I ordered a fence to be installed in my backyard in August when I moved to my new houseThey were out the next day to give me an estimate and accept the down payment check for $The check cleared my account the next day I was told the fence would be installed around Labor Day weekend or soon after I waited a month and no call to let me know anything I called them and I was told that the permit for the fence was not applied for yet I cancelled the fence at that time and requested a refund of my down payment-$ I waited not refund was received I started calling the business and asking about my refund I got several different people, usually a different person each time I called I got different reasons why I had not received it yet Often the owner was not available, the owner was out sick, the owner was having family problems, and it goes on and onSo, I kept calling each week sometimes and times a week The same response, they would have to let the owner know This went on and on I told my son I still had not received my refund In December we drove to the address at Almira Ave, Cleveland and had to knock several times with no answer, the door was locked My son went to the rear of the building and found two men there who came to the front door and let us inside My son told them the problem, the one man said he remembers talking to me and said the owner was given the messagesHe gave my son a business card with the owner's phone number and apologized for the problem My son told him that we only wanted the refund My son called and called the number over the next few days and finally got through to the owner Matt M*** and he was very rude When my son told him if he didn't return the money we would take him to court, he said take him to court and he hung up on himMy son then contacted the Revdex.com and reported him and also called and filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General officeIt is now April and still no refundThe Attorney General Office sent me a letter stating that they were unable to contact Matt M***The man and his partners have changed the business name several times, I guess to avoid unsatisfied customers like meAffordable Fence, Budget One Fence, and some others my son was able to find My son was able to get a response from Matt M*** thru an e-mail he sent to himHe responded to my son that he would send me $a month for months My son told him why should I have to wait months for my money when I gave him the full $700.00! He was also told that he was taking advantage of a senior citizen, on a fixed incomeI'm still waiting for the first $check and I'm back to calling their business every week asking about my refundThere are new people in the office now, the man I spoke to stated that he was new and would have to let the owner know that I called Here we go again! No fence and no refund! Matt M***,Debbie M***, and Chris H*** - his business partners should be put in jail because they are scammers and thieves My next move is to call the news stations They can find him and he needs to be exposed to the public before he takes advantage of someone else He is a coward hiding out and lets his employees deal with the complaining customersI don' understand why the Revdex.com and Ohio Attorney General Office can't get this guy and his business partners

Budget Fence does not keep appointments I had nine different appointments where I waited for the installers to come I would call to confirm Then wait, no one would show upI'd call and be informed I was rescheduled We'd make an appointmentI'd call to confirm, wait, call, be rescheduled When the poles were finally installed they were not solid because they did not use much concrete There was a paperwork problem and the gates were not ready on another day I asked the salesman Ed for the fence be installed with the top line straight and the bottom clipped to go over roots This was confirmed with the salesman, an office staff person who visited me, and the installer However, the installer told me he was from North Carolina and he was used to rolling fences over hills In the end it was installed rolling over the roots and I was told this is the standard method When I asked for it to be redone with a flat top pole like it was sold to me I was told, if I did not pay immediately the owner would remove my gates The scheduling manager Don, promised me he would fix it himself by the following Sunday, but like always no one showed up I'm not happy They don't care!

Business responded to complaintThis customer called and told us that she had A POST THAT WAS WARPED AND NOTHING ABOUT A CROOCKED FENCEShe was informed that wood is a natural by product and it is not covered under warranty for cracking ,splitting or warpingThe fence
was in AugustAs for fixing her fence we were going to replace the post as a nice jester until she went down her street to an elderly couple ( that she did not even know) and told them that if she new they were getting a fence from us she would have warned them that we are crooks and that there job would not be done properlyAlso that they were paying too much for there fence and so onThe customer was so upset that he wouldn't say anything to his wife so she wouldn't get upset and called us ,he had never seen this woman beforeThat is when I called her back and told her that as for replacing the post she could forget itThat she had no right to upset our customerShe started to say that she didn't say anything to them, and I just told her good bye and have a nice dayShe did call back and I was in the office along with a customer and he did not swear at her

OUR STAND ON THIS REMAINSHE IS NOT GETTING ANYTHING BACK, HE GOT A PROFESSIONAL JOB AT A GOOD PRICE, AND ITS THE SAME FENCE HE ORDERED, HE IS CLAIMING BAIT AND SWITCHTHIS IS ALL WE ARE GOING SAY ABOUT THIS CUSTOMER , HE HAS NO COMPLAINTS WITH THE WORK OR FENCE, HE THINKS HE GOT CHEATED , HE GOT WHAT HE PAID FOR , THE FENCE HE ORDERED

