This company charged $87.50 to my account without consent. My bank blocked a 2nd amount of $85.20 and contacted me about possible fraud.
This company charged $87.50 to my account without consent. My bank blocked a 2nd amount of $85.20 and contacted me about possible fraud. I was provided a telephone number by my bank of 844-318-1444. No one could help me, and they were rather rude.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of the amount charged to my account of $87.20. I attempted to call their customer service, but it was a continued scam. I indicated that I would contact Revdex.com to proceed.

The customer is made aware of all charges throughout the ordering process. Prior to fully purchasing customers must acknowledge the trial period time frame, shipping charges (4.78 derma eye and/or 5.79 Wrinkle cream per product), recurring charges ($87.50 wrinkle cream and/or $85.20 eye serum - unless offered a promotional price). Customers are fully informed and must agree to the cancellation policy along with the terms and conditions. During the ordering process customers must agree to all terms and conditions two (2) times with electronic signature. The customer ordered on 04/17/2018 which starts her 14 day trial + 3 days shipping, the trial ended on 05/05/2018 and customer called on 05/08/2018. As a one time courtesy, we can process a $50 back to your account, you don't need to return anything back to us and rest assured, your account has been cancelled. Please let us know so we can process your refund or If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to call me directly at 813-518-8855 my name is Jesse and I am here to help!

Trial length not clear.
Noted only shipping charge to be charged to my account.
Ad was not clear on trial period. Shipping charge only to be charged to my account. When called about charges totaling over $172.00 on my account I was told that that it is only 14 free trial. When asked about an RA # for return I was told that "it was an open product and not refundable". I also asked if I would be charge both full totals, I was told that I would and that the best that they could do was a $40.00 credit for each item or a total of $80.00. When they tried to process the credit of $40 and $40, they said that only one $40.00 credit would go through. The other one error and that they would have to issue a check and would be 10 to 14 business days before I received my check through the mail.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund. Also in the future, have the advertisement more clear of the trial length and how much $ the item will cost. Detailed that this is a subscription that will continue until you call and cancel.

Ms., When you order on our website you must agree to the terms and conditions which state that after 14 days + 4 days of shipping. The customer is made aware of all charges throughout the ordering process. Prior to fully purchasing customers must acknowledge the trial period time frame (14 days from date of order and 4 days for shipping, a total of 18 days), shipping charges (5.79 wrinkle and/or 4.78 eye serum per product), recurring charges ($87.50 wrinkle and/or $85.20 eye serum - unless offered a promotional price). Thank you

Called to cancel 3/26/2018. Was confirmed cancellation. I was charged again on 4/21/2018 in the amount of $87.50!! Returning product, credit of $35.
I received the sample in February. Wasn't happy with it. Received anther cream and charged $87.50 3/21/2018. Called to cancel 3/26/2018 and was confirmed cancelled. I was charged $87.50 again on 4/21/2018. I called and spoke with Ana. She informed me that if I wanted to return the current shipment, she would only credit my account (a debit card) $35.00, of which includes a $17.00 charge for restocking fee! That is ridiculous! If I return the product, unopened, I should received a FULL refund! So they're getting the product back and still keeping the $35.50! I've never encountered anything like this!! And, you cannot contact thru their email. No such email!
You are required to call to cancel and receive and RMA # which I did not receive the first time I called.
The RMA #XXXXXXXXX is the number I was given on 4/23/2018.

Desired Outcome

I want a FULL refund in the amount of $87.50 plus shipping and handling to return the product unopened. I will not pay $17.00 for a restocking fee!!

Avoir Derma Wrinkle Cream Response • Apr 24, 2018

Ms., we apologize for any incovenience. We have further investigated your cancellation on March 26,2018 and we will issue a refund for the adjustment on your account. A CSR has processed a partial refund last 04/23/2017 for $35 for your return. As a courtesy for the error made on your account, we will be issueing a full refund and have processed the remaining balance of $52.50 (thats 87.50 less the partial refund made on 04/23 for $35) back to your account today, April 24, 2018. You don't need to return anything back to us.

Customer Response • Apr 26, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept their response due to the fact that they gave me a full refund and I do not have to return the product. Frustrating that they simply didn't offer this to me when I initially called to cancel!! Guess they're hoping most people won't take the steps to get their money back.

