Review: I had a very difficult experience with this company last year when my last name was [redacted]. I have since divorced and changed my name. I have called their Union Hills location, as well as their Corporate Office location multiple times and asked to be removed from their mailing lists. I still continue to receive advertisements, dental visit reminders, and coupons from this company, regarding their services. I have expressed disdain for this company and expressed multiple times that I wish to not be contacted by them ever again. I have no desire for their junk mail, and have run out of options. The last piece of junk mail I received from them was approximately March 5th, 2014 for a coupon off of their services. I immediately called their company, requesting myself and my son ([redacted]) once again to be removed from their mailing list, as I want NOTHING to do with this company. I was again assured that I would be removed from their lists. Yesterday I opened my mailbox, and once again, received the same piece of junk mail advertising their services that I received less than a month ago. The Union Hills location (which I visited last year) assured me that they had no control over mailers, and that it did not come from their office, however, that is the return address listed on the envelopes and mail I receive. I am starting to feel harassed... some might think, "It's just junk mail; throw it away," but to me it's more than that. It's a constant reminder of the belittlement I felt and continue to feel from this company every time I receive mail from them. They black-listed me and refused to see me because I told them I felt they did not really care about their patients, however, they still seem to want my business. I also wrote a long-overdue review about my experience on Yelp.com approximately March 5th, 2014, however, I will copy and paste it below for you. I have also attached a photograph of the most recent junk mail I received, which is identical to the one received Approximately March 5, 2014.Desired Settlement: Solution: I wish to no longer receive any contact from Bright Now Dental via mailers, junk mail, advertisements, etc.

Thank you for your consideration of my complaint, [redacted]

Review: On 12-17-13 I called [redacted] Dental to see if my insurance will replace my dentures. They had me come there to fill out paper for my insurance to approve the work to be done. Once they called my insurance [redacted]. I was called to come back to get my dentures. They completed the work on my dentures and pulled 2 of my bottom teeth. Once they were done I was told all I will be responsible for is the amt of the 2 bottom teeth before they did the dentures I was told to have my insurance is to okay it. They denied it because it was to high to do it. The provider that did the work was under investigation [redacted] which no longer works there. I was told that my dentures were free was done now I m being told I have to pay. Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Review: This company has over-billed for services performed for my wife, in excess of the amounts negotiated with my insurance carrier, Delta Dental WA. We submitted the Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to the credit card company and they correctly reversed the charges but the company has added them back to our bill.In addition, this company has not submitted the information required by our insurance company for them to process the claim. I have had more than a dozen phone calls with their billing department but they still have not complied.Desired Settlement: 1) I would like Bright Now to remove the charges in excess of the amounts on the EOBs received from Blue Cross/Blue Shield2) I would like Bright Now Dental to provide the information requested by Delta Dental WA so that they can process the claim

Review: Billing issue with Newport Denta[redacted]

Started service on 6/29/13 with teeth cleaning. Given estimate needed one re-treat root canal, 5 teeth pulled, 5 bone grafts and 1 lower partial. On 7/9/13 had consult for re-treat root canal (ins pd in full). On 8/26/13 had re-treat root canal. Immediately following re-treat root canal, next dentist to pull on crown said tooth was bad, needed to be pulled. NEW IMPRESSION FOR PARTIAL NEVER DONE. Stopped all further treatment. Had paid $499.98 first visit. had paid $848.79 to finance company. Company sent letter stating they had refund available on 11/8/13 but they never sent. Have certified letter receipt sent to them. Have been working with Finance company since 2013 (have faxes from 2015) yet still have not received refund.Desired Settlement: Refund

Review: My Dental health insurance listed Bright Now Dental as one of their preferred partners, my crown fell out and noticed that it had a hole in it. Bright now Dental took x-rays of my mouth and copied my insurance card. they contacted my insurance and told me what the dental work was going to cost me. I paid that figure in two payments when I had dental work done. 4 months later they are billing me for the same amount that they billed the insurance. now one of two situations is occurring, one they are committing fraud or, two they lied to me about my portion of the bill and figured if they billed me later I wouldn't be concerned. any business must stick to their initial pricing. I went to Bright Now Dental for two months and they never talked to me about increasing my portion of the bill. this isn't business this is stealing from Colorado residents, I paid $2,400.00 in cash.

