This has not been resolved because they have taken my money and gave me nothing in return.  Now they say they are going out of business as of Oct [redacted] 2016.I want a full refund.  They have done nothing for me in the last 8 months.  Just return my money and let me get another attorney of my own.

to fruition  shortly.

Review: I have been considering filing for bankruptcy for a several months now. Late 2013 I called an employee assistance hotline which referred me to this company. Now when I first spoke with them I gave them basic information about my debt. I was told that it appeared that I would qualify for a chapter 7 Bankruptcy. No payments were made and no services were requested at the time. I would get a phone call from the company about once a month asking if I would like start the process. Each time I would tell them I needed to think about it. Each time they treated me very well and treated me very respectfully.

June [redacted] of 2014 I receive a call from the company. We discuss the situation. I decided to move forward with the Bankruptcy and have the company do it for me. Payment arrangements are discussed. Before I give out my bank information I ask If the total amount was for everything. I was told yes and that an email will be sent to me within the next day or two for me to go over and review. Bank Information is given as well as a $500 payment. A payment plan is agreed upon.

June [redacted] of 2014 I receive the email with contact information and the retainer agreement. I read the agreement and found that my payment plan did not include the filling fee and a counseling course. All of which would add approximately $400 cost to me.

I take the weekend to discuss the information with family. I call to clarify the information the next Monday. I was told that the person I worked with will call me once they are available. I send an email that night stating that I no longer wish to have them prepare my bankruptcy and that I would like my money back. I receive a call the next morning. I'm am told that they would be willing to assist with these extra fees with payment plans. I at this time state that I did not wish to continue to receive services and that I would like my money back. They refuse stating that a recored verbal agreement was made. I at this time tell them that I signed no written agreement and that I would like my money back. I am told that they have already put time into my case and that they do not do this for free. No refund is offered. I explained that I would be filling a complaint and the conversation as over. No other contact has been made.

Now during this phone conversation voices may had been raised on both sides. At no time were they disrespectfulDesired Settlement: I sent a written cancelation of service via Email. I canceled the service request over the phone within 5 business days. I would like a full refund of the $500 payment.

Response:

I have read [redacted]s complaint. The confusion seems to be that [redacted] was not clear that the courts charge a fee in addition to any legal fees. As well a counseling course is required by law in order to file for bankruptcy. Our staff is trained to disclose these fees. As well all paperwork discloses fees in complete detail. In any event, regardless of the where the confusion stems from we will be issuing a full refund to [redacted] along with our apologies for the confusion.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

BK Legal Net services has contacted me and apologized for any confusion. They informed me that they will be sending a full refund in the mail. Once I receive the refund I will consider the matter resolved.

Review: BK Net Systems failed to get an attorney representation here in my district to represent me filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. There was an agreement signed back in March 2014 stating my responsibility to submit documentation and there obligation to have me represented once there fee of $1,600 was paid. I have been summons to court by one of my creditors in the process of all this back in August. The full balance was paid off in July to BK Net Systems, since then I've made numerous calls wanting to know why they haven't found an attorney in my area to represent me. I had spoken with on [redacted] on Oct. [redacted] and she stated that the attorney in the [redacted] area won't return her phone calls and basically there isn't no one else in my region. I stressed how I had to borrow monies from family members and my retirement to help get out of this debt I accumulated since my separation. When I asked for a full refund [redacted] stated that I would only get $500 back because they started my case. I asked them several times what attorney here in the Memphis area will be representing the case and they kept reassuring me that that have that already lined up. I am frustrated and sick because I trusted them to stick with there agreement just as well as I have done.Desired Settlement: I'm requesting my full refund back.

Review: I have called BK Net Systems on many occasions r equesting information about my bankruptcy. Every time I call the person handling my case is at lunch and will call me back when they return. They never call me back. I have not even received a case number or a lawyer. They've been processing my case since August of 2014.Desired Settlement: I want them to either refund me my money or finish handling my case. Im already not happy about having to file for bankruptcy but this is my last option. I want this to be over and done with so I can move on and start rebuilding my life.

Response:

Dear [redacted],We have spoken to [redacted] and she will be continuing with our bankruptcy services. [redacted]'s concern was not being able to contact us so we made sure that she has our phone number and email address of the staff working on her case. It turns out that [redacted] was not receiving our calls or voice mails we left for her. [redacted] is working on getting us the required information we need to complete her case.Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The information in that email was not correct. Prior to me making the complaint no one tried to reach out to me. I did miss a message from them but it was because I was in class and we are not allowed to have our phones in class. I also didnt see the message because my phone was malfunctioning. My case is being worked on NOW so Im satisfied BUT I wanted to make sure that the truth was revealed. Thank you Revdex.com because without you I would still be waiting.