This company advertises free trial products where you only pay shipping and then after a short time charges your account $172.70.
Ordered two free samples on 3/31/18 and paid $5.79 for S&H on one and a separate charge of $4.78 for S&H on the other (even though the products arrived in the same package). This charge was made with my bank card. I received two emails from the company for each order and neither made any reference or any fine print notice to contact them to cancel any future orders. My same account currently has two unauthorized charges pending for the same company in the amounts of $85.20 and $87.50. I contacted the company immediately when I saw these charges pending (877-239-8107) and was told that I could only be refunded a total of $140.00 because the product was opened. I talked with Ashley and then asked to speak with a manager and spoke to another named Max (female). I ensured that my future orders were cancelled and demanded a full refund, but they stated I was talking to the highest rep possible and they would only refund $140.00 total and asked me to agree. I said that I agreed but wanted a full refund. They would not do a full refund and would not provide me with a transcript or copy of the recording of the call (they said earlier that the call was being recorded). Following the call, I received four emails from [email protected]. Two stated, We have issued a refund back to your payment method. Please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to post to your card." Two others were "Cancellation Notification" stating, "Thank you for using DermaSkinLabs Anti-Wrinkle Cream. This email is to inform you that your subscription has been cancelled per your request." There is contact information on each: DermaSkinBrands (877)370-7015 email: [email protected] and hours listed: M-F 24 hours and Sat/Sun 8am-8pm EST. I have copies of all emails.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund for the amount my card has been charged. I agreed to pay the initial shipping and handling charges, but did not agree to the charges of $85.20 or $87.50. I would like this business to be required to make the future charges obvious.

Avoir Derma Wrinkle Cream Response • Apr 23, 2018

Ms., When you order on our website you must agree to the terms and conditions which state that after 14 days + 4 days of shipping you will be charged for the bottles if you do not call to cancel and return the product. And the account will be automatically enrolled to monthly or recurring shipping unless cancelled. Your trial started the moment you signed up with us on March 31, 2018 and ended on April 18, 2019. We didnt receive any call from you within that period thus why your account has been charged for the regular prices.

We are willing to give a one time courtesy by refunding you the remaining amount of $32.70 ($15.20 - Derma Eye & $17.50 - Derma Wrinkle). The CSR you last spoke with has already made sure to cancel any future shipments or charges. Please let us know at (877)370-7015 or simply reply to this email so we can process your refund. Thank you!

Sent me a lotion a did not order and a monthly subscription to their lotion.
I received a free sample of Avoir Derma lotion. I looked up the lotion online. Finding their website, it said the lotion was $17 and I would get billed after 18 days. I would also be added to an auto-ship on a monthly basis costing close to $90. I did not place an order with Avoir Derma nor did I enroll in any subscription to their cream products. I also found online the following advertisement that looks like a news story. https://www.insiderheadlines.com/breaking/v/abby-sciutos-secret-$5-skincare-empi... />
The celebrity associated with the product said it was not her advertisement nor did she have anything to do with the product. Her face was used without her consent.

The link takes you to:

https://www.tryorganicpurereleasecream.com/diw32m/?AFFID=4639&click_id=XXXXXXXXX... />
This is where you are offered a free trial size.

It is a phish for information, collecting credit card information, address information, and adding you to a monthly subscription without your consent.

Desired Outcome

I did not order this product. I am willing to return it, but they want a restocking fee. I will not pay a $17 restocking fee. Also I want them to destroy all information they have on me and notify me of their company information so I can notify my bank.

Pain and suffering from burned skin from product, Charged credit card 2 more times without my consent for $175.00. Would not refund all of it.
Bought for $5.79 a sample of skin product. It caused my skin to break out in little blisters like pimples and my skin was red and burned. Caused pain and suffering. Unknown to me their was a hidden clause that they would send more of this gasoline in a jar to me. I had my credit card charged 2 more times for $87.50 a piece for a total of $175 more. Me and my credit card company contacted them and they didn't care that my skin was hurt or the suffering it caused and they would only refund a partial amount of $127.50 leaving me $47.50 short. They also said they mailed out another jar of this gasoline in a jar but I never received it. This company is a scam and fraud. And VERY DANGEROUS!

Desired Outcome

They would only refund my credit card $127.50, not the full amount, which shorted me $47.50. I also suffered pain from the skin lotion for severe breakout of a skin condition like pimples and red burn marks on the skin. It was like gasoline in a jar. I want $5,000.00 for my pain and suffering as well.

