[redacted] did come in on 4/30/2014 and purchase and take delivery of a 2013 Dodge Dart. She was quoted $394 x 60 and then she elected to add a 7 year MaxCare Chrysler extended warranty and also a 5 year Ultimate protection plan covering Tires and wheels,...
windshield, ding and dent for paintless dent repair and also Key replacement for lost keys it was the purchase of these 2 items that made her payment go $436 x 60. She did come in the next day with her sister and state that she had buyers remorse but if we gave her $10,000 for her trade she would be happy to which her sister stated " you will absolutely not take anything less than $11400 for the trade since that is what Kelly Blue Book says". The sister also proceeded to tell us she had 3 days to return the car and change her mind to which we told her that is not the law and we have a legal contract. We explained that the trade in needed work and that is why it was appraised for $8000. The trade was put in our shop for a reconditioning check and we were informed by the mechanic that it needed 2 front tires, front brakes, and a radiator along with some other small items. The bill for the mechanical work was a little over $1900 plus the fact the car needed both bumpers repainted along with 3 of the 4 fender flares repainted due to large scrapes that tokk the paint off. The car also needed the leather seat repaired with a panel and the headliner dyed from previous water stains due to the sunroof previously leaking. All in all we elected to dispose of the car at an auction since it would be to costly to recondition the car for resale. We figure all this work into an appraisal on used cars as values are based on good saleable condition. We did estimate [redacted]s payoff at $600 like she said it was and the payoff was actually $480 so that it what we sent to her lending institution and refunded the $120 overage to [redacted]. [redacted] does not have to pay interest on the $120 for the whole loan as she states she simply can send the $120 we sent her to Chrysler Capital along with her first payment and it will lower the principal amount of the loan and that will be taken care of. I believe that should explain the whole transaction and show nothing changed on the deal from start to finish except for the extra items that were opted for. In closing I am sorry that [redacted] was made to feel that her trade value was not enough after the fact but as you can see the trade does not even project as a future profit for us as we are not retailing the vehicle.

Dear [redacted]
I have reviewed the complaint by Mr. [redacted] and would like to clarify that he bought the vehicle on 6/15/2016 and the miles on the car were 78,678
The vehicle came with a 3 month or 3000 mile warranty that expired on 9/15/2016 or...
3000 miles from purchase whichever came first. The vehicle currently has 82,801 miles on it so he is out of warranty by time and miles. I have attached both the original buyers order and warranty form
Although I am sorry he has had this occur he is out of warranty and to say we knew of this problem and added an additive to cover it up is simply not true. We ran that car through a full vehicle inspection and reconditioning program in our service department before we put it on the lot for sale and put a warranty on it. We would never offer a warranty on a used car if we were aware of problems because we would have to fix the car under warranty, instead we would dispose of the car through the wholesale Auto Auction if it had problems and not offer it for retail sale. However in an effort of goodwill we will offer Mr. [redacted] a discounted rate of repair for his vehicle. Our normal shop rate is $115 an hour if he decides to fix the vehicle we will do the repairs at a rate of $50 per hour. We will also offer a discount of 25% off of parts. Should you have any questions please contact our Service Manager [redacted]
Thank you

