Bar Crawl Unlimited Reviews (%countItem)

BIGGGG TIME SCAM! They were emailing me up until the day of the crawl. They never told me where it was or anything. I spent over $100 on tickets bc it SOUNDED like a great event. Had to do a charge back with my bank... I want my money back. Now that I'm on here reading these reviews, I'm so mad at myself. I can't believe how stupid I was. For tacos and margs I'll stick to my mexican restaurants.

Could not attend the event as my boyfriend had to go out of state. Their posted refund policy was no refunds but they offer credit if you can’t go and you can put the funds towards a future event. Well I tried contacting them via email, Facebook, and through Eventbrite and to this day, no response. At this point I do not trust this “business” one bit.

I purchased a 4-person ticket to a Margarita Bar Crawl in Chattanooga TN. It was advertised on Facebook and I bought the tickets through EventBrite. As soon as we arrived to the "Registration Bar," we quickly realized something was off. The bar didn't know that it was participating in the event and the person who was there to welcome customers of the bar crawl was handing out dollar tree "gifts" like cheap cups and beads. The bar was unaware of its participation and was flustered at the number of people trying to get "discounted" margaritas. Then, there were only two other bars listed in the city that were participating, but one was closed and the other was also unaware of its participation in the event. In other words, there was no event to speak of and the tickets went to absolutely nothing. I have contacted the Customer Support and requested a refund multiple times via phone and email and through the EventBrite website and have received no response besides to send another email when I spoke to them on the phone. They did say there were multiple issues with the Chattanooga Bar Crawl, but no other information was provided. I also reported them as a scam through the Facebook page, and warned others to not buy tickets, but all negative comments on their facebook page have been deleted by them.

My friend and I attended the mimosa crawl in Chattanooga, TN on Feb 16th, 2020. This event was hosted by Bar Crawl unlimited. The facebook page said that they would have "swag" to give out and that they would have several restaurants with deals for us but that they would not have the full list until possibly the day of the event. When we got there, they had listed only three locations and the "swag" was a string of mardi gras beads and a koozie that said "Margarita crawl" which was not the event that we attended. We found out from the other patrons who did not purchase a ticket for the mimosa crawl, that the "
deals" that we were given for purchasing a ticket, were the same deals everyone was getting. It was very over crowded because they had at least 300-400 people trying to go to the same three places. It was almost impossible to get a mimosa at all. I went to the facebook page and could not find a way to write a review and notice d that many comments were hidden by them.

I attended the Taco and Margarita crawl (or attempted to) “hosted” by by Bar Crawl Unlimited. Showing up at the check in bar at the listed time of 2:00 only to find a long line of people and hearing the bar was not open and people were passing information that we could show our online ticket at another venue and they would honor it. We never received any of the swag we were supposed to. Everyone we spoke to was as unsatisfied as our party. All venues seemed to be completely unprepared for the amount of attendees, as if they had not been clued in how many tickets had been sold. All inquires have been blocked and no responses from BCU have been received. I now wish I had dug further into this “company” before attending this event and will warn everyone I speak to and splash all over Facebook warning people to NOT attend anything by this fraud of a party host which is obviously nothing but a take a money and run group. Disgusting. Get a job!!

Complete scam and false advertising!!! This was the biggest joke of a "margarita festival" I have ever seen. I've gotten bigger/better drinks at the crappiest of Mexican restaurants for a fraction of the cost that I paid for this "event."
What is pictured as advertised (great looking, big margaritas with fresh ingredients) is NOT what is served. What is served is "flavors" straight from mix with no tequilla. They used pickled, jarred jalapenos (GROSS!). At $25/person, we also got two MAYBE 4 oz drinks which is not what is promised.
I believe this company bounces around to popular cities, leading people on to make money, and then bounces out quickly before anyone has enough time to complain.
We arrived to the 3:30pm event in Nashville this past weekend, and the table was broken down and gone by 5:00pm. So many people were looking around at each other confused like "we really paid money for this crap?"
All comments on their Facebook page are hidden, and I believe that is SOLEY because others are trying to send a warning before other fall for this dupe.
This is like a bunch of mini "Fyre Festivals".

