Review: I purchased a 2008 Mitsubishi lancer Evolution from this dealership on 8/13/13, and today (12-19-13) is the date I'm still waiting for my plates. I have not driven my car for about two months because I do not have the plates. Also, the dealer did not pay my trade-in on time, and I had to pay two more months because it would affect my credit if I did not. The delaer have to refund me $445 for those two months they did not pay my trade-in. I went to the dealer a few times, but they did not want to do anything. I have had this car for about four(4) months, and still no license plates. They will just give stories, and excuses. I have talked to the owner, managers, clerks, and nothing. Im tired of this situation, and I cannot even drive my car.

Thank You.Desired Settlement: I want $600 besides the $445 they already owe me for the time I have been calling, and all the gas and time I wasted going to the dealership. I want my license plates, so I can drive my car.

Review: On August 8 2013, I went to the dealership as a referred customer to meet with salesperson [redacted]. to look at and test drive a 2011 BMW 328i. @2door coupe. After test driving the vehicle I decide to submit a credit application. stating that I worked a Open Road BMW and I made $24k- $25k a year and a second job with [redacted] making aprx $15k a year. I was told that I was approved for the loan. So, I traded in my 2010 Honda Civic Black Ex 2 Door Coupe. with aprox 42k miles on it. So, I went and met with the Finance guy by the name of [redacted] who no longer works for the company. [redacted] when over the paperwork with me , He explained to me that the new finance company ([redacted]) would be requiring me to put $2,000 down payment... I explained to [redacted] and [redacted] that I would not be able to afford that Down Payment and I only agreed to a $1000.oo down payment on the vehicle. So, the sales person Mr. * says we will let you make a promissory note of $1500.oo So I drove off the lot with the vehicle. I later returned making 2 payment of $321 / $ 300 for a total of $621.00. which leaves a balance of $1400.00 . A week or two after I received a call from [redacted] explaining to me that the Finance company would be contacting me to get the deal funded. I was able to speak with the representative by the name of [redacted] from [redacted] . I'm under the impression that everything the Honda Civic taken care of. until I received a call from [redacted] on 08/22 requesting to know when was I going to make the payment. I explained to the representative that the vehicle should have been paid off because it was traded in on 8/08/13.. She informed me that the payoff had changed since then to $16.664.70 and for me to contact the dlrshp for a pay off date.. I contacted the dlrshp the same day speaking with mr * via Text and phone requesting the status of my pay off.. He explained that it takes a couple of days but the check will be mailed to [redacted].Desired Settlement: As of today. My previous vehicle has yet to be paid off which as of today has a balance due of $17.391.78 ....I continue to be contacted by [redacted] requiring the status of the pay off I have done nothing but cooperate with them. In addition, my credit has been ruined with 3 negative strikes. and being told that the previous loan is my responsibility until the car is paid off... On October 8. I have made a car payment on a new car. In regards to the $1400.00 balance I explained to [redacted] and [redacted] that I could not make the original agreeded promissory note payments for the dates of 9/27/ 10/4 because the payment my credit was already ruin due to the status of the traded car not being paid off. I yet to receive my paperwork for proof of ownership of the vehicle. I feel like a Honest Guy, Hardworking Guy has been taken advantage of. My Desired Outcome is have this issue resolved by having me placed back into my previous vehicle or Refund me all money that I paid them.

Review: For starters... They pulled the old "bait and switch" on me... The car advertised had 59,XXX miles and the car I saw when I got to the dealership had 65,XXX miles... Second the car is a 2007 BMW 335i which requires 4 run flat tires because the car doesn't come with a spare tire... I received the car with one run flat and 3 regular tires. I called and complained and was told the three tires would be replaced with used tires that are run flat. I brought them the car back and on the way got two flat tires, I contacted [redacted] and got the car towed to the dealership. A week later I had to go back again only to find out they "fixed it" but they only put two run flats on it one ripped and one was losing tire pressure and I don't notice until the next morning. I called back over and over again leaving countless messages for [redacted] and [redacted] (the owner) and now he said they will only put two run flats on the car saying that I was the one who ruined the tires and leave the two normal tires which I have to pay for to change when I had not gotten the tires that were suppose to be on the car to begin with... So I made two car and insurance payments and drove the car for two weeks only and now I have to take it back a THIRD time to fix the tires. All four tires are of different manufacturers with different tread patterns and the vehicle does not handle correctly and swerves on the road making the car a danger to my safety and the safety of other drivers around me. Third instead of fixing my radio which didn't work originally because the factory amplifier was missing they took out the original BMW radio cut the wires and bypassed the amp. So the radio isn't working correctly leaving it unsafe because the speakers aren't being powered correctly which can cause issues with fuses and wires within the car.Desired Settlement: 1 - the tires to be changed to the correct tires (run-flats)

2 - the factory amplifier to be replaced and factory radio re-installed.

