I want to first start by saying please stay away from this companyWe have invested so much funds in upgrades due to them saying we never have enough pts.and need to purchase more to keep up with all the so called extras that come with upgrading. We have been strugling with keeping up on those yearly maintenance fees and monthly paymentsWe at this point have to many points that we will never useThis has been a burden on us not an investmentWith no luck for the past months of contacting them on some issues we had in regards to an upgrade that they say we needed in order to bundle all things together and to get my daughter on the ownshipThey out right told us that everyone needed to be present to do this and she wasnt. At a recent trip to miami we were get told again that they should have gave us a mail in option on this that never happened and they just keep covering up there lies with other tactics we are tired of itI am now seeking a law firm to get us out of this hardship that these deceptive, lying, and munipulative sales people put us into because your ownership at whatever level is never good enough. The customer service bluegreen offers is very unprofessional and they never call you back. They just dont care about you or your situation with themI will never recommend them we have been owners for yrsand I am ready to loose all monies invested just so I could get out of this contract

I have been a bluegreen member for 17yearsTimeshares are not for everyoneEvery timeshare sales pitch we have been to which have been several companies, bluegreen included, are high pressure sales, but so are used car salesmanDo your homework and go with the company that you understand the processAsk questions if you do not understandAll of the bluegreen associates have been wonderful to usThey are always willing to help and answer questionsThe resorts are nice and never disappointedAs with any resort yes it is sometimes difficult to get last minute reservations during peak times and peak placesYes there are maintenance fees as with any condo or timeshare (upgrades and maintenance are a necessity)Could I vacation cheaper than what I paid and my maintenance fees, yes but not at the caliber of resorts with similar accommodationsAs for the complaints, no one forced us to purchase and I am sure no one forced them to buy or go on the "free" vacationNothing is free in life you always have to read the fine print and be educated about your purchaseYou cant blame the salesman for doing a good job and getting you to purchase somethingAs for the credit cards taken out and not known it is on the disclosure saying yes or no to credit applicationThere have never been any surprises with our transactions and we have upgraded several times purchasing more time, but we take the time and read what we sign and make sure we understand everything

A rep from BlueGreen Corp ( [redacted] id#1552) called me and told me I had been selected to receive a day vacation and day cruise from a drawing done at a local theater She very nicely gave me information about the two trips, and then told me I needed to pay $per person I said I don't pay or give my credit card to people who just call me out of the blue, and to please send me the information in writing I had not remembered the name of the company, BlueGreen Corp, from the drawing at the theater -who pays attention to the corporate name in a raffle? After I said I would like them to send me the information in writing, without hesitation or telling me, the rep transferred me to a manager, [redacted] , id# [redacted] proceeded to attempt to bully me into paying the money, accusing me of being ridiculous to have accused a person calling me out of the blue and asking for money of being a scam He got quite irate when I wouldn't cave in, and he hung up on me Very sketchy and rude business practice and/or customer service, and I will be sure to steer clear of this company in the future I would be careful if you are considering doing business with them; any company that uses bullying tactics, treats their potential customers like this, and refuses to send any form of written information is dubious to me

The program is not for everybody After evaluation I learned there is a significant up front charge ($18,in this case) plus an annual maintenance fee ($1000) for the privilege of staying at certain resorts for greatly reduced rent - basically a time share with a twist The sales people are high pressure and they distort the actual terms of the contract you sign, to the point of outright deception You are awarded a number of "points" at the beginning of each year If you have enough points you can stay where you want when you want It may take many years to accrue enough points to go where you wish The points can carry over from year to year - for a fee The points may also be used in lieu of money to pay for your stay The sales crew will stress paying cash for the stay and saving your points but not tell you more points give you better choices of where and when you can stay somewhere Throughout the pitch bear in mind that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is We were fortunate - we checked it out on our computer in the motel room after signing and got back out of the contract in a timely manner To be completely fair, I will say the corporation itself does live up to the contractual terms of cancellation if the instructions are followed I signed on to the program January 23, I mailed a cancellation notice to them January 25, I had the credit back on my VISA card February 4, From this point I will invest $19,and add $(maintenance) to it every year This will be my vacation fund I won't use it for travel or food, only lodging It may take quite awhile (if ever) to use up the money - but it will still be MY money

