Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We have not had any interaction with this customer concerning their account since October, 2012. This account was previously charged down, which is why the balance was reading as $71.96 on the customer’s credit report. We have adjusted the...

account, so it is now stating the customer’s accurate balance of $1252.18. This account is currently being handled by our attorney, [redacted]. If this customer has any further questions or concerns regarding their delinquent open loan with us, they can contact our attorney referenced above, at ###-###-####.

[redacted] is a supervisor in charge of your account. There was a default in your contract so we were giving you a courtesy call and Terri escalated things and spoke vulgarities at [redacted]. There has been a long history of assistance on this account and there is a management lock on this account as it is...

under investigation by our management. You made the payment and are only due for your 10/30/2015 payment

Our company mailed this customer a Notice of Sale document and Repo Location letter on 12/05/16, which includes all the information they are requesting. These documents were sent regular and certified mail to the address we have on file on the same day that their vehicle was repossessed.

Mr [redacted] received the check after it was returned to us by the United States Postal Service.  Mr. [redacted] furnished us with the wrong address and claimed the post office lost the mail.  We asked Mr [redacted] to wait until we received the mail back from the post office and we will send it to the new address that he furnished us.  A few days later, we received the item back, contacted Mr [redacted] and sent him his check.  We are considering this file closed and resolved.Tell us why here...

This is a lie. At time of repo you said it was reposed for lack of insurance coverage is false. Today I came to your office at approximately 11 am paid in full the balance of the vehicle to prevent any further interaction with your company. The president of the company Bruce [redacted], came to the front told me I did not matter nor does he care and he did what he had to do. He was rude, arrogant and unprofessional. You took the car under false pretenses. Stated I filed bankruptcy, and that means what???? Under bankruptcy law you had to be included. Although I filed bankruptcy I still attempted to make payments and I was told I could not until the discharge. The day of the discharge, unknown to me because I received notice as to the exact minute. As the bankruptcy was dismissed the next day you reposed the car and forced all back payments back in May this year. Tuesday you took it again, told me it was for no insurance coverage, which was a lie. Today you took the full balance for the car and never asked me if the car was covered or not. What you did was illegal, and dishonest. You took the car under false pretenses to recoup the rest of the balance. Just be honest. As a president of a company and call me into an office and yell at me in front of your employees and make me feel bad cause I filed bankruptcy is also illegal. I am a professional and not a street person and I have rights. What you did was wrong and I am going to make sure that the public know about your illegal and unpractical practices. You harrassed me in the presence of your staff today to the point I felt I needed to call the police. These are not fair and legal practices. I want your entire business practices throughly investigated and all your business practices investigated. There is something really wrong and illegal at your office.

As stated in previous replies, we have notified her by both mail and phone after the car was repossessed due to the account going into default for non-payment. Furthermore, she confirmed this notice when she called inquiring about her vehicle. Although we have responded to [redacted]’s requests already and complied with all out of state statute regarding notice of sale, we will send out an additional copy of her account information to the address we have on file. ([redacted]) If she is still unsatisfied she can feel free to contact our office ([redacted]) and we will be more than happy to send her the documents via mail, email, fax, or any other reasonable form of communication.

Complaint: 10837855
I am rejecting this response because, we have picture and new quotes to repair all damage caused ** The Grout Doctor. The tiles in the base of the shower stall are damaged and deeply scuffed and scratched. According to the new marble restoration contractor the damage may not come out and the tiles may have to be replaced. We are still working to get a back up estimate for the damages done ** The Grout Doctor. At the time TGD was at our home I had call Mr. E** and advised him to personally come see the damage to which he refused. He has not personally seen what his laborer did. There is now clear silicon all over the glass and not just in the corners. The grout that was replaced in the closet entrance was not even close to the samples I provided. Carpet aside good or bad should not have been installed under the tiles. The tile in the Closet is in perfect condition and wasn't being replaced. When TGD left our premises after each visit the bathroom was left in worse condition then when they showed up. The work quality was very poor and not to scope we were promised. This case can go on and on with he said she said, however we have the evidence to prove the damage and show what was done after they came to clean the stains. Never was it expressed that TGD didn't want to reinstall the loose tiles. Had this been explained we would have hired a professional contractor. In the follow week we have researched this contractor via a local neighborhood blog and found this to be very common practice and found many other unhappy clients in the Agoura Hills area. Again if proof or names of other unhappy clients are needed I can furnish that as well.
Our first quote to repair the damage was $950 and we are not sure they will be able to solve all new issues.