Scam. Absolute scam.
I signed up for the trial size face cream and eye serum. I received only the face cream. Emailed the company saying haven't gotten the eye serum - received an email saying I did and a tracking number was provided. Email also stated my account was closed as of 4/13. Bank account charged on 4/13 for $87.50, another charge dated 4/16 for $85.20. Called the company, I was told the eye serum sample was in the same box as the face cream - no it wasn't. I was told my account was not closed - I have the email from them saying it was - and the charges were valid according the very print that I can not find anywhere now. I demanded my money back and the lady only agreed to a portion of one of the charges - not both, and not the original charge of the eye serum sample not received. Yes, my fault for trusting an online company, but I deserve my money back. Oh, and the fine print apparently says you will be charged for a full size product even though you in reality you only received a trial size portion - the charges are for the trial sizes, not a full size new product being sent in the mail!!! I have filed a dispute with my bank. Buyer beware!! Hands down the worst customer service ever.

Desired Outcome

Complete refund - $87.50 and $85.20 plus the cost of the trial eye serum of $4.78. For a grand total of $177.48. I can provide all documentation to support the account was closed prior to the charges, and I guarantee the eye serum was never received.

Hello Ms., you placed your trial order for both products on March 25, 2018 and your trial ended on April 12, 2018, this was the time our system charged you for the $87.50 and $85.20. CHarges will go through a processing time before they reflect on your statement. You called us on April 15, 2018 - 3 days after your trial ended and after you were charged, you spoke to a representative and she cancelled your account on the same day.

On your last call, the representative processed a refund for a total of $80 ($40 off of each product), we are sorry for any incovenience this has brought you and we will give you a one time customer courtesy by processing the remaining refund of $97.48 ($92.70 + $4.78). So thank you again for the refund, however this was very poor customer service and very poor representation of the product. I am disappointed in myself for falling for a scam, and I will be a much more cautious consumer due to this experience.

Company used false celebrity endorsement and policies were purposefully deceptive.
Original order date: 1/25/18
Billed: 2/12/18 $87.50 and $85.20
Billed 3/20/18: $87.50 and $85.20
Order number: XXXXXX
RMA #: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Date of last contact: 3/20/18
Ph: XXX-XXX-XXXX
Email: ***@dermaskinbrands.com
Payment method: visa

Company used false celebrity endorsement to appear legitimate. Terms and conditions were purposefully misleading and not easily or clearly communicated.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a full refund; including, but not limited to: all product costs, shipping, and what the company claims as "restocking fees". This company is not only deceptive, but dangerous; those individuals that are vulnerable or on a fixed income could find themselves in a dire situation, should they fall victim to a scam of this nature. This company should be shut down, and legal action taken against those in charge.

Customer Response • Apr 18, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I consider this company not only takes advantage of customers but also prides themselves in deceptive business practices. Terms are not given up front, but hidden deep in the ordering process. I am agreeing to the terms to settle only.

Untruthful advertising and unauthorized charges to my credit card. No full disclosure of what they claim to be their policy or offer.
They advertised "FREE PRODUCT TRIAL" only payment is for shipment cost. I requested their free product trial and charge was posted to my credit card ON 3/4/18 for $4.78 for the aye cream and $5.79 for the face cream although it was mailed on same small package via USPS regular mail. I received the free product trial on 3/9/18 per USPS Tracking System.
No where on their advertisement or the paper with their product stated that I had only 14 days to return their product or that I would be automatically charge full price ($85.20_eye and $87.50 face cream) for their "free product."
Without any notice or consent, the business charged my credit card on 3/21/18 for $85.20 & 3/22/18 for $87.50. Once I realize of the charges made to my credit card, I called the company at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX to complaint and request they credit back my account for the unauthorized charges. Their response was that they could not issue any credit because I could no longer return the product. It was already after the 14-day free-trial although they made those charges without my knowledge or consent and before 14-day.
They claimed I was sent an email notifying me of their policy. I never received any email or notification of their policy, not when I ordered the "free product trial (or I would not have ordered their product), not by email and not with the product. I can not return the product without some "RMA Number" they suppose to give me by telephone but they wont give it to me because over 14 days.
Their product is not good, their "policy" is not clearly stated to the consumer before or after placing the order.
Avoir Derma Wrinkle Cream company is clearly out to make money out consumers by false and misleading advertisement.
I have asked my credit card company to dispute the charges and to not accept any other charges from this company. However, I feel the responsibility to file this complaint so that this company stop taking advantage and misleading consumers. A legit company with a legit product should not resource to tricks to scam money for their products.
In the past, I have order free trial products from other companies and I have never encounter a scam like this one.

Desired Outcome

Avoir Derma Wrinkle Cream should issue full credit for the two unauthorized charges of $85.20 on 3/21/18 and $87.50 on 3/22/18. They should also send me the "RMA Number" they require for returns so that I can return their product. The company should also revise their advertisement so that it's made clear to the consumer that the full price of the products of $85.20 and $87.50 respectively will be automatically charged to the consumer's credit card at the 14 day from shipment date without notice. This same notice should be with the product.

