This is the worst buying experience ever, so please beware of these scammers! I ordered a shell plant holder for $32.95 almost a month ago in July. No shipping nor tracking info was provided thereafter. I had a minor issue with my postal address that I needed to clear up, so I tried emailing this so called "business, but to no avail. The website has no phone number, however, I did find a number on my electronic Pay Pal receipt. I started calling & texting said phone number. I finally received a text from an unnamed individual who simply responded "What's the address?" I sent the corrected address back to them via text & haven't heard from these crooks again. I just filed a dispute through PayPal today. I'm no longer interested in any merch from Buytheseaonline, I just want a refund. This experience has motivated me to check all unfamiliar companies with the Revdex.com prior to any future purchases.

You where refunded before you ever posted this here. you ordered when we had a state virus closure. We ship over 500 orders a week sorry a few did not get there orders but all complaints have been dealt with even if they posted here God Bless

This place is a joke. They have no problem taking your money but apparently come into difficulty shipping said orders. I did find a phone number and when I called it... ITS IN LONDON! The gentleman I talked to explained that "buythesea online" had stolen his business name AND pictures off of his site. He also stated that hes recieved 5 calls, THIS WEEK from people who had placed orders with "buythesea online" already filed my dispute with my CC.

This shop’s inventory was exciting, well priced, and I was looking forward to my order. I should have known by the first email exchange with the company that this was going to be a negative experience. I asked about the origins of the shells, and received a rude response. I ordered anyway. Their website said they were closed through May 20th due to the virus, I ordered May 25th. After multiple emails that went ignored, I found their phone number and called, then texted as requested on June 19th. I was given an apology, that they had just opened back up the previous Friday, and my order would ship out ASAP for delivery in no less than a week. The date passed, and more emails and text messages were ignored. I sent a long email stating that I did not want to request a refund, but it didn’t seem like my order was going to be processed, and I received an email back stating that they didn’t read my entire email, as it looked like I had written an entire book (a couple paragraphs), and that they would send tracking information. I received a text later on stating that tracking information had been sent to my email. Tracking was never sent, and another 4 or 5 text messages politely requesting an update were ignored. I finally threatened to file a claim with PayPal, and instead of a response, I got an email from PayPal stating that my refund was in process.
This is easily the worst customer service I have ever received from a company, and I hope no one else is subject to their scams. I was polite and professional for months, I just wanted shells for jewelry making, and I was treated poorly, rudely, and still never got my product. This is a bad business, and I see that many others have faced the same issues with responses, lack of shipment, and rude service. Beware of placing an order with this company, you will not get your product.

I purchased shells totaling $36.19 while the store announced it was back open on June 19th 2020. Nearly a month later, I emailed 2 times for status updates, with no response. I then, left a voice mail, no response. I then texted on 7/16th for them to just cancel the order and issue a refund. The response was a text of an emoji thumbs up. I then texted on 7/17, the same message with the same response, an emoji thumbs up. I then texted again, 7/26 and no response. I even left a message on a Facebook post they posted, no response, no refund. I don't know what else to do to get the refund. It's been well over a month at this point, since I placed the order. Today is July 31.

After our reopening being closed by virus shutdown we sent out a mass email to hundreds of customer stating is they want to ship we would or a refund I did not see a response from you so now I see you want a refund no problem done. Email stating awaiting shipping on 2/13/2020
Email stating is shipped on 2/17/2020 Per tracking number this was not received by the postal service
I sent an email to check on the status on 2/25 with no response.
I sent an email to check on status on 4/18/2020.
On 4/19/2020 I got a response from LEE that "Shows shipped and I will look into this."
I sent an email on 7/15 for an update.
No credit on my account to date or product received.
With COVID-19 I was flexible with a delay. 5 month later and just looking for an update.

