They don’t take pride in their company at all. You’ll pay $10 for shipping the piece of cardboard but then it’s “non guaranteed” so they’re not responsible for anything after that. I agree with the other reviews, take your money elsewhere. Mine didn’t arrive in time despite it saying it was going to arrive 4 days ago. But again, not their fault cause it was non guaranteed

We are very sorry you are having delays with your order, however given the current pandemic situation in America, FedEx and USPS are having many many delays. We currently only grant refunds for guaranteed shipping orders that did not arrive on time, which we have available to all customers. I would give no stars if I could. There is no value in their product or service. They are a complete scam and should NOT be Revdex.com accredited. Do yourself a favor and purchase elsewhere.

One star is probably generous here. I only wish I had read the other reviews before I made my purchase. Where do I start? I had a coupon but then of course got to the checkout and there was some crazy shipping expense. But the far bigger issue here is the fact that it felt like Spirit Airlines. It was extra for a proof, it was extra for a photo quality check, etc. I was producing a big head for my husband's birthday. I sent in a professional photo but apparently it was a compressed file. I must say that I order many things online and immediately get a notification if there is some issue WITHOUT paying extra. Then I was chatting online with their CS - super unhelpful. Then I was emailing and we came full circle from there is nothing you can do to we will refund you or process it for free until they realized I didn't pay for the photo quality check. So, I actually wrote a review on their FB page. What a surprise - it was removed. Get your act together and improve your customer service. Buyer BEWARE - stay clear of this company!

Overcharged on the product and tried not to honor free shipping. Beware!!! The product was nice, but considering we paid double for it and had to circle back to get them to honor their claim for free shipping made the experience negative. I WILL NOT do business with them again nor will I recommend them to other schools, teams or organizations.

I placed an order of 6 big bobble heads with 6 different teachers faces. It was represented as the heads would be 11x18. When I received, only one head met the expectations that were stated on their website. the 5 other heads continued to decrease in size down to 11x11 (smaller than the actually head!) I called 2x, no one called back. Finally did an online chat with someone, and as I continued to express my complaints, sent pictures of the bad product, and asked for a refund- they person from "build a head" disconnected.

Hi there, we have it stated on our website that if the subject in the photo is wearing a hat or has long hair we will scale the product to fit within the 12x18 canvas, this results in a smaller face. You can always request the hair be cut off to have a standard big head, but most people do not want to do this. We cannot offer a refund for something like this, I would love to send over a special offer to makeup for this confusion, please email me at [email protected] thank you!

You claim that it is to fit within a 12x18 template. one of the heads was 11x 11.5. I guess you could have sent me a head that was 1x1 or 5x5 to and it would fit within this size. The envelope/ packaging that you sent them in was 12x 18. This was absolute false advertising and in accurate information.

This was for our school talent show. All of the middle school teachers at a small Christian School made heads- the talent show was Oct 17th. We no longer need "big heads" we had to go to Office Depot and spent another $95. Office Depot accurately made the product that Big Heads claimed they could, when only one was accurate. Just to let you know- the cost of each head is 1/5 of each teachers daily salary.

We have ordered four 12x18 big head cutouts from Build-A-Head over the last 2 years. We only had one issue where one of the big heads was substantially smaller than the other big heads we received.
After a brief chat with the online customer service, they asked to see a picture of the product in question in comparison to the other big heads I received.
After sending the picture they requested along with a picture of the shipping label, they agreed to reprint the big head. I received the reprinted big head, (that was the correct size) within 3 business days.
No company is 100% perfect, but how they handle unsatisfied customers should be.
From my experience, I believe Build-A-Head does a great job of ensuring customer satisfaction.
I will most definitely be doing business with Build-A-Head in the future.

I bought a 5 head groupon and when ordering the site said I’d get 3 free heads, which I didn’t. They up charge shipping to ridiculous amounts 90.00 for two day guarantee shipping. Be wary of the shipping charges. I will not do business with them again and will not recommend them.

Hi, we offer free shipping on orders $44 and over but only if no other promo code is used, this customer was using a groupon promo code so they did not qualify for the free shipping. We sent the free 3 pack promo code via email. Thank you for using BuildAHead.

Unprofessional, slow and unhelpful customer service. Many times emails are completely ignored and tickets are "resolved" with no actual help or resolution, and the 24/7 Live Chat service is also useless. Chatters have no authority to make any actual decisions and getting ahold of a manager literally takes hours. Also, unclear instructions for email proof vs. billing contact information on order form causes missed deadlines when email proofs are sent to billing contacts. Plus, the products come routinely damaged.

Ordered 1 head and spent over $50.00. Their website said, spend $30 and get 3 heads. I got 1 because I “missed clicking on redeem button that popped up.” They would not send me the missing heads but gave a code for the next time I order. I don’t want to spend more money to get what they were advertising for free. I am not alone in this complaint....Julie W had the same problem on 5/6/19.