Avoir Derma Wrinkle Cream Response • Apr 05, 2018

Customer called on 03/30/2018 to cancel after trial period ended. Per terms and conditions all used products are non-returnable or refundable once past the 14-day trial period. During the ordering process customers must agree to all terms and conditions two (2) times with electronic signature before their order will successfully go through. Customers account was closed by CSR on 03/30/2018 and offered $40 for each product a total of $80 back in which the customer agreed to.

We do not usually do this but we will give you an RMA number so you can return the products back to us and we can process a refund of $45.20 for the Derma Eye Serum and $47.50 for the Derma Wrinkle Cream, a total of $92.70.

Please take note of the RMA number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and write it anywhere outside of the package and send it to: Avoir Derma Wrinkle Cream Returns ; P.O. BOX 153201 #6700, Tampa, FL 33684. Please let us know when you've returned the products and provide us the tracking number so we can process the refund back to your account. Thank you!

To whom it may concern:

I tried to file this complaint on your website but kept page kept disappearing before I could fill in information blanks. My complaint is regarding:
Customer (me): ***
Company: DermaSkinBrands
Address: 3201 W Hillsborough Ave, Suite 153201-6700
Tampa, FL 33684

Product: Avoir Derma sample for $4.95

Problem: upon ordering sample online customer has signed up for
subsequent orders of the same sample size jar now for $87.50. At no time is that
policy conveyed but customer service rep says info was related via email in January. I received no email from company at
all.
Action so far: I called 1-877-370-7015 and talked to customer service
rep (named Frey). He suggested two solutions. #1. He would cancel future orders and I pay $87.50 or #2. I could return for restocking fee, postage and handling that came to $60. I suggested a third alternative, filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. He put me in hold and said they would reduce the cost of the order by $50. I said no. He then said he would reduce by $60. I said I would then be paying $27.50 for a product I don't want and did not order. He put me on hold and came back saying he would deduct $69 and I
should keep the product. The product does not work and I do not want. I cannot get a full refund. I looked online and saw multiple complaints from people saying they had similar experiences. I am willing to leave it alone but am afraid I will have continued charges going
through as some people complained of continued charged adding up to over $300. I will watch my charge statement but in the meanwhile I would
appreciate your investigation. Some complaints online refer to Derma Skin Brands as Instant Elixir, although I don't see that on the shipping box. Also, the product was endorsed by the Shark Tank hosts, but I am not sure they are aware of this endorsement. The product
is small, the size of a sample. Also, it does not work even as a moisturizer.
Thank you for any help you might offer.

A CSR has cancelled and credited her account $70 out of the $87.50 charge and let her keep the products. She was no longer billed and has been taken off of the subscription.

Customer Response • Apr 14, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First, the company's response that customers must agree to the terms and conditions is not true. NO terms and conditions we're ever offered at the time of ordering. Also, when I spoke with the customer service rep, he explained to me that I would have had to cancel within 7 days (not 14) and that the time it takes to ship is included in that trial period before a charge of $87.50 is assessed. This point is moot as I was not made aware of 7 or 14 days as no terms and conditions were offered. Further, the ad said "as seen on Shark Tank." This product has not been seen on Shark Tank, much less endorsed by Shark Tank. It is a complete misrepresentation of a recommendation that is not given. Magazine covers that allude to endorsement are also shown, including Vogue, Good Housekeeping and other reputable magazines totaling five publications all together. This product has never been featured or even mentioned in these magazines. The internet is fraught with complaints that this is a scam. And there are so many sites to add to the confusion. Upon investigating, I found the following sites that lead to the same ordering trap: skincareantiaging, skincarehelp.co.uk, to name a few. When typing in "what cream does shark tank endorse" videos from Shark Tank come up but when they are clicked on they have nothing to do with the cream. One video is captioned says "Shark Tank deal that broke all records" and it is not about the cream, but a scrubbing sponge. Very dishonest and manipulative. Since I was credited back $70 out of the $87.50 I am not out that much money but the money is not why I am pursuing this. It is to protect other consumers from being scammed, manipulated and otherwise lied to with the hopes of fleecing consumers.

