We have visited the jobsite different times to corrected the issueWe had replaced screens, replaced weatherstrip because it was cut to short from the factory We had also replaced balance shoes that could have potentially been damaged by every day wear and tear Our service tech also stated that there could possible installation issues We feel that we have fulfilled our warranty obligation by assisting the customer in the field to correct this issue

please submit photos showing windows along with the glass id codes of units with issues to [email protected] include who looked at your windows/doors, Weather Shield does not show a claim submitted that we sent a Contractor to your home to inspectWeather Shield will review the photos and id codes and respond back to you

It was unfortunate that the process took as long as it did for Mr*** Our process consists of receiving information from the homeowner and then checking to see if there is a servicing dealer in their location Mr [redacted] was referred to a servicing dealer in his location but the dealer told him they were unable to order the parts which is strictly their decision When we received the information from Mr [redacted] it was found that we no longer have the parts that he was in need of Therefore, he was referred to Strybuc and then Amsco The amount of $being disputed is between Amsco and Mr*** Amsco is a separate company than Weather Shield We apologize the length of time it took to get the partThank you, [redacted] Warranty Claims SpecialistWeather Shield Windows & Doors(715) Ext

As per Crestline limited warranty and adjustment policy, incidental damages are not covered Customer is not happy with the door Our service technician that inspected the door, insisted they did not want to keep doorWeathersheild offered refund of the full cost of original door Customer did not accept our offer Our offer is still available to the customer to accept by May Customer can reach us at 1-800-826-

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Unfortunately, the cost to replace the damaged sash and windows far exceeds the settlement that WeatherShield has offered The statement that they do no longer make the windows and patio door that I need replaced certainly does not in my opinion give them a reason not to honor warranty My hopes are that they will review their settlement amount and adjust appropriately I've also offered many time that I will be agreeable to getting a similar quality/dimension replacement windows/patio door even if it is not the exact window/or door product.In regards to their statement that a representative was sent out in 2011, we have had continued problems since that representative was present That service rep unfortunately did NOT evaluate anything other than the patio door We were not present nor were we aware that the service rep was at the property as his visit was scheduled and he was accompanied by our homebuilder, who was a WeatherShield dealer Since the installation of our windows, we've continually sent messages to our homebuilder/contractor about issues with the windows, with no response I was told originally by a WeatherShield representative that all warranty issues are handled through our local dealer Since I had no response from the local dealer, I've begun dealing with WeatherShield directly with no resolution.I've carefully document and can present all inquiries to both our local WeatherShield dealer/homebuilder as well a to WeatherShield directly I'm confident that it will be in WeatherShield's best interest to honor their warranty and I look forward to continued responses from WeatherShield Regards, [redacted] ***

Can you please get the glass code for these units We do have a year prorated warranty meaning the first years we warrant100% the second years the glass has a prorated warranty depending on the age of the units The code that I am looking for is a digit code beginning with a letterThank You !

there is not enough information regarding the customers complaint, I just called the customer and left a voice mail needing a return call requesting additional information regarding what the unit is and the part he is looking for

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that there is no changing the stubborn minds of those making decisions for this poorly run company.They state that my original order was in 2011, which is correct, but then claim I did not inspect the product until I inspected what I could immediately and informed them of their initial mistakes based on the product I inspectedThey addressed those mistakes (making a new mistake in the process)However, I was unable to inspect all product until I was able to install the new windows (I had a debilitating arm surgery, among other setbacks), which was beyond their arbitrary day threshold.A company that hides behind policies in the face of blatant mistakes is a company that doesn't deserve to serve the publicI would encourage Weathershield to study companies like Honda, Apple, Gracothe list goes onThese companies admit their mistakes and make it right with their consumers.Such is lifeI hope my experiences with this company can help others avoid potential costly situations like I've encounteredAll said and done, the company's mistakes are going to cost me $that I don't haveThank you for putting me further into debtBe proud of yourselves, Weathershield

reviewing our records, the original submission isolated specific windows where
water infiltration was experienced but have exceeded the goodwill service labor
warranty of year from the date of manufactureThis time frame was
established to resolve any defects in material and/or workmanship
of the
products at no chargeWe are able to locate an exclusive claim #*** where
our service technician adjusted exclusively the door product for better
operator on 8/23/No following claims of deficiencies have been documented
in the order history, which would lead us to believe the units in the home have
been performing as designedIn
reference to the claim made by Mr***, regarding concerns of water
infiltration, order #*** was prepared and offered to replace the glass
components in three double hung picture sash, double hung bottom sash and
sliding patio door panelsThe offer was exclusively for components only and
did not include any labor or installation reimbursementsThis offer has since
been turned down by Mr*** and order #*** has been cancelledPer
the terms of the applicable warranty and upon review with our Director’s,
Weather Shield has sole discretion to repair, replace and/or refundDue to the
fact that we no longer offer replacement components for the door system, we are
willing to fulfill our obligations by offering a settlement of $to
buyout the remainder of the warranty termsA release has been emailed to Mr
*** for review, requesting a signature and return if approvedAs
an additional goodwill, we will offer 50% of the labor invoice to cap seal his
residence and ask that he submit an estimate prior to proceeding

Weather Shield will issue a return pick up for the original door shipped on order#***. The door will need to be returned to Budget Home Center - located at *** *** *** in *** ** *** where it was original purchased from for our semi to pick it up. Once the door is returned
back to Weather Shield Mfgwe will issue a credit to the dealer for the dealers net cost of the door.
The customer will need to work directly with *** Minser at Budget Home Center for the final arrangements of any payments as the reimbursement will be to Budget Home Center

Glass replacement was initialized in 6/8/ 2011. We received notification that bead should be almond not white - sent correct part 8/22/Were notified that two pieces of glass were cracked on 9/6/and replacedWere advised that items & came in correct sizeReordered
glass 10/21/We then didn't hear from the homeowner until 11/6/We then received correspondence on 11/6/regarding two errorsWe asked that the homeowner double check the items received to insure that they all had. The homeowner stated he hadn't opened the boxesWe suggested that he open the boxes and take pictures to make sure the labels were showing along with glass id codesThis is the last we heard from the homeowner until he contacted us on or around 4/21/to advise of errors

They have made erroneous statements in their reply; for example, they had numerous requests from Doors of Pontiac, over several months, before they finally replied, perhaps because we had referred the matter to the Michigan Attorney General's officeAlso, Doors of Pontiac, as one of only three businesses in Michigan authorized by Weathershield to handle their warranty request, has be overwhelmed with requests for warranty service of Weathershield products, while experiencing delayed responses from WeathershieldThis company has shown a pattern of poor business behavior!
