Paid for a VIP Taco Crawl that never happened. Was told refund was being processed. Never received. Now, they are
ignoring all forms of communication.
Back in November, I came across a Facebook event for a St. Louis Taco Crawl being put on by Desert Sky Event Planning. Being the huge fan of tacos that I and my friends are, I immediately snatched up four tickets. It was scheduled for my good friend's birthday weekend (3/29), so we also got a room downtown to maximize the amount of fun that we could have.

A few weeks later, they announced they were selling VIP packages. More tacos. More drink tickets. Free swag. Of course, we upgraded. Too good to pass up!

The tickets with the VIP upgrade and processing fees came to $142.97. Judging by the amount of people that clicked "going" or "interested" on their Facebook event page, they sold hundreds of tickets.

Fast forward to the morning of the crawl. The weather was a little chilly and drizzly. I received a notification from Facebook that the crawl had been rescheduled to a TBD date due to weather. The posting also said they would still be at Tin Roof (the starting point of the crawl) from 3-8pm for an "All-Day Taco Party" that would take place just at Tin Roof. It also specified that they would be giving out the VIP swag and one free taco ticket to each participant as a make-up for having to reschedule the crawl.

Obviously, we were disappointed but decided to soldier on, especially since our hotel room was non-refundable.

We arrived at Tin Roof at 5pm and the taco people were nowhere to be found. I eventually found the manager and he was visibly angry about the situation and said that the taco people had left long before we got there. He kept repeating that they really had nothing to do with them and that they were never doing business with them again. He bought us a round of drinks as an apology.

I sent the company a message through Facebook and received no response. We made the best of the situation and had a nice evening, but it was nowhere close to what we had expected.

The next day I remembered that I had seen a post on their event page for a local realtor who was sponsoring the crawl. I reached out to him to ask if he had received a refund for his sponsorship and he told me that not only had he not been refunded, he was being completely ignored by the representative that he had dealt with. He was more than happy to pass on that man's information to me.

I proceeded to call him and message him multiple times. He finally got back to me and basically told me to eff off. I have been unable to reach him since.

The crawl was eventually "rescheduled" to 4/20. I, along with many of the people posting on their Facebook page, were unable to attend that date due to it being a holiday weekend.

The funniest thing about their "rescheduled" date is that it was still to be held at Tin Roof. I knew that to be impossible, seeing as how the manager told me they were done with the company.

After multiple Facebook messages and emails to Desert Sky, I finally received a message that I should contact Bar Crawl Unlimited. Apparently, this is another front for their company. They were good at responding at first. Even went as far as telling me my refund was being processed. Then, radio silence. No refund. No communications from them at all.

On the evening of 4/19, the Facebook event page announced it was being rescheduled again "due to so many people being unable to attend the day before Easter". No mention of the fact that Tin Roof told them to go to hell. It is now "scheduled" for 8/18 at a location TBD.

I am beyond *** about this whole situation. It's not really the money (although it's not exactly pocket change) it's really just the fact that they have so brazenly committed fraud against so many people and there seems to be no penalty to them. They even go as far as to delete every negative message that people post about the situation on Facebook

Paid them $500.00 to attend 3 marketing events that never took place.
*** was paid $500.00 for us to attend 3 marketing events as the dates approached I reached out to *** to get the event details and he wouldn't answer my calls or reply to my emails. In frustration I went the their Facebook page since this is the only "website" they have and saw numerous complaints about them taking money from both companies and individual for events or tickets to events and the events never took place and the money was kept.

