I signed a nonbinding agreement in good faith I paid all my fees up front which I was promised could be paid in three installments (this was false)
I met with the sales rep at my town home to go over what would be stored with his company I owned an 1,sq foot place I was given an agreement to sign and we entered into a contract I was told that I could pay in three installment, (1) one before packing (2) after packing (3) when goods were delivered for the price on the contract The three set payments The day of the move, I received a call from the billing department regarding payment, I explained what I was told from the sales rep, and I was told this was false The billing agent said that there is no such thing So, I made a payment Afterwhich, I was harassed daily to make another payment, when I said I needed two weeks I made another payment within the two weeks, then I was told that the bill was now another $5K more While talking to the nice billing lady, Ebon

My issue has to do with *** H., who wrote the estimate on October for my move from Los Angeles to Palm Springs, and Tom Sat the Bekins location I used.Upon the movers' arrival to my apartment, they almost wondered if they were at the correct addressThey seemed confused by the itemized sheet as it did not seem to conform to what they saw in my apartmentThey also noted there were two flights of stairs, not one as as noted on the sheetThe biggest issue, though, was the estimated weight of 3,poundsThey quickly determined that the weight would greatly exceed that figure and I was put in the awkward position of either signing the agreement to pay the excess weight or just not move (which was not an option since I had to be out of the apartment by the 16th).As it turns out, the final weight came to 5,poundsI should note however, and unknown to David, that I took three carloads of boxes to Palm Springs (some valuable books, some pictures, etc.) prior to November 15, whi

Hired Bekins A-Moves to move my parents home from Addison, IL to Joliet, IL on June 13, When they arrived the driver asked me if the supervisor (Angelo) had sent anyone out to do an estimate because the truck the brought was too smallI told him no, the only estimate given was over the phoneIt was supposed to be men but it only ended up being but the job got doneBecause it was so late the driver stated that it was typical that the crew received a cash tip (which was never stated by the supervisor Angelo)My dad paid them $each and the driver (Andre) still didn't seem too happy with thatLater that night we noticed a hole in our wall where they were trying to get something to the basement and pushed the door too hard and the knob put a hole in the doorThe banister going to the basement was rubbed and scratchedAlso, a mirror was bustedMy dad called Angelo SEVERAL time and he would't answer or return the callI finally decided to call him and he answeredHe

On the Contract for Services
form that the customer submitted, the Basic Liability box is checked, and it is signed at the bottom of the form by the customer. There is also a form signed by the customer entitled the estimated Cost of Services. this form outlines the coverages available to the customer at the time the goods were picked up for storage. A copy is attached. As you can see by the form, the customer waived Full Replacement Valuation Coverage, and released the goods at $per pound, per article. She initialed that selection. This formed the basis for our settlement. While we regret that this matter could not be handled to the customer's satisfaction, we feel that we have adequately settled this matter, based upon the valuation selected by the customer

My 45" Panasonic Plasma Television (approximate value $1000) was delivered to me cracked I also stored a gallon jug full of loose change and rolls of dollars The jug was approximately 3/full (approximately $1,in coins and rolled up dollars) The jug of change was stored along with the rest of my belongings but was never delivered to me after it was stored I asked if the jug is still in the storage unit and they claim the jug is not there and was never even inventoried! I've asked several times for a claim form to be sent to me however, they refuse to until the balance is rectified It is very upsetting to pay a balance for a move that resulted in my items being damaged and missing The damage to my items and my missing jug of money was more than the price of the move Also, the company raised prices of the storage and charged me more than was originally quoted
