Sold my IPhone 6S+ with no issues. Price paid as quoted, timely status emails, transaction done quickly and as promised.

My experience was very positive. They quoted me a price, sent a box (I requested), and I received a check promptly after I mailed my phone back. Great service!

After researching the internet for a company to buy my used iPhone, I found BuyBack Tronics, which offered a very reasonable offer, and quick turnaround. After researching thru reviews & their policy, I asked for an offer & received one promptly. I sent it in, waited the advertised time for their analysis & received a check for the offered price. Happy customerð??

Buy Back Tronics was so EASY to work with. The prices they paid were the same or better than everyplace else I checked. Payment was quick!

This was a fast and easy transaction. They paid me what they quoted and the eCheck made it really fast and easy.

I sent my flawless phone to them, and this is their reply:

Your device was received, inspected and powered on.
Upon careful inspection, bright white spots appears on the top-half of the screen. This may be a symptom of excess pressure exerted to the screen and may increase in size and intensity overtime with use. As a result, the overall market value of the device is affected and the screen assembly will need to be replaced.
Additionally, your device was found to have light non-removable residue on the screen. When we go to resell the device as flawless the buyer will expect a device with no signs of use, as such, the overall market value of the device has been affected
The trade-in quote has been amended from $91 to $28 to account for our findings.

This is all *** - I refused their offer, so then they said we'll give you $33 but we can't do better because your phone is damaged. I said please return my phone, thinking geez maybe it got damaged in shipping somehow (though doubtful). I got it back, and it is still flawless, no white spots, no residue ("non-removable residue" on glass??), my screen looks like the day I bought it. Not one scratch. BEWARE. These guys offer you a great price, then after you've made the effort, they lie to give you a third of the original offer. I gave them one star as they shipped the phone back at their expense, otherwise they deserve zero stars.

Thank you for your feedback.

We are sorry to learn that your interaction with us was not an entirely positive one. Upon carefully reviewing your trade-in, we find that we did not hear back from you questioning any of the specifics mentioned on our inspection report, we would have been happy to take pictures and sent them across to illustrate exactly what we were referring to
.
As far as white spots are concerned, these can be easily missed as they must be viewed against a blank white browser, not something that happens with everyday use.

Additionally, the residue that is being referred to is residue that is generally caused by phone cases and is not something that can be removed.

Beware before doing any business with this company, they will offer you one price via there value calculator, upon receiving your phone they will significant lower the offer and make up false problems with your phone to justify the lower offer. Traded (4) phones into them, huge mistake look elsewhere.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to learn that your experience with us was not an entirely positive one.

Upon reviewing your trade-in of four devices we see that your devices had various issues ranging from LCD white spots to camera grey spots, bent frame, a bad battery and even a nonfunctional camera.

We understand that not all customers will agree with our assessment of their devices. We have designed our process to be a non-obligational process and customers can always ask for pictures to support our findings or ask for their devices to be returned. We see that this option was provided to you, however you choose to forego it and chose to get paid.

I believe this company runs a scam - quoting values for electronics and then reducing significantly once they receive the device based on random evaluation. I received 50% of the quoted price due to some issue with the camera on my iPhone that apparently no one can see (except them). Do not recommend!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that you were not entirely satisfied with your interaction with us.

Upon reviewing the details of your trade-in, we find that your device was found to have grey spots on the rear camera. Grey spots can be very difficult to notice and are best seen when the camera application is active and pointing at a white background.

Your payment was auto processed as per our terms and conditions as we did not hear back from you within 3 day of your inspection.

We understand that not everybody will agree with the results of our inspection and we are always happy to take a second look at a device, send photos to support our findings or arrange to have your device sent back within the 3 day time frame, should we hear back from you.

I was quoted something along the line of $90 for my iPhone 6 plus, I packed up the phone carefully and shipped according to instruction. It's been 30+ days, and I just received the check in the mail for $5. There's NO COMMUNICATION from the company at all on why I received a tiny fraction than what was originally quoted on line. For $5, I would not have gone through the trouble, would have given it to a friend's kid who may be able to use one. I felt like I was scammed.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your interaction with us was not an entirely positive one.

