To whom it may concern, [redacted] and [redacted] purchased a spa we manufactured from one of our distributorsShe has contacted our customer service department on several occasions and expressed concerns about dirty water in her spaMore than one representative expressed to the customer that based on over the phone troubleshooting, the hot tub is filtering as designed and the dirty water is likely caused by a heavy bather load and recommended adding a supplementary sanitizer to the customer's maintenance regimeThe customer expressed that she did not share the same opinion, and wanted a technician out for further diagnosisBecause the customer did not wish to complete the authorization form required for service as stated in the terms and conditions of the limited warranty, we would not be able to facilitate this serviceWe provided the name and number of the local contracted service technician, because the customer expressed they would like to contract with him directlyBased on our conversations with Rick from [redacted] , the customer has yet to schedule this service, but based on his communications with the customer, he also believes that spa is filtering normal Please let us know if you have questions!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, [redacted] When I purchased the pool it came looking used and with defects, when I told them they said it was not their problem but the 3rd party who delivered it or Signature Production, probably why they do not sell directly so they a another company to blame(pictures [redacted] ) There are extensive warranty on the item but they will not get anyone to come out to look at or fix the itemThey rarely respond to me or follow through with my inquiriesI was recently told their price was way over the top and I was screwedIt quit working for almost weeks when they were to send someone here to fix it, at nearly $cost to me, it was less than a year old and under warranty, no where on the warranty did it say travel time is covered by the client, until I had the pool for months and needed serviceThe pool started working again on it’s own so it seems I have an intermittent issue which will pop up again and which I will not get service for again at that timeThe pool does not match the image of the pool on their site which also is why I think I have a used or non-barefoot item, bait and switchI feel for $30,they could do much better for meand this was with their supposed 40% off and Military discount, seen others down to $16k to $30k without discountI’m a disabled VET who needs a year round pool for exercise and there is none within hr of my home so I had to purchase this and did not need all this hassleI did try to put the complaint on hold before you filed they were sort of attempting to contact me and work with me but never accomplished anything so I gave them a few days and by the time I went to your site to ask you to hold the complaint open you had already closed it

To whom it may concern, Our records do indicate that the warranty claim that was issued on November 23rd was deniedAs shown in the pictures provided by the customer, the residue left on the pump after the leaking water evaporated is a clear signs that the shaft seal failed do to improper water chemistry As stated in the warranty terms and conditions (attached) failures caused by improper water chemistry are not covered under warrantyThis was explained to the customer at the time the ticket was deniedBecause there is evidence of a water chemistry issue, it is likely that if there are plumbing failures in the future, that these would also be a result of this issueHowever, issues with other components of the spa would still be covered under a manufacturer's warranty, and if a defect were to arise was caused by a flaw in our manufacturing process, it would be replaced under warranty as stated in the terms and conditions If you have further questions regarding this matter, please contact us anytime! Thank you!

Stay away from this placeTheir customer service is horrible and they do not stand behind their warrantyWe bought a tub from them on October 2015, came with a year warranty on the inside and year on the outsideSupposedly they say they will cover all parts cost and labor costBut only after you pay a $co-pay for the technician trip feeThe customer service supervisor said it's like at a doctor's officeThey are not doctorI had to get very very angry to finally get someone to talk to meBelieve me they do not care about any consumerThey are very rude and non caringStay away from themAnd also it took me months of begging to even get them to set up a tech to fix the big crack in the bottom that was caused by the delivery people and it is still not fixedWe made a huge mistake buying this Barefoot Spa

Revdex.com spoke with the businessAt this time the customer has declined to pay the trip fee to bring a tech to the home to review the problemthe customer's warranty covers parts and labor but the trip fee is not included in that and is the responsibility of the consumerIf the customer would like the business to assess the issue he can contact the service department and schedule an appointment

No customer service
Spa design is minimal
Filter is on the same side as water jets, dirt, sm, goes to the other side
Minimal wood frame
No insulation on tub, or housing
No valves to close off water so a pump or heater can be replaced
While the main two speed pump can be changed easily, the one speed
pump requires removing controls with circuit board, major headache
There has got to be a better tub out there, any savings on the price of the tub will be sacrificed on expensive repairs