Spent over $225 for a rush order and half of my “big-heads” were no larger than an actual head...actually somewhat smaller. The other half were perfect. Go figure. I expressed my displeasure and basically was told sorry, we sent you proofs. Well, proofs don’t exactly indicate finished size. My fault for expecting these BIG-HEADS to actually be bigger than the person’s actual head. I have no idea why 4/8 were great and the others were not. Don’t waste your money since they will not make things right. How much can it actually cost to re-print four more?

The heads were smaller because we scale them to fit on the 18" canvas, if someone has long hair or a big hat it will be scaled to fit which results in a smaller face. Your issue was not brought to our attention- I'm not sure who you chatted with but we would've loved to take care of you and offer you a re-make as we do for all our unsatisfied customers. Thanks!

I purchased 6 heads and sent 6 pictures of equal-clear- quality. 5 heads were good and 1 is unusable due to it being blurry and disfigured. Company unwilling to work with me and/or refund my $ for the one to invite me to re-send photo and have them re-make. I will use one of the many other companies in the future.

We have two options on our website for a photo quality check, along with a box that was checked by the customer saying "if you do not wish to check the quality of the photo, we will proceed with your order as-is to prevent delays" this customer did not wish to have her photos checked so we sent the order out. We cannot do anything beyond this unfortunately, thank you for choosing Build-A-Head!

Unprofessional company. Their customer service is a complete mess with multiple people emailing you with extreme delay. Ordered a custom cutout. They try to upsell you once your checkout with the item. I bought this with plenty of time to have it delivered when needed. They delayed their responses over two days with proofs. When I approved it, they said it now won’t make it in time and to pay them an extra $69.99 to get it when I needed it. Scam artists. I asked them for a resolution and they again delayed their response where I won’t receive this item in time. Avoid them at all costs. Spoken to Kim Shane, Francis, Jeff and Gab. All unprofessional.

I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. I bought a 5-pack of build-a-heads on Groupon for a graduation party. I sent them over a dozen pictures and kept being told that they werent good enough photos to use - even though some of them were professional photos (very high quality, close up photos). We went back and forth for a week with different photos until they finally told me that they could use one of the pictures. I made it VERY clear in every single email that I needed them for a graduation and therefore they needed to arrive by a particular date. I was told if I paid $30 more for shipping, they would definitely arrive on time. I paid. They arrived 3 days AFTER the event! I emailed them expressing my disappointment that I didn't receive my order in time, despite paying extra and being told they would arrive the day before the event. They responded that they would not refund me because I had received the order. I didn't need it anymore - the event had passed by the time I got it! They did not care. Very obnoxious and horrible to work with. SLOW PROCESS, SLOW SHIPPING - even when you PAY extra for expedited. But worse than their slow processing time, the rude customer service after THEY MESSED UP is really offensive. I will never order from them again and encourage everyone else to order from someplace else. Unless you have a month before your event. Dont believe their claims to ship quickly and to offer same-day service, etc. More than 2 weeks wasnt enough even with paying for 3-day shipping!

Why do I even have to give one star? Glad I used groupon because the product was mediocre and blurry. I made 3 separate orders and paid super fast shipping for one, but it came 2nd. Still waiting on my last order and graduation was yesterday. Shipping is a joke. Your order just be stuck in limbo according to tracking your package. I will never use this business again.

Terrible customer service. I ordered a 10 pack using a groupon code, and paid extra for same day shipping. The order arrived on time, however there were only 5 heads, not 10. I would not be able to get the rest before the event I needed them for, so I requested a refund. I was told I would receive one. Then, a couple days later, I was told that I wouldn't because I used a groupon. Didn't they still get my money for the order they didn't fulfill? Now they are trying to refund the shipping or reactivate the groupon code for my next order. THERE WILL BE NO NEXT ORDER. They didn't give me what I ordered, and now they are keeping my money. That's called stealing. I will not do business with them again.

Horrible customer service and a complete ripoff. Item didn’t arrive in time at all.

I placed an order on a Saturday morning and paid for Same day shipping and and some other extras. Lets start with you can speak with anyone via pone I left msgs for someone to call me back within 24hrs via their machine but no one has called me back so I then used the 24/7 live chat. I chatted with someone via live chat and was told I would get a refund and it never happened then I reached back out and spoke with someone else who again stated I will get a email with refund information. Once again nothing has happened and now im on my third rep to try to get my money back. I would not recommend this company to anyone and if you communicate through live chat please save your chats because you may end up needing them to prove what you were told. I have all my chats and still getting no where.

We ordered a life-sized cutout of my father-in-law for a celebration of life. We specified we needed it to be around 51”. It came fast but we realized it was too big (58”). I went on their website and used their chat option. They were awesome! They sent the correct sized cutout the next day and we received it in 2 days and it looks great!
So happy we went with this company. Highly recommend them??

Their website wasn’t working and kept sending me back to the middle of my order. When it finally went thru it deleted part of my order. They fulfilled it with the wrong picture. I immediately emailed and asked it to be corrected. They agreed and when I got the wrong order they denied talking to me about correcting my order and was extremely rude. I will never ever use them again!

Awful. Submitted order on a Monday by 6 pm and didn’t receive on Thursday as promised after paying extra for it. As of Friday night at 11:59 pm I still have not received my order. No one is available to talk to either. Simply awful.