Deplorable business practicesLiars, cheats, thieves They promised the world and give nothing but grief They are promoted by Bass Pro Shops (who are in some way affiliated with them) and offer night/day stays at luxury resorts for $and will give you back $in gift cards to listen to their sales pitch for hoursWhat I got was a room in a disgusting motel that smelled and had a bathroom only as wide as a toilet that reminded me of Psycho's Bates MotelI listened to their sales pitch and was given a $gift card which is un-useable!!! The models at their pitch center are gorgeous (not even close to their accomodations) They try to ply you to purchase their vacation plan for 30k

I hate poor customer service! I would not recommend my dog to buy timeshare at Bluegreen Resorts Consumer service is terrible and they do not keep their words I have been an owner for years and all I experience with booking or the mortgage department is "Sorry we are unable to assist you at this time" Please consumers, don't waste your time because it is not worth the money The resorts are beautiful but you will never get what you want from them but they will give you what they want you to have Now I'm calling the head quarters and they have me on hold for about minsand no one is available to handle my complaint Now you know, it starts at the head

NIGHTMARE! Was recently cornered into purchasing "points" , and although they have a nice little sales pitch, it's really a bullpen they send you to have "closers" work the dealNot at all what I would consider a nice environment for purchasing a lifetime worth of vacationsThe not so funny part, is that once we decided to back out, no one would answer their phones or return a phone call within a hour period In fact, not one persons business card we had, had a good extension number on itAnd when you got someone on the phone, they wouldn't give you the persons extension to dial directSCAMEverything is very shady about this company, and their tactics to close a dealI wish [redacted] from Bass Pro would sit in one of these unannounced....he'd clear his name from his affiliation with them in a heart beat If he's so concerned with customer service, I'd love for him to sign up, and then try to back out STAY AWAY

I wish I would have never purchased points from Bluegreen! Apparently whenever I want to book something I either don't have enough points or there is no rooms availableI am paying roughly $a year for something I can't use and can't get out of! They also said I could refinance it to get a lower rate than what they have me in for, but that was a liePlease do your research on this company before you get stuck paying like I am!

I don't know if it's Bluegreen Vacations or [redacted] but there is a MAJOR disconnect when it comes to booking reservations Oh, they took our money easy enough (which I'm getting back) but trying to book the actual reservation has been a nightmare Between the reviews I have read online and my own experience I will avoid and recommend to others to avoid Bluegreen and [redacted] with EXTREME prejudice You can't seriously expect to sell a product if the sample product is completely broken

We were told, by the representative, that they would help us sell (with a small fee) our `points`if we changed our mind. They never mentionned the amount of taxes we would have to pay on the proprety assigned to us. They said that those fees would be minimum. ( 800$++ per year is minimum???) All togheter they where dishonnest with us and did not want to ear anything about rebuying or helping us to resale our points. Alot of BS from there part. The representative that trapt us into buying these points (spent 3 hours to convince us) does not work there anymore!!!!!