Company appears to be operating fraudulently. Event was cancelled and refund still not received. Hotel said event was never scheduled for 03/09/19.
Desert Sky entertainment was advertising on Facebook for the "Bacon and Brew Fest 2019" to be held on 03/09/19 at Best Western Tucson Airport. I purchased tickets on 12/10/18. At the end of Feb beginning of Mar 2019, I started seeing remarks on their FB page, that they had changed "ticketing" companies, and then that the event had been reschedule to May 2019. Multiple customers called the hotel, and were told the event was NEVER scheduled at their location. As people began to request refunds and make comments about Desert Sky being dishonest, the comments and info was being deleted so that others could not see it. I have multiple printouts from FaceBook, Square up (who's app was used to make the charge to my bank),emails from *** (business representative) stating he had "submitted" for my refund on 03/06/19. (He attached a screen shot to the email, but it had NO info as to who he sent it to or any specifics. When refund never showed, he blamed the "ticketing system" saying he has no control over how long it takes for the refund to be issued. I still have NO refund. I have contacted the "ticketing" company, SimpleTix. They stated they will no longer to business with Desert Sky, due to the "issues" they had with Desert Sky. I contacted my bank, Bank of America, and they stated the transaction, although done under "desert sky" was processed through "Square Cash aka Square Up", a Point of Sale App. I was able to pull up my "receipt" for the transaction on their website, but it also states any refunds have to be done by the business/entity that ran the transaction, as they do NOT provide refunds through their company. It appears I am not the only person who has been taken for money, and many others were taken for alot more than me. After Desert Sky "rescheduled" to a May 2019 date, there was a notification (that has since been deleted from Desert Sky's FB page) that another Company/Entity was taking over that event. I can no longer locate ANY information reference the event being held at all. *** has since, stopped communicating. When I threatened to go to Revdex.com and Az Atty Gen's office reference fraud, he responded that he didn't "fraud" me, so I "coulden't" do that. Taking into consideration that the event was NEVER booked at the location, it was "cancelled" and "rescheduled" then "taken over" by someone else, and I was told he submitted my "refund request" on March 6, 2019. I want my FULL price refunded ($66.44) and Deserty Sky entertainment investigated for fraudulent practices and schemes.

I bought a 4 pack of tickets to a taco bar crawl it was a rain/shine event. On the day if the event , March 30th 2019 at 11:30pm they cancelled event

Subject: Desert Sky Event Planning e-Tickets For Order XXXXXXXX-E. Paid $72.75 for a 4 pack of tickets for a rain/shine event at Tinroof in St. Louis Missouri. that they cancelled due to weather and offered refunds but would never respond to countless attempts to reach out to company for refund. The event location has now said the reschedule date of April 20th 2019 at Tinroof in st. Louis Missouri is no longer doing events with the company and we should receive refund.

I was told by the company I would receive a refund by April 1st. I have not received this and they will not respond to me.
11/6/18, I bought VIP tickets ($85.97) to the St. Louis Taco Crawl taking place on 3/30/19. Their website was not allowing me to purchase the VIP tickets so I contacted the company Desert Sky Event Planning via Facebook. This company did not post any information or additional details about the even until two days before the event. On the day of the event, 3/30 it was raining and they cancelled the event. This event was advertised as rain or shine. They said they would try to reschedule the event. I immediately emailed them and asked for a refund. Below is conversation. This was all via Facebook because you cannot contact them any other way. Their email address does not work and they do not answer their phone.3/30 Me-Are we able to get a refund for the St. Louis Taco Crawl that has changed? Company-The event is not canceled so may I ask the reasoning your requesting a refund. Me-Due to all of the changes that were mentioned for today and lack of communication throughout the event has me no longer interested. Company-You purchase tickets to a concert or sporting event and it gets moved they don't refund people. Why would this be different? We are making arrangements to make this a better event instead of making people walk around in pouring rain and giving you 2 events for the price of one Me-The event even said it was rain or shine, however, it is not. How it is just one bar and one free taco and some discounts. Company-And we are giving you the option to come out today and enjoy the taco party and then have the full on crawl in a few weeks with better weather. You want to be running around downtown in pouring rain? Me-It is only one taco and a few drinks. Your lack of communication during the whole time leading to the event has been non-existent and also the lack of professionalism even in the message is very unprofessional. I do not find your company reputable after all of this. Company-If you had questions about the crawl before hand you could of asked us questions. We don't like to bombard the event page with a bunch of messages. We posted an update a few days ago. Me-That makes no sense. There were not even any details as to the other bars until then. Very unprofessional. I will go ahead and submit my complaints to the Revdex.com to add to the D rating your company has. Company-It's not our fault as well when a couple of bars chose not to participate anymore today as well due to the weather. Me-I find that hard to believe. There would be no difference as people coming to their bar in the rain. You have been no help to me and with all of these changes and not even refunding people is a scam. Company-I'm sorry you feel that way but I am passing along all the information that was given to us by the office. The ticket says rain or shine all sales are final. You can check in and do the crawl today in the rain if you would like we said that in our post so feel free to check in and use your tickets from 2-4pm Me-Then event is not rain or shine as you changed it. How can we do the crawl when you just said the other bars said no and you event posted you are keeping the taco tickets. Company- Sent me a screen shot of the post from the bar listed Tin Roof St. Louis. The screen shot stated the following: The Taco Bar Crawl that was supposed to begin at Tin Roof today has been postponed due to inclement weather as well as numerous other factors that were out of our control. Feel free to reach out to Desert Sky Event Planning if you'd like a refund or more info. Me-It says refund. Please issue my refund Company-Send us the ticket confirmation and we will send it to our office to process on Monday. Me- I sent all of the info to them. Company-Got it. 4/1&4/2&4/3&4/4 Me- I wanted to follow up in regards to the refund I should be receiving. I was told it would be taken care of today. Has it been? Company We processed it yesterday now we are awaiting an approval with our old ticketing company. 4/8/9/12/14-No response when I asked where refund

