Squarespace refuses to provide phone support...even if you are disabled and require extra help to use their website development tools

The squarespace platform for websites offers customers a choice between paying monthly, or receiving a discount and paying annuallyOn the customer's account page, it lists "pay annually, save 20% and get a free domain." However, after the first year, they charge $for the domainOn the customer's billing page, however, it lists the free domain as a benefit to paying annuallyThere is no statement in the customer's account that this will be billed separately

Besides the fact that customer service, and technical assistance are non existent, this company is horrible when you cancel your accountIt turns out that when you cancel your account for the website, you cannot cancel the domain registrationYou need to go to a separate are to cancel the auto domain renewal, and this is not clearly statedI had no idea I would be charged to renew a domain I no longer wanted, until the bill appeared on my credit cardSquarespace stated after the fact that a domain may not be cancelled after daysWhen I contacted them they refused to refund the dollar domain renewal charge, although they did state that it would not renew next year

I paid for a year subscription for my website in FebruaryI have not been able to access my webpage, nor have my clientsI have send ove emailsThey have no customer service number and at this point I want my money back

Hello!
I signed up for a domain with Squarespace last year but once that expired I started to receive phone calls and emails to my personal email address from web designers and other companies offering web services like web design, etcthat I've never expressed my interest inI asked one of the telemarketers who called where they got my information from and they hung up on meThey call me at least once or twice a day asking me about the website I used to have with squarespaceI believe once you decide to discontinue your business with the company, they sell your information to external and third-party companies whose aim is to try to scam you into using their servicesI never allowed my information to be shared and now I have to change my phone number and pay for that in order to avoid being harassed on a daily basis

Squarespace provides no help for accounts that have been compromised, locked out, or hijackedThe company I work for restructured and completely re-staffedA former employee set up a Squarespace account on our behalf and the login information was lost during the restructureWe are a design agency and make sites for many clientsWe have made five attempts to retrieve information and verify our accountSquarespace asked for an employee's personal driver's license and insisted that was the only way to verify the accountThis is a flawed security measure as our employees have no personal affiliation with our clients’ websites or the original account that they are underSquarespace is unwilling to escalate or review our situation without a personal driver's license and we refuse to provide it We have, however, offered to verify our company and the relationship with our clients (and their websites)

Squarespace has been sending me emails in an attempt to solicit my bank informationThey are claiming that my payment method was declinedI have never had an account with this organization

I have never been to ***But they sent me emails that contained my first name, last name, and middle initialAnd I do not appreciate Alex A*** and/or SquareSpace collecting, using, and dispersing my personal information

On Sunday, September **, I contacted Squarespace about a suspicious e-mail that mimicked their styleThe e-mail warned me my Squarespace website and domain would be shut off within hours, and asked for information
On Monday, September ** I received a response from a Mike that indicated my payment for September was late and that may have caused an issue, but that the e-mail I received was a fake designed to extract personal info
This struck me as a strange answer because my payment for September was made on the due date (September **)It's done automaticallyI had a bad feeling about this response from SquarespaceTwo hours later I lost some functionality on my site -- I can no longer view the site's visitation statistics on my cell phone, something I'm used to doing several times daily
I notified Squarespace by e-mail about the loss but haven't received a response
I suspect the loss of functionality is some kind of harassment, perhaps linked to my earli

I purchased a domain name through square space last year and tried to cancel my order within the day processing limit only to have no help until after the days had passedAfter that I was basically sent links to customer support that I had already read and found it impossible to get a reasonable answer from customer serviceA year goes by and the same domain name I tried to cancel registration for automatically renews charging me $for a simple domain registry that I already asked be canceledKeep in mind this domain registry would cost be less than $anywhere elseI found there customer service links to deceptive and blatantly hard to find and riddled with unhelpful links that just send you in circles