[redacted]In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint he did indeed buy a 2008 Saturn Vue from us in March of 2015. Mr [redacted] came back in March for a check engine light so we gave him a 2015 Chrysler 200 to drive and sent his car to Porter Chevrolet to repair and they replaced the throttle...
positioning sensor as well as the knock sensor. We paid Porter in full for the repair and returned the car to Mr. [redacted] at no charge to him. Mr. [redacted] then returned on 4/20/2015 and stated that his radio shut off intermittently and there was a noise when taking his foot off the gas. We again gave Mr. [redacted] a 2015 Chrysler 200 to drive and sent his car to Porter unfortunately the car came back from Porter when they could not duplicate the problem. Mr. [redacted] called the next week with the same problem with the radio so we had him come in and drive the car with our used car manager we then gave Mr. [redacted] the 2015 200 to drive and took the car to Porter and demonstrated what Mr. [redacted] showed us. Porter diagnosed the problem and replaced the Body Control Module for which we paid them in full and returned the car to Mr. [redacted] at no charge to him. On 5/18/2015 Mr. [redacted] said his oil light came on when making a right turn and the car was making a ticking noise when slowing down from highway speeds. He also said there was a sloshing sound under the hood. We again gave Mr. [redacted] the 2015 200 to use and sent the car to Porter it turns out the car now has over 5000 more miles on it from when it was purchased and it is 1 quart low on oil so Porter does an oil and filter change to rectify the oil light and ticking noise and purges the cooling system to rectify the sloshing noise. We again pay Porter in full for the repairs and return the car to Mr. [redacted] at no charge even though the oil and filter is his responsibility for general maintenance. That brings us to June 1st when Mr. [redacted] states that the radio is acting up again and that sometimes the car wont turn over when turning the key so we again put him in the 2015 200 to use and send the car to Porter. As of today 6/23/2015 Porter tells us the car is fixed and is coming back this afternoon and that they found an electrical short in the negative battery cable where it attaches to the main ground. We paid for the repair in full at no charge to Mr. [redacted]. In my opinion we have been more than fair to Mr. [redacted] as we have provided him with a newer and more expensive car to drive every time he has had a problem and we have paid 100% for all the repairs with no charge to him. We offered to trade him out of the car for a new Jeep Patriot and give him exactly what he paid for the car but he refused because the payment is higher. We explained that he paid $11399 for the Saturn and the new car is over $20000 so the payment has to be higher since you are financing more. We tried in vain to get a similar priced used car financed for him but the bank declined the loan due to credit issues. We have addressed every problem he has had at no charge to him and even gave him the loaner car at no charge and then we had the State Police come in looking for him when he was driving the loaner car because he was driving at such at high rate of speed on I95 weaving in and out of traffic they could not safely pursue him but got the license plate number. Last week he returned our loaner car with a blown out sidewall on the tire to which we replaced at no cost to him and put him in another car. In closing we have offered him options to trade the car which he refused and we have addressed all the repairs at no cost to him. I feel we have gone above and beyond for Mr. [redacted]Respectfully,
[redacted]

Mrs [redacted] was in our dealer 10/12/17 We did look at her Blue tooth issue we paired 3 different phones to her car and all work to factory specs . While Mrs [redacted]s was talking to my service writer she had a portable blue tooth in her ear that she was having trouble with . Mrs [redacted]s then told us...
she needed tires and my service write looked at all four tire they were fine . Mrs [redacted] called here on Monday and I agreed to meet her at the South Smyrna Wawa at 6pm . I looked at all four tires and measured them All four tires are 9/32 across the width of the tire no abnormal wear. Note : These tires new start at 10/32 , so the vehicle has 15,000 miles on and only wore 1/32 off the tires is perfect . Mrs [redacted]s is telling me the tires are worn on the side wall, I explained the side wall does not make contact with the ground.Mrs [redacted] showed me a report that Carl King tires looked at her vehicle and stated that the center of the tire was worn which is not the case due to the measurements I have provided . I also stated that if you bring the vehicle up to our dealer I will do a courtesy alignment for free . She said I am not driving up there . The vehicle was certified and under Chrysler Certification the tires must be greater then 5/32 and they are .
I was never told about the warranty price. They hide that part from me. The sales man and the Manager told me the warranty was included in the price of the care what they tried to do was steal the money I had in my trade in. This dealership tied to sell me a 3rd party warranty as a Chrysler warrranty. The manager never told me it was a after market warranty. They told me it would extend the factory warranty.. Again this dealership will do anything to steal you money. They also tried to change me a 75.00 to cancel the warranty I did not ask for. Another way to steal the customer money. This is one of a few dealer where they try to get you to take the car the same day because they know once you drive off the lot in Delaware you can not bring the car back. A trick they used with me. The manger told me this when I tried to talk to them about this problem.

[redacted] We had looked at this vehicle for a noise from the engine compartment. It was checked by our technician and shop foreman for the noise. The first time the alternator was replaced and the customer returned and we topped off the power steering fluid. this vehicle has an electric power steering pump and does make a little noise when turning the steering wheel when sitting still. We compare this vehicle to another like vehicle and they sounded the same so we did not perform any further repairs at that time. If I can be of any further please contact me [redacted]

t, very discriminatory, and just plain rude. They kept telling me the sound was normal and that is what they responded to this complaint initially, but! I took my car to Newark Jeep on July 20th and my car needed a new power steering motor, they sound was legitimate. They diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes and my car was fixed under warranty. Was is it that another Jeep distributor took the time to diagnose the problem in less than 5 minutes when Brandywine kept insisting it was normal? Now my car is sound free and their customer service was absolutely outstanding. I wish I could return my car and go and purchase at Newark because Brandywine doesn't deserve my business. Also their is a recall on my car that Newark also took care of my recall the same day but I'm still waiting to be contacted by Brandywine that the parts are available. And I asked tgrm via a note I left on the car because I forget to ask when I made the appointment. Now I want to buy an extended warranty for my car which has had multiple issues and I've never bought one before in my life but there is absolutely no way regardless of price that I will buy from Brandywine.

