I just wanted to pay the bill and have it REMOVED from my credit reportThis business is conducting FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES by putting negative marks on someone's credit report without ever billing them

In I received a letter stating if I paid by the account would be considered paid in full and would be posted as suchI still have the letter and I had notated it was mailed so it would have been post marked by Upon applying for an apartment *** I found that I had an outstanding lease so I called BYL collection services who state that that was not the letter sent to meI emailed them the letter on Saturday per LaQuana and today when I called Sarah noted the last contact with me was in May When it was Friday and Saturday I have received zero correspondence from BYL collection services in the last five years and would not have known this was still active had I not been denied for a rental is the *** ***I am trying to work with this company but I have been met with rudeness from people I have spoken with

I was contacted out of the blue by BYL Collections Services about a $Debt from an alleged former residence They only gave a general location - not a street address of a home, or, an apartment complex name that could be identified They failed to identify the street address, city, state, or, an apartment complex name, or, street, city, state location, AND TIME FRAME that I could identify, and, they gave very little information about themselvesA LEGITIMATE AGENCY should be able to provide more DETAILED INFORMATION IF THEY WANT TO COLLECT A DEPT And, they offered very little information about themselves I had to look them upIt seems to me the Revdex.com of the area this business is located in could do a better job of protecting the public from such scammers besides stating this business is NOT Revdex.com ACCREDITED THEY COULD HAVE THEM INVESTIGATED AND SHUT DOWN!!

Thank you for contacting our office with your reply from the

As a courtesy, we have submitted both accounts for credit

Re: [redacted]
Dear Revdex.com of Metro Washington
and Eastern PA,
Thank you for contacting our
office.  I have reviewed the complaint
regarding the above referenced person.
We originally received the first account from [redacted] on 8/12/2013.  The second account
was received in collections on 10/7/2013.
We never received a response to our collection letters. [redacted]
contacted our office on 11/10/2015.  The
address was verified and was accurate in our records. [redacted] stated since
the amounts were “modest” and he did not receive our notices in the mail, that
these should be removed from his credit. He did state that he received the explanation
of benefits from his insurance provider.
[redacted] stated he will
pay the balances direct to the original creditor. However, he wanted to know
what the procedure was to remove these from his credit. [redacted] was
advised the accounts will update as paid in full with the three major credit
bureaus, once we receive the payment from the original creditor. His dispute
was documented on both accounts and he was advised to dispute the accounts with
the three credit bureaus if he felt they were on his credit in error. [redacted] stated that disputing the accounts with the credit bureaus is not the
answer he wanted and insisted on a procedure in our office to remove these from
his credit.  [redacted] stated he would
be filing a Revdex.com complaint to ensure these were removed from his credit due to
the minor balances of the accounts.  [redacted]’s accounts are currently in dispute.
The accounts remain unpaid at this time.

Please advise if there is anything further we
can assist you with to resolve the above referenced complaint.  Please contact me via email at [email protected], by fax at

Dear Revdex.com of Metro Washington and Eastern PA,
Thank you for contacting our office.  I have reviewed the complaint regarding the
above referenced person.  We originally
received this account from [redacted] Device Recovery on 8/04/2015 for the
amount of $1,995.00.  The sole purpose is
to recover the heart monitor for return to the client.  We send a return [redacted] label with the letter
stating we are merely seeking the return of the monitor and failure to return
will result in the client charging them, for the heart monitor. We never
received a response to letter nor have we spoken to [redacted].  It appears [redacted] either used our label
for return of the unit or used the return label the client provided her as she has
stated she returned the unit on 8/19/2015.
This does not report to the credit bureaus nor does the letter imply it
will. We are in contact with the client to confirm return of the unit and will
close the account upon confirmation of return.
  Please advise if there
is anything further we can assist you with to resolve the above referenced
complaint.  Please contact me via email
at [redacted]@bylcompanies.com, by fax

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me although I don't know if my credit score was repaired.
I did not hear back from any of the 3 companies that grade us about this matter.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]
 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Information is incomplete and/or inaccurate and does not address the complaints made.I have spoken to the original creditor and made arrangements for payment.  A check in the amount of $35 (the original debt) has been issued for both delinquent accounts.  (Check was the original creditor's preferred method of payment.)  This goes directly to the content of dialog held with BYL representative.  BYL states in their response that the debt is unpaid.  Their system does not update the status of debts in a timely manner, which leads to inaccurate reporting to the credit bureaus.  Complaint to Revdex.com was related specifically to the fact that BYL representative was not able to provide precise/accurate/clear procedural information with regard to how the payments would be processed.  It appears that has not changed, even with a supervisor responding to a formal complaint. It's also worthwhile to note that an "account paid in full" is still a negative mark on one's credit, when the type of account is a "collections account."  I do not want the accounts to reflect "paid in full."  I want them to be removed, altogether.  The procedural information I requested from BYL clearly noted this distinction.  BYL was not able to provide guidance.  Again, of the many issues at play in this case, the single most-important fact is this: I have seen no evidence that BYL Services met the requirements of the law prior to posting information to the credit bureaus.  It should never be a "surprise" for a consumer to check one's credit history to find that they have, not just one but TWO, collections accounts without having received any notification that the account had become delinquent or that reporting to the credit bureaus would take place.  BYL seems to claim that they had my contact information, including my phone number and address.  Why, then, is there no evidence that they were used to notify me they had assumed control of the accounts? For the record: I am a [redacted] employee.  I travel all over the world, frequently.  I hold a security clearance, which is directly impacted by the status of my personal credit.  BYL's conduct in this matter is not only detrimental to my personal credit, but it can impact my ability to respond to issues involving [redacted]  Their actions have been, in a word, nothing short of "harmful" to me, my family, and my mission to support active duty military personnel around the globe.  I will not consider this matter resolved until the records BYL wrongfully posted to my credit history are completely removed, or at least until they provide me with procedural information that will guarantee their complete removal.
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: I was contacted by phone by BYL Collection Agency. They left a phone number to call and they said they were from a heart monitoring company in Pennsylvania and I have an $80.00 outstanding balance and wanted my Social Security number and address which I provided. I offered to pay over the phone and they said they would send me an invoice WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED!!!! The office manager from the doctor's office said that no other patients have been charged for this monitor. Payment was also made from my [redacted] insurance.