I admit we did not take care of the problem as quickly as the customer wanted but on the Saturday in question we spoke to Mrs*** 3DAYS PRIOR to let her know that we would positively be there between 1and 2pm to fix the fence(We had
been out prior to that time but the installer just went to see what had to be done.) We did call to let Mrs*** know that we would be arriving around 12pmat which time she told us that we could not come unless we showed all types of ID'sand paperwork because there young daughter is alone and that she really did not want us there when they were not there And she did inform us that she was at The *** in *** and was not going to be home .So we did not goAs for the Sunday an emergency arose with the owners wife and he had to take care of herThe job was taken care of Tuesday 9/30/and Mrs.*** was irate that we did not call for her pemission to go on her property( those are her words)I tried to explain that we had an opening and we wanted to get her repair doneShe did not care about that she didn't want us on her propertyShe kept on SCREEMING AND YELLING at me as I tried to explain that we just wanted to fix the problem She is a very difficult person to communicate with.
She did go home and harassed the installer the whole time he was repairing the fence she wanted us to replace a panel that some how melted on the bottom were you could see it was done with some type of machinery there were black marks all along the bottom of the fenceWe fixed the problem that she called into us and I am sorry it took as long as it did, but she is not an easy person to work with and she needs to work on her people skills as well

everywhere/where you can edge underneath fence with approx. 3 inch to 4 inch spacing from ground.) #[redacted] shows string indicating areas where fence in uneven (there are 3 sections; this is one of them) #[redacted] shows the bottom of the fence buried in grass/dirt (there are 3 sections; this is one of them/where there is no or very little spacing underneath bottom bar of the fence). To summarize – Budget 1 Fence has never come to our house to view our complaint. Thank you, [redacted] & [redacted]

THIS FENCE WAS ALREA  DY DONE BELOW COST BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YR, IT WAS FINISHED ON XMAS EVE OF 2013, THE CONSUMER PAID IN FULL AND THE JOB WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY. THEY CHANGED THE LOCATIONS OF SOME OF THE FENCE ,SO THERE WAS SOME EXTRA. WE OFFERD...

TO GIVE THEM THE MATERIALS A COUPLE PANELS AND 3 POSTS TOTALING 150.00 , THEY NEW IT WAS DONE BELOW COST AND THERE WAS NO REFUNDS . THE COMP INSTALLED AND DID JOB ACCORDING TO CONTRACT, WITH EXCEPTION OF A FEW LOCAT,THAT WER MOVED , THERE WILL NOT BE NO REFUNDS , WE WILL STILL HONOR WARRANTY AND OFFER IS STILL GOOD IF THEY WANT THE 2 XTRA PANELS AND 3 POSTS FREE OF CHARGE, BUT THEY HAVE TI INSTALL, WE DID THE JOB SO QUICK BECAUSE THEY WERE HAVING FAMILY AND DOGS OVER ,SO WE ACCOMODATED THE FAMILY,THI I WERE THE COMP STANDS WITH THIS COMPAINT.

Budget 1 Fence is a scam. If considering this company...run. They basically stole our $3,000.00 deposit. No fence and no refund. We have legal litigation with this company as I write this review.

I rec'd a message from you saying that the company told you that they will be out to fix the fence within two week.  That was over two weeks ago and it does not appear anyone has been out.What do I do now?Thanks[redacted]

I just checked with my bank and the check from [redacted] finally cleared.  I would appreciate the $8.00 fee be paid by him; however, I don't feel he will pay it and I do not want another fee from my bank if he bounces another check.Thank you for your time and trouble throughout this mess.

It appears that Budget1Fence just came out and pushed the End Post towards the panel; there is still an opening between the fence and...

the Post; that is the way it started and over time the opening got wider.  They need to connect it somehow with a glue or whatever they use so that it will not separate over time, again.  There was a foot and a half of snow on the Patio with a persons foot prints leading to the fence; what exactly did they use to fix it. It took over 3 years and you contacting for them to come out to just push the post to the fence.  If they would just resolve this issue correctly, they would never hear from me again.  They should call before they come to assure that I will be home.I will never recommend this company to anyone.  During one of my calls to them the Owner, [redacted] (I was told he was the owner) told me that he was not going to fix it and there was nothing that I could do about it.

Customer was informed that the supplier stopped making that style and that [redacted] was trying to see if he could locate it somewhere else. The customer was informed about this at the time the...

installer came out to fix the fence.  He has not been able to locate it.  The original install date was sometime in 2002.
We will be refunding the customers deposit in 30 days as per contract since she has requested it now. The owner has tried to help the customer with trying to locate the proper style.

The entire response from Budget 1 fence is incorrect. First and for most there is no granddaughter here, I do not know what they are talking about and they must have the wrong family and house. There is no granddaughter period.
There was no utility company here laying flags down and they did not haul away the old fence. I in fact had a friend come while the installers were here and take the fence away in front of them.
The owner promised to come out and look at the fence and did not show up.
We have not been in contact with the installers since the fence was installed so that is also a lie. and the installers did infact come out and leave 5 minutes later and did not come back for another 2 days. FACT!
I have not had any internet for the last couple of weeks do to issues with the internet company having a problem providing service in our area.
I missed the response time because of this so I would like to do whatever I need to  in continuing with the complaint. I will refile in need be.
It is most upsetting the flat out lies that Budget fence is giving out including adding a grandchild to a family that does not have any. That is not only stupid on their part but insulting to us. We expressed our dislike for the fence from day one and questioned the installers about not finishing it correctly to the point of them having to make a call to someone to continue to finish the job.
I do not like dishonest people and I do not appreciate lies being made about me and my family.
When the owner says he will come out to the house, I EXPECT HIM TO KEEP HIS WORD!
AND DON'T EVER LIE ABOUT THERE BEING A GRANDCHILD IN MY FAMILY AGAIN!