On Jan 25th we purchased tickets to the Margarita Bar Crawl at Alley Taps in Nashville TN. The event page stated there would be four drink samples, raffles, and a $50.00 cash giveaway. We thought this would be a fun event for our guests from out of town as none of us had ever done this and it sounded great. Upon arriving at 3:30 there was no direction - the girl running the table wasnt even sure how to check us in. We were finally given two drink tickets by a gentleman who walked over and said he could check us in. We wrote our names to put in a big pitcher for drawings later and went to the bar. We were told they were not doing four drink samples as they had ran out of one flavor at the earlier event. We instead were going to receive two drinks. These were watered down and just so bad that one friend couldnt even drink her first one. After just sitting and talking for over an hour, we asked when the raffles and cash giveaway would start. We were told they would not be doing that as they had given everything away at the fist event earlier in the day that sold out. Thats clearly FALSE ADVERTISING! You should take that off your website and event details if you didnt have the money/prizes for the second event! We were completely scammed into paying 25.00 a person fo what sounded like a fun event but was instead a bunch of empty promises from the event page. r

This is a total rip of! Your "ticket" to the crawl will allow you to get into places, (which already do not have a cover charge) and receive drink specials (specials already offered to all who go to the bar). No venues are announced until the day/afternoon before, due to the Crawl organizers being "at the mercy of the venues." I have never heard of purchasing a ticket for a concert and not knowing which musician is playing. No refunds...yea...totally bogus!!

I purchased 3 VIP tickets for a Taco and Margarita Crawl in Memphis, TN for Jan 18, 2020. This event was organized by BarCrawlsUnlimited of Tucson, AZ, and tickets were sold via Eventbrite. Six restaurants/bars were advertised on FB on the Downtown Memphis FB page as participating in the crawl. Only the host restaurant, Alfred's on Beale, actually participated. Eventbrite does not provide refunds. I believe BarCrawlsUnlimited provided a poorly organized event thereby leading to false advertising and fraudulent activity. I have made contact with them multiple times, with no response. I believe a complete refund is due of $115.20.

This is a scam! Paid wrist bands for a bar that does not charge a cover. 2 days before event and venue is still "TBA". All negative comments and reviews are "hidden" on event page. Margarita Crawl with 3 participants, a beer garden, a hotdog restaurant and a cash only bar. None of these places feature "Margaritas". They are selling tickets to an event that is not actually an event, anyone can walk into these venues FOR FREE and get the same drink specials. Just read the complaints- this is the same issue in every city and they are "sorry because they are a growing company"?? That is NOT an EXCUSE to steal money from people!

I had to leave 1 star because 0 stars is not an option!

I paid for 4 tickets to a margarita crawl in Kansas City and the event was “canceled” and moved to another date. I was out $90 and I emailed the company and the regional Vice President of the company said he would refund my money. The whole event was a scam. They contacted the Kansas City local bars the WEEK of the event to see who would participate and only 2 bars agreed. Our local news station did a segment on the “Bar Crawl Unlimited” and basically called them out on their planning. After seeing this and contacting the VP, who said he would refund me, he will not respond to any of my emails or phone calls. Terrible customer service. From all the comments I’ve read, this entire company is a complete joke, scamming lots of people for their money.

The company planned a Margarita Crawl and a week before the event cancelled it and moved it to another date. The date did not work for me and they promised refunds. I have sent countless emails to their customer service department and have been greeted with broad responses and no help. I have been waiting over 3 months for my 80$ refund and have yet to get any answers or help.

