Barefoot Spas Reviews (174)

WARNING- Do NOT purchase a Barefoot Spa from Spa Blowout. Again, DO NOT PURCHASE A BAREFOOT SPA FROM SPA BLOWOUT, OUR ELECTRIC BILL WENT UP BETWEEN $*** and $*** A MONTH!!!!!!!
Sales guy told us the hot tub would add a average of $*** per month to our bill.
The first month, our bill was $*** more!! After cutting back drastically on our use, the bill was still $*** more the second month. Repeated attempted including turning down the temperature when now in use, did not make a reasonable dent.
After five months of trying to figure out why, I called Spa Blowout customer service thinking we had a defective tub. Here is their reply-
Per my last email I am following up with you in regards to your electricity bill. I regret to inform you that I have brought this matter to the Operations Manager attention and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the situation. The cost of your electricity bill depends on a number of factors such as kilowatt hour, temperature you are heating your spa, outside temperature & conditions, how often its used or not used, ect. All of which we a salesperson is unable to predict because everyone’s environment, usage, and electrical component set up varies from home-to-home. These factors differ from city to city making is almost impossible for the salesperson to predict your electricity cost. Typically, there isn’t a dramatic increase in the electric bill once a spa is added to someone’s home. But nonetheless, there wouldn’t be anything anyone would be able to do in regards to lowering your bill. I completely understand where your frustration is stemming from but again, there isn’t anything that we would be able to do to decrease your electricity bill. Thank you for you time and patience, thank you and have a great day!
DO NOT PURCHASE A HOT TUB FROM SPA BLOWOUT!!!!!!!!! We honestly do not know what to do at this point.

Barefoot Spas Response • Feb 28, 2019

We appreciate you reaching out to us and are sorry to hear that you are experiencing high electric bills. As we have discussed through multiple phone calls and emails, there are many factors that determine an electric bill and no one can predict changes in an electric bill due to cold weather temperatures, electric company fees, home energy efficiency, increased usage, etc. What we do know is that Barefoot Spas are a premium product and do not increase an electric bill in the manner you have described. Energy conservation is a priority of Barefoot Spas and that is why we use our patent pending thermal retention process which captures and stores heat generated by the hydro-therapy pumps to increase the overall efficiency of your spa. We really hope you are able to find the cause of your high electric bill and regret that you feel that it is due to the spa. We have contacted you at the number provided to see if there was anything additional we could do to help you out.

To whom it may concern,
Please see the attached pictures provided by the customer of the affected areaThese pictures show evidence that the origin of the leak is at a shaft seal that has been corroded over time by the water in the spaThis can be caused by an improper chemical
balance or an abrasive component in the source water of the unitAs stated in the terms and conditions of the warranty, maintaining proper water chemistry is the responsibility of the spa owner, and is not a defect in our manufacturing processIf the customer would like us to facilitate the repair of the leak, we would be happy to do so, but it would be at the customer's expense. Please contact our customer service if you have any questions, please contact our customer service department at *** ***

+1

What a fantastic experience Great salesperson, went above and beyond to get the hot tub in my backyard I bought a PL Lots of jets, doesn't make the annoying loud motor noise my last hot tub made, water has been really clear so far I highly recommend this company

To whom it may concern,
I have *** a copy of the terms & condition of our warranty, that was also provided to the customer before any services were renderedAs stated in these terms & conditions, the trip charge is the responsibility of the spa owner; and if the defect
is found to be caused by an error in our manufacturing process, then Barefoot Spas would cover the parts and laborWe have honored this warranty claim for the customer, despite the fact that there was evidence that the hot tub was serviced by someone other than our authorized service center in the interest of goodwill. If the customer has further questions regarding the services offered under warranty, he can call our customer service at anytime.
Thank you!

To whom it may concern,
Our records indicate that we have resolved this issue with the customer, and service is scheduled for todayPlease let us know if you need further information

To whom it may concern,
Please see the attached copies of our product owner's manual and the terms and conditions of the warrantyAs stated, Barefoot Spas cover's the parts and labor for a manufacturing defect, and the customer is responsible for the trip charge accessed by the
technicianThe customer was provided these terms and conditions and agreed prior to any services being rendered. It is not standard practice for the service technician to collect payment from the customer on site for warranty services, they are a third party and we have attempted to reach them to understand the reasoning for doing doIf the service technician saw corrosion on the pump caused by poor water chemistry, that is not covered under warranty and that may be why they collected payment from the customer.
The customer was advised to send the part back to Barefoot Spas using a pre-paid shipping label for testing, and in the event that the pump is received, tested, and found to have a defect caused by an error in the manufacturing process, we will cover the parts and labor for the services as stated in the warranty terms and conditions