This is a complete fabrication and totally inaccurate account of the project. Went the clients residence and look at a number of issues.  There was staining on shower marble floor, fracture cracks on the bathroom floor and three small tiles had come loose on the entrance to closet. On the...

floor cracking I expressed concern that the tiles were not properly installed and movement had caused the stress fracturing.  Repairing this was not something I wanted to untake.  With the three tiles that had come loose, no big deal.  These are small 1x1.  I also mentioned.  By the way these are not "white marble", they have grey veins running through them. I also believed the grout was delorean grey non-sanded throughout, and was stated to the client. With the shower I said I would try to remove the stain using a deep stone cleaner, but was unsure if this would be successful.  I explained that if we could not remove it we would adjust the price. We also discussed if the marble and grout had been sealed. He believed it was but was uncertain and had no idea of type or manufacture.  It was agreed that we would reseal  everything using Miracle 511.At the very end the customer showed some cracking of grout where the counter tops and backsplash meet and were the floor and dam step meet. Agreed we would caulk those, white on the counters and delorean grey on the floor.  Finally the customer mentioned that there seemed to be some leakage on the enclosure base.  I looked closely at it could not see any meaningful gaps, but said we would run a light bead of clear silicon along the edge.  I also pointed out that there was clear silicon on the glass from the intial installation. We returned two days later reinstalled the loose tiles, plus one additional tile.  Caulked the counters, which I did and the floor/dam seams.  This work was performed after we applied the stone cleaner(s).  First we used StonePro Stone Cleaner which removed some of dirt and oils.  There was still a yellow stain in 3 locations.  We then used Aquamix Heavy Duty Cleaner  3 applications.  Same results.  Showed this to the client and they were not satisfied.  I then said I would use an oil stain remover from  StoneTech and see if it would work.  I have used this product previously and it has worked.  It was explained that it had to set over night and that my associate would return the next morning, which was a Saturday, to remove it.  I said I could not be there due to other commitments.  We made an accommodation to come back around noon so they could go to their children's soccer games.   The extractor was applied and the short walls and seat area were sealed.Tom my associate returned on Saturday removed the extractor. It did remove some the yellow stain.  After reviewing this with the customer it was decided to do another application and return on Sunday at their request. During this time frame and on Sunday morning Tom and I were in communication with each other and everything seems to be ok.  Revived a phone message from the client late Sunday morning.  Called back and said he had mainly called because Tom had not arrived when he had called but was there working then.  At this point the client mentioned the color problem, the silicone issue, the rug issue and caulk haze on  the counters.  I talked with the client and said we would come back on Monday and change the grout color, the silicone would be looked at and Tom could clean the counters right then.  That was agreed to.I spoke later with my associate and he said the client was satisfied with what the extractor had done with the yellow stain. It was not perfect but 80%/90% and the client was ok  and happy.  I rearranged my calender for that Monday and was prepared to pickup a lighter grey grout caulk and change the color.  Then I received another message cancelling Monday with the client saying he was going to get his original tile contractor to come in to look at the situation and the glass enclosure contactor.  We would then determine what the next step would be.  I contacted the client on Tuesday simply asking how he wanted to proceed with the project.  That is when everything went to hell. The client was actually asking if I wanted to take legal action against him and if so our agreement mentions arbitration as the venue. I replied no, if the client was that dissatisfied I would just except the loss and move on.  That was the last I heard from him.  Sorry but I do not believe we did anything wrong and did no damage to any of the tiles.  We only sealed the walls and seat area.  The shower floor is the only area that was cleaned and that was with standard cleaners and products using standard industry scrub pads. There was never any mention of the tiles being scratched , which we could have taken care of and would have done if we had damage the tiles in anyway.  I carry polishing pads with me at all times. The other issues, grout color and rug are simple fixes.  I will also mention the carpet is very old and dirty and was to be replaced.  This client was not charged for any of the work performed and got what he wanted a “No Cost Solution” to a problem of the previous tile contractor.   [redacted]The Groctor Doctor