Not educating or communicating with the consumer regarding billing practice of company
Ordered a trial of the Derma winkle cream from a Facebook add for $5.95 on March 8, 2018. Knowing that nothing is free I specifically looked for information regarding when I would receive another charge or if it was a recurring monthly shipment or how their process worked. The add that it took me to showed nothing of this information that I was searching for. Email confirmations from the company confirming the order and a separate email confirming the shipment did not mention anything about the policy either. Nor did the paperwork that came with the product. On March 28 a charge for $87.50 appeared on my debit from the company. After calling the company on March 29 the representative explained that after a 14 day trial period I would be charged the full amount if the product had not been returned or if I had not called the company to confirm returning the unused portion. This policy is in their 'terms and agreements' which I could not find anywhere from the add that I had ordered the product from. The representative gave me the product website to go to in order to show where the terms and conditions are. However, this is a different website that appeared on the Facebook information. The company did give me a $50 credit which is the most they would do even after speaking to a supervisor. While I know I am responsible for the terms and conditions in a situation like this, this company has deceptive practices to get the consumers money. I was aware of how these practices work so I specifically looked for that sort of information. If I could not find it how is someone who is not aware suppose to know of the hefty charge that is going to appear on their debit or credit account? By offering a $50.00 refund they are still ahead of the game as they pocketed the $5.95 from the original offer plus an additional $37.50. This is what I call a deceptive practice.

Desired Outcome

It's resolved. As much as it's going to be, unfortunately.

The customer called after her trial period ended and a CSR has already cancelled her account and processed a refund of $50.

This company advertises a trial size of their products for $5. What they fail to tell you is that it's actually a 14 day trial and if you keep the product you'll be billed an additional $19. You have to pay for shipping to return the product. They're located in Tampa, FL but the customer service reps respond in broken English with little punctuation. Derma Skin Brands is a rip off.

Desired Outcome

No settlement requested - for Buyer beware!

I've contacted the company (at their request in their response) and have received an email confirmation that they will refund my money. Thank you very much for your help.

This company is a fraud. They lie, they commit false advertising and they steal!
In February of 2018 I clicked on an add on a website that had a famous or not so famous because I cant remember who she is telling everyone in her add how she was retiring but then went on with some story about how she had this wonderful cream that she wanted everyone to try. It was so wonderful that she would send you a sample and all you pay is the shipping of $4.95. Well come to find out, sadly, its a scam. They sent me the sample (its garbage) charged me the $4.95 and then on 3/5/18 they charged me $87.50 which I did not agree to, it was never mentioned that I would be overcharged for their junk and now they refuse to refund me. They say that I must have forgotten to read the disclaimer. There was no disclaimer!!! It was a sample. They lied in there advertising and from what I can tell they have lied to a lot of people.

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive my money back from them in the form of a cashiers check for $87.50.

Ms ***, When you order on our website you must agree to the terms and conditions which state that you will receive a 30 day supply of the product and you can test it out for 14 days for the cost of shipping and handling fee only, after 14 days + 3 days of shipping you will be charged for the bottles if you do not call to cancel and return the product. Before fully making your purchase you were asked if you agreed to the terms and conditions. Your trial started when you placed the order on 02/10/2018 and ended on 03/02/2018 in which we didnt recieve any call from you thus why you were charged. A CSR has cancelled your account on 03/19/2018, rest assured, you wont be charged further.

As a ONE TIME courtesy, we can refund you back $87.50 through a cheque. Please contact us at *** with reference number: *** so we can process the cheque for you.

In fact, I sent two responses and uploaded documents. No it is not resolved. The company told me they were mailing me a check and they have not done it. That was after I called them twice.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I checked my bank account and yes they refunded me my money today that they took from my account.

I was charged $19.10. The web site I ordered from indicates I have 14 days to cancel; therefore, it is my fault that I didn't contact them by phone within the 14 day trail. See the following explanation where I did asked not to be charged additional amounts.

I sent an e-mail on February 5, asking not to be charged because I thought I was charged an additional amount (my mistake it was another company that charged me), but I did ask this company not to charge any additional charges to me.

Today I was informed they sent an e-mail on February 6 indicating that I had to return the product within 14 days or be charged $19.10. After searching, I found that e-mail went to spam.

The scam is the information that was in the trial package I received does not refer to the website I originally found. It only refers to Dermaskinbrands. The e-mail support name and the name of the company. No where on that paper does it refer to a trial 14 period where you need to return or you will be billed. Today the website name they gave me on the phone was www.derma-wrinklecare.com

I feel I was scammed out of this money. I asked for a copy of the contract I signed/checked when I ordered showing that I would be charged after 14 days. They couldn't provide me with that.

During my calls I was disconnected 2 times. They told me they were a 3rd party organization, but couldn't provide me with how I could get in contact with the parent company.

Please advise others to avoid this company.

Thank you.