I foolishly purchased a timeshare from BluegreenI distinctly remember that they were affiliated with the Revdex.com during the sales pitchThe offers seemed reasonable until we had to close We purchased a very inexpensive package that was within our budget We were given an explanation of the club fees as well and that still was nothing out of the ordinary I remember books from previous years with the actual point cost for a vacation in our preferred destinations that would have been perfect for the package we selected As a servicemember, I value my vacations and I thought it was a good purchase for my family and I Once we closed and left Bluegreen in Saint Augustine, then full details of the Bluegreen nightmare began I tried several times to book vacations and there were never ANY rooms available I was given a guarantee by the sales rep that there were ALWAYS rooms available at Bluegreen properties I tried several ways to book a vacation, phone calls and the internet I googled the hotels directly and a few of them stated that all their booking was done through Bluegreen I googled the hotel and tried to book a vacation, and the only rooms available were for prospective buyers So as a current Bluegreen property owner, there were no rooms available, but if I planned on purchasing a timeshare, then there were plenty of open rooms My family and I were in shock, but we did manage to book a room in a non-Bluegreen property in Key Largo, FL I did some research and discovered that there was a Bluegreen property mile away from our hotel room I drove up to the property and was told by the lady that there were rooms available but we had to stay nights (not disclosed during the presentation or closing that the properties usually required a night stay) I was also told that it was really easy to use the points to pay the annual membership dues That was a total lie and the agent withheld the fact that you had to pay an exhorborant amount of money to even register for websites to sell your points I was contacted by no less than companies offering to "sell" my timeshare for me but wanted $to register it for their website By that time, I had enough of the Bluegreen umbrella scam that I always googled them while they were on the phone and shure enough, not one of them were accredited with the Revdex.comI called on a few occasions and offered to pay the "mortgage" and I didn't want any rights to the "properties," the "benefits," or the points I distinctly remember the associate on the phone telling me that there was no way I could give the "deed" back, and that my contract had perpetuity written into it and the only way was to sell it or die I've seen listings for Bluegreen properties for $online in an attempt to get rid of them I had to get a lawyer to rid myself of the Bluegreen headache In retrospect, I wish I had googled the company before I did any business

High pressure sales, the presentation was supposed to be minutes but they kept is there over five hoursWe could have walked out but since we were promised a few prizes for just listening were reluctant to do soThe sales staff were nice of course but contradicted themselves several timesThe interest rates are rediculous but they provided a third party option "as reassurance" we can refinance after 30-daysOf course there is no guarantee that will happenThe extra incentives they offered after we were reluctant to commit were already at their disposal, as they redily had certificates pre-printedOverall I should have known better, but that's not to say it's not a good fit for a small percentage of people looking to travel more frequently

I was solicited by phone for a free 4/nite hotel, admission tixs to an attraction & $restaurant gift card if my husband & I did a time share tour.Came in on a Sunday morning in the rain & min drive to get to preview center arriving on time.Once I couldn't show proof my husband (just got married months ago) had the same address they told us no tour ,you don't qualify.I had arranged child care, drove mins in the rain & arrived on time.We were treated like ***,& after raising my voice I was told they were gonna call the police on me.I laughed, but kept yelling. They had the major card,id's,utility bill, they even had the balls to ask for our marriage cert. The rep *** was a real piece of work. She had no empathy or diplomacy. She like many of their employees need to work with plants, cuz they suck with people. They screwed my family on a Sunday morning,& wanted me outta there as other couples in the lobby about to take the tour were listening to it all.The reviews speak for themselves,I don't need the 5th "closer" in a suit w diamonds & *** tryin to get me to write a check & sign a contract.Contracts are for suckers.Blugreen you fail as a business worthy of a hard working family to invest in.Little tip:People buy answers to problems & good feelings,Your company provides neither

I am an unhappy Bluegreen resort customerTalking to the reps at over the phone at their number is worse than speaking to a year old childI called them as an unhappy customer looking for a resolution and everyone I spoke to treated me as if I was asking them for a favorNo one cared about my concern no one tried to resolve my issueI spoke to a rep Connor explain my issue and he offers me to stay in the same city I live in for additional numberThey don't care that your not happy all they want is moneyCustomer satisfaction is not an priority for this companyI asked for a supervisor he than transferred me to *** he tells me all I can offer you is what you have alreadyShe was worse than the previous repI proceeded to ask for their corporate office phone numberShe says your speaking to corporate, but she introduce herself as a supervisorI asked to speak to someone above her this young lady placed me on hold for over an hourAnd then a young lady by the name of *** came on the line stated no managers are in the office and told me to callback and ask for *** *** I am very very unable I feel as if I have been robbed and if their was a way to press charges or sue this company I definitely would