Review: My wife and I received information from this company through the mail early in 2014. Our bills were overwelming us due to a loss of income. We contacted BK Net about consolidation. After talking with the company it was determined that would should fill bankruptcy. We set up a payment plan and furnished all documents they requested. In August of 2014 we paid in full of an amount of $1,695. Our bankruptcy could move forward at this time. We completed a course online for a pre bankruptcy. We had to pay more money for this course. BK told us that they were sending all the information that we gave to be reviewed so a petition could be made. Month after month passed. BK kept telling us that it was being reviewed and they needed more updated information. We complied with what they requested. BK then told us we had a lawyer and they would be contacting us. After a month or so of no contact from a lawyer I again contacted BK. They stated they had talked a female in the lawyers office and that they would contact them again to contact me. Well I went behind BK and called the lawyers office. They had no idea who BK was and they had no information on me or my wife. I contacted BK and they stated that they would look into it. BK came back with saying that the lawyer who agreed to take our bankruptcy left the firm. I found this as a coincidence knowing what I did know. But I agreed to let BK resume looking for a lawyer to take our case. At this point we are well into 2015. Again BK states they need more information. We comply with what they ask and they said that they were good and would find us a lawyer. They said it was not easy to find a lawyer to take our case. I live in one of the biggest military regions on the east coast with so many lawyer firms that its not funny. I stated ok please find a lawyer. After some time BK again said they found a lawyer and that they would be in contact with me. After some time with no contact from the supposed lawyer I contacted BK. They stated that was ridiculous and they would contact the lawyer for me. Again time passed by. I went behind BK and called the lawyer they told me had my case. Again this second lawyer stated they had never heard of BK and had nothing with my name on it. I left my name and number with the lawyer for them to call me back because I was going to have BK contact them. I contacted BK again. They stated that no thats not true and that they would contact the lawyer and have everything set up. After this I received no phone call from the lawyer and I received no phone call from BK. All I got was another email stating that they need all this additional information. This was august of 2015. One of the things they apparently needed was 2014 taxes. They also needed more paperwork from everything we had already submitted to them. I have all emails that were exchanged. On multiple occasions I would call BK and leave a message with a person for someone to call me back. I would not get calls back. Emails would go unanswered for a long time. I felt this company has lied to me and tried to take my money. They are always coming up with excuses and always needing something else. I tried to do what they asked. I know this is not a speedy thing to do. But what should have taken 6 months to do from start to finish has not even come close to even beginning. After the last email with the company I did not reply to it. I had to take time away from this so that I would not become upset. After calling today 2/*/16 I was told I could only get a refund for $500. But of course a supervisor was busy. I was told I still had to produce documents for the bankruptcy. The person I was talking to was not familiar with my case. I have spoken to many different employees of BK with no satisfied response or game plan. I had to leave a message for them to call me back. And just as I expected I received no call back. I could keep going on and on about my interactions with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $1695.00. I do not wish to do business with BK Net. I have not received any kind of product or service other than frustration. BK Net did not follow through with the agreement of finding a lawyer and the time that has passed is unacceptable.

In regards to Complaint #[redacted]We have spoken to the client at length. It's difficult to argue with his assessment of how things went. Unfortunately, our services are to provide paralegal support to local attorneys for clients. We provided those services however two separate attorneys seemed to drop the ball on this file.. We have apologized to the [redacted]. All that being said the "buck" does stop with us as we were the point of contact and and this should have been expedited.. We have agreed to issue a refund in full and wish [redacted] and his family the best.. -- Rich M[redacted]BK Net Systems Inc.Office: ###-###-#### Fax: ###-###-#### email: [redacted]

Review: I filed with BKnet over a year ago, and have yet to complete the bankruptcy process. After months of going back and forth sending (and re-sending information), in August I was informed that BKNetsystems was preparing the petition, which would take two months, which would then be sent to a SC bankruptcy attorney, who would then complete the bankruptcy process. When I had not heard from anyone in over two months, I called BKNetsystems last week. I was informed that I needed to send more updated bank and income information (I'd been sending this information since the beginning of 2015). The person I spoke with had not explanation as to why the petition had not been started, and would only say that I needed to send in updated income and bank information from June/July to the present. I don't understand why nothing has been done, nor why I would need to continue to send updated information.Desired Settlement: I do not want to send in additional information. I have completed payment for the bankruptcy, except for the final court fees, and simply want the bankruptcy petition completed and submitted to a local attorney, so that we can complete the bankruptcy process.

Business

Response:

Unfortunately filing for bankruptcy relief is a stressful event. It is not the policy of BK Net Systems to request updated documents but rather a requirement of the court.. That being said we are sensitive to the fact that the client has been very patient. We have spoken with the client and explained the importance of providing the updated documents which she agreed to do.. We have expedited this file and it is with the local attorney for filing.

