Ms***, We apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort our calls might have caused youOur company strives to provide excellent service to all of our customers, current or notWe have on-going training for all our customer service representatives to ensure they treat our customers with the
respect they deserveOur representative *** will be contacting you to apologizeWe assure you your experience with us will be different the next time we communicate

We do apologize for any inconvenience or
misunderstanding
this may have caused you. After careful review, we have determined some
of these allegation are invalid. We strongly feel we have followed proper
company policy and procedure. We never received the payment you said you
sent on February 16, 2016. We attempted to contact you numerous times as
of February 23, at the contact numbers you provided. You never
returned any of our calls. You left us no choice than to recover our
collateral. We put your vehicle out for repossession on March 7, at
this time you were day past due on a first payment default.
Unfortunately, as you stated on your complaint you made a payment for $at
9:pmClearly this was after hours. On March 8, you called
our office times starting at 8:am. I’m glad you were able to get
ahold of us to clear and inform us you had made payment. I don’t know why
the website would say you owe $yet you sent $308. All monies paid by
you have been posted to your account and I will be more than happy to provide a
payment ledger for your review
Should you require further assistance regarding this matter,
please contact me directly at *** and answer any question you may
have.
Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern: We take every complaint very seriously and investigate every complaint made thoroughly. It is our policy to treat every customer with the respect they deserve. We follow local and federal laws and continuously train our employees to abide by these laws and
company policies. We apologize that you feel we fell short here. After careful review of your complaint we have come to the conclusion that some of your allegations are either NOT true or without merit. When we talked to you on July 17, we advised you that your account was past due and we needed a payment on your account no later than Friday, July 21, 2017. We reminded you this was the first payment on your account and the importance of making this and all future payments on time. We offered you suggestions and our different payment methods to ensure your payment would reach us NO later than Friday, July 21, 2017. We did NOT receive a payment or call from you on Friday, July 21, 2017. We attempted to contact on Friday, July 21, 2017, Monday, July 24, 2017, Tuesday, July 25, 2017, Wednesday, July 26, 2017, Thursday, July 27, and were unsuccessful. We left numerous messages for you to call us back regarding your past due account and you did NOT respond. On July 27, you left us NO other choice than to proceed with the recovery our collateral. On July 28, we received a partial payment of $which was NOT enough to cover your past due amount of $437.30. You did NOT call or make any arrangements to cover the remaining balance on your past due account. We continued to call you and continued to actively work in recovering our collateral. Your vehicle was repossessed on July 31, 2017. You contacted us first thing in the morning at 8:am on that day asking for the amount you needed to pay to reinstate your loan. We quoted you the amount of $minus two (2) partial payments you had already made totaling $leaving the amount left to pay to reinstate your loan of $784.17. On August 2, 2017, you called again and we quoted the amount of $because you had made another partial payment of $we explained the breakdown to you thoroughly and in detail. The “notice of intent to sell” was mailed on August 8, and the amount on the notice is $which is the amount we quoted you from the beginning. I really don’t understand why the confusion or any misunderstanding as the amount to reinstate your loan has NOT changed. You have chosen to make partial payments and have NOT covered the full amount you need to pay to reinstate your loan. The “notice of intent” will expire on August 23, 2017. You have up until that day to pay the amount still owed to reinstate your loan. Despite our position on this matter, we have addressed this complaint with every employee, stressing the importance of ensuring great customer service to all of our customersPlease contact me directly at *** and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have or clarify any misunderstandings. Sincerely, *** *** Collection Manager Tell us why here

have determined that these allegations are
either inaccurate or without

regarding your past due accountYou never called us back. on August 27,
your account was days past due and you left us no other choice than to

is used to track our vehicle during the recovery process or in the event you
vehicle is stolen as the dealer explained. Also, the due date change you
are requesting cannot be granted as you originally signed your contract on
March 13, your first payment should have been due day from that date on
April 13, 2015. However, your first payment was made due on April
27, you were given days to make your first payment NOT days.
We are willing to move your due date back to the 13th of every month
which will only make your account more past due. As of today your account
is days past due. We continue to call you and you are NOT calling us
back or made any attempt to bring your account current

In the 2+ years we have had our truck we haven't had a problem with this company and all of a sudden we are $away from paying it off and are payment is only for days late and by law there is a day grace period they call my fiance at work in Long Beach (we live in Riverside, Ca) and threaten him telling him that if he didn't have $by noon that day they were going to shut our truck down from running! They were rude to him and also they added $dollars to our payoff amount and I questioned it and they said it was interest on late payments!