We bought a bluegreen timeshare and now we wish we never hadNever can get reservations on where you want to go when you want to goSales people tell you a bunch of bald face liesMaintence fees keep going up and when you do book a reservation at one of the resorts, you are asked to attend an hour meeting that turns out to be be a lot more and they try to pressure you into upgrading and tell you what a good deal they have to offer, ***SorryBut when I pay for something I want to be able to use it and not feel pressured into going into some stupid meetings for them to try to sell us something elseI would like to enjoy my vacationIf you have ever thought about buying a timeshare my word for you is "DON'T" It's a waste of your hard earned money

My boyfriend and I recently purchased with Bluegreen in July and we are very happy with our investmentWe found Bluegreen through Bass Pro Shop where we purchased a night day vacation for $We stayed in Orlando Florida at The Fountains ResortThe presentation was long but our sales people were very helpful and positiveMy boyfriend and I are in our 20's and we really wanted to invest in something togetherThey worked with us to make the investment affordableThey did not pressure us to buy more points or put more money downThey accepted what we offered and got us the best dealThe rest of the vacation was greatThe Fountains is beautifulThe rooms were great and there was daily activities that were very entertainingWe visited Universal Studios and many days had a hard time deciding whether to go to the theme park or just stay at the resort
We have already booked our vacation to Aruba! We are so excited to be a part of Bluegreen and really wanted to share our positive experience

My husband and I were visiting a Bass Pro store in Maryland and were greeted by a sales person that talked to us about a 3-day 2-night vacation and we asked about the different locationsWe were told we would receive a $Bass Pro gift card and receive $in Bass Pro gift cards for visiting the resort and hearing about Blue Green Vacation ClubWe paid $and received the $gift card for Bass Pro and went homeWithin the next week, I called and made our reservations to go and stay in Williamsburg, VirginiaWe paid $for an extra night and were told thoroughly that we would be responsible for paying the state taxes for the hotel we would be staying inWe also were told about any fees that would be our responsibility, if any, upon our departure if there were any phone calls, etc We arrived in Williamsburg on Wednesday and checked into the preview center and were given our date/time to be back for the preview of the resort/vacation club and checked into our hotelWe went to the preview the next day and had a great time talking with our salesman and looked at the resort and came back and continued talking to our salesman and had a great talk with one of the finance peopleThey showed us 2-different plans and explained the points system to usThey really made us feel very welcome and didn't pressure us into anythingBefore we left to head back home we went back to say thank you for a wonderful time and that within the next year we would most likely be contacting them to become buyersWe were very impressed with everyone that we came in contact with and would recommend Blue Green to anyoneEveryone's story is different and I hope the negative statements and complaints about this company are just because there might be some inexperienced people that may have been working for them and hope that they might learn from the sales people we dealt with were top-notch in our book!!

We've owned (first by deed, then by vacation points) Bluegreen property Mountain Loft, Gatlinburg TN, for more than yrs While we have had a nice 'vacation week' or two in the early years of the ownership, the overall "LIFE-LONG OBLIGATION of ownership" is WAY TOO COSTLY & STRESSFUL! After just a couple of years of ownership, the ever-increasing costs of maintenance has out-weighed any real benefit to us it's costing way too much! I have friends who (smartly) take vacations every year to the same places we do for less than it costs us They never bought into timeshares (made that $$ investment upfront / paid in cash / like throwing your money to the wind) they just pay for 'rentals' each year In more recent years, the Bluegreen Resorts we've gone to are not nearly as nice as they were (carpets & furniture soiled & worn, etc.), yet Bluegreen has almost doubled our yearly maintenance fee (with what they call an "assessment fee" that's as much as the maintenance fee!) Bottom-line, it just strikes me that "Timeshares" (as I imagine all are structured in their deceptive sales pitches about 'investment') the selling of this product, in any form you call it should be ILLEGAL The entire model of VACATION TIMESHARE must be making someone very wealthy, but it is taking UNFAIR advantage of innocent, well-meaning consumers, most of whom are young, with families Consumers need a legal advocate on this whole scheme There ought to be A LAW AGAINST the whole TIMESHARING industry the product is NOT GOOD FOR CONSUMER CONSUMPTION!!! You cannot get out! We've spent many dollars just trying to give the thing away! Here's a simple question to Bluegreen Corporation and any Bluegreen owners who ARE happy with their ownership: If any of this is so good, why can we not GIVE IT BACK TO BLUEGREEN or SELL IT TO ANOTHER OWNER FOR ONE DOLLAR / Keep our initial cash payment as pure profit for you?