Review: I began working with BK Net Systems in May 2013. I sent the last payment for lawyer fees 9/*/13 with the business cashing that check on 9/*/13. Since that time I have called BK Net Systems on the following dates for an update on my case, as I had not received any update about when I would meet with a local lawyer to sign documents so they could be filed with the court. I called them on 10/*/13 and was told my case was sent to 'doc prep' and for me to call them in 1 week if I didn't hear from them (I didn't hear from them). I called 11/*/13 and was told an attorney was reviewing my case. I called them 11/**/13 and was told that an attorney was reviewing my case. I called them 11/**/13 and was told an attorney was reviewing my case and will contact me in a couple of days (I didn't hear from anyone). I called them 11/**/13 and was told I 'should hear from a lawyer next week' (I didn't hear from a lawyer). I emailed them 12/*/13 asking for an update on my case with no response as of 12/**/13. I called them 12/**/13 and was told my case was "not going to be done in a timely fashion by the lawyer in NC" so they were getting a new attorney to handle my case. Each time I called BK Net Systems they were cordial, however, I wanted my bankruptcy filing to be completed before going into 2014, and it seems that is not going to be possible. I am very upset that I paid BK Net Systems $2600 in September 2013 and have not had a resolution to my case as of 12/**/13.Desired Settlement: I want my bankruptcy case filed and a court date established. Filing bankruptcy has been a very emotional and difficult thing to pursue and I want to end this turmoil and start my life fresh, but I can't do that if my case is not filed with the court system. I feel that paying the high cost of lawyer fees by September 2013 has given BK Net Systems enough time to prepare my documents and have them filed with the court system as of 12/**/13.

Business

Response:

After conferring with local counsel, it has been determined that based on specific local regulations specific to her district that it would be in the best interest of the client to work directly with local counsel.

Review: I paid BK Net $2066 on 3/**/13 to represent me for bankruptcy. As requested I completed all forms and sent all documentation and completed the course required. I was told by BK net staff that they had everything they needed from me by 5/*/13. I have been told multiple times that my case is in "documents prep" and that it would be "a couple of weeks" before I would get a filing number. At this time it is clear that they have not even filed for bankruptcy for me despite having everything including my payment in full for more than 3 months. During my original call to the agency I was told the whole process would take 2-3 months and the only delays that would happen were if I did not pay or I did not provide them with information. In total I have been engaged in this process for 5 months and would like it to be over.Desired Settlement: At this point I would like my money back. I no longer trust that BK net will handle my bankruptcy since they have not done anything for 5 months other than take my money and send me a link to take an online course. I want to be able to hire another lawyer with the money I have already paid BK net. Please note I checked out BK net on Revdex.com prior to engaging them and in part selected them because they had a rating of A-.

Response:

Dear [redacted]

Regarding: Complaint [redacted]

This is disheartening and puzzling!

BK Net Systems has been working closely with [redacted]. Our records indicate that we last spoke with

her as well as one of her creditors on 8/*/13 and believed the file was in good

standing and moving as anticipated.

Upon receipt of the complaint [redacted]

was contacted by our office. We informed

her that we received the complaint she filled with the Revdex.com and we wanted to

assure her that her case is in the final stages and this process is coming to

an end. However if she has lost her

“trust” in our ability to bring her case to fruition we would refund her money.

[redacted] stated that she would like

us to proceed. We apologized for any

confusion and mentioned that we would send a statement for her to return to us

indicating her desire for us to continue with her case.

We value our reputation with the Revdex.com and

pride ourselves on customer service. To that end we look forward to successful

conclusion to this matter.

Sincerely

BK Net Systems Inc.

My initial contact with BK Net was positive and they were quite helpful. Once they quoted their rate, I asked them to call me back in a couple days so I could assess other options. Their rates were quite high compared to some other rates for top lawyers in my area, so when they called me back as requested, I let them know that their rates were not very competitive in my area and I asked them if their was anything they could do to lower their rate. I still wanted to work with them because they were so helpful, until the person I was speaking with became combative and claimed that the competition I was speaking of must consist of cut-rate, low-quality lawyers (which is not the case) and I was not the type of client they wanted if I did not think their services were worth $1625 (when I'm filing for bankruptcy and obviously not in good shape financially). He said that their A+ rating gets them plenty of clients and then he proceeded to hang up on me. I have never written a review in my life, but this seemed like an important experience to share, as folks who call BK Net are already having a rough time and do not need this type of interaction.

never get call backs, or help in a timely matter.

Review: We couldn't do the bankruptcy that we wanted. We got strung along with them saying that they could when they can't do it and they will not refund our money even though they can't provide the bankruptcy we asked for.Desired Settlement: Refund for $1500

Business

Response:

[redacted] first contacted our company on 4/**/2012 requesting bankruptcy information. Information was gathered and an appointment was made for the attorney to review her information and determine if she was a candidate for bankruptcy and if so what chapter would be best suited for her needs.