We purchased two tickets for the Mimosa crawl in San Antonio (Jan 12th). After we arrived at the first bar to begin, they only were letting a few people in, (like 40people). The line was at least a half a block long just to get into the crawl.
Finally, after standing in this line for almost 15min without moving, I walked to the front to find out that there was NO ONE checking people in and NO event representatives. This was when I began to worry that something was off.
The "bouncer" who seemed to be a bar back, was unable to answer AMY of our questions and didnt know who was in charge. He was asking people inside for all of our answers. I finally was able to learn I could "register" and go to the other bars on the crawl. And that's when I learned there were only TWO OTHER BARS!
This event was supposed to begin at 12pm-5pm and the event only had 3 BARS!
So my husband and I walked to the next bar, only to find out that they were not participating and had no idea anything was going on!
So we walked to the 3rd bar. They knew what was going on ONLY because they had to call the manager who was also caught off guard but honored the incoming crowds expectations of $mimosas but only till his supply of Champagne ran out (2 cases). This bar was very understaffed with only 2 bartenders, very clearly NOT expecting a BIG EVENT.
Not once did we EVER see ANYONE in charge of the event, no one really knew what was going on. I attempted to call the company with no answer. I have left multiple voicemails with no return calls.
I began to look through other events this company has hosted in other cities and the complaints are the same. None of the venues knew about the event, everyone paid full price for drinks, no one around to assist with the issues. I feel the general consensus with this company is that they are posing as planners and take your money.

I purchased 4 tickets for the Kansas City margarita crawl back in October for the event in November. They asked 2 bars the WEEK of the event to participate and that was it. I emailed the regional Vice President, Adam Dobres who assured me I would receive a refund via email. I sent it all the proper information he requested to get a refund and he said it would process within 30 days. It is now January and he has not responded nor has my refund been received. Do not trust this company as our local news station did a segment on them as a scam company! I will keep writing bad reviews until I receive compensation, as stated in my email. After reading all the reviews it seems like no one is pleased with the events put on by “Bar Crawl Unlimited” and they just keep on scamming folks out of their money!!!!!! Complete trash company.

"Bar Crawl Unlimited" will post events on Facebook through Eventbrite (which I have used 6 times in the past with no issues), you pay the event fee and then they change the location, event name, participating bars, and dates. They will not actually have the event. They will not refund your money, they just keep rescheduling the event to a later date. They scammed over 1100 people in my city alone, they have been on the news as a scam and they need to be investigated and stopped.

Bar crawl unlimited is a scam. They add bars to the lineup without their knowledge, the swag bags that they claim to give out are not bags but plastic beads and glasses. You py for an armband and you get nothing with it. No drink specials. They are going from state to state and city to city stealing money from people and not providing a service.

Bar Crawl Unlimited Response • Dec 18, 2019

I’m sorry you feel this has happened. However we contact local establishments prior to our crawls and request specials that they themselves send us. We just advise them of the price range we would like to be in to hopefully appeal to our crawlers. We don’t call our merchandise “swag bags” we have said swag in the past but we stopped that due to confusion. All that is included in our crawls is listed on Eventbrite and Facebook. We post that their is a LIMITED quantity of merch available to the first people in line.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Huge SCAM! You pay $20 for a wristband. There was poor communication, poor organization and you get nothing for the money that you pay. The day of the crawl in Boston, several changes and dropouts of bars were made because of Adam's poor communication Wynn the owners.
They should be shut down!

Bar Crawl Unlimited Response • Dec 18, 2019

We apologize for your experience at our Boston event and we are actively working to correct communication issues that arise last minute.

Advertised a bar crawl with swag bags and no communication about event location or deals involved. Their FB page has many complaints listed from other cities where events didn’t occur, or didn’t occur as described. Attempts to reach out for info have been unanswered

This company advertised a bar crawl for the area. So I purchased tickets a d now the company isnt responding to anyone. The sponsors they picked have not heard anything from the company as well. Were finding articles on the company where they charge the money for tickets and then same day cancel the event and dont give a refund for it. There are also news articles on this. This company is.scamming people put of money.

On June 18, 2019, I purchased two tickets through Eventbrite for a pub crawl that Bar Crawl Unlimited intended to host in Madison, WI on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019. The cost of the two tickets was a total of $30.99. My order number is 969499685. On Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, I received an email from Bar Crawl Unlimited stating that they could not find any bars that would accommodate the event and that they were changing the date. In the email it stated to email them information on my purchase to receive a refund. I sent them the requested info and have not received any refund. I do have copies of the email correspondence from them if needed. I have emailed them several times and have received no responses from them.
