This company has the worst customer service,plus the crappiest website, if you are unlucky like me to have a problem with your reservation due to website malfunction,then you will have the worst experience with the most incompetent customer service and management that refuse to recognize their responsibility in deceiving customers
To make a long story short,my car/hotel/flight reservation turned to a nightmare when I arrived to my destination and found out that there is no car reserved and no resort reserved,after HOURS on the phone with the most incompetent customer service that actually don't care after they get your money ,I ended with booking another car,The company refused to refund me that,because they said they didn't charge me for the car ,despite getting a voucher for the car with multiple bookit people telling me the car was booked
My advice is dont use this horrible company unless you want to ruin you vacation

Unfortunately I have had the opportunity to experience Bookit.com in a not so flattering manner. I realize as a third-party broker to a host of resort properties they are tasked with the advertisement and booking of vacations, however being this intermediary Bookit.com must take the lead in making things right with customers when things go haywire. In my case I booked a trip to a Royalton resort that opened up in Cancun and encountered a host of issues however Bookit was slow to resolve and provide reasonable concessions. I find the lack of their responsiveness to be a horrible business practice model. I would urge any and every one to consider another like business to book flights/vacations with in order to have a more pleasurable experience.

My experience with bookit has been absolutely horrible! They are completely unprofessional and put you on hold for (at least) a half hour at a time because they have no clue what they're doing! They charged my card 4 times and it took over 3 hours to speak with a manager to fix it! 1 month prior to the trip our flights were changed with 8 hour layovers to and from our destination! Defeats the purpose of a vacation! Would not recommend to anyone ever unless you like wasting your time and money!

Make sure you take pictures of the names you put on
your booking because there is no going back on your part if they make a
mistake on theirs!! I will be posting on YouTube the recording of a
call on July X XXXX with an agent and Jonathon [redacted] one of the
Assistant Customer Service Managers. I can't imagine any company
wanting someone like him representing them. I've never in 28 years of
traveling have had to deal with anyone this unprofessional the last
thing he should be doing for a living is "Customer Service" between all
the ridiculous/contradicting emails from him and the other 6 agents and
one supervisor I had the misfortune of having to deal with there is so
much more that has happened I'm in SHOCK and we haven't even left for
our Anniversary trip (in tears and worried instead of excited and
looking forward to it) HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

A reservation was booked for the weekend of 08/14-08/16 on 07/31. I was charged in full in advance. Upon my arrival to the resort they had no record of my reservation. The resort contacted Book It and they said they would email the confirmation over. After several phone calls to the company from the resort along with my calls they determined that the resort was full and they could not accommodate us. We had 10 guests, 6 of which were kids. At 10:00 pm this still wasn't resolved. 2 hours later they tried to put us in a 2 star hotel with 2 double beds. A far cry from a one bedroom villa at a resort. I told them to cancel my booking and refund my money. I'm told it will take 7-10 days to get over $900.00 back. Never again will I use this company or recommend them!

FALSE AND FRAUDELENT PRICING. Listing fake inflated prices, give % off, their price, to make deal seem good.
Had heard decent things of bookit.com, so thought I would try. As everyone does, looking for best value. I am familiar with area and pricing of vacation rentals. Chose to try Mystery Resort $371 reg price get for $199 ( yes, bad idea , I know) Customer Service ridiculous!! I had a supervisor tell me if I didnt want to stay at selected resort, next to a mobile home park and 2 miles from beach, I would have to book another and lose all of what I had paid. Yes, that is what she said. BEWARE! You can get better, anywhere else.

We just used Bookit for the first time for a trip to Hawaii. I booked a room about a month in advance and confirmed my reservation directly with the Wyndham, just to make sure. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk informed us that they were sold out and that we were being "relocated" to another hotel of similar quality. This was a joke. We ended up at a far less desirable hotel with no adjustment to the rate. I guess we could have tried to fight with Bookit and/or the Wyndham but it was late and we just wanted a room. We contacted Bookit when we returned and they provided no satisfaction, apologies, etc. This may have been an isolated incident but I will never know, as I will never use them again.

We did have a voicemail from someone at Bookit about a couple hours before we landed. She only left her first name and asked me to call but there was no way to get through to her using their automated menu. Had no idea our reservation was bumped until we got to the hotel. Very frustrating.