I expect them to send a bill that states it was paid in full.

Review: This company has been misbilling me for two years and now has referred me to an outside agency. My son was contracted for dental work there, which he did not finish because there was a different orthodontist there every month (think circus). They never billed my insurance, I have called them every month for a services-rendered bill so that I can pay once insurance pays their portion. They continue to charge me for services that were never rendered and without insurance payments. Incompetence all the way around. Pretty scary. They have promised every month for two plus years that the District Manager would call me-and he/she has never called. Beware of this business. Find your neighborhood orthodontist that you can build a relationship with, so the same thing doesn't happen to you!Desired Settlement: I would like for the District Manager to pull the account from the collection agency that they have sent, call me and let me pay the true amount that is due. I will not pay a contract price for services that my child never received and I will not pay full price for services that insurance should cover but was never billed for due to an incompetent office manager/staff.

Review: My families dental needs are covered by a dental plan we have with [redacted]. The premiums that we pay each month for this insurance policy allows us coverage for teeth cleanings. When we schedule appointments with BrightNow Dental for a cleaning, and after we have made the trip to keep the appointment, and waited in the waiting room with our children, we are told that it is the Dentist's recommendation that we would need to receive instead a "deep cleaning" at the rate of $250. In a telephone conversation with their attendant on March 14, 2015, I asked if the BrightNow Dental staff was stating that they would not honor the insurance contract that we had with [redacted] and provide the covered services, and they responded that they had no intention of providing this covered service.Desired Settlement: We are filing this complaint with our local congressional offices, as we believe that the policies of a health provider to deny the services covered by a legally purchased insurance policy held in good faith constitutes criminal behavior and has the potential to incur great damage to people of moderate means and the community at large. We ask that BrightNow Dental cease this practice immediately, and apologize to my wife in writing for the denial of service for covered conditions.

Review: Company has yet to refund original overpayment of $77. Following month, deducted another payment of $108.00 after told account was paid in full and $35.00 overdrafted account. Went in to office, Told by Ortho Supervisor, [redacted], it would be refunded to me within 10 days. Followed up with company on August 14th letting them know I still had not received the reimbursement or check. Called local office again on 8/18/14. Left a message again for [redacted] for a return call for resolution. Louie called claiming they mailed me a check on Aug 14th. I stated I have not received it and asked them to directly transfer the money into the account they withdrew the funds from. Have called the office every week looking for a resolution and reimbursement over overpayment of funds. To date, they owe me $77 dollars for July 2014 and $143.00 for August 2014. I have contacted corporate office today in Irvine and was tranferred back to local office who just gives me the run around. This has been ongoing for over a month without resolution. It does not take 30+days to track a check to show it was not cashed nor reimburse me the money that was overdeducted.Desired Settlement: I am requesting an immediate refund of $220.00.

Review: In late February 2015 I went for a regular appt and was told I need two crowns . In March went in for the crowns. I was given the amount the [redacted] Dental Insurance would pay and the co payment I owed. I made a full payment of $1100 for amount I owed after insurance coverage. In August I received an EOB tooth #18 payment was declined because per [redacted] there was no decay on tooth to require a crown. I called the dentist to ask if this was a misdiagnosis on there part they said they have xray of the decay and will resubmit the claim to insurance. In Septembef 2015 I receive an invoice from them and collections call. I called the office and they said they haven't received a payment and asked why because I haven't received EON from [redacted] Dental Inurance declining payment. I called [redacted] and they said they haven't received anything from them. Then dental say they will resubmit and contact me if they here anything. Then I receive an invoice in Dec 2015 and call that my account will go to collections. I ask them I disputed those charges and I'm waiting for them to call me on the issue if it was resolved as agreed upon in Sept 2015. The dentist office said we don't sibmit cliams it's done through corporate office and I asked did Corporate get an EOB that charges were declined and she said no. I told her to call corporate to place the account on hold not to go into collections until they resolve their internal issues. If the misdiagnosis was correct then I believe they don't want to accept it and just harrass me until I pay the bill. I have right to know why since Sept 2015 they haven't resubmitted the claim if they have documentation to support the diagnosis that required a crown.Desired Settlement: I would they mail me a copy of the documents sent to my insurance and also copies of EOB received after the claim was resubmitted. If this was misdiagnosis then they need to write off the charges since they are liable for performing services that were not required. If these charges legit then they need to submit the documentation requested by [redacted] Dental Insurance for them to pay the charges. I want them to contact me with a resolution to have the account paid and closed.

