Review: I went to look at possibly purchasing a new vehicle on 04/30/14. I found a 2013 Dodge Dart that I was interested in and went for a test drive. When I got back [redacted] the sales person gave me a dollar figure that my car payment would be $394 for 60 months and advised me that it included the interest, tax and tags. I questioned what the interest amount was and he said they were still running my credit report. By time I got back to the finance office that amount went from $394 to $436 with no explanation of what the increase was for. They then showed me a a copy of "my" credit report and and I pointed out that my name is not "[redacted] J. [redacted]". The finance guy [redacted] then stated that they didn't even pull my credit report and proceeded to run it. Ms. Phillips score was 666 and mine was 533 but yet the amount of my finance charge did not change. It remained at 9.95%. [redacted] offered to let me pay cash for my tax and tags but then came back and said it was already included in the $394 a month price. I had advised them that the pay off of my vehicle I was trading in was less the $700.00. I was under the impression talking to [redacted] that they were going to pay off that difference and give me an additional $8000.00 for my trade. I signed the documents while [redacted] and [redacted] were carrying on a conversation w/me. (I feel to distract me from noticing some of the discripincies from what I was verbally told and what was written on paper.) I left the dealership at 9:30 pm. When I arrived home I went through the paperwork w/a fine tooth comb and realized what I was told and what was on the paperwork was not insync. I couldn't sleep that whole night and the next morning I took a half day vacation to try to rectify the situation. I went back willing to give the car back prior to 10 am and cancel the transaction completely. My sister was with me as a witness. They ([redacted]) weren't willing to work with me whatsoever and said that I was not able to give the car back. They used the excuse that they were not in at the time of the transaction. I explained to them the discripincies. They were not willing to adjust the trade in amount of my vehicle (mind you my trade in value should've been atleast 11,000 in the condition that it was in so me settling for 8600 to begin w/was low.) I also asked that they correct my pay off amount on my contract since at the point they confirmed my pay off amount was $480.00 and not $600.00. They had to talk to their boss to discuss the trade in amount and that they would get back to me. I told them to hold off making corrections to my contract until I received a callback from them and not to send the paperwork to the finance company until everything was corrected. I made it very clear that I did not want to finance an additional $120.00 at 9.95% interest. Today I received a call from my credit union advising that they received a check for $480.00 for my pay off and they were $7.72 off and questioned how I would like to pay that. I told them I would call them back because according to my contract Brandywine Chrysler was suppose to be sending them a check for $600.00. I called and spoke to [redacted] in finance and questioned what they did. He stated they mailed me a check for $120.00 yesterday and sent $480.00 to my credit union. That was not discussed with me in any fashion and it is not what my contract reflects. I tried to resolve this with them again today and when I asked who they report to for bad business they guy stated "[redacted]" which is the owner and hung up on me. I was very calm due to I was at work at the time I made the call so there was no reason for him to hang up on me. Hence me looking into it myself who to report their poor business practices and refusal of assisting me make a few simple adjustments.Desired Settlement: I would like my contract to reflect what I was verbally told. My payment should be $394.00 according to the sales associate. That again was told to me to include tax, tags, and finance charge. I would also like them to give me an additional $60.00 for the interest that I will paying on the $120.00 that I specifically told them I did not want to be included in my financing and that they agreed to change. I never signed a new contract reflecting they changed that. I would also like to be reimbursed $116.00 for the half day vacation I took to try to immediately resolve my dispute w/my paperwork. Lastly, I want it to be notated and go against their business score. I feel they took complete advantage of me in saying one thing and typing up something completely different and refusing to make the necessary corrections.

[redacted] did come in on 4/30/2014 and purchase and take delivery of a 2013 Dodge Dart. She was quoted $394 x 60 and then she elected to add a 7 year MaxCare Chrysler extended warranty and also a 5 year Ultimate protection plan covering Tires and wheels, windshield, ding and dent for paintless dent repair and also Key replacement for lost keys it was the purchase of these 2 items that made her payment go $436 x 60. She did come in the next day with her sister and state that she had buyers remorse but if we gave her $10,000 for her trade she would be happy to which her sister stated " you will absolutely not take anything less than $11400 for the trade since that is what Kelly Blue Book says". The sister also proceeded to tell us she had 3 days to return the car and change her mind to which we told her that is not the law and we have a legal contract. We explained that the trade in needed work and that is why it was appraised for $8000. The trade was put in our shop for a reconditioning check and we were informed by the mechanic that it needed 2 front tires, front brakes, and a radiator along with some other small items. The bill for the mechanical work was a little over $1900 plus the fact the car needed both bumpers repainted along with 3 of the 4 fender flares repainted due to large scrapes that tokk the paint off. The car also needed the leather seat repaired with a panel and the headliner dyed from previous water stains due to the sunroof previously leaking. All in all we elected to dispose of the car at an auction since it would be to costly to recondition the car for resale. We figure all this work into an appraisal on used cars as values are based on good saleable condition. We did estimate [redacted]s payoff at $600 like she said it was and the payoff was actually $480 so that it what we sent to her lending institution and refunded the $120 overage to [redacted] does not have to pay interest on the $120 for the whole loan as she states she simply can send the $120 we sent her to Chrysler Capital along with her first payment and it will lower the principal amount of the loan and that will be taken care of. I believe that should explain the whole transaction and show nothing changed on the deal from start to finish except for the extra items that were opted for. In closing I am sorry that [redacted] was made to feel that her trade value was not enough after the fact but as you can see the trade does not even project as a future profit for us as we are not retailing the vehicle.