I was promised a refund for a cancelled event they I have not received
I bought 6 tickets to an event they hosted in St. Louis Missouri. March 30th the day of the event 2 hours prior to the start they cancelled the event. I requested a refund and was told they would process it Monday. I message again Monday and another day that week and was told they would get it processed. They have yet to refund my money and will no longer respond to my messages about when I can expect it

This company made a Facebook event in my city, then aggressively marketed tickets with sales and "limited time" purchases. I bought two tickets for a "rain or shine" event that was postponed the morning of the event because of the rain. After it was postponed, the company stopped responding to Facebook private messages and requests for refunds. They are monitoring and removing unhappy customers' comments on the event page, but they are not helping their customers. The host bar and event sponsor quit, so I don't know how the event is possible at this time. From cursory internet/Facebook searches, they do this sort of thing (selling tickets then not producing the event) very often.

Bar Crawl Unlimited Response • Dec 18, 2019

We apologize that the event was rescheduled but often due to weather our event coordinators who travel to the city are unable to make it so we postpone. We are under new management and would be happy to resolve your experience.

Customer Response • Dec 18, 2019

The company representative (owner) was in town the day of the event, but the event was still postponed. The Facebook event page and business page were eventually deleted without any event occurring in my city, and I never received a refund despite multiple attempts. If you want to resolve my experience, I want a full refund of my purchase and evidence that all other tickets from the event in my city have also been refunded.

This is a Fake Company. There was supposed to be a Bridal Expo on 1/27/19 at The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. I called the resort & they said it was canceled cause they could not get a hold of them. I also called Desert Sky event planning & left a message & no one got back to me. I prepaid $625 for a booth. Never recieved a refund or call back. Do Not use any of their services it is a Fake Company. Scamming people for their money.

That event got cancelled due to an old business partner and it was the responsibility of that old business partner to issues refunds. If you would please email us at [email protected] and we will take care of that issue.

This is a fake company. *** scammed my company and many other companies into a Bridal show that never existed at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch on 1/27/19. When I called the venue after not hearing from *** for a few days, they let me know that they didn't have anything on their calendar. Now I cannot get a hold of *** for a refund of my $350 that I pre-paid for my booth.

I would highly recommend avoiding this fake company at all costs.

Event has been cancelled twice, they will not return messages or emails, deleted Facebook events when people demand refunds.
I purchased my ticket for a 90's bar crawl that was to take place June 30, 2018 in Seattle. A week before the event an email goes out that due to low ticket sales the even was pushed to October 13,2018. On October 13th at 12:00pm (the event was to start at 4:00pm) they made a Facebook post on the event page that "due to another bar crawl in the area and 80% of people posting that they can't make this weekend the event will be rescheduled to Spring 2019." After several people commented that this is unprofessional and asked for refunds for tickets purchased spring 2018 they deleted the entire Facebook event. I see on another event they had planned in another city they did the same exact thing. This place is a scam, won't return emails or phone calls. They have no intention on ever holding these events, they are simply scamming people into buying tickets for events that won't ever happen. They also have a weird no refund policy, this is absurd.