New order shipped out today sending tracking to her email. This was in our closed file didn’t realize it had not arrived not sure what happened to original package floating around in the USPS universe Sent from Mail for Windows 10

I ordered shells back in May 2020, Never received them I emailed twice. Finally got a email back stating they were closed due to covid however the website did not state that, it stated that they were taking extra precautions but trying to deliver on time. I asked for a refund on June 16th when I found there email back to be a lie and rude. Their refund policy states they will send a refund back with in 14 days of receiving the product back, I never received the product and now it has been over 2 weeks no response or refund. Just recently I am a member of a hermit crab owner site and another person asked if anyone has had a problem with this very company because they never received there shells either there was 2 others that posted the same thing and 2 of which said they called and emailed the company with no responds. when I emailed them on June 16th they stated they just opened up that week. the person that responded on the hermit crab site stated they told her the same thing and her email was June 26th. I find all this very disturbing that multiple People have been having the same problem with the same company. I have screen shots of my emails, their website showing it didn't say anything abut being closed, and screen shots of the conversations from others on the hermit crab site. Because I was expecting the shells and never received them and getting shells delayed one of my son's Hermit crab died. They put me in a position to have to comfort my 9 year old son with out any care or consideration. I currently question if and how many people they have ripped off for their money due to how many people may have disregarded doing anything if the amounts paid were not much. I want a refund for my shells and I would like them to replace the cost of my son's hermit crab on principal and it was $5.96 from pet co.

First off it has been posted since March 24th that we where forced to close by the State of Wisconsin due to the virus pandemic we updated our website weekly on when we could reopen we then where able to reopen on June 26th, and yes hundreds of orders where placed in our closure but the posting stated we would ship or refund when we opened. We have literally thousands of shells in the last 10 days if a few people are upset we seriously apologize my workers lives and their family's are important to me sorry life happened. As for you. You have been refunded your order it would have gone out at the end of the week as we are shipping orders in the order they where received Im not kidding we are shipping hundreds of orders a week trying to catch up. I cant refund money other than what was paid sorry. I will be more than happy to send you some free shells but as for us this case is closed and if any others are having problems please contact us at [email protected] we will give approx ship dates if order has not been fulfilled. sorry

I have many more screen shots. June 16th it was emailed to me they had opened that week. It would only let me upload a few but I have about 8 more screen shots of other customers unaware of this closer that they said they posted. I included a screen shot of what was on their page and states nothing about closure. I still would like this company looked at to be sure they are NOT ripping others off to. I also want the $14.80 and the cost to replace the hermit crab of my sons that died due to these delays and lies. Which was $5.96

If you have a problem send and email to [email protected] like all the rest of the thousands of happy customers feel sorry you dont have the time to communicate except with an organization Revdex.com that can do nothing but send emails.

Actually two issues:
Advertised free shipping for purchase of $10 in merchandise. Paid over $16.60 to buytheseaonline by credit card. Was charged with shipping plus found out after credit card went through that they were closed and would not be open till after the 15th of may. No other information on home page about that. I looked. Sent a email on may9 asking whyni got charged for shipping. There was a pop up button that said buy $10 of items free shipping. I got multiple screenshots of it over the next 2 weeks. Emailed 4 times about if my order was coming, plus the mistake in shipping. Sent 2nd email may 14 after no response. Sent 3rd email, after the 4th email after may 15 got a response. It was rude

May 29th go away I dont care if you leave bad feedback go away we are
busy with more important things like life not wasting peoples time you have already been made whole. Any other sellers out there BEWARE dont sell they will cause you heart ache for weeks. Have a wonderful day God Bless

I ordered a couple of hermit crab shells from their website on March 23, 2020. The total amount came to $11.19, the website mentioned the items would be shipped in 3-5 business days. I never received any emails stating that my item has shipped or any tracking number. I was able to find the tracking number myself by creating an account and according to them my shipping label was created March 26th and it hasn't progressed since then. I sent them an email on April 11th asking about the status of my order, I received an email 2 days later saying they would check and that they were closed due to the virus but they will find out. It's interesting that I never received an email talking about closing the shop or a delay in shipping out orders. Why would you continue to sell products if you can't ship them due to closing? Anyway, I emailed them back asking for an update as the person never got back to me, I'm still waiting for a reply, but I am not hopeful. At this point, I just want my money back.

Another customer of theirs also posted on their Facebook page in reply to my comment thanking me for making them aware this business was a scam. 5 minutes later I heard back from the company (for the first time) almost 2 months after my purchase. Now they say I was already refunded, which is not true. I would like my money back.

I placed an order on 16 march, they charged my credit card for $33.39.. they issued a USPS tracking number but since USPS tracking says they are awaiting the item. I have called, no answer, left message a couple times.. On 27 march they said they would look into it next morning. I have emailed a couple times since asking for updates to no response.. usps still says awaiting item..
