Avangate has charged me twice without authorization for anti-virus software (Bitdefender). They will not issue a credit even though I wrote back the day of the charge, explaining I do not have, do not want and did not authorize the charge. They falsely say they notified me 7 days in advance when they did NOT. They say more than 30 days have passed since September 15 and they cannot issue a credit (the date is Sept 17).
If you look for Avangate in Google you will seen many complaints about this unscrupulous company forcing automatic renewals. Avangate is Amsterdam based; Bitdefender is Romanian. They are in the business of signing people up for unwanted automatic renewals and refusing to give refunds. They do NOT warn; they do NOT notify but they say they do. This is criminal behavior. I hope the FTC and or the Attorney General look into this.
