the vehicle first failed inspection in 2014. I was not prepared to be looking into getting another loan so soon after buying this vehicle. I am also not 100 percent sure that getting another vehicle off your lot will not place me in a similar demise. My original offer was to be refunded my original down payment which was a total of 3,500.00. Understand, I am fully aware that getting the truck in better working condition may take more than what I am asking to be considered safe, and within ** code for road safety. Please consider my offer, and understand that if this agreement is met, I will rescind my original dispute and place it in a satisfactory status.

Regards,

Business

Response:

We are not going to accept the requested down payment refund. If you do not wish to purchase another vehicle from us, that is absolutely fine. We are still willing to buy back your vehicle at a fair price to both parties.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Buying back the vehicle at a fair price will not solve my problem. Fair price means something other then what the balance is on the truck. So basically if I take this offer, I will not have a car, and more then likely I will still have a balance that I will have to take care of. How is this making me whole? I just hope that all buyers really investigate before buying anything from this place. Take heed, and go to a real dealership, one that backs their cars and actually care about the consumers buying from them.No I do not want no part of this place, as it stands, I will continue to make my piss-poor experience with this dealership public knowledge on any and all sites including [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] reviews etc. Its a shame what you guys are doing to folks just looking to get a car at a reasonable price.

Review: I visited Auto Holding Inc. showroom in NJ on 11-25-2014 and purchased a 2014 Lexus LS460 Car with Vin# [redacted]. My sales rep [redacted], assured me that the Title would be available to me on full payment for the car since I meant to export the car immediately to my country of residence - Nigeria. I completed payment for the car via domestic wire on 11-26-2014. However, Auto Holding Inc. was unable to provide me with the Title as at 12-12-2014 when I was rescheduled to depart USA. Auto Holding then offered to acquire the Title and drop-off the car at the Port within the next 5 business days, or unwind the sale and make a full refund of the purchase price to my nominated US Bank account within 48 hours. Good enough, this agreement was documented and signed off by [redacted] for Auto Holding.

On 12-23-2014 (after 7 business days) Auto Holding was still unable to provide the Title for Car, resulting in my request for Auto Holding to unwind the sale and make full refund of the purchase price to my US Bank accounts. Again, [redacted] appealed to me to wait till 12-31-2014 for Auto Holding to acquire the Title. All assurances provided that Title will be available by 12-31-2014 turned out to be false.

After waiting another 12 business days, I conveyed my decision for the sale to be cancelled and a full refund made to my US Bank Account on 01-08-2015. Auto Holding has been evasive sometimes putting my calls on hold endlessly, or refusing to pass my calls to [redacted] or anyone who could be of help in my plight. On 01-13-2015 I was compelled by this behaviour to duly authorize [redacted]) a NJ resident to act on my behalf in seeking the refund from AUTO HOLDING. Several visits to AUTO HOLDING by [redacted] is yet to produce the desired result as AUTO HOLDING remains evasive on the refund. It is now over 60 days since I completed full payment for the car. KINDLY HELP IN GETTING AUTO HOLDING TO MAKE FULL REFUNDS IN LINE WITH OUR 48 HOURS AGREEMENTDesired Settlement: [redacted]Since I paid cash for this vehicle, I desire a full refund in cash to my US Bank Account which I already sent to AUTO HOLDING INC. on 2 previous occasions. I am no longer willing to move ahead with this purchase as a result of the excessive delays already created by the failure of AUTO HOLDING INC. to provide the Title as at when due.

Business

Response:

We have communicated directly with the client and have refunded the buyer in full as requested. Although this was an issue that was out of our control, we did all within our power to remedy the situation as soon as possible.

Consumer

Response:

Thank you Revdex.com for your time and attention to this matter. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I dispute AUTOHOLDING claim of “…we did all within our power to remedy the situation as soon as possible“. There would have been no need to come to Revdex.com for help in the first place, if indeed AUTOHOLDING was fair, sincere and truthful on this transaction. AH reneged on their promise (see attached) and held back this refund until now (60+ days in all). This is not a fair business practice. Thank you again for your time and intervention.