3 - reimbursement by dealership for one months payments made on the vehicle (car payment $444 and insurance $195) for repairs taking more than a month to be resolved and me having to drive the vehicle back and forth twice and towed to their dealership twice because of flat tires.

4 - an apology and to not ignore me and tell me they will call me back and never do.

Review: At the time of purchased warranty with the purchase of my vehicle, I was informed that I could cancel the warranty at anytime. I contacted the warranty company [redacted] which informed me that the dealership had to send the paperwork to cancel it. I spoke with [redacted] from Brilliance Auto, who deals with the warrant, on January 12, 2015. [redacted] mentioned it would take about 2 weeks to cancel it. Two weeks went by and I called the credit company to check on the status but come to find out they did not receive anything. I spoke with [redacted] on January 22, 2015, and she told me she had sent out all forms for cancellation. I spoke to her again on February 18, 2015 and March 04, 2015 but the ONLY response I get from her is that [redacted], her boss, has to ask for a check. I presume that almost 3 months to cancel a warranty is a little ridiculous especially when multiple calls have been made to cancel the warranty and still to this day no call backs.Desired Settlement: Warranty cancelled and sent to [redacted] acceptance as soon as possible.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

There was an issue with the amount less than 78.xx% was paid out to [redacted] by the dealership. Would like to give the dealership a little more time to see if this problem will be fixed within a week and a half.

Review: I purchased a 2007 Nissan Maxima from this dealership in March of this year. At which time I was assured that everything works in the vehicle. In April I took the vehicle back due to the A/C wasn't working. They stated they fixed the issue. It did work that day, though I did not try to use the A/C until last week. At which time, I did and it did not work. I called them and told them the issue, I was advised to bring the car back No one told me I would be fully charged for bringing it back for them to check. I get there and was told I would be fully billed for the check and repair. This is unfair to me. I've only had the car for 4 months now. Also, they never gave me any paperwork pertaining to the sale except for my registration and plates. I received no sale agreement. I spoke to a gentlemen their that stated he would look into a discount and call me back which was on 7/25/13. To date, I have not heard anything.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to actually check and repair the A/C so it is working. I am willing to pay 30% of the bill due to my stupidity of trusting this dealership and their practices. I would also like a copy of all the documents I signed at time of purchase. The car is finance.

My credit was horrible and dealers will not help me. I felt helpless, I found a car I wanted on a Google search I called them. They asked me to fill out a credit app online. [redacted] called me back within 30min. Told me I was pre approved and I went there and I drove away.
Thanks Brilliance Auto

Review: I bought a used car from this dealer about a week ago and purchased a warranty with it. I did not need the warranty and felt like I was "suckered" into buying it so I wanted to return it. I also traded in my old vehicle and was promised $3,500 for it by the salesman and was only given $2,600. A day after the deal was made I called as soon as they opened to restructure without the trade in and warranty. I was told that it can be done and when I came in to speak to the general manager he told me different. He gave me a hard time about the trade and the warranty, howerver he said to come in the next day to discuss it. When I came in the next day I learned that my trade-in was already sent to be serviced. I kept pursuing the waranty but was told that it couldn't be done without changing the price of the car (Note: I bought the warranty after the price was negotiated). I spok to a salesman who told me I just simply need to call the warranty company to cancel it so I did jus that. The warranty company told me that I had to go through the dealer because the paperwork wasn't pushed through. I called the dealer back and I was told to call the bank to cancel the warranty. I did that too. The bank told me that I couldn't cancel through them and that I have to go through the dealer. I feel like no one is making an effor to help me or the dealer is avoiding the cancellation to make a comission on the sale. After calling the bank I learned that the warranty was for only 24 month and cost $2,600. I was under the impression that I had bought a $4,000 warranty. I have limited knowledge of this deal because I was provided with no paperwork. I may have been to eager and unprepared to do the deal but I know I have the right to cancel my warranty at anytime.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel my waranty and have the refund prorated to the day after the deal when I first requested to cancel. I would also like the amount that was promised to me for my trade in.