I have had an account and website with squarespace for over a yearI leave for vacation overseas and days into the vacation my website goes down as does my associated emailI contacted squarespace immediately so that they could fix the problem but since I didn't have my login information with me (it's too long to memorize) they refused to fix the problem even though their tech support knew what the problem wasI returned home from my vacation and followed their steps to fix my website and email, which was simply that I had to verify my domainI asked why I had to verify my domain as nothing had expired nor had I made any changes to the site in months; my concern was that this could happen again After talking with multiple customer service reps, the only response I received is that it must have been something I did and they could not retrieve any other data as to why I had to verify my domain That's an unsatisfactory response given that the reason you pay for web hosting is so that issues like this are mitigated The best thing I can say is that their tech support was friendly, but I will be transitioning away from squarespace after this issue

Squarespace does not allow direct billing of bank accountsWhen my credit card on file was inadvertently canceled by my bank they notified me by a personal email I do not use instead of my professional email that they provide for meThey invoiced me for $for a professional service plan, they no longer will let me pay that invoice but instead are attempting to force me into a more expensive comparable planThey will not reactivate my site for the agreed to price

I initiated service with Squarespace on 12/**/I received email correspondence up until 11/**/alerting me that my domain was scheduled for renewal on 12/**/On 12/**/2016, days prior to my renewal date, I contacted Squarespace customer care and asked if it would possible to cancel my domain renewal and receive a refund for the pending charge on bank accountSeveral representatives told me this would not be the case despite being within the realm of time allotted for cancellationIf it necessary to cancel before days, all correspondence should accurately reflect that notion

Horrible company They are all too happy to take your money and provide no serviceIf you select monthly billing they bill you early before the end of the month and even if you try to cancel the renewal a few hours later the same day they will not honor it Rip off artists

On the *** website, the current "Pricing" page indicates that the month-to-month fee for a "personal" website is $12/monthWhen I decided to purchase a subscription, the price jumped to $/ monthI assumed that I'd misread the pricing page and paid the $via ***I went back to the Pricing page and saw that it was still advertising a fee of $12/monthI contacted their customer service to find out why I was being overchargedI received a response that they were testing new pricing plansThey explained that the $plan replaces the $plan but has fewer featuresIf I want to get all of the features from the $plan, I need to pay $per monthEach time I respond to them, they pass me along to some new who gives me the same responseThey apologize for not being able to take me out of the pricing testNo one seems to think that this is actually advertisingNor do they think a customer should have an issue with it

The charges are incorrect, our business transaction(s) was/were unsatisfactory Their website states: "Cancelling your subscription takes your site offline immediately" We did this and they continued to bill us What they declared was not delivered, promised This is very misleading
Bottom Line: We cancelled out our service with squarespace in June of They've been billing us after our cancellation from them

I was automatically billed $26/month for a business website planI planned on trialing this service October for one monthI was unaware of their auto renewal feature for months until my account was overdrawn this monthI tried to talk to customer service about this but received generic responses about their billing policy and refund policy

I subscribed to Square space ( and internet building website) on September **, 2018, for $ monthly e-commerce basic plan This plan is set to auto-renew (unless canceled by the subscriber) on October **, **I have screenshots and email correspondence to prove this as well**
Well, on September **, 2018, I decided to get an integrated email address solely for my online businessPer, their website this service is free for the first year then you are billed either at $monthly or $annually come the following year ( which will begin to bill on September **, 2019)** I chose to opt in for that deal, so I made an email address: ***Once this transaction was completed my card was charged $and I received an email notification on how to set it upI also received an updated notification under my "billing" tab within my Squarespace account ( renews for $on September **, 2019) Since this email offer was offering users a "f

AwfulI spent hours developing a websiteThen I registered my domain name and couldn't even link it to GsuiteReally? So now I have domain name and website with no email associated with itUseless and a waste of time

I have never heard of or used their services but I was charged three times $back in April 24, I have reported it to my bank and eventually the claims were reversedI don’t have access to any of their paid services after the charges and I have no recieved a reply from their contact methods on their site for over a yearHow is it they can get away with theft?
