I sincerely apologize for the time it is taking to complete
your solar system installation On 8/Baker Electric Solar took
on your project knowing that your HERO
financing application (initiated by
another contractor) was already set to expire, requiring us to immediately
secure an extension on your behalf. The second extension however should
not have been necessary- and that’s on us. Your permit was properly
submitted to the City of Temecula on 9/16. Unfortunately due to the
volume of permit applications being processed by the city at that time your
application wasn’t reviewed until 11/5, when they requested additional
documentation on the inverter specified for your project. We responded
immediately and received the approved permit on 11/10. System
installation began on 11/and passed city inspection on 11/25.
Permission to Operate (PTO) has been requested from Southern California Edison
(SCE) and is expected to be granted in January (the PTO timeline is set by SCE,
of which we have no control after application)
As you are aware your project involves two separate finance
programs. Many installers can’t/won’t offer the combination of benefits
associated with a third party prepaid lease coupled with the HERO program due
to the complexity and timing challenges. In your case funds were indeed
electronically received on Friday 12/5, but not reconciled until the following
Monday 12/
The placards that were not secured properly to their
surface, and roof tiles damaged during installation, were both corrected
shortly after being reported. The one remaining roof tile we agreed to
take care of at no cost
In the end, the project is has taken longer than expected
and you have been inconvenienced- again you have my sincerest apologies.
Your recent conversation with our project coordinator appears to be an
acceptable resolution to you If you have any additional comments or

Baker completed our Solar Installation this spring (2014) with the highest quality of installers, electricians, support staff and top rated Sunpower Solar panels
We particularly appreciated their help in finding the staff necessary to move our pool thermal panels to a different side of the roof - as it was a bit complicated
Their staff is extremely knowledgeable about solar - and electrical power distribution - including patching into the new conduits and adding a power outlet for me in the garage
I definitely appreciate their decades of trustworthy operations as an electrical company in San Diego, a primary decision in selecting Baker over the dozens of pop up solar shops one finds these days

Baker installed solar in May and it has not worked correctly since installNow that they installed a lease system I am also having to deal with sunpower the company who made the product as wellThe system is not generating the solar energy appropriately, I also have no way to view my product ion because it is brokenI was told they needed to replace the micro inverters and they told me they were on back orderI got the email saying they were ordered but they never installed the repair, instead they decided to try something else and still the system is not workingI am now stuck paying lease payment as well as my sdge billI have spent months on the phone with Baker trying to find answers and no one is fixing this in a timely mannerVery dissatisfied with both companies and product!!

About a month ago, I completed an evaluation about Baker Electric Solar after having solar panels installed on our roof in February. I was disappointed that the system was inoperable for a 3 week period and no one from Baker had bothered to call me. I didn't notice it until the 2nd week and then it was another week before the situation was resolved. It turned out that it was a homeowner error as one of us had accidently turned off the circuit breaker for the solar panels. So it was our fault, not Baker Electric Solar.

Thanks for bringing to our attention Mr. [redacted]’s ([redacted]) complaint.  To bring you up to date,  we’ve been working with him since he first informed us of his issues around his energy consumption.   We have performed a comprehensive situation analysis and have designed...

I looked around quite a bit for the best price using quality materials. Baker's salesman was very personable and the engineer that was sent out to design my system knew his stuff. The office liaison, [redacted], has walked me through the process. So great price and good people. What more can you ask for?