Consumer's beware!I followed all the Bluegreen vacation rules and called them to reschedule the original vacation since my spouse couldn't make the original dateAt that time I asked for my money backThe representative didn't want to just give me my refund but insisted I wait to take the vacation as I had a "full year" to take the vacationI asked again about the refund if my spouse could not attend during that time frame as he worked two jobs and we were having difficulty coordinating hotel days with days offI was reassured there wouldn't be a problemMistake...I took this to mean I could get my refund or hotel dates were plenty enough to get a stay...Guess what...neither one is possibleThis was all over the last daysI am over days so the company refused to give me the refund as promises by their representative and I can't book a reasonable vacation dateHow many people do you know get Monday thru Thursday's off when working jobs? The company simply won't flex or work with youTheir people are rude on the phone and only care about not refunding money, providing misinformation in order to not refund money and trap you into hearing their sales pitchI would never purchase a time share based on their customer service

This is a review of Bluegreen Vacations as an organization, not the resort That will follow if appropriate
I June 2015, after a stay at a Chice Hotel, I got notified of an offer to stay at a Bluegreen resort I remember the contact very clearly and I wrote down everything that was said at the time of contact I was told that for $I would get a day night stay at one of their resorts or affiliated properties and Choice Privileges points This offer would be good for people traveling together and only had to participate in a property tourI knew this is a time share presentation which I normally do not go to but in this case I had an ulterior motive which is irrelevant to the review My mistake is that I did not read the confirmation letter I received after the call Had I done so I would have cancelled as what was written on the letter was not what was told to me When I finally got around to booking (which was not what I had originally planned due to family issues - like two daughters planning to have babies at the same time and not being able to travel at the times planned) we booked the trip to Las Vegas which is not a favorite destination of ours It was at this time I found out that the offer was written down as $Master Card gift card back OR points This was not what was told me I went ahead with the booking with the note that I wanted the company to review the first phone call to verify what was said I was advised that I would be called back in hours This was never done though I was contacted again to confirm the reservation Not having been contacted after 1/days (including a holiday weekend - not their fault) I called back Bluegreen Talked to another agent and was told that, sorry that I was never contact but lets see what could be done After much discussion it was agreed that I would be refunded $to my credit card (which was done and verified) and that at the visit I would get a MC gift card for $AND points Tired of this go around I agreed Just wanted this to end Confirmation letter came and it said points only I called back and after a go around with a supervisor I got nowhere and agreed to the gift card of $and no points I was not goint to get anywhere If I did not accept this I would have lost the deposit as well as having to pay for the first night reservationI asked that the phone records be reviewed again and the supervisor said that she would do that I stayed on hold and she came back and said that the agent's notes reflect the either/or offer and not the AND offer She said that she reviewed the notes and never listened to the conversationSick of this I hung up After confirmation I also found out that I would be paying tax on the room (this is usual) but that I would be also be paying a daily resort fee This is BS for a hotel and a total scam They tried to switch me to another hotel aside from the one originally booked and that one had a parking fee in addition Paid parking in Vegas? You have got to be kiddingHad I been told that this was an either/or offer at the beginning I never would have booked it That is ridiculous The pot has to be sweetened somehow to get me to accept it Never would have accepted the OR part Beware of this company They are liars and cheaters They will take your money and screw you in the end Grant that I will not be out a lot of money with this but that is not the issue The issue is honesty in business and this company is definitely not that I am not a new person to this type of dealing I know how to document and what questions to ask and I still got screwed My recommendation, if you hear the term Bluegreen, run the other way as fast as you can