[redacted] did indeed purchase a 2014 Ram Pickup from us and she asked us to install the bedliner and step rails for her. We told [redacted] that it would be a drop in bedliner and not a spray in liner to which she replied that is fine that is good enough for him. We also told her that it would be a $1050 charge to install the 2 items and she said okay please put it in my finance package with the bank. [redacted] then signed all the papers and left the truck with us to have the items installed. [redacted] came back the next day to pick up the truck after everything was installed and said everything was perfect. The next day her husband came in on his usual UPS route as he is our UPS delivery driver screaming and yelling at the sales manager that we screwed him and we owe him $500 and he wants a check for that amount. He stated we charged him $1050 and the cost of the items is only $550 to which the sales manager said [redacted] we paid $825 for the items to be installed and we are entitled to make a profit that is why we are in business and that is our normal markup. Mr [redacted] then told him we are not entitled to a profit and wanted to scream some more to which we told him to please leave or we would call UPS and request another driver. Now this is all after we sold [redacted] another truck 2 days before that she signed all of the papers and drove the truck home only to come back the next day and say I don't like this truck it doesn't wow me. So even though we didn't have to we took that truck back and let her pick this truck out. We have accommodated them with the return of one truck but we cannot just eat the parts that were installed on the truck for them especially since that is exactly what [redacted] who is the person that individually bought the truck asked for, agreed to and inspected and took delivery of after the items were already installed.
Sincerely,
Brandywine Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
HI THIS IS [redacted] IN RESPOND TO BOB JONES REPLY WHAT HE TOLD Revdex.com WAS COMPLETELY FALSE AND PURE SPECULATION . HE WAS NOT PRESENT WHEN I SIGNED CONTRACT .NOR WAS HE PRESENT WHEN MY HUSBAND SPOKE TO HIS SERVICE MANAGER [redacted] .AFTER BUYING 4 TRUCKS AND SENT AT LEAST 6 CUSTOMERS THERE THAT PURCHASED VEHICLES YOU WOULD THINK THAT WE WOULD HAVE BEEN TREATED WITH RESPECT AND A LOT BETTER .I CALLED THERE AND LEFT MESSAGES FOR BOB JONES TO CALL ME BACK AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK SO HOW DID HE. TRY TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM .. THERE JUST SWEEPING PROBLEM UNDER THE RUG.MY HUSBAND CALLED THE SALESMAN AS SOON AS HE GOT HOME FROM WORK WHEN HE SEEN WHAT CHEAP MATERIALS WAS PUT ON HIS 50000.DOLLAR TRUCK AND TOLD HIM IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE. SO HE WAITED FOR A CALL BACK BECAUSE BOB JONES WAS GONE FOR THE DAY HE WOULD CALL HIM SATURDAY AND NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. WHAT I WOULD LIKE THEM TO DO IS UP GRADE BED LINER TO A SPRAY LINER BECAUSE THE BED LINER THAT IN THERE NOW WILL TRAP IN WATER AND RUST THE BED OF THE TRUCK OUT AND BETTER SIDE STEPS THAT ARE MORE STURDY.I PAID 1050. DOLLARS FOR THESE MATERIAL THAT CAME TO 550. DOLLARS SOOOOOO IS 500. DOLLARS THEIR NORMAL MARK UP ?????????????????????????
Review: I Purchased a vehicle from Brandywine Chrysler Jeep Dodge months ago. I have been waiting for my new Delaware issued License plate. My temporary tag expired in September and I have been driving my vehicle with expired temporary tags for 3 months now. In these 3 months I've tried to call and get a hold of the salesman I purchased the vehicle from multiple times with no answer and no returned phone call after I left multiple messages. I went to the dealership and asked for help and no one could tell me what was going on and no one knew of this situation. I am still waiting for my tags which I paid for when I purchased the vehicle.Desired Settlement: I want my license plate and I believe I deserve some sort of complimentary service in return for the lack of professionalism and the headaches I've had to deal with just to get in touch with the salesman. Not to mention the time and money wasted going back and forth to the dealership and on the phone for someone else's mistake.