To whom it may concern, Mr [redacted] contacted our customer service department via email on 7/16/wishing to cancel the scheduled service call (see [redacted] ), as the hot tub was operationalIf the customer is under the impression that the hot tub is still in need of service, he can contact our customer service via telephone or emailThank you

To whom it may concern, We do not have record of a purchase from Miss [redacted] Based on the purchase date, it would appear the product was purchased from another manufacturer, and the number she is dialing is no longer in serviceOur customer service may be able to assist the customer in locating a new coverOur number is (804) 298-Replacement covers can also be purchased from many outfits online, including [redacted] .Thank you!

Matt from the business contacted Revdex.com regarding the new pack that had to be sent out to the customerThis was sent on October 11, Once the customer gets this he will be able to set the appointment with the tech to install

Crooks and scam artists. They lie about the 10 year Warranty. They should not be trusted and there product is not built with quality or customer in mind. They have one thing on there mind and that is taking your money and sending you on your way.

Spa arrived next day and my electrician was having difficulty with the wiring. I called the salesman from spa blowout and he promptly called me back and gave me customer service number. They were very responsive and had me take photos and send to them. Within an hour we figured out the problem with the wiring. So far excellent service

If you are considering them, DON'T DO IT. We bought a Barefoot Spa in 2015 at a blowout sale just like everyone else on here. They did lie to us and tell us that no chemicals were required to run this spa. I seriously questioned them because I had worked as a lifeguard and my parents owned a hot tub, so it seemed to good to be true. It was. It was a total LIE. You need just as many chemicals as any other spa on the market. Now, our pump has somehow worn a slice into itself from use. I contacted them repeatedly and the only thing they wanted to do was send a person to look at it, but the catch is, you have to sign an agreement that you will pay whatever they tell you. No, that isn't how its supposed to work. Someone is supposed to look at it, tell you what's wrong and what needs to be done. Then you decide if you want to do it. I'm not signing any contract that states I have to pay whatever a person says. THAT'S INSANE! Now, I've contacted them several times back and forth, sent pictures, etc. and they say its not covered by our warranty. BUYER BEWARE! The warranty is garbage and only covers defects. So what do they consider a defect? Good question! Nothing! Don't buy from this company.

If you are thinking of purchasing a hot tub from Spa Blowout (Barefoot Spas), think again. I purchased my dream hot tub from Spa Blowout in January 2019. Less than two weeks after installation, the heating element busted, which is covered under the warranty. Since then, I have been dealing with subpar customer service. It took more than a week for them to send a service technician to diagnose the problem. Now I have been waiting on this part to arrive, and customer service has yet to give me a tracking number, nor have they sent any email updates. The service tech had the customer service rep on the phone so I could hear her approve the repair and covered parts, and she said she would email me later that day. Of course, I have not received any emails or phone calls. This was a very expensive lesson. I would NOT RECOMMEND Spa Blowout or Barefoot Spas.

We appreciate you reaching out to us and are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your hot tub. Our records show that once you contacted us in late February, we dispatched a technician to determine what was causing the heating issue. He determined that the heater needed to be replaced and we immediately put in an order to the manufacturer to ship a new heater directly to you. Although our records show that the heater arrived on March 7th, we have been unable to get in touch with you to schedule the technician to install the heater. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so we can get your spa up and running again!

This is the comment that I received from Spa Blowout after posting my review:
"We appreciate you reaching out to us and are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your hot tub. The only follow-up I head from Spa Blowout (Barefoot Spas) after my heater was determined to be faulty was after I posted my Revdex.com review. No one left voicemails, and I only received an email on March 27, 20 full days after the heater arrived. Spa Blowout should have known that the service tech already made the repair. Your customer service needs some serious help.

Thank you for your response. Normally, we receive a report back from the technician when they install the part; we did not in this instance and failed to follow up with them in a timely manner. We apologize for our delayed response and will improve our process. We are glad that your spa is now fixed. We appreciate your feedback.