I am rejecting this response because:
From the beginning stages Thirft was 100% aggressive, poor customer service, and negligent to all the following...Name calling, hanging up phone calls, never answering the questions I KINDLY asked, transferring me from one person to another person to get hung up all the time from angry man named B[redacted] who is the president of the company. Furthermore, being that My social security number was attached to a auto loan, I am by all legal rights allowed to request and receive the following statements, payoffs, and paperwork to show if my loan is still actively open or closed.  This is not an issue with the credit bureaus, however if Thirft wants me to, I will mail to the 3 bureaus all phone call recordings of all their staff name calling me, threatening me, and calling me a [redacted]!!  In addition, I have GoGel Auto Sales Manager who was also privy to the name calling, racist callings, and hanging up calls.  So it is not just myself who has proof of this major issue.  Its amazing a bank or private lender, whatever they call themselves is so hostile, racist, and commits threats against their customers.  PLEASE SEND ME AND OR GOGEL AUTO SALES MY LOAN THAT DISCLOSES IT IS CANCELLED OR PAID OFF, OR I WILL BE FORCED TO FILE SEVERAL ACCOUNTS AGAINST B[redacted] AND THIS COMPANY.

To whom it may concern:   We have read this statement, and we are waiting for post office to return the items to us. We will wait for 30 days to make our decision.

We invited you into our office and Bruce never said that you didn't matter all he was saying is that you do not have a loan with us your bankruptcy got discharged. It is under bankruptcy code that we do not call you while the case is still open. We tried to explain to Ms. [redacted] that her attorney was supposed to go over all of this with her which she admitted he didn't. No one from our office said anything about insurance being the reason for her repossession the second time around. She defaulted her contract and failed to keep up with lien payments, as her attorney should have advised her to do since they did not reaffirm the asset. Bruce and I tried to have a casual conversation with her to explain the reasoning for everything and she immediately became defensive saying why does it matter whether she was bankrupt or not. Upon trying to further explain she kept reiterating "just give me the [redacted] title so I can leave" causing us to be taken aback. She refused to have a conversation about the situation so we can explain the federal bankruptcy code to her but, again, all she wanted was "her [redacted] title"

This customer’s vehicle was repossessed because they were past due on their payments for two months. Also, our company was unable to verify the customer’s insurance due to a pending cancelation at that time. Thrift Investment Corporation is not responsible for any damages or repairs. We advised...

this customer to contact the dealership where they purchased the vehicle. This account is currently in default of their contractual agreement, and payment arrangements need to be set up.

Thrift Investment Corporation has done everything this consumer has requested as we stated previously. Our company changed her due date to the 28th, as she requested. The payment records [redacted] overnighted were picked up on the same day they were delivered to the post office, and her account was updated accordingly. The man she is referring to as Eric Gallant, does not work in our office and is employed at the Post Office, which is why no one here has any knowledge of him. Our company is available to answer any questions or concerns customers may have Monday-Friday from 9:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. Our company will waive the consumer’s March 28th, 2016 late fee charge, as soon as the payment is made. At this time, our company cannot state that all of the consumer’s payments are up to date, because she is in default for her March 2016 payment. If she has any questions or concerns she can feel free to contact me, [redacted] at [redacted]

There is no forty day policy at Thrift Investment as you simply defaulted in your Retail Installment Contract you signed upon financing the car. No one said anything about 40 days, all they said was we couldn't wait until the middle of August for a payment. Therefore, the repossession was not...

incorrect.