Upon reviewing the details of your trade-in, we see that you are correct, unfortunately all emails to the email address on file have gone unread. Your payment was automatically processed as per our terms and conditions, as we did not hear back from you within 3 days of our quote.

The reason for the significant drop in the value for your device was because you selected your device to be in flawless condition, however your device was found to have a nonfunctional fingerprint reader. The Touch-ID feature is uniquely paired to each phone's home button and as such cannot be replaced. The security of the device can be easily compromised as a result, the overall market value of the device is affected.

Awesome company...they were easy to work with and guided me through the whole process quickly and kindly! I highly recommend :)

Relatively quick, good price, paid as promised. Would definitely recommend this service.

The questions they ask indicate that my iPad was in flawless condition. Union their "inspection" They offered me the price for a BROKEN IPAD. My ipad was fully functional in original box. It was used. That is what they are purchasing a USED iPad. Not BROKEN,

Do NOT send they your device!!

BuyBackTronics.com Response • Mar 16, 2020

Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback with regards to your interaction with us.

Upon reviewing the details of your trade-in we see that you selected your device to be in flawless condition, whereas your device was found to have a stiff/stuck power button that would need to be replaced. Additionally, your device was found to have the back light overexposing, causing the device to be brighter on one part of the screen as opposed to the other. This would require the device to have it's back light replaced.

While we do understanding that we are purchasing used devices, not all used devices are equal in condition and functionality. Unfortunately based on the above observations, your device would definitely not qualify for "flawless" condition and based on the costs for parts and labor associated with repairing the issues listed, your device was offered broken pricing.

Customer Response • Mar 16, 2020

You asked questions to identify the state of my IPAD. I answered the questions and it showed flawless. It was fully functional and NOT BROKEN. Of course the screen was used. It was a used IPAD. I was not offered a price for good condition, or fair condition The price was for a BROKEN IPad. It was not broken!

BuyBackTronics.com Response • Mar 18, 2020

Thank you for your response. The physical condition on our checkout process is something that is selected by the customer and not populated by answering any questions. Your device did not qualify for flawless/good or fair condition due to the following requirements for each of those categories:

Flawless:
Have all features and parts functioning as intended.
Be free of absolutely any imperfections or blemishes on any part of the device. Mint condition.

Good:
Have all features and parts functioning as intended.
Only show signs of regular wear & tear. No major blemishes or imperfections.
Be free of any screen related imperfections such as dead pixels, white spots/screen burn in, chips or cracks.

Fair:
Have all features and parts functioning as intended.

Finally, we understand that not everyone is going to agree with our evaluations, which is why our trade-in process is a no obligation process. As requested, your device was returned back at no additional cost to you.

Customer Response • Mar 18, 2020

According to you above statement. My iPad was fully functional with no pixelation. It had normal wear and tear with no dents or scratches since it was always in a heavy case. I should have been offered a good price. Not a "broken" price.

Send me an email saying they received my phone then taze later send me an email to tell me that they didn't receive my phone I have both emails they stole my phone and are refusing to pay me the money they owe me 4 produce my phone back to me they are thieves and should be shut down.

From start to finish, I had a great experience with this company! They offered the highest amount for my device, paid for the shipping label and followed through in the timeframe which was quoted. Give them a try...I think you'll be glad you did.

I contacted this company to sell my iPhone6 S. I was quoted $81 for the phone, which had a new battery installed six months ago by Apple. After receiving the phone, they told me it was not an iPhone 6 Plus (I stated that it was a 6S) and that there were numerous things wrong with it. I was offered $8 for the phone, which I declined. Apple told me that the phone was in good shape and I have never had problems with it. Now I am waiting for the phone to be returned, hoping that it is still the same phone I sent them. This company is not worth doing business with. They are dishonest and try to take advantage of customers.

BuyBackTronics.com Response • Feb 12, 2020

Thank you for your feedback. I am the supervisor here at BuyBackTronics and your feedback was escalated to me.

There obviously seems to be some confusion related to your trade-in. Upon reviewing our records, your trade-in #129169 was submitted as an iPhone 6 Plus and not an iPhone 6s, the device was found to be an iPhone 6 and neither an iPhone 6 Plus or an iPhone 6s. A copy of your initial trade-in submission is available for your review on your email and was also re-sent as an attachment.