Review: I FINANCED A VEHICLE FROM BRILLIANCE AUTO IN OCTOBER 2015. I TRADED IN MY VEHICLE WHICH WAS A 2003 [redacted] AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET 1500 FOR MY TRADE IN BY JOHN TOWARDS MY DOWN PAYMENT, AND I WAS NOT GIVEN THAT, I NEVER RECEIVED ANY CONTRACT. THE BANK ENDED UP SENDING MY THE CONTRACT AND THAT IS HOW WE FOUND OUT WE WERE ONLY GIVEN 1000 FOR MY TRADE IN.

THE VEHICLE I PURCHASED HAD A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD, AND THE RIGHT MUFFLER WAS MESSED UP, AND THE POWER STEERING NEEDED TO BE FIXED, WHICH THE SERVICE MANAGER ROLAND, JOHN, AND PAUL APPROVED TO BE FIXED.

IT IS NOW FEBRUARY 04TH, 2016 AND NO ONE HAS ADDRESSED ANY OF THESE ISSUES. I DROPPED MY VEHICLE OFF TODAY FOR THE ISSUES TO BE FIXED AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY VEHICLE BACK. THEY DID NOT GIVE ME A LOANER VEHICLE AND NO ONE NEVER CALLED TO LET ME KNOW MY VEHICLE WASN'T GOING TO BE FIXED. NIAH NEVER CALLED ME BACK, AND WHEN I ASKED TO PICK MY VEHICLE BACK UP I WAS TOLD I CAN'T BECAUSE NONE OF THE MECHANICS ARE THERE TO GIVE ME MY VEHICLE.

THEY ARE SO UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ONCE THE BANK FINANCES THE VEHICLE. THEY LIE AND GIVE THE RUN AROUND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM BRILLLIANCE AUTO AGAIN. THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM HAVE A DEALERSHIP.

I GOT THE VEHICLE DIRTY THEY DID NOT EVEN WASH OR DETAIL IT! IT TOOK THEM 2 MONTHS TO GET ME IN TO DETAIL THE VEHICLE! HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT!

TO TOP IT OFF ROLAND NO LONGER WORKS HERE. ALSO PAUL IS NO LONGER THERE. FROM THE DAY I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE JOHN HAS NEVER SAID A WORD AGAIN. I RATE THIS BUSINESS WITH AN F I WISH I NEVER WENT THERE!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANY OF THEIR VEHICLES!!!!Desired Settlement: I JUST WANT WHAT WAS PROMISED TO ME! I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE FIXED AS I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITH THE DAMAGES, AND THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON I PURCHASED IT!

Review: one month ago I got a car from BIG LOUS WHEELS IN MOTION,IN union,nj.the was 2005 Honda accord with 76000 miles on the odometer.the salesman name who sold me the car was [redacted],he asked how much money do I have to put down I told him 2500.00,he first said ok then came back a week late stating that he need 1000,00 dollars more.I told him that I don't have it now but maybe we can arrange to pay it a little at a time each month.the car lot suppose to have my new license plate available within one month, now they said I need 1500,00 more not 1000.00 dollars and now I have to park this car because the temporary license plate has ran out.now they are not returning my calls, I HAVE BEGIN TO MAKE MONTHLY PAYMENT ON THE CAR AND AUTO INSURANCE POLICY.please help. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like settle the deal,I agreeded to pay 1000.00 dollars more if needed.because I like the car BUT I CANNOT DRIVE IT I DONT HAVE LICENSE PLATES.I HAVE MADE A MONTHLY PAYMENY AND ALSO PAID ON A SIX MONTH AUTO INSURANCE POLICY.

Review: I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and have dealt with non- customer service since inception of the process. The salesman promised to make fixtures to the vehicle and never did. My temporary license plates have expired and the dealership is refusing to extend or issue another temp plate although they took the vehicle I traded in and did not pay my previous lender the payoff for the trade in.

I have been calling the dealership relentlessly to no avail and have not received my license plates to date.

Throughout the entire process I have been told by this dealership that this is what happens when you have a sub-prime auto loan.Desired Settlement: I would like to make the deal null and void and would like the vehicle I thought I was trading in back.

Review: A deposit was given on a vehicle of $1000, dealership did not provide customer will full documentation showing the fine print stating this deposit was non refundable.

Took legal size document and copied onto letter size paper cutting all of the fine print off.

After dealership realized the deal was no longer going to happen, they refused to call or respond to requests about the deposit. When I finally went into the dealership in person no paperwork I signed could be produced dealer claims all of this was "shredded".Desired Settlement: Refund of all or most of deposit on car that was not purchased.