Dear ** ***,
We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may
have caused. After thorough investigation, the problem we found is the
stop payment you placed on your account back in April 2015. Our on-line
payment processor, *** ***
***, has record of this stop
payment on file and the transaction (payment) was NOT submitted to your
bank. You were charged the $processing fee that you agree to pay to
process a payment regardless if your payment is submitted or NOT. In
order to be able to process payments on-line we need written documentation from
your bank that the stop payment from California Auto Finance is no longer in
force. In the meantime, if you continue to process a payment on-line it
will be processed and you will be charged a $processing fee but your payment
request will be cancelled and will NOT be submitted to your bank.
However, in an effort to resolve this issue we will credit
the returned check fee we charged your account. Unfortunately, we cannot
credit you for the $processing fee charged to your account since the
payment request was processed and charged by our payment processor
Again, we apologize for the misinformation. Our company strives to provide
excellent service to all of our customers. We have on-going training for
all our representatives to ensure they are up to date with the latest policies
and procedures and we assure you your experience with us will be different the
next time we communicate

When we discuss payment issues with the company and let them know that the payment was mailed by our bank, they get nasty on the phone and demand that we make the payment through *** *** and pay the extra feeThey send us to "collections" if they don't receive our payment on the due dateThey are rude as ever when you discuss anything with themWhen I have a concern regarding our loan they talk over us with sarcasm comments so unprofessionalWe requested over the phone to please send us a statement for our records due to us not receiving oneTheir response to us was “all of the sudden you didn’t receive one”, and said No we can’t issues you anotherThe person we spoke with stated her name (Daisy)Also they stated to me that they are to stop all contact with anyone else regarding our vehicleThey are to discuss the account only with us and no one elseTwo of the contacts that we listed where no longer on my contact loan listI fell harassed when addressing my concernsWhen transferred to speak to a supervisor goes straight to voice mail and never get a call backThank

We at California Auto Finance strive to provide excellent
service to all our customers. We regret that you feel we fell short in this
case. However, after careful review of your account, and your complaint, we
have determined that these allegations are either inaccurate or without
merit.  We have been leaving numerous messages for you to contact us
regarding your past due account. You never called us back.  on August 27,
2015 your account was 31 days past due and you left us no other choice than to
proceed in recovering our collateral.  The tracking device on your vehicle
is used to track our vehicle during the recovery process or in the event you
vehicle is stolen as the dealer explained.  Also, the due date change you
are requesting cannot be granted as you originally signed your contract on
March 13, 2015 your first payment should have been due 30 day from that date on
April 13, 2015.  However, your first payment was made due  on April
27, 2015 you were given 45 days to make your first payment NOT 30 days.
We are willing to move your due date back to the 13th of every month
which will only make your account more past due.  As of today your account
is 45 days past due.  We continue to call you and you are NOT calling us
back or made any attempt to bring your account current.

We take every complaint seriously and we will investigate every allegation you have made.  However, after careful review of your account and this complaint we have determined that these allegations are either inaccurate or without merit.  We contacted you on December 16, 2015 to inform you...

that the payment you made on 12/7/2015 for $209.69 to cover your November payment had been returned by your bank for non-sufficient funds.  You agreed to make a partial payment of $172 on December 16, 2015 and another payment of $172 by the following Friday on 12/25/2015.  However, the payment you made on December 16, 2016 was returned by your bank for non-sufficient funds on December 21, 2015.  Therefore, the arrangements we had were NO longer valid.  Despite the two checks that were returned by your bank we continued to work with you to help you bring your account current.  You made another payment via check for $172 on December 21, 2015 and you made another payment for $172 through Western Union on December 23, 2015 which brought your account current with the exception of the non-sufficient funds fee and late charge.  Then on December 29, 2015 another check was returned by your bank for non-sufficient funds.  As a courtesy to you we accepted a payment of $120 to cover the minimum payment due which you paid on January 7, 2016 thru Western Union.  You still have an amount due of $24.68 to cover late charges and non-sufficient funds fee.  All payments you have made have been credited to your account accordingly.  We do apologize for any inconvenience or misunderstanding this may have caused you. Our company strives to provide excellent service to all of our customers. We have on-going training for all our customer service representatives to ensure they treat our customers with the respect they deserve.   Should you require further assistance regarding this matter, please contact me directly at [redacted] and I will be more than happy to provide an account ledger and answer any question you may have. Sincerely,[redacted]

complaint, we have
determined that these allegations are either inaccurate or without merit. We
have never called or attempted to contact customer 5 days after being past due.
At times, if a payment has been mailed and we have allowed a reasonable amount
of time for payment to arrive, we  will suggest sending payment thru
Western Union just in case payment is lost in the mail and to ensure we receive
payment.   All of our accounts are handled by our collections
department.  As per the sales contract there is a 10 day grace period
which we honor.  However, we do make courtesy calls as a reminder that we
have not received payment on their account.  Please be assured that all
your numbers have been removed along with all references. We will contact you
by mail only.  Furthermore, all of our calls have been conducted
professionally, abiding by the FDCPA. Despite our position in this case, we
have addressed this complaint with every employee who has reviewed this

Every month I have a new problem with them. Online payment is a joke. Month one took them three weeks to process payment. Month two payment never goes through, I recieved an email with receipt of payment but the money never left account. Month three my payment due date has changed? Late fees for all!!! Month four online account info says no balance due, last payment made in 1967?!?! Month five payment goes three weeks without being processed had to call and have rude lady tell me I must have entered wrong account number. I copy and paste from a file the same way each month. Month six money is taken from my account two days before I go online to make payment. They tell me I set up auto pay. I have never and would never do auto pay. Not my thing. Had to go through my bank to stop payment. Month seven they take the five dollar fee for transfer from my account but not the car payment. I called to ask about it and the rude man tells me it's because my bank stopped payment. Sorry but that was last month buddy not this month. I asked for his manager and he said he was account manager and there is nothing anyone can do.