My friends and I booked a trip from St. Louis to Cancun, Mexico. There was a total of 5 couples that went, and bookit.com provided the best rates that we could find. The trip was a great success and I have now been using bookit for most of my packaged travel since then.

I booked an all inclusive vacation to Secrets The Vine in Cancun Mexico through Book-It. At the time I made the reservation, Book-It was offering a vary attractive price at Secrets The Vine, which from my research, was a highly rated resort in the Cancun hotel zone. I had no problems with the reservation process and the pricing was as described in the advertising on the Book-It site. I would not have any issues using Book-It again and would have no problem recommending the site to others.

My wife and I recently took our honeymoon with a trip from Bookit. Over all it was a good experience tho there was room for improvement. We went out of the USA to Mexico and were having an issue with the Air line (Spirit) and needed assistance. The trip ground transportation and excursions we were taking were with BD Travel thru Bookit. I asked the rep at our resort to have an agent from Bookit contact me to get help with dealing with Spirit Airlines. I was told I was on my own... I tried to call Spirit several times to no avail. Very frustrating. Be careful people if there is an issue you are on your own.

I travel often, and bookit.com was BY FAR THE WORST experience I have ever had trying to book a trip. I typically book through some of the better-known travel sites, but bookit had a discount promotion going on for my trip type so I gave it a try. I was trying to book a flight plus hotel package trip for vacation, and when I submitted the payment and order, an error message came back saying that the flight was booked but there was an error with the hotel and that part was not booked. It provided a number to call. I called immediately.

The person I talked to on the phone said that it looks like neither the flight or hotel was booked somehow, even though I was looking at a message from bookit.com saying the flight was booked and there was an error with the hotel part of the booking. I went to go book it again on the website while on the phone and received another error, then I couldn't find the same flight online. The person on the phone said the flight was available, and she can book me on the same trip, but the pricing she was receiving was about $90 more than the same exact trip I submitted payment for a few minutes prior when it allegedly partially booked and then didn't. I was annoyed, but wanted the experience to be over with so I told her to book it. I wish it ended there but it didn't.

She quoted me the new total (around $2800), and asked permission to charge. Then, when she submitted, she said that she got a different error. Somehow the flight was booked but not the hotel on this new reservation. When she went to go process the hotel reservation again, she said that the cost was actually going to be more expensive, AGAIN, than the amount she just quoted me when asking permission to charge me for the trip. The person on the phone said that there was nothing she could do about it and that it is what it is. I was trying to book specific flight and hotel because I am flying out with another person that booked separately, so I just paid it. The trip that I originally booked through their website at about $2700 ended up costing me about $2900 instead. Thanks bookit.com. No one I know will ever use your site again.

While traveling recently I stopped briefly to book a room for a one night stay in Orlando near my college age son for a quick visit during his spring break. I pulled up 2 bedroom properties near his location trusting the proximity was reasonable. After booking a room, I noticed the address was not in Orlando; quickly searching the address found out that the distance was more than 30 miles from my son's location. Which by Orlando traffic could mean an hour or more travel time. I picked up the phone and called bookit for assistance - explained that I was booking a room on the road and obviously I made a mistake somehow with my search. While on hold I learned from the hold music that it would cost me $25 to cancel my room by phone so I requested assistance to change it. I was told due to the cancellation policy, it would still cost me the 1 nights stay. Frustrated, I decided it was better than paying for two rooms. After hanging up, I took a second look at the details. In addition to the advertised price there would be a cleaning charge equal to the amount of the room. Obviously, I wanted to be closer to my son, so for the same cost I reasoned it would be best just to cancel the room and get one closer. I tried to cancel myself online so I wouldn't have to pay the $25 assistance fee by phone. However, when I finally got to the correct screen to cancel the reservation it wouldn't allow me to cancel; said I HAD to call bookit for assistance. Extremely frustrated now, I explained once again to the customer service associate my dilemma. She offered no options or assistance, just cancelled my reservation. The best part is she told me I would receive a $40 REFUND. When questioned, she could only explain that when she put the figures in, the amount of the refund was $40. Perplexed and suspicious I checked my bank account. There was of course a $40 ADDITIONAL CHARGE to my account. I have used other online sites to book hotel rooms in the past. This was my first experience with bookit and I am thankful it wasn't a more expensive one, but wanted to point out that if you do use them READ THE FINE PRINT.