Response:
[redacted]We have spoken to [redacted] and we have ordered him a replacement license plate for the one that was lost and we also mailed him another temporary tag so he is legal to drive on. Furthermore we offered [redacted] a free oil and filter change along with a full tank of gas for his inconvenience. We apologized profusely as this was totally our mistake.Sincerely,
Review: I recently purchased a used Vehicle in March two days later the car was not running properly and had to be serviced since March 5th my vehicle had been serviced over 9 times for the same issue, I asked the owner to be sold a different vehicle they gave me a price for a vehicle which was 100 more a month and out of my budget the owner proceeded to have a disagreement with me on the sales floor and when asked to have money back for the vehicle told me no he is not doing that and all he will do is "fix" it, my car currently is being "fixed" now and they have had the vehicle since June 1st and still no resolution. I currently have a loaner car since that time and I have told them on numerous occasions that the tire needs to be replace needless to say they did nothing to repair the tire and now today I have a flat tire and have to drive the loaner to be replaced they did not offer to even pick the car up to get serviced. In all they have terrible business practices and treated me horribly during this whole process, not to mention I paying a car note for a car that I have not had in over a month.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the down deposit given for the vehicle refunded so that I may purchase a proper working vehicle for my family. I have suggested them trading my vehicle for another but they will not lower the price that can suit my budget at the present time.

[redacted]In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint he did indeed buy a 2008 Saturn Vue from us in March of 2015. Mr [redacted] came back in March for a check engine light so we gave him a 2015 Chrysler 200 to drive and sent his car to Porter Chevrolet to repair and they replaced the throttle positioning sensor as well as the knock sensor. We paid Porter in full for the repair and returned the car to Mr. [redacted] at no charge to him. Mr. [redacted] then returned on 4/20/2015 and stated that his radio shut off intermittently and there was a noise when taking his foot off the gas. We again gave Mr. [redacted] a 2015 Chrysler 200 to drive and sent his car to Porter unfortunately the car came back from Porter when they could not duplicate the problem. Mr. [redacted] called the next week with the same problem with the radio so we had him come in and drive the car with our used car manager we then gave Mr. [redacted] the 2015 200 to drive and took the car to Porter and demonstrated what Mr. [redacted] showed us. Porter diagnosed the problem and replaced the Body Control Module for which we paid them in full and returned the car to Mr. [redacted] at no charge to him. On 5/18/2015 Mr. [redacted] said his oil light came on when making a right turn and the car was making a ticking noise when slowing down from highway speeds. He also said there was a sloshing sound under the hood. We again gave Mr. [redacted] the 2015 200 to use and sent the car to Porter it turns out the car now has over 5000 more miles on it from when it was purchased and it is 1 quart low on oil so Porter does an oil and filter change to rectify the oil light and ticking noise and purges the cooling system to rectify the sloshing noise. We again pay Porter in full for the repairs and return the car to Mr. [redacted] at no charge even though the oil and filter is his responsibility for general maintenance. That brings us to June 1st when Mr. [redacted] states that the radio is acting up again and that sometimes the car wont turn over when turning the key so we again put him in the 2015 200 to use and send the car to Porter. As of today 6/23/2015 Porter tells us the car is fixed and is coming back this afternoon and that they found an electrical short in the negative battery cable where it attaches to the main ground. We paid for the repair in full at no charge to Mr. [redacted]. In my opinion we have been more than fair to Mr. [redacted] as we have provided him with a newer and more expensive car to drive every time he has had a problem and we have paid 100% for all the repairs with no charge to him. We offered to trade him out of the car for a new Jeep Patriot and give him exactly what he paid for the car but he refused because the payment is higher. We explained that he paid $11399 for the Saturn and the new car is over $20000 so the payment has to be higher since you are financing more. We tried in vain to get a similar priced used car financed for him but the bank declined the loan due to credit issues. We have addressed every problem he has had at no charge to him and even gave him the loaner car at no charge and then we had the State Police come in looking for him when he was driving the loaner car because he was driving at such at high rate of speed on I95 weaving in and out of traffic they could not safely pursue him but got the license plate number. Last week he returned our loaner car with a blown out sidewall on the tire to which we replaced at no cost to him and put him in another car. In closing we have offered him options to trade the car which he refused and we have addressed all the repairs at no cost to him. I feel we have gone above and beyond for Mr. [redacted]Respectfully,