Also resolve conflict of Delta Delta claim# [redacted] amount patient pay $52.60. Stanton office charged $55.10 on 11/22/13 day of visit receipt #[redacted],

Review: My front tooth broke and I needed a Saturday dentist. I called Bright Now Dental on friday to verify that they were in the network for my dental insurance. they said they were and I ended up with a root canal and a bridge, etc. The work was shoddy . I still do not have my bridge done correctly - they ordered the wrong color and the tooth was twice the size of my original tooth. My insurance is denying the claim because they said the dentist is not in network. When I called Bright Now they insisted that they spoke with the insurance company and the dentist that delivered the bridge is in network and that they put in the claim at that time and it would be covered. I find out that almost all the dentists at Bright Now are in Network except the one that they assigned to do my dental work. They sent it in again with that same dentist and it was denied again. this whole thing is a nightmare! There are also charges on the payment plan for a disinfection cleaning which I did not have and do not plan to have with them.Desired Settlement: I want the charges removed from my monthly bill for the cleaning/disinfection. I want Bright Now Dental to cover all the charges denied by my insurance. I want a partial refund for the bridge work - I have had to come back more times than necessary and as of this date, I still do not have my permanent bridge. I have paid $233 to date.

Review: My daughter had braces put on and the appointment was over 3 hours long. I was not happy with the service, so I looked into transferring orthodontists. Bright Now Dental would not terminate my contract without me paying $750 in fees. I had already paid $99 down and my first month's payment of $145.50 when I requested to cancel. I did not ask for a refund, but was not going to pay an additional $500 for poor quality and service. I've had many phone conversations with the office manager, but am still waiting for the supervisor (corporate) to call me. I did some research and come to find out that this orthodontist is not even licensed to practice in Colorado. I've been in contact with [redacted] to file a complaint. Now I want a full refund.

Full refund

Review: I was overcharged for dental work by $563.00 for work done on 12/26/13. I contacted the office after noticing the overcharge on 1/4/14. I was told the amount would be returned to my card the following Monday. I received my AMEX statement and the charge had not been returned. I called again on 2/1/14 and was told that they did not have my correct card information so she took it again (If that is the case why didn't someone call me and ask for the correct number?). She told me she would call me on Monday 2/3/14. I did not receive a call. I called on 2/8/14 and asked for the Office Manager and was told she was with a customer. I left my information for her to call me back and again no call at all.Desired Settlement: I want the $563.00 returned to my card and the interest for January and February for them not returning the amount as agreed to.

Review: I OVER PAID ON A BILL. THEY SENT ME A LETTER LATER TO RETURN THE SIGNED FORM WITHIN 30 DAYS,OR FORFEIT THE OVERPAYMENT. I SENT IT BACK THE NEXTDAY. I HAVE BEEN CALLING, BEEN IN THE OFFICE, THEY KEEP TELLING ME NEXT WEEK,OR ITS COMING FROM ANOTHER OFFICE. ITS BEEN ABOUT SEVEN WEEKS NOW AND STILL NO REFUND. CALL AGAIN TODAY PUT OFF AGAIN.Desired Settlement: REFUND OF MY [redacted].

