We told them the minimuum coverage needed for our mortgageThe amounts the selected were not enough for the mortgage companyWe were dropped with ZERO notificationThe refund premium check that arrived a week later informed usA WEEK with no insurance on a new mortgageThat is COMPLETELY unsatisfactoryI am just glad nothing happenedSTEER CLEAR of them!

We lost our house and everything we owned to a fire in the aftermath of Hurricane IrmaUp until that time, I had been a homeowner for more than years without every filing a claim on my homeowners insuranceNeedless to say I was dazed, confused and scared as many unscrupulous people had come out of woodwork to "help me get my policy limits." I didn't engage with any of them, despite my fears that it would be difficult to resolve the claim directly with the insurance companyMy claims adjuster, Peter ***, was extremely professional in handling my claimCommunication was excellentHe explained everything to me in detail and reassured me that the insurance coverage was going to work as it shouldWhile it does take some time to go through the process of finalizing a claim of this magnitude, I was very satisfied with how it was resolved and grateful for Peter's professionalism

This is my first insurance claim ever!!! We have a new house and a pipe broke and our adjuster Edward *** couldn't have been more helpfulHe walked us through the whole process and resolved everything with no incidentI can see why Geico refers customers to them for homeowners insuranceI would highly recommend this company

I was surprised and pleased at the smooth process for handling my claim From the time I contacted "Gail" to file the claim on 9-24-through the initial contacts by the adjuster, Edward ***, and inspector, David ***, on 9-and 9- Through the inspection, trying to find matching tile thru Nativo, and ultimately payment of the claim on 10-18-both David and Edward kept me informed every step of the wayAt age 72, I have never filed a homeowners policy claim until this year and did not know how the process would work Very smooth and positive

I can't say enough great things about this company and Ed ***! We were hit by a double tornado in our new mobile home last September This company was here for us within hours and went above and beyond checking on us and our welfare Ed was kind, considerate, compassionate and an all around amazing human being! I can never thank him enough for his wonderful demeanor and helping us tremendously with our claim This was the best insurance company we have ever dealt with

Barbara *** exceeded all my expectations for claims specialist after my Recent experience with hurricane Florence she was always professional and there to answer all my questions about my benefits I would recommend Cabrillo Ins andHarbor claims for insurance and help settling claims

Closed out my account due to sale of home and have been waiting now for weeks for my reimbursement of paid funds...said check was mailed on 18th...its now the 3rd...they have been easy to communicate with, but the follow through is not thereWhy do they only mail things out on fridays?

We suffered a loss from Hurricane Irma and were not familiar with the claims processNeighbors with varying insurance providers were experiencing both positive and negative responses from their respective carriersMrEd ***, reviewed our claim and receipts and provided a fair assessment of the covered vsnon-covered expenses, resulting in the immediate issuance of a reimbursement check Mr*** also replied timely and professionally to all inquiries and emailsGiven the magnitude of Hurricane Irma and the number of claimants, I believe Harbor Claims responded timely to my claim

I was with Cabrillo Coastal General Insurance Agency for over yearsThey never had to pay for any damage during this periodAll of a sudden they drop my insurance without giving any prior noticeThe reason behind the cancellation was my roof was getting too oldStay away from
Cabrillo Coastal General Insurance AgencyYou cannot trust them

I called my insurance agent and filed a claim and the agents secretary told me that Harbor Claims would call within a coupe of daysEd from Harbor called the next day and left a message, and he followed up the next day with an email explaining the entire process with a loss assessmentHarbor also sent out a letter sharing more information which I received within a coupe of more daysAfter I emailed the needed documents, Ed replied stating that the claim was approved and the check was in the mail
This was a very smooth process, no delays, stress free and Harbor earned a Star RatingI have had there insurance for three years and don't know anyone who works for Harbor

