Thank you for this informationWe did have contact with [redacted] We have been working through the diagnoses process for a check engine light issueShe did indeed have the vehicle in last week for the diagnosesIt was brought to us at the end of the dayThe timing did not allow for us to complete the repairs the same dayWe did confirm that the engine code indicated an evaporative emissions leak in the systemThis type of issue typically does not create any performance/ drivability issuesWe attempted to schedule a day when we could further test the evaporative system to pinpoint the source of the leak but we were not able to accomplish this while Ms [redacted] was hereI later spoke with her husband ,explained the process to him and again attempted to schedule a follow up appointmentHe was going to speak to his wife and get back to usAs of this writing we have not been able to make an appointment for a follow upWe would be happy to set that appointment at Ms [redacted] convenienceThis process will typically take a day or more depending on parts availabilityIt is our goal to to get this repair resolved ASAPThis is not issue that will warrant a exchange of collateral or a cancellation of the contract Our shop manager is a master certified tech and he will be happy to drive with Ms [redacted] to answer any other concerns she may have with the vehicleThank you for your time and attention to this issue.Jeff I [redacted] VP, GM 814-954-

He said Salesman told him it was a Honda Civic Si Luxury Model with hi performance chips in itBlue exterior with 111, miles(It was not an Si Luxury model but a Basic LXAs far as the Hi Performance chips we don’t know but I highly doubt it.)What is the NADA and the Kelly Blue Book Retail Value? He said I don't know(NADA Fair Market Retail Value was $8225.00) (KBB.com = $7215) What was the Purchase Price of the car? His response was I think $14,(This was close to the $14, 895.00, almost double the value)What is the interest rate and terms? His response was I don't know the rate but my 1st payment is $(Actually he has to make bi-weekly payments of $to pay the deferred down and Document service charge)How many years or months do you pay? His response was the 1st payment of $pays the rest of my down payment and then it drops to $every weeks (Actually he has to make bi-weekly payments of $which = $23, 603.68)What about the physical damage insurance? His response was I don’t know but I think it is in my bi-weekly payment(Actually it is a separate bi-weekly payment of $42)Devin did you read the Purchase Agreement? His response was no.What I see is a young year old that wanted his 1st car and was sucked in by advertisement of a Buy Here-Pay Here trap.He initially went to this location to look at a Scion TC but found out it sold the night beforeThe salesman did his job by finding a door coupe that might appeal to a young man.Devin said he was told it was a Honda Civic Si Luxury model with Hi Performance ChipsBut after I looked at it I showed him it was just a Basic LX Model with steel wheels and cloth interior.Devin also told me the salesman told him he had days to return the car if he was not happy with the purchaseSo he called the salesperson and asked to return the carHe was told it was not possible.Devin then did a Google search on what to do if you didn’t like a car you just purchased and found a suggestion that you take it to a local dealer of the same make and trade it in.So he went to John Hinderer Honda in Heath OH and talked with their sales staffThey offered him $for the car if he traded it for another used car with the sale price of 10,500.00.They would attach the negative equity to the deal if he found a qualified Co-SignerThis was not a feasible plan and he can’t find a co-signer willing to take this risk In recap J.D Byrider charged this impressionable young man twice the value of the vehicleThis caused him to pay almost double the State of Ohio Sales Tax.Doubling the price also causes him to pay much more and much longer the interest chargesThe % interest rate he is being charged is not declared on any of the documents given to himOnly the amount per payment and the total payments are spelled outAt the age of and after purchasing many vehicles I have never ran into such a predatory auto sales place that even has a consent form to audiotape and videotape the closing.I am convinced that Devin Chase McKnelly did not understand the whole deal at closing but he is beginning to understand much better after the fact.I am asking J.DByrider / CNAC a large business to have mercy on this disadvantaged young man and reconsider to negotiate a better deal with Devin.Sincerely, [redacted] ***
