Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***,
and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI met with the general manager (Joe W***) of the business today and he still denies the business did the damageI told him there is absolutely no way they could have been caused by anything other than the car washThe scratches were not there prior to entering the car wash and were there upon exiting the car wash...unless magic is a real thing and they just happened to magically appear while the car was being washed...my car is garage kept, driven by only me, and is on camera 24/at home and at workThere is absolutely no way these scratches were not caused by the car washI still feel the business is responsible and can't believe they'd rather lose two customers rather than make an effort to fix the damage their business caused. For reference, I attached a photo of the damage done to my carIt is very hard to photograph the damage and is much more visible in personI tried my best to outline it in red. Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.I doubt very much that the video shows much of anythingI will be asking to see it of course. The damage to my vehicle is not great but should not have happened at allI have been through this car wash many, many times.I was in the vehicle they were notI know what I felt and it was what alarmed me to the possibility of something happening to my car.My running board was bent upward at the front on the right sideIf the employee had taken the picture at an angle that shows this damageit may have helped to get this resolved soonerIt is also likely that the camera footage will not show the correct angle for this type of damage.Nothing like this has ever happened for years at this locationI do not know if any changes were made before the reopening but the washdid bend my running boardSince this has been handled poorly from the start, I will have to wait till Thanksgiving to show them the damage.I cannot say that I accept their response.Regards,

We can certainly understand Mr*** concerns on the car rentalWhen looking into this further and watching the vehicle go through the carwash you can see that the rear bumper does not come off until it enters our blower room; which is a alarming to us especially since we washed over vehicles that day and had no other rear bumper issuesWe still believe for this to happen that there was prior damage to the ***'s rear bumperThis vehicle unforuately is a rental car where we don't know how it has been handled or what it has been through with prior drivers. As a Goodwill gesture we would be willing to work with Mr*** on his unlimited wash pass if he so chooses to do and also reimburse him for his $wash; but we would not take liability for the rear bumper damage. The point of a pre-existing issue with the rear bumper is moot, because there is no way to tell that there was, in fact, damage to the rear bumperThe only evidence available, is a documented visual inspection from the *** branch manager and myself when the vehicle's rental agreement was signed, and your video evidence that the bumper cover was, in fact, connected and in it's proper placeGranted, neither I nor the *** manager are mechanics, but I'm pretty sure that we would have noticed if the bumper cover was falling off...My largest concern, is that I had to pay my insurance deductable ($500) and my rates are going to go up due to an insurance payout for damages, all for something that I had zero fault inHow is this fair? I'll answer for you...it's not!On top of your "goodwill gesture", I demand that you accept responsibility for the damage that your equipment did to ***'s rental car and reimburse my insurance deductableLike it or not, the damage occured on your premises, by way of your equipment. The physical evidence is stacked against you, Mike's

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

We believe the best resolution to this matter would be arbitration as we don't see us coming to an agreement on thisThank you

Your employee is correct. The prep gun was in the holder because after getting wet trying to grab it while it was whipping around I went to the control panel and hit the stop switch. I then picked it up and placed it in the holder and went directly to the office to make the complaint. I would not expect anyone to admit to a repair or replacement of the equipment as that would imply liability. I would invite you to simulate this "impossible whipping around" action that I describe by securing the trigger on the prep gun in the "on" position and then turning on the high pressure rinse so that it is spraying at full pressure. I assure you I didn't make this up. I am not in the habit of trying to ripoff car washes in order to get free body work. There's an old saying "don't get in a pissing contest with a skunk". I'm finished with this complaint and it will be resolved through my insurance company.
Have a good day,

We are having our General Manager, Joe Wallace contact Mr*** to set up a scheduled meeting to take a further look at this with themThank you,Mike's Carwash

Our Area Director, *** *** did place a call to *** on February 2, at *** to further discuss this with her and has not heard back from ***If *** would like to contact Mr*** he can be reached at ***We understand her desired settlement but do not
agree with this and would be willing to arbitrate this matterThank you,Mike's Carwash

Mr***, we appreciate your response and understand your frustrationWe also know being in the car washing business since 1948 and washing hundreds and hundreds of vehicles, our equipment is designed to clean vehicles safely and without incidentBeing that both of your driver's side tires go thru the same identical equipment and you had no damage to your rear tire we have a hard time coming to terms that we caused this damageAgain, we want to be fair and let you know that our offer to have an Area Director meet with you still stands.Thank you