[redacted] did indeed purchase a 2014 Ram Pickup from us and she asked us to install the bedliner and step rails for her. We told [redacted] that it would be a drop in bedliner and not a spray in liner to which she replied that is fine that is good enough for him. We...
also told her that it would be a $1050 charge to install the 2 items and she said okay please put it in my finance package with the bank. [redacted] then signed all the papers and left the truck with us to have the items installed. [redacted] came back the next day to pick up the truck after everything was installed and said everything was perfect. The next day her husband came in on his usual UPS route as he is our UPS delivery driver screaming and yelling at the sales manager that we screwed him and we owe him $500 and he wants a check for that amount. He stated we charged him $1050 and the cost of the items is only $550 to which the sales manager said [redacted] we paid $825 for the items to be installed and we are entitled to make a profit that is why we are in business and that is our normal markup. Mr [redacted] then told him we are not entitled to a profit and wanted to scream some more to which we told him to please leave or we would call UPS and request another driver. Now this is all after we sold [redacted] another truck 2 days before that she signed all of the papers and drove the truck home only to come back the next day and say I don't like this truck it doesn't wow me. So even though we didn't have to we took that truck back and let her pick this truck out. We have accommodated them with the return of one truck but we cannot just eat the parts that were installed on the truck for them especially since that is exactly what [redacted] who is the person that individually bought the truck asked for, agreed to and inspected and took delivery of after the items were already installed.
Sincerely,

They original noise was fixed by adding fluid to electric power steering pump reservoir and that noise is gone. the noise that we hear now is normal for that particular model of Jeep with the electric power steering pump. the pump comes on when turning the steering wheel. this is not a safety issue...
but a normal sound that the pump will make under certain conditions.
Dear [redacted]I have read the complaint of Mr. [redacted] and have researched it. Mr [redacted] came in on 2/20/2015 to lease a Chrysler 200S and drove one that listed for $25200 he liked the car but wanted one with more equipment so selected a loaded one for $29005. We worked out the price and...
lease payments for that car based on the fact that Mr [redacted] gets Chrysler Affiliates pricing through his employer Bank of America this price is predetermined through Chrysler for each individual car at 1% below invoice. The payments worked out to $389 for 36 months with $1000 cash down and 10000 miles per year through Chrysler Capital at either tiers 0 or 1. Mr [redacted] agreed to these terms and proceeded to fill out a credit application to see if he qu[redacted]fied. We ran the credit bureau and discovered that his credit score was 593 and his mothers score was 608 so we told him that wont be approved at tier 1 so let us submit the application to Chrysler Capital to see if we can get an approval and if so at what credit tier. Chrysler Capital agreed to approve the lease at a tier 3 which raised the payment to $473 we then relayed this payment and terms to Mr. [redacted] and he agreed that that was okay. He then signed all of the contracts and took delivery of his new car and profusely thanked everyone for all their help in getting the deal approved. Mr. [redacted] then came back a week later on 2/27/2015 and asked us to change his mileage limitation on his lease to 15000 miles per year and we explained to him that we could not do that because Chrysler Capital had already processed all the papers and the lease was already in force. He seemed to understand but was not completely happy but unfortunately it was too late and out of our control. Mr. [redacted] then came back around the second week of March and wanted to add high intensity for lights to the car and we explained that we could do that he would just have to pay cash for them and he did not want to do that he wanted them to be put in his payment we again told him we could not change the lease because it was processed back in February again he was upset. Mr [redacted] says that he is paying more than what is advertised for his lease but the National Ad Car is a 200 Limited that lists for $24250 about $5000 less than the model he leased. The disclosure on the Ad car is $1999 cash down plus Tax and Tags including a $1000 competitive lease rebate( someone who is currently leasing a competitive make car, which he is not) the disclosure also states this offer is for" well qu[redacted]fied applicants through Chrysler Capital. To summarize Mr. [redacted] leased a car that is almost $5000 more and only put down $1000 in comparison to the ad car that would require $4499 ($1999 cash + $1500 tax and tags + $1000 lease conquest) plus the credit qu[redacted]fications that came into play. As far as another dealer telling him they could have leased him a Chrysler 300S for that payment, that is just crazy as a 300S is almost $9000 more then the car he leased and couple that with the credit tier he qu[redacted]fied for his payment would have easily been over $600 per month. I am sorry that Mr [redacted] is not happy but the credit tier is determined by the lending institution not us and that is why the payment is what it is and we told him that as soon as we processed his application and he chose to go ahead and lease the vehicle.Sincerely,.