Now they are harassing me again and I am very uncomfortable with the feeling my personal and confidential information along with my credit history has been compromised!!! It's no wonder they have an F rating from Better Busuness Bureau!Desired Settlement: Stop the harassment!!!!

Dear **. [redacted],

Thank you for contacting our office. I have reviewed the complaint for [redacted]. We received the account in our office on 12/21/2012. Our first notice was mailed 12/21/2012.

We first made contact with **. [redacted] on 4/4/2013. She confirmed that the address on file was incorrect. She refused to give a correct mailing address to mail another notice to her. **. [redacted] stated she was going to call her doctor because she had never received a bill. We did not attempt to contact **. [redacted] again until 8/20/2013 to allow her time to review the account with her Doctor. **. [redacted] answered our second attempt to call her on 8/22/2013 and stated not to call her again and hung up. The account was put in dispute at that time.

The Original balance was $262.50, there was a contractual adjustment of $177.07 with a remaining balance of $85.43 which was applied to **. [redacted]’s deductible she owed her the insurance carrier. This has not and will not report to the credit, however, the balance is valid and due per her insurance company.

She is welcome to dispute the deductible with her insurance carrier if she would like. Please advise if there is anything further required to assist in closing this complaint. Please contact me via email at [redacted] or to [email protected] to advise when the complaint will be closed.

I can be contacted at ###-###-#### or direct at ###-###-#### with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Review: I have been unable to make payments to this account. I attempted to settle, but their offer was unreasonable for my financial situation. I have received two unethical collections notices in the past month and they need to stop. (one stated that they will send the debt back to the original debtor and the second said that they will continue to contact me until they're paid) I hate that it has come to this, but I am out of options. I have no desire to speak with representatives of this company until something reasonable can be done. I have also made the FTC aware of this.Desired Settlement: I would like a reasonable settlement (10%) from this collector, and the collection notices with unethical statements aimed at me to stop, and information regarding this debt to be cleared from my credit report, and an apology for the duress they have caused.

BYL Collections Services

Review: I received notice of this supposed debt to the [redacted] via the collections agency on 7/30/13. Prior to this notice I had not received any bills or phone calls regarding the supposed debt from the [redacted]. I called BYL Collections on 7/31/13 and disputed the validity of the debt. . Spoke w/ [redacted] and requested itemized bill. [redacted] said they would send the itemized bill within 7-10 business days. On 8/1/13 mailed certified letter to BYL Collections disputing validity of debt. On 8/8/13 I called BYL Collections and let them know I had still not received the itemized bill. Spoke with [redacted] who told me they only have one person who prepares written responses and that they do not have a time frame in which they have to get the response back to me. She told me that [redacted] should not have told me that the itemized bill would arrive in 7-10 business days because that was not true. A few minutes later I called BYL Collections back to inquire as to whether an itemized bill would include the payments I made to [redacted]. This time I spoke with [redacted] again. She said it would not necessarily contain the payments that were made. I requested that the itemized bill contain both the charges as well as the payments made due to the fact that multiple parties had made payments to [redacted]. After getting off the phone to check, she came back on the phone and said that they would request an itemized bill from [redacted] that included both the charges as well as the payments made. I then informed her that [redacted] had told me that they did not have to get this information to me in any specific time frame. [redacted] told me that they usually tell people 7-10 business days since that is approximately what it takes to get the information out to people. I told her that they should get their stories straight on what is correct before they give out incorrect information.Desired Settlement: Please get me the itemized bill including all charges as well as payments made in a timely and efficient matter. Do not contact my creditors while this supposed debt is in dispute or if I prove I do not owe the money.

[redacted]. [redacted],

Good morning. As per our conversation yesterday regarding the above mentioned claimant. I would like to let you know that we have resolved any issues that we had regarding a balance due on her account which had been forwarded to our collection agency BYL Companies. After extensive review of her account it has been determined that her insurance company [redacted] had processed her claims incorrectly and reflected a balance due by [redacted]. [redacted]. We have contacted the insurance company to correct her insurance claims to remove any balance that they incorrectly stated was due.

In addition her account has been pulled from the collection agency and no information has been sent to any of the credit bureaus therefore she has no negative effect on her credit.

I have spoken with [redacted]. [redacted] directly and explained everything to her and she was satisfied with our conversation.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. [redacted] has taken steps to resolve this conflict and is moving in the right direction. I am still unhappy that it took several certified letters and complaints w/ 2 consumer agencies to get the business to respond to my calls. Had the response occurred when I contacted them initially, the error would have been caught sooner and I would not be out the time, money, and anxiety it took to begin to resolve the problem. I will continue to monitor the progress until the entire conflict has resolved, but at this time I am satisfied with the efforts being made.
