This is a sewage issue unrelated to our basement waterproofing systemAs for not responding to your calls, *** *** made a special trip to your home last week to review the situation againHis conclusion was that the basement waterproofing system we installed almost years ago had nothing to
do with the sewage backup in your home

There was an agreed upon scope of work that the outcome would be a warranted basement for the lifetime of structureThe work we do will work regardless of trial landscaping or hypothetical reasons why it is leaking.Regardless of landscaping issues or “sink holes” the system that was agreed upon to
be installed would work no matter whatThere was not a mis-assesment and regardless of what happened on the outside, the basement was to remain dry. The homeowner wanted this and we signed a contractThe labor, material, and scheduling all ensued, costing real dollars, hence the cancellation fee of 20%. However, we agreed to refund the 20% just NOT immediately. The walls do not have to be “down” to assess where the point of entry of the water isIt is obvious that the water was entering at the floor wall joint. It is also obvious that even after the homeowner fixes the sink hole, or landscapes, that our system will be neededIf the water entered there before it will enter there againWe already spent all the money to prepare for the job and are absolutely certain that they need the solution prescribed. The day recision was clearly disclosed on our proposalThe job was scheduled, material was brought in to do job, and labor allottedWe followed the contract to the letter of the law

Ms***,We sincerely apologize for the situation describedPlease know that it is in no way the way we intend to conduct our businessIt was a series of mistakes on several levels and we appreciate you making us aware of the scenario so that those involved can be better trained and/or
reprimandedPlease reach our to us if you have not received your refund within the next few days as it was issued last week. Thanks for your support, ***

[We will never do business with Busy Dog or any of your affiliates after the way we have been treated at ALL levels of the company-- starting with the President all the way down to *** who did the assessment ( who btw, we learned was FIRED shortly after we canceled the job)That alone says enough about the situation and the type of company this isMy husband had to come to your office to request our money and requested to speak with the President ( who ? everyone said was the big boss) but he never came out of the roomInstead he used his people to communicate the news to me that: Busy Dog would refund us $1,in one check, and $in another and for some reason, which by the way no one could explain, they were going to hold our $1,until June 2017.In the letter they gave us, they said they would give the $1,back to us IF we decided we did not want to have any work done by Busy DogLet me be crystal clear and say it again, as my husband said in person to *** *** and *** ***: WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH BUSY DOG.We will continue to pursue legal avenues to collect our remaining $1,unless it can be resolved here.? ]

Mr***,Thank you for your original interest in installing a generator from 1-800-BUSYDOG, we truly appreciate your business.? Last winter certainly took a toll on all installations, and with the coordination of the inspector in regards to placement, that took a little time as
well.? We had an appointment moved several times due to the snow, and did appreciate your patience and willingness to move forward.? When the weather was ready to cooperate, we had received word from our project manager Jeremy that you were moving and not going forward with the generator.? This was translated to the General Sales Manager who also determined you were moving and not having the generator installed, but where all the preliminary work was done, perhaps the new owners would want to take it over.? That is the last we have? heard, and there are no notes or memos regarding a call for a refund.? Iapologize for any confusion, and we would be glad to process a refund for you

Mr. [redacted],Thank you for your original interest in installing a generator from 1-800-BUSYDOG, we truly appreciate your business.  Last winter certainly took a toll on all installations, and with the coordination of the inspector in regards to placement, that took a little time as...

well. We had an appointment moved several times due to the snow, and did appreciate your patience and willingness to move forward.  When the weather was ready to cooperate, we had received word from our project manager Jeremy that you were moving and not going forward with the generator.  This was translated to the General Sales Manager who also determined you were moving and not having the generator installed, but where all the preliminary work was done, perhaps the new owners would want to take it over.  That is the last we have heard, and there are no notes or memos regarding a call for a refund.  Iapologize for any confusion, and we would be glad to process a refund for you.

Ms. [redacted],We sincerely apologize for the situation described. Please know that it is in no way the way we intend to conduct our business. It was a series of mistakes on several levels and we appreciate you making us aware of the scenario so that those involved can be better trained and/or...

reprimanded. Please reach our to us if you have not received your refund within the next few days as it was issued last week. Thanks for your support, [redacted]

Mr. [redacted],We apologize for your calls not being returned in a timely manner.  We commit and pride ourselves on our customer service, which in turn stands behind all of our products and services.  We, as you referred to, had a storm, a nor’ easter, which took out power for many of our...

customers.  The troubleshooting, phone calls, service appointments scheduled and serviced were on overload to say the least.  We are truly sorry if your return call did not happen as it should have.  We do see you had a stallion battery backup (BBU) installed on June 8, 2017 to your existing system, (existing system not installed by 1-800-BUSYDOG Basement Technologies).  Your warranty on the installed BBU is one year from date of installation.  To continue a lifetime warranty, this BBU would need to be serviced annually by our company, 1-800-BUSYDOG Basement Technologies. In regards to your repair call/troubleshooting call for the BBU unit, I do see your appointment was set up for Friday, March 9th , 2017.  Our technician [redacted] came to your home and found the unit to be working.  The power came back on and recharged the battery so in testing it showed functional.  The unit worked when your power went out as you refer to above, however, the unit will only work as long as the battery lasts.  It is a deep cycle battery, but once it drains, the stallion battery backup unit will no longer work, and the pump will no longer run.  For prolonged power outages, we also recommend generators.  Please don’t hesitate to call our office with any questions.  Thank you, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #[redacted]. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. I accepted this response from the business but for the record just wanted to state that they are supposed to perform the work here at my home on May 5,2017 and hopefully it will be satisfactory. I still am having a bad time trying to acquire fore my records the new paperwork describing the work they are going to perform. They told me last week they had [redacted] issues and I told them I understood but I am still waiting for an email with the exact paperwork because the text attachment they sent me was not legible. I have told them that but still have not received the paperwork by email yet.