Review: I had an appointment to drop my vehicle off on May 11th because there was a squeaking noise coming from what appeared to be the front right wheel. It would stop when the brake was applied. I was called later in the day and told it was fixed. The problem was a backing plate and the bill was $84.76. I didn't notice until a couple days later this repair was performed on the front left brake, not the front right. I picked up my car Monday afternoon and driving home I heard the same squeaking noise. I called the service desk and made arrangements to bring my vehicle in the next morning, Tuesday. I received a call later in the morning advising me the Shop Foreman drove the car, heard the squeak and said the right front upper control arm needs to be replaced. I was told the $84.76 I spent the day before would be credited to this bill. This credit was not reflected on my bill which was $474.90. I picked up my vehicle Tuesday afternoon and driving home heard the squeak was still there. No change. I gave it 2 days to see if the noise would clear. It didn't. I advised the service desk the squeak was still there and clearly the control arm didn't need to be replaced if still making same noise. Made arrangements to bring vehicle in Friday and drove it with Shop Foreman. At first he said he couldn't hear squeak, then after driving a while said he could hear it a little. That afternoon service called and said they did some adjustment to right rear break, Foreman heard noise coming from there (it was written on the shop work sheet). I spoke with the Service Manager and inquired why change control arm if not broken; I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. He said it probably met some kind of parameters. Advised it didn't fix the vehicle and had nothing to do with the problem. He then told me he and Shop Foreman both drove vehicle and never heard any squeaking noise. He said they can't fix my car and to come pick it up. I picked up my vehicle that afternoon and it still squeaks.Desired Settlement: After 3 visits, they've had enough opportunities to fix my vehicle. If they never heard the squeaking noise, as the Service Manager stated, then why were they taking the car apart and replacing random parts that weren't broken? If they did hear the noise, as the Shop Foreman stated, as trained professionals, they should know the problem and fix it. I want to be refunded the $559.66 I spent for nothing. "Churning an account" is not acceptable and they should profit from it.

Response:
We have tried several times to repair the noise the customer is hearing. Unfortunately replicating and repairing the noise is not as easy as the customer thinks. The upper control arm that has the ball joint in was replaced because it had more clearance than the specifications allow. Since the upper control arm did not fix the concern we will refund the customers money for the upper control arm and adjusting the brake rotor shield $559.66

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Review: It seems these guys have no integrity. I would not want any consumer to go through the same experience I went through. We did not even get to SEE or TEST DRIVE the car we signed a premium priced leased contract for, we signed it under an unusual sense of urgency that made us feel like we were under pressure. We were deceived by being told we were getting the best deal, when in fact it was not. When in fact they just rushed us through the whole process even when we ASKED for a night to think about it. The deal was more beneficial for their own bottom line, for their own security. WE GOT RIPPED OFF. They focused on their own vested interest and their bottom line, which never helps a business's reputation in the long run. They don't even realize why this is wrong.. on a lease contract valued approximately ~$32,000 (~$17,000 guaranteed) and telling us they used all the discounts in the world to bring the price of the Chrysler 200 S vehicle down to approximately ~$26,000. To tack on an additional ~$6,000 ON A LEASE?? Bad credit or not, they screwed us over...then took it out on their own sales rep for the poor culture they have created at Brandywine CJDR...only to have NO INTEGRITY in the end and still do nothing about it.Desired Settlement: Considering that we were RUSHED and pressured through our sale, considering that we requested a night to think about it, and they pushed us on a contract paying $473 a month for a Chrysler 200 S that was supposedly discounted to almost $25,000. It's clear they mislead us into the wrong vehicle. As advertised on their website for well under $473 a month on a 36 month lease contract I should be driving a 300 S. My desired outcome is an exchange of the 200 S they put us in for a 300 S. Even Carman Chrysler dealer in New Castle had advised me that for that price they would have easily put us in a 300 S. I honestly wish we had a fair chance to actually drive the vehicle and think about the decision we were being rushed into. In hindsight it also gravely concerns me how much this experience resembles predatory sales practices.