We certainly apologize that Mrand Mrs*** are getting these phones callsAs of today we have done everything that we can on our endAll of our current websites, Google, Yelp, Yp.com and our advertising ads has our correct phone numbers for our Evansville
locationThe only thing we might suggest is that they would reach out to their phone service provider to remedy this issueThank you

Unfortuately when customers come back at a later time, which Ms*** came back days after claiming her sensor was damagedIt is very hard to determine liabilityAlso, the vehicle was already repaired making it even harder to determine any type of responsibilityThe customer had
mentioned that it was water intrusion and a broken clipWater intrusion could be possible from driving or the weather elements. The clips for this bumper sensor is inside of the bumper which our carwash cannot accessFor these reasons we do not feel we are liable. We are always willing to arbitrate this matter.Thank you,Mike's Carwash

We certainly understand Mr*** concerns being he had just purchased his vehicleThe explanation that I told Mr*** is there are waxes that can be apply to vehicles to help with certain type of scratchesI mentioned this to him to let him know that when taking the vehicle through the
first time that these type of things can come off through the carwashI am not applying that this is what happened it was just a suggestionAlso, I explained that the scratches we are seeing on his vehicle do not match the consistency and pattern of how our equipment would go over his vehicle. We clearly are not seeing eye to eye on this incident and for this reason we would be willing to arbitrate this with the customer.Thank you for your time and help in this matter

Mr*** did file a claim with us on Sunday, May 14th concerning damage to his drivers side mirrorWe always try to work with the customer and be fair and in this case we did have our Area Director and Manager meet with Mr***They could not come to an agreement; we did offer to work with him
but the customer said that if we could not pay for the entire damage he was not interestedWe believe that if we had done this damage it would have damaged the entire mirror not just one little section of removing the paint off of the mirrorAgain, we would be willing to work with them but are not interested in replacing the entire mirror or paying for the entire damage when we know we are not responsible for this.Thank you,Mike's Carwash

Our General Manager, Joe *** has reached out to Mr*** and will be meeting with him this coming Thursday to take a further look at his vehicle.Thank you,Mike's Carwash

We will go ahead and honor Mr***'s wishes and get his insurance deductable of $paid out to him along with reimbursement of his $wash.Thank you,Mike's Carwash

We have attached the picture of the damage Ms*** is claiming occurred from this incidentIt is a dent that is located approximately feet up on her vehicle's passenger side rear towards the back windowWe understand she is stating that the prep gun was laying on the ground opposite
of where the damage she is claiming, when she started adding money into the machineThere is not enough pressure for this metal wand to be lifted up four feet off the ground and to place only one dent into the vehicleYes, it would move but not enough pressure to lift it up in the airWe would always be willing to meet with her and reenact this scenario with Mrs*** to let her visually see what we are indicating.Thank you

Revdex.com:I do not accept this resolution to the damage done to my car by Mike's Car WashWhen I called about the letter I received, stating that they wouldn't fix my car, they informed me that the video showed I was in reverse on the conveyorThe response sent to the Revdex.com does not state thatI don't think I could have even gotten on the conveyor belt if I was in reverseI spoke with a mechanic and he said I would not have been able to get on itI feel they should pay to repair my mirror as Mike's Car Wash's facility did the damage to my carThis business is widely known, and I thought they would treat their customers more fairly
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
Regards,
*** ***

The video footage also shows her vehicle in reverse at the exit end of the carwash in our blower section but this is not what caused the damage to her vehicleIt was when she was applying brakes at our side wraps inside the carwash tunnel that caused the damage to her mirrorWhen watching the footage you can see her doing both thingsMy solution would be for her to watch this video footage. Thank you

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Regards,
*** *** Just more wasted timeThe only way to come to resolution is to go to court to have someone actually look at the facts since the company is in complete denial of liability even after witnessing the machine damage my vehicleEven denial letter states that I would have similar damage on other rims, which I do have and theywon't even take that into considerationI hope they do not receive a good score from the Revdex.com because they haven't even made an attempt to resolve the issueThey have done nothing but deny any fault and won't even take the facts into considerationLegal will be taken in the near future

We have reached out to Mr*** and have set up an appointment with him to meet with our Area Director, Charles *** for this coming Monday, June 12, to further discuss thisThank you,Mike's Cawwash