[No offer was made accept for me to pay a tech out of my pocket $to come take a look and also they lie and do not tell the entire story. hot tub over heats, ozonator has been verified by mfg delozone that is installed incorrectly. and filter basket will not let water through to filter. service tech told us that the hot tub is junk, and he would never own oneand he can't come till we pay up front. why if it is covered under mfg warranty. these issues started immediately upon installation. and no heavy bathers as we can't use the tub because of the over heating and poor filtration system. you can count on one hand since purchased the amount of times my husband and I tried to use the tub . Only people live here. so once again tell me how heavy usuage is a problem, I think you have to get in the tub to be classified as usage right? Amanda refused to acknowledge my issues!! So she just lies about our conversations to protect the company.Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

To Whom it May Concern,Many of the customers concerns need to be addressed to the distributor he purchased the product through, as stated to him when they were brought to our attentionThis would include the delay in the products arrival and the damages to the spas exterior that apparently happened during the deliveryBased on conversations with the customer, these damages were not notated or brought to the attention of the delivery company when Mr*** accepted deliveryBecause they were not notated, we informed the customer that the distributor would not be able to hold the delivery company liable for the supposed damages. Barefoot Spas manufacture's the product, and therefore has facilitated the repairs that were relevant to the customers manufacturer's warranty subject to it's terms and conditionsHowever, as stated to Mr***, per the terms and conditions of the warranty (see below) we are not liable for loss of use to due any defect, and the warranty duration cannot be extended. customer, our support team and the service technician believe the electrical installation on the customer's spa is not wired to EBCThe customer was advised that upon servicing the spa, he would be responsible for service if the technician confirmed thisAt that time, the customer declined serviceWe are ready, willing, and able to service the customer according to the terms and conditions of the warranty (see ***). Playing soccer my whole life, I've had bad knees for years and developed restless leg syndromeBecause of this It was so hard to sleep at nightwhich The Barefoot SSallows easy access in & out of the spa plus soaking in my swim spa relieves the pain in my knees and greatly reduces the shaking of my legsI would recommend a Barefoot Swim Spa to anyone who is looking for a way to help with eliminating these issuesAfter looking and comparing swim spas from numerous manufacturers, I believe Barefoot represents the highest in quality and the best in valueOh, and even at 62, and I'm back on the field kicking the ball around with my two grandchildren even at

Providing the gate valves is the first step. Obviously they won't do much good siting on top of the hot tub, they must be installed. A visit from a repairman starts at $100.00, just for coming out. It is estimated that the installation would take a minimum of hours as some of the plumbing connections must be redone to make room for the valves. Therefore more parts are needed plus the manhours. A total cost of at least $***
What other changes would I find attractive from the to the models? Such as the drain moving from the center to the corner to remedy drain leakage problems
As this would probably void the extensive warranty that comes with the hot tub (please let me know if the warranty that was on your site in February was also changed), so I would choose to not have the installation
Your check for $*** will settle this misrepresentation of what your product should contain

They told me that the trip cost was $50-dollarsAccording to contract this is to cover cost if the problem was not a malfunction in the hot tubThey would not be charged if the problem was on there side of the tub if nothing had been done to void manufactures warrantyWhen the service company finally called months after the initial contact with Barefoot, they told me Barefoot charged me $before even finding out whether it was warrantied work or notThe sales people never gave me a copy of the warranty, they just showed me your Accreditation of the Company and the first section of the warranty that said how long the tub was good forI am not the only one who has had a problem with this company in my area for the sale they had in 6/This is according to the service tech that called me. It has now been over months since initial contact with BarefootI would appreciate some sort of action on this complaintThis complaint has also been forwarded to the NY Attorney General. This is ridiculous the amount of time involved for a Company that has been Accredited by your office.ty*** ***

now the pool temp is not working and I emailed them last week about (13Aug2015) it, this is two issues in the first years, and yes I cancelled the other problem after weeks of it not working and them NOT doing anything, they need to just refund me about 25% of the cost of the pool since their warranty is not worth the paper it is written onthen they can go their way I'll go mine and I will just fix future problems on my ownthey have a useless warrantyalso my pool looked used and scratch & dent when I got it even though I did not unwrap it for a month before I inspected itI sent them pictures as soon as it was opened and told them of the problemsI think they owe me about $ and we can dissolve our relationship or they can just come get the pool and refund the full $30,