Review: I was interested in a vehicle from dealer, a 2011 [redacted]. After test driving I was interested in purchase pending some conditions, such as replacing tires that were no good. The salesperson, [redacted] misrepresented everything about the process while failing to disclose a final price. One misrepresentation was that they would not send my credit information to multiple banks to damage my credit score since I am working on rebuilding my credit. I authorized them to view my credit 5/10/14 at initial visit. [redacted] said everything was "golden" and that they had a bank to finance. We made arrangements for me to bring in documents and down payment. I went back 5/13/14 with documents and down payment assuming everything was in place to finalize deal. I waited over an hour with no updates from salesman. I finally decided to leave and explained my concerns about the process and the salesperson raised his voice at me and berated me about my credit score while failing to address his dishonesty. I explained to management why I was no longer interested in doing business with them and left. 5/14/14, I received alerts from my credit monitoring service showing three hard inquiries, one from dealer and two different banks, and that lowered my credit score. Again, this is after the salesperson, [redacted] swore that the way their process worked it would have no impact on my credit score or report. The salesperson was dishonest and misleading from the beginning and when I decided I no longer wanted to move forward he was rude and nasty. The salesman didn't want to return my deposit saying "I don't work for free" after stating previously that it was fully refundable. Management did issue refund on 5/13/14.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to work to remove all hard credit inquiries from my credit report from their company, [redacted]that resulted in my initial interest of purchasing the vehicle. I would also like a letter confirming that I decided against the purchase, and a letter of apology for the way I was treated.

Business

Response:

[redacted]

My name is [redacted] and I am the sales manager of Auto Holding. First are foremost I would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience dealing with our dealership has caused you. Please understand that our goal and main priority is customer service. Without that, we wouldn't be able to sell any cars. That being said, I would like to have an opportunity to speak with you in person or over the phone to address each and every concern you have. I will review the entire deal from start to finish from my end to ensure this never happens again. When you initially began the credit approval process you signed a credit authorization form that enables us to gather an approval from one of our lenders. Unlike many dealer that can run your credit up to a dozen times, we do it once and forward the application to our lenders. Our lenders then verify the credit only if we are getting close to gathering an approval. There is no way to remove a hard inquiry from your credit. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience we have caused you and hope that one day we can make it up to you by selling you a good car for a great price.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I spoke with [redacted] from the company who assured me that he would work to have inquiries removed. You say you run my credit once and forward the information to prevent multiple inquiries. I had at least six hard inquiries from multiple banks you sent my information to. It was not just [redacted]. I received alerts from [redacted] and [redacted] also. Also, I contacted the credit bureaus and the hard inquiries can either be removed or recoded as soft inquiries. You have to contact the banks you provided my information to and rectify the matter.

Regards,

Business

Response:

The customer has applied for credit to purchase a vehicle. Her credit app was sent to a few banks for approval. There is nothing that can be done to remove the inquiries as they were legitimate.

Review: I purchased a car with Autoholding. First of all, they did not disclose issues that the car had, as soon as I left the car lot a window wouldn't open, furthermore a couple of days later a window actually "fell" into the door. Hard to believe that these very thorough car inspectors hadn't noticed anything. Worst of all is that the sales person sold me a car warranty which he specifically said would cover anything that went wrong with the car. He sold me the warranty for $3,350 and told me it was the Platinum plan and it would cover all. The sales person even went as far as telling me he had to call the auto warranty people whom he knew very well and convince them to allow them to sell this warranty for my car because it was a 2005 car. 18 months later I have incurred close to $12,000 in repairs and the auto warranty he sold me has paid all but about $350.00 in repairs! So not only did Autoholding sold me a lemon, but they also sold me a fraudulent warranty.Desired Settlement: I need to be compensated for the auto warranty in full, and in addition for some of the repairs which I have had to pay because of the inadequate product they sold me to cover repairs.