We sustained significant damage (over $80,000) to our home during Hurricane FlorenceIt was a very stressful time for our family, but it was made easier thanks to Cabrillo Coastal InsuranceWe contacted the company during the hurricane and we began the claims process even before the storm had ended Within a few days and even before we had electricity restored, the adjuster was on-site to work with us and the company got us our first check shortly thereafterThanks to our claims administrator, Ed ***, we were able to move expeditiously to engage a mitigation service to stop further deteriorationWe could then begin reconstruction to put our home back togetherEd was very responsive and promptly handled our additional claims and adjustmentsHe exceeded our expectations and we are very grateful to him and Cabrillo Coastal Insurance for standing behind us when we needed help mostI highly recommend this insurance company for homeowners coverage

As a first time homebuyer I originally selected this company for my homeowners insurance as they were the best price After two and a half months, I received a cancellation letter stating that my policy was being canceled effective two and a half weeks from the date on the letter due to failure to provide proof of repair to my drivewayMind you, I never received ANY correspondence that repairs needed to be made to my driveway After a couple days of going back and forth they provided pictures of a couple cracks that were in my driveway - Not major cracks but cracks that come with age (My house was built in the 70's), the same kind of cracks that any person in any home in any neighborhood would have in their driveway I was told that the repairs needed to be made so that no one would trip or fall, again the cracks are not even noticeable, as the homeowner I stood in my drive way with the pictures in hand for almost minute before I realized what cracks they were talking about, the only thing that was going to make someone fall in my driveway was gravity I requested an extension to get the repairs done, I argued that they had the pictures for over two MONTHS and they were barely giving me that amount of time in WEEKS, they extended my policy another DAYS and that was it I don't agree that if a company has known about an issue for MONTHS that the client should only get a couple WEEKS to respond, that's just bad business and a complete lack of communication on their part

Excellent and quick assistancePrompt resolution and payment for my issue

Unethical practices I asked for an insurance quote for homeowners insuranceI did not sign any electronic or paper applications to accept a policy, however, this company sent me a new policy I immediately contacted them that this was a policy that had not been accepted and should immediately be cancelledThey said they would cancel
They subsequently submitted an invoice to my mortgage servicing bank, who promptly paid this out of my escrow funds All this while I have an existing insurance policy in effect
A week later, they tried to switch insurance on a home equity loan We were contacted by the second bank for verification The bank officer said US Coastal claims that we cancelled our existing policy for their-this is a total lie
We were then contacted by a home inspection company to set up an inspection appointment- which I obviously declined
I was pointed to this company through *** Insurance for a homeowners quote, which apparently they don't do directly

Anyone looking to actually have homeowners owners insurance on their property should without question look elsewhere. This company will charge you a premium for 7, 8, 20 years,. but, once you have an actual loss your claim is guaranteed to be denied. Their adjusters are very rude and abrupt henchmen skilled in the art of combing the policy for ambiguous language that they claim in some perverse way excludes them from paying the claim. If you request a mediation hearing with an independent party to discuss the denial, they just ignore your letters and calls.. After a quiet period of several months, from your initial complaint, you'll receive a cancellation letter from them stating that they were unable to verify that the repairs you reported in claim had been preformed in a manner acceptable to them. TRUST ME FOLKS, DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY, TO INSURE YOU AGAINST LOSSES. YOU WILL FIND, AS I DID, THAT UPON AN ACTUAL INCURRED LOSS, YOU ONLY HAD THE ILLUSION OF BEING INSURED. Pay the few extra dollars and get yourself a legitimate policy.

I was pointed to this company through [redacted] Insurance for a homeowners quote, which apparently they don't do directly.

Our family held a land lord policy with Carbillo Coastal for our NYC rental property. Our policy was cancelled because its subsidiary, Imperium Insurance Company, no longer served NY customers. We did not receive any notice of the cancellation because Cabrillo Coastal sent the cancellation notice to the tentant's address instead of our mailing address. Cabrillo Coastal admitted this was an error on their part and sent me a copy of the letter. We were informed of the policy cancellation two weeks after it was terminated by the broker they assigned us. The broker had no excuse why they did not contact us after they received the cancellation notice one month before the policy was cancelled. All of these errors resulted in us having a lapse of insurance on our record. After no fault of own, NO reputable insurance company or broker will take us as a customer. Cabrillo Coastal and The Rainey Agency should make efforts to have this removed from our record, as the lapse was their responsibility.