We booked a trip with Bookit.com to the Bahamas. Everything was fine until we tried to check into the hotel. We were told we would have to speak to the manager before we could check in. The manager informed us that Bookit had not payed for our room,and we would have to give the hotel our credit card info. We then tried to call Bookit,but we were put on hold for 20 minutes,then hung up on. We went through this scenario at least 5 times. When we finally got to talked to someone they said they were having computer problems,but they would
send our payment by tomorrow. This ruined our first 2 days of vacation. Who wants to spend hours on the phone trying to talk to someone when you should be relaxing? We were afraid that we were going to have to pay for our room twice. Bookit did finally pay for our room the next day. But when we got a ride to the airport another couple riding with us said they used Bookit,and they still had not payed for their room. I am never going to use Bookit again!

We booked millenieum broadway hotel in new york city..The site advertised a
continental breakfast. We always confirm with the hotel , prior to our departure, that
the reservation was made. However, the hotel said that our reservation, made by book it did not include the continental breakfast. When we complained to book it. they said that
was not including the breakfast, although their site advertised this. The staff and their
manager was quite rude and did not feel that they were at fault. I also received my bill in the mail and beware of the exchange ( for Canadian travelers). Way more than we thought..I suggest booking through another agency...NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I've been using bookit.com for a number of years. The last two times I had a issue, the bookit team was able to assist.However, my September 3rd experience was the most memorable. It prompted me to write an review. Iyana was the BEST customer rep I've ever spoke with.She was so professional, friendly, informative and relatable. I wish every time I use bookit.com she could be my personal bookit rep. Continue to employ more individuals with her work ethic and bookit.com with exceed pass any competitors. Iyana good luck with future endeavors and continue to make bookit.com the BEST service company.

I'm in shock with the professionalism and composure of Krystal in the Jamaica office she was on the phone with me for 1 3/4 hours straightening up my mess. I thank you so very much and hope you get to read this. thank you so very much...

We paid in full for our trip to Mexico. We arrived at our hotel after 12 hours of traveling to find that Bookit had not paid the hotel. We had to repay the hotel the full amount. We are still fighting Bookit to be reimbursed for the amount we paid the hotel. It has been almost 7 days since we returned from our trip and Bookit continues to tell us they are "working on it". Don't use Bookit unless you want to pay double for your trip.

I am a first-time Bookit user. I found a decent deal on a trip and tried booking it on their website. Only part of my booking went through (flights) but the hotel could not be reserved at the same time due to a server error on their part. So I had part of my vacation but not all of it, and my credit card was charged as such. Customer service kept telling me to call back later to see if the error was fixed. When I asked if someone could call ME back once it was fixed, I was told no. So, two days and four phone calls of 40+ minutes each later (mostly on hold), I think I am now booked at the hotel for the same price as previously quoted. The Bookit website states:

"we take Guest Support very seriously. In fact, one of our Core Values states that if our Guests are merely satisfied, we haven't done our job. Total Guest elation is our goal, and we work tirelessly to ensure that each and every Guest is so elated with their experience that they stop conversations to tell others about us. "

Not only was I not elated, I was annoyed at having taken so much of my time to spend close to $2K for a vacation that I could have booked elsewhere in 5 min. When I expressed dissatisfaction with my booking process I was basically told "we're sorry for the inconvenience but there's nothing else we can do for you." This is a site for booking vacations online, one of many sites out there that consumers can choose from, and one that was a big hassle in my experience.

I will never use this site again, I will also inform people how this company conducts very bad business. I booked a room on April 7, and was needing to cancel. When I called the telephone number the customer service stated, "It will cost $25 to cancel over the phone but it's free if you do it online". So after logging in I found out it's not free, it's $19.95 to cancel online, plus it states, "If canceled on or after Apr 04, 2014, Eastern Time, Lose 1 Nights Room & Tax and $19.95". How can this be if I booked the room on April 07. This is why I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. It's very misleading. The sales rep. stated, " If I would have try to cancel the reservations 5 min. after booking, it would have been the same outcome".