Finally, you are correct that the phone is fully functional and there are no issues with the battery. Rather, we found your device to have a light white streak when checked against a white background and to have a spongy/flat home button. While these issues do not affect the functionality of the device, they are considered imperfections/flaws that can affect the user experience or worsen with time and have to be adjusted for accordingly for grading purposes.

We urge your to review and revisit your trade-in records with us and reconsider your review. Should you require any further assistance, we are happy to oblige.

I received an estimate for 2 phones. This company received my phones, they downgraded the estimate by 50%. I declined their "offer." I asked that my phones be returned. One was. The other was replaced with a cheaper model.

This is a disreputable company or has a disreputable employee. In any case DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

BuyBackTronics.com Response • Feb 03, 2020

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that you feel this way. We take our commitment to our customers and the integrity of our process very seriously.

Upon taking a closer look at your trade-in we see that your trade-in was submitted as have a iphone 5s and an iphone 6 plus. However what was received was an iPhone SE and an iPhone 5. Our inspection report pointed out the same, however the response received was: "Send them back. I disagree with your assessment especially about the 6s. I bought it new at an Apple Store. They replaced the battery 2 years ago" Not only did the response received mention anything about a wrong device, furthermore, there was never a 6s submitted - neither as part of the trade-in nor as what was received.

Additionally, once the devices were sent back, we do not show any record of correspondence from you informing us of a wrong device being returned.

We feel that there may be some confusion, perhaps related to multiple trade-ins by yourself either with us or another company. However, If you still feel confident that there has been some swap, we would be happy to look into this further. Please give us a call on out customer service number at your earliest convenience.

A great experience and very fair on price. Also support was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Communication was excellent also. Very quick on payment. Will use again.

I just completed my first transaction with BuyBackTronics, and I am completely satisfied. I had two iPads that I was no longer using and offered them for sale to this company. Its website is very easy to use. I was given a fair offer. I sent the iPads to them using a provided prepaid UPS label. They informed me that the older iPad had a problem with the camera and would not be bought. I informed them to dispose of it responsibly, and I am sure they did. The other, newer iPad was bought in accordance with the initial online offer. I opted for a mailed check for the proceeds. The entire process, from the initial online engagement to the receipt of the check took only eight days. While this short timeframe would be hard to replicate in all cases, I would nonetheless use this form again if I should have an electronic device I want to sell.

This was my second item I've sold to this vendor. Very quick turnaround and fast payment. Very easy.

So I took a chance to send in my 256gb IPhone 8Plus. If I could give negative stars I would, I took pictures of my phone and the packaging just to be sure. The only reason I was going to try this to sell my phone instead of selling it privately is because of the time involved and hassle that goes with that so I cut my losses. They had my phone for 3-4 weeks and then all of a sudden told me the screen had white spots that wasn't their fault - interestingly enough the spots were not there when I shipped it....I sent them pictures of the phone I took the day I shipped it and never heard back just received my phone shipped back to me. So then they tel me since they sent it back to me I can't file an insurance claim because they no longer have the packaging from shipping even though I paid extra to insure the phone and clearly I have proof that this happened either in shipping or in the possession of the phone. Now I'm being told my phone is with $80 because of them!! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO!!! Even taking pictures, having proof and being scammed I literally can't do ANYTHING about this. I am out of a lot of money AND a phone because of this HORRIBLE company! Customer service is awful!

BuyBackTronics.com Response • Nov 20, 2019

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your review.

While we do understand your concerns, we would like to reiterate that white spots are not something that can happen in transit or while in our relatively brief possession. They occur over an extended period of time and are caused by excessive pressure on the screen.

White spots are simply a screen imperfection that can be seen best against a plain white screen such as a browser and are often overlooked by consumers. Furthermore, depending on their severity they can be notoriously difficult to capture on pictures due to them being a white spot against a white background.

Additionally, our records indicate that your device arrived at our facility on 10/3 and was evaluated by 10/12 making that a total of 6 business days.

Finally, your device was returned as per your written request and unfortunately an insurance claim can only be filed if there is evidence of physical damage to a device and if we have retain possession of both the device and the packaging. In this case, since the device was requested to be returned and had no evidence of physical damage that occurred while in transit, it did not qualify for an insurance claim.