Business

Response:

Here at Auto Holding, one of our main goals is to gain repeat business. When we sell a high value vehicle we always inspect and service the cars vigorously. When we were doing the delivery of the [redacted] the client inspected the car in detail as well. The warranty is something that is presented as an option to the buyer. It is then thoroughly explained in detail and a brochure is given to identify which components are covered and which are not. We are very upset to hear the client had over $12,000 in repairs. We wish he had contacted us so that we attempted to assist in handling the matter with the warranty company. Instead we did not hear from the buyer. Yes, we did had to request a favor from the company to put coverage on this high priced car since it was over their age requirement. By no means did we sell a "lemon" as this is a clean title vehicle with no history of flood, theft, and/or other negative factors. The warrant is not fraudulent either, as it was explain and presented in writing as to what will and won't be covered by the plan. We would like to help the buyer work with the warranty company to attempt and have them cover some of the costs for the repairs. Since we have not heard from the buyer during these $12,000 in repairs, we do not even know what issues the car is having. We are here to help. Thank You

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

They are providing no solution with their response, they are just washing their hands. If they want a copy of all the repairs I can send them a copy of them, and then they can help with the warranty company. However, they are the ones who sold me a warranty that doesn't cover anything and they told me that it covered any repairs that might come up. I still believe I need to be refunded the warranty money because they sold me something that is virtually worthless, they are the ones selling this product.

Regards,

Business

Response:

The warranty just like the vehicle is something the buyer decides to purchase. We as the dealership present both the vehicle and warranty to the buyer. We do not make it a requirement to purchase the warranty. We have an extremely successful history with this warranty company. I am not sure why a client would incur $12,000 in repairs PRIOR to contacting the dealer for assistance. However, I am still trying to do my best and help the client work with the warranty company for possible compensation. We are not "washing our hands" as the client states, however we are not going to refund the warranty payment as it has been paid by us to the warranty company. If [redacted] decides to use our assistance in working with the warranty company, he can contact us directly anytime.

Review: I bought a used truck a month ago and paid in full upfront. I keep asking the dealer for title and they keep telling me they dont have it or will send it soon. I assume they have a limit on how much time they can take in order to get me my title? Might file a violation against them though DMV and the state. I should have received title the week of the sale!Desired Settlement: Get me my title before temporary registration expires.

Business

Response:

The New Jersey DMV provides dealers with 30 day in-state temp tags. This is to ensure that there is no gap between the temporary registration and the delivery of title. The title to the Ford Edge is in the hands of our title clerk as of 12/3/13. We are going to contact the buyer to find out whether he wishes to have it picked up or overnighted.

Consumer

Response:

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I would like to withdraw this complaint, I just received my title finally.

Review: On July 9, 2014 I purchased a used 2007 Dodge Caravan from the Auto Holding Inc. dealership on Route 22 in Hillside, NJ. The salesman is [redacted] I paid for the Dodge Caravan in full on July 9th; there was no financing. The sales process was pretty straightforward and went smoothly. I provided the payment and proof of insurance, I signed several forms and then I was on my way. I was told the title would be sent to me in the mail within 10 business days. As of today's date, I have not received the title. I contacted [redacted] several times via email and telephone about the delay in receiving the title. On July 15th he stated the delay can be up to 3 weeks. On July 23rd he stated he “will try to find out” and that “it should have been mailed by now”. On July 25th he provided an extension letter (valid until 8/28/2014) and stated “waiting on bank to send lien release.” I sent him emails both on August 3rd and 17th requesting a status update about the missing title, he has replied to neither. I called Auto Holding this afternoon and I requested to speak to the Owner, but I was transferred to [redacted] identified as the Manager. [redacted] asked how I was doing and I told him not well because the missing title is costing me money in insurance premiums &/or possible fines and license suspension with NYS DMV because of a lapse of coverage. [redacted] proceeded to ask me about the contents of the letter I received from NYS DMV, which I did. I told [redacted] I was very frustrated with the process. [redacted] rudely told me that he makes $1.8 million dollars in sales and that he was not about to be jeopardized by a 2007 Dodge Caravan. I told him that I did not appreciate that attitude and before I could proceed any further, he hung up on me. As of today's date, I have not been able to register my vehicle because I haven't received the title.Desired Settlement: Please provide the title for my vehicle.