Response:

Customer came in for a specific vehicle. We found the 08 Trailblazer SS Black he was looking for and left a $1000.00 deposit and signed the disclosure. He did not check with his insurance about policy increase or any other insurance quotes. We accommodated his financial need by lowering his interest rate. We did everything possible. This is why deposits can be non refundable

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Dealership is stating customer signed a disclosure they no longer have and did not provide the complete disclosure stating deposit was non-refundable. Specifically made a copy of a legal size document on to letter size paper. And if this document was in fact signed and stated that dealer should be able to provide.Deposit was also left with dealer promising to have vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. This took almost a month and customer have to call dealership constantly to even get somewhat of an update. Also, no VIN number was given to make an accurate insurance policy quote, and the insurance is not what killed the deal the co-signer was spoken to extremely rudely, denied the right to know the managers name, this dealership killed the deal on their own based off of actions. All along the sales person was very deceptive, lied about bank offers, loan holders, and refused to give exact VIN number of vehicle.

Review: I recently refinance my car (2009 Honda accord) on April 27,2013 they gave me a temp license plate which expired May 26,2013. I still haven't receive my registration for my car they told me to put my old license plate on the car and drive around with no registration for my car. I also purchased a 2005 Audi. They sold me the car and the brakes were no good the brake lights were working and also there as something wrong with the motor. I had to wait a whole month just for them to fix it. They just fixed my Audi yesterday May 29,2013. They have poor customer service skills they were not very helpful and they have nasty attitudes. They give you the run around and when you ask questions everyone look at you like your crazy. the man that own the dealership has a temper problem and is very nasty with his customers. They were very uncooperative and unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone to that dealership they are bad for business. They sell a lot of cars that have problems but they won't tell you. I seen several people coming there bringing their cars back because something was wrong. A man drove all the way from California it took him two days to bring his car back to their shop because they were problems with his car. They need to be out of business. They treat people with no respect. They also failed giving ne paperwork for my Audi they keep telling ne I have to wait.Desired Settlement: I just want my registration and paper work for my Audi.

Review: On june 9, 2013 Purchased a vehicle from the above named vender and gave my old vehicle as a traded-in. As of today August 7, 2013 the trade-in has not been paid off. I understand that there is a regulation in NJ in which car dealers must pay-off trade in's within a 30 day time period. I have made and spoken to the dealers sale/accounting representatives as well as conferencing a call with the financial company ([redacted])to get this resolved but have been unsuccessful. I am reaching out to you as a last resortDesired Settlement: They need to pay-off the account within the time line required. They also need to contact the credit report personnel and erase my flags and non payment indications due to there incomplete process.

Review: They told me that I was going to pay a TOTAL of $17663 including all necessary fees for a MDX. [redacted] the salesman literally tried to steal my $7000 from my hand before even giving me anything to sign. I wanted them to agree to make repairs to the MDX before I gave them my money. [redacted] the sales manager told me he couldn't begin repairing the MDX until I at least paid a deposit because then it could be charged to my [redacted] warranty. When they gave me the paperwork to sign there was major discrepancies totaling $6553.60! I was told that those extra fees were listed because they had to be listed down but that ultimately they were already rolled into the $17663. [redacted] told me that I would have to commit bank fraud to get financing approved. I told him no & that I wanted my deposit back & to dissolve the transaction because it was signed in the course of committing bank fraud & contracts aren't valid if they are contingent on committing a crime. After more lies, stalling and run-around stories from [redacted] & [redacted], finally [redacted] told me that he doesn't care about the fraud because they were changing finance strategies so that they didn't need to submit income. They only needed to be able to verify that I have a job & the paperwork was signed so I wasn't getting my $7000 back. I’ve spoken to [redacted] & [redacted] to find out what [redacted] had done with my credit. Both companies told me that I needed to talk to the dealer & didn’t want to confirm whether or not they we’re approving a loan for me even after I told them that any applications were fraudulent! They seem to be working with Brilliance Auto against the consumer. All of us customers & the Revdex.com should report Brilliance Auto (dealer #[redacted]) to the Motor Vehicle Commission to have their licensing revoked, maybe collectively sue, since it is so costly to do alone. We could create a class-action lawsuit.Desired Settlement: I want my $7000 back! I want all my personal information back. I want a letter stating that they will never use my personal information & will void all transactions entered into on my behalf. I don't trust that they won't use my information to commit more fraud so if anything comes up, I will have a letter on file. I want them to send letters to all the companies that they contacted in the course of this transaction asking them to void all transactions & inquires, especially the financial & credit reporting companies.

Response:

I filed a complaint against Brilliance Auto in Union, NJ around 4/23/15. We came to an agreement once they got the complaint. How do I edit my previous submission to include the words "I retract my previous disparaging remarks about this organization." I looked on the website and I don't even see my complaint on the internet yet.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