Review: I visited Bright Now Dental in Rancho Cucamnga and I do not have additional coverage to denti-cal. After being told my tooth was infected and needed to be extracted I told them this was fine. This was covered under dentical. The manager [redacted] continued to try to push me to have cosmetic replacements put in and I explained I couldn't afford it that day. She was annoyed and sent the dentist back in. After the procedure the dentist explained to me I would need antibiotic shot in my gum and it was 50.00 and that the manager went over this with me. I told her that the manager didn't go over that with me so she told me she would apply t and not to worry about the cost. I am having major pain after the extraction and called to schedule an appointment to look at it.When I went back into he office the manager told me I had a balance that needed to be paid BEFORE the dentist would see me. I explained what the dentist told me and the manager said I was lying about it. So I left and said I will reschedule. After I left the manager left me a long message saying I was lying about the 50.00 and thats why I left. I've called back and was told they had the right to refuse service because I lied about n having to pay. My mouth still is in extreme pain. They also would not p;provide me with their corporate office informationDesired Settlement: To find out why my mouth is hurting from another location and an apology from that location because of the message I was left.

Review: I paid my bill on time me since December 2015 yet they r still reporting me as 90-120 days lateDesired Settlement: Update credit report as current since December 15

Response:

Smile Brands Finance has properly posted all payments received. The account has been reported to Equifax accurately.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I do not accept the outcome.

Review: I broke a front tooth and needed a dentist right away that was open on a Saturday. I called on Friday gave my insurance plan carrier and number and I was told that it was accepted.

The work was shoddy. I had a bridge put in and had to return several times to get the tooth even somewhat close to the right size and color. (still not happy with it) and I am stuck in a payment plan paying for shoddy work.

The claim keeps being denied because they keep submitting a dentist that the insurance company says is not an EPO dentist. They told me they would submit it with the dentist that did the delivery and they never did . the insurance carrier says they are not in the network and refuse to pay.

Their practices are deceptive and fraudulent.Desired Settlement: I want Bright Now Dental to pay the remainder of my share of cost.( about $1900) and also the amount that would have been covered by my insurance ( about $1200)

Review: Was seen by dentist in Nov, was given an itemized detail of bill, payed my copay and my deductible. Now 6 months later got a bill for another $140 (already paid $210 on a $700 bill). They only offer composite fillings and not amalgan fillings. Insurance ([redacted]) will not cover composite fillings on back teeth, something Bright Now! Dental office should know dealing with [redacted] daily! When I have called the office about this and voiced my dissatisfaction was told that I will be sent to collections and they will "report this to my supervisors" which means nothing will be done and I will get sent to collections if I don't pay right away. I was never offered different fillings or told that the composite fillings will be more expensive.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I actually would like the remaining balance writen off and for them to change their workflow so that this doesn't happen to another patient.

Review: June 11, 2015 I had a dental bridge placed by Bright Now Dental. On November 23rd I contact Bright Now to let them know that the bridge had broken. The dentist was busy and could not see me. I went to another dentist in San Marcos . The Dentist did an x-ray & exam. The Dentist did let me know that the bridge was made out of the wrong material .On 12/1/15 I did go and meet with the Dentist & Office Manager at Bright Now Dental [redacted]. Dentist did offer to replace my bridge in stronger material for free. I did explain I was disappointment that bridge was not put in correctly the 1st time also was very concerned about reading poor reviews about their practice. Dentist & office manager did let me know they would get back with me in a couple of days. Office never called me back. I did reach office on 12/4/15. Office manager did request I send my x-rays which I did send to her. As of 12/12/15 I have not been contacted by their office.Desired Settlement: Full Refund.

Review: I went to this business for my wife's dental needs. I gave them my insurance card and they told me that my insurance has a waiting period for major operations, so they told me to apply for credit and I did. I got approved for $1800. they qouted me $1,468.66 for the operation, I put down $207.72 and I will have a monthly payments of $105.08 starting 11/18/2014 to 10/18/2015. december 2014 I got a bill for $1,427.20 I just ignored it because I thought it was a mistake because they are taking payments automatically from my bank account every 18th of the month. but then I got one more january of 2015 so I went to the store to ask them and they said they will look into it, it turns out that they still charged my insurance even though they know that my insurance will not cover it because of the waiting period, so i've been complaining to them ever since and they are telling me that the previous manager is not on that branch anymore and what they can do is pay half and I pay half which I declined because it is unfair for me to pay it since I am not informed of it from the first time that me and my wife got the qoute. and it is clearly a mistake from they're part. now bright now dental sent me a letter saying that my account will go to an external collection agency.Desired Settlement: I would like them to be responsible and pay the bill and do the right thing.