Response:

Title and reassignment had been delivered to clients place of work on the 29th of August of 2014. We did not update the Revdex.com with the result right away. However, to confirm, the tracking number is [redacted]. [redacted] is the carrier.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and confirm that ultimately the pending matter was resolved, as I did receive the title. However, once the initial sale was completed I was no longer treated in a professional manner. Had the personnel conducted themselves differently, there would have been no reason for the matter to have been escalated to the Revdex.com in the first place.

Regards,

Review: I sent you a letter with document copies in 12/05/15.

To summarize it, I bought a Toyota Camry 2014 based on a quotation of $13,895 sales price. I figured out that I paid

$15,890 sales price in the contract.

Purchases completed in less than 24 hours of the Quotation date.Desired Settlement: Solving my problem by adjusting the sales contact based on the Dealer official quotation.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern, As per any transaction that we do with our customers, we negotiate a total and complete price. Following this we present all documents for review to the buyer outlining all charges. Following that, the buyer reviews and signs all paperwork. If you have any questions about anything stated on your bill of sale and/or contract please come in at your convenience or contact us via email so that we can again go over everything with you in detail. Sincerely,Gene K**

Regards,

Review: It appears the issues I have with this company are ongoing issues experienced by others...I began the purchasing process for a 2013 [redacted] the last week of September via the internet as I am located in [redacted]. The car was received October 22nd, but to date I still have not received my title, loan paperwork, registration, etc. which means I am currently driving an unregistered vehicle with an expired temp plate, making payments to a bank with no loan information & insuring a car I cannot legally drive. This company was very unprofessional from the beginning. Not only was the car misrepresented in the ad, the salesman, Brian A[redacted] (who I understand is no longer there) continued with the tall stories. I was aware that the vehicle had been in an accident & attempted to cancel the purchase but was assured by Mr. A[redacted] that the damage was to the rear bumper which had been replaced (for the record, the bumper is still damaged). I once again decided to go forward with the purchase with financing through the company (my 820 score took a huge hit as they ran my credit SIX TIMES!). The first contract that came through 9/28/15 overstated my income by over $7000 a month, had wrong & incomplete address information on it, etc. I refused to sign it (despite Mr. A[redacted] saying they'd fix it when they got it back) & once again tried to cancel the sale. Gene, the manager, called a week later & offered to refund my down payment & ship the car to me at his cost if I would continue with the purchase, though I am still due $33 AND I had to prove I'd paid them $1000! I agreed. Bottom line, the sale, purchase, delivery, and customer service is lacking. The company charges a $1000 "prep fee" which (according to Mr. A[redacted]) includes detailing the car inside & out & a 59 point inspection of the vehicle, yet the interior of the car (especially the doors) was dirty, there was residual wax on the exterior, I've replaced 2 exterior bulbs & windshield wipers.Desired Settlement: Get the legal documents to me, refund me the final $33 due. As much as I'd like to be further compensated for the repairs required to pass [redacted] State Automobile Inspection, I just want to be DONE with this company.

Response:

The bill of sale and refund check were delivered to the buyer and confirmed they were received. The buyer was notified as to how to complete the registration on their own, without having to wait for us. The final copy of the paperwork was sent out and due for delivery today. [redacted] tracking # [redacted] We will follow up directly with the buyer to confirm the finalization of the deal, without going through Revdex.com, although might copy the response here for ours and her records.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Yes, after 14 days of possessing a vehicle I could not legally drive, the paperwork was finally received today. HOWEVER I am awaiting a reply regarding a refund of fees in the amount of $847.88 charged by [redacted] for registration & document fees. As they were unable to complete the transaction as promised (plus the fact that I now have to take time off from work to complete this deal) I don't feel I should pay for a service they were unable to deliver.

Response:

We have no problem to refund our documentation fee and the fee charged for the DMV which equals the requested amount. Please email us a copy of the registration receipt so that we can complete the transaction on our end and mail the refund check.