Warning- do not purchase a barefoot spa from spa blowout. Again, do not purchase a barefoot spa from spa blowout, your electric bill will go up between $150 and $200!

We went to a show in bangor, maine last fall and ended up purchasing a 2016 ml8. My husband and I do not make a lot of money so this was something that we really wanted for a family but also needed to make sure we could fit into our budget plan.
One of our concerns was how much having a hot tub would raise our electricity bill each month. The salesman, marko franklin, assured us that it would be about $40 each month. That certainly seemed reasonable to us, so we went ahead with the purchase.
We hired a certified electrician to install the tub.
The first month, we saw a $200 increase in our electricity bill. We were shocked! My husband and I thought it was because we were using it so much that first month. So, we cut back drastically the second month.
That electric bill was a $175 increase. Again, we were shocked and could not understand why considering we were barely using the tub.
We started calling around to local hot tub companies and checking with friends who also had hot tubs. Everyone told us that an electric bill with that much of an increase was highly unusual and did not fall in line with typical hot tubs. We even called a local hot tub repair man, who was certified by barefoot spas to repair hot tubs. He informed us that he had never heard of an electrical bill going up that much before.
At that point, we thought maybe it was the electric company, so we started tracking our usage. We saw that the tub was turning on all the time, even when we weren't using it and it was properly covered (we even purchased another cover to go on top of the leather one, just to try and retain more heat).
We then called customer service at spa blowout, hoping they would be able to help us explain the extraordinary high electrical bills. It took awhile to get a hold of someone but when I finally did, the woman, cindy, told me that what she tells her other customers is that they should turn down the temperature by 10 degrees when they are not using the tub, then turn it up right before they are getting ready to go in. I was not too happy with this suggestion, as that was extra time and energy that we shouldn't have to spend as well as added wear and tear on the electrical board. Nonetheless, we decided to try her suggestion out for a month.
It only decreased our bill by $20!
At that point, both my husband and I decided that either we had a defective hot tub or spa blowout lied to us when we asked them how much it would affect our electricity bill.
I tried calling the 804-325-8094 number for three days straight and each time a person on the other end said customer service was not available, they would take my information and have someone get back to me. I was assured the first day that someone would reply within 24-48 hours. When I never heard anything back the third day, I decided to try the 1-877-55 hot tub phone number.
I managed to get a hold of a delmar melton that way.
He told me that the $150 to $175 was typical with these hot tubs because they are circulating all the time to clean. When I told him that there was no way my husband and I would have agreed to purchase a hot tub from them if we knew that was how much our electric bill would go up, he told me that I needed to call the salesman myself.
I firmly told him that was not my responsibility, as the salesman worked for spa blowout. I told him that the company needed to do something to help us, as we are now at the point that we are putting our electric bill on our credit card to pay for it. Delmar said he would call me this morning to discuss.
Instead I got this email which reads- per my last email I am following up with you in regards to your electricity bill. I regret to inform you that I have brought this matter to the operations manager attention and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the situation. The cost of your electricity bill depends on a number of factors such as kilowatt hour, temperature you are heating your spa, outside temperature & conditions, how often its used or not used, ect. All of which we a salesperson is unable to predict because everyone’s environment, usage, and electrical component set up varies from home-to-home. These factors differ from city to city making is almost impossible for the salesperson to predict your electricity cost. Typically, there isn’t a dramatic increase in the electric bill once a spa is added to someone’s home. But nonetheless, there wouldn’t be anything anyone would be able to do in regards to lowering your bill. I completely understand where your frustration is stemming from but again, there isn’t anything that we would be able to do to decrease your electricity bill. Thank you for you time and patience, thank you and have a great day!
Best regards, delmar melton

my husband and I trusted the salesman and trusted this company. They came to our town, and made us believe that we were working with a family-owned company that cared about their customers. We live in a state where a person's word is their guarantee. This company scammed us into buying a hot tub that we can not afford, and now is refusing to recognize their deceit. We still owe $5,000 on a machine that we can not afford to run anymore. And, we are paying interest on our credit cards to pay for the electric bills that we didn't budget for. I honestly don't know what we are going to do at this point.

Do not purchase a hot tub from spa blowout!
