I bought one case of meat different kinds of steak and hamburger. There are lots of problem I will list

>show meats quickly cannot really see how thin the steaks are 1/4 inch think lead to believe they were 3/4 inches

> has the worst taste I don’t even think this meat is from a cow

> already small meat shrinks way up

We are sorry to hear **. [redacted] is unhappy with her purchase, and we will be happy to replace it with the same item or another of equal value of her choosing. Unfortunately, without receiving a written request to rescind your order via certified mail within 3 days of purchase, we are unable to offer a refund. As I'm sure you are aware, because of strict USDA guidelines, we are unable to resell any product once it has left our inspected facilities. As we'd have no way to guarantee the proper handling of meat once it leaves our hands, we are forced to uphold and maintain this return policy at all times.

Although our policy states that we guarantee product against freezer burn only, we sell an excellent product that we completely stand behind. With thousands of boxes we sell across our company each week, there will occasionally be a box that doesn't meet our high standards, and we are happy to replace that product.

Review: On April 18th, a door-to-door Capital Meats, Inc salesman ([redacted]) arrived at my home. He told me a story about having a dispute with one of my neighbours about whether an order had been paid for. (At first I thought he wanted me to take delivery of an order for my neighbour.) He then said he would like to just finish the deal so he could go home and wanted to offer me a great price on the meat he was selling. I told him I was not interested about five times. He was very pushy and so I finally wrote him a check to get rid of him. Shortly after he left, I called my bank to try to stop payment on the check but he had already cashed the check. I then called him to tell him I did not want the order and wanted him to return to pick up the goods and refund my money. He told me he was already in another state, which seemed unlikely. I pointed out that I was calling him well within the three day "cooling off period" he had mentioned and he said he would return on Monday. On Monday when I called to find out when he would be arriving, he said he wouldn't be able to make it and that he would come on Wednesday. I called him all day Tuesday and also Wednesday morning to find out when he would be returning. None of my calls were returned. I then called his headquarters in Baltimore to send a message to him. After filing a complaint with his office about him, he called to say he wouldn't be able to come on Wednesday and that he didn't know when he would. At that point I told him I would be reporting him to the Attorney General's Office and Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Refund my money and pick up goods at my residence.

The president of Capital Meats Inc. Has a semi with a skid or pallet of meat in boxes that have 6 boxes of meat in them delivered to each head office several times a month. Each box with 6 boxes cost scott ruffly 30$ a box he charges his sales men 90-135 or so per box. Giving him at least 60$ profit then the "Meat men" whom are charged 90-135$ a box must sell a 368$ double box of steak to a customers so out of the 368$ you pay for 2 boxes the president Scott M[redacted]l at least 120$ the employees paied 90-135$ per box so it cost the employees 270$ for those 2 boxes 12 small boxes that sales man just made at least 98$ but if the sales man only paid 100 per box so 200$ for 2 boxes and charged you 368$ then the sales man made a 168$ profit. The meat men don't give you the brochures because they pay for them.

Review: I bought seafood from them seafood was horrible tried to contact them for a refund or exchange. could not get anyone. and no one would call me back. finely called main office in va. ( [redacted]) talked to dawn and she put it on the md. office. still no one called me. second call . talked to Harvey c[redacted] at [redacted]) said he would send the guys back to my house to take care of it the next day.. well its 2 weeks later and still nothing. and not returning my calls.

Review: I was visited by a high pressure salesman and told him repeatedly that I could not afford to make a purchase.He asked if he could come in my house and it went downhill after that.He dumped all of his product on my kitchen floor even though I said no thank you as least 3-4 times.I ended up buying $596 for awful meat which I tried that night.I sent a certified letter - Notice of Rescission to the [redacted] Office and it was received on 9/24 at 1034 am. they have not answered the phone and do not have voicemail.I have called the corporate office twice and they do not answer. I have sent two messages to the corporate office (9/25 and 9/29) and left a voicemail on 9/29. they have not returned by calls either.

Review: I purchased meats from a door to door driver, Shane, on 7/29. The price he quoted me was $179, however my credit card was charged $206. I have called the customer service number, but it just keeps you on hold for an extended period and nobody ever answers. I have tried to visit the website, but it is down.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit for the difference between the quote and the charge. Alternatively, I can return the product for a full refund.

Review: Two guys in a truck came and high presssured my son into purchasing $70 worth of steak by saying it was left over from another order and he was going to give him a good price to take what he had left. My son said he was very persistant......my son bought the products and we found steak and cuts that were so think, maybe 1/4" thick. When I saw the truck in the neighborhood today I took the remaining steaks and asked for a refund. He told me to call the company. I called twice and no one ever answered.Desired Settlement: Get our money back and make sure they don't continue scamming other people.

Review: We purchased meat from one of the door-to-door salesman driving a capital meats company van about 2 weeks ago. The return policy states 3 days and you can get a refund. 1 day after we purchased steaks burgers and chicken we tried the steaks and burgers and they were chewy terrible taste and just didn't even look right after we grilled them. We called that night and asked for our money back, we have gotten nothing but the run around!! My wife has called and called with no return calls, received an email with no further follow up, the salesman even tried helping us get our money back and one week later he quite because of the companies shady practices. Now that we researched the company they have an over-whelming lists of ripped of customers and terrible products. Our next step if this is not resolved quickly is to report them to Action 9 in [redacted] who will research them and post it all over tv what they are doing.Desired Settlement: Our money back and product removed from our home immediately.

Review: This company has come to my house 5 times in the past year, twice in the past 3 weeks. Each time I've told them I'm not interested in their products, that we do our own butchering. Plus the fact that there is a farm behind my house that raises about 800 head of cattle, so I don't even know why they're trying to deliver to this area. The problem is they are not taking NO for an answer and keep coming back to my house. I don't know what else to do to get it through their heads that I'm not interested and to leave me alone. I DO have a no solicitation sign on my front door, but this recent time which was today 2/12/13, they came to my side door. Review: [redacted] came to our home on June 19th trying to sell us meat products from a company called Capital Meats. After telling us about the products and cost, starting at $438.00. My husband Danny and I decided on 2 cases of the Premium Steak. [redacted] sold them to us for 350.00. About a week later my husband cooked me one of the Flat Style Filet. I have to tell you it was one of the worse pieces of meat I have eaten in awhile. It was dry, tuff. We also gave my daughter and her husband a couple of the Choice NY Strip steaks. They only cooked one of them and could hardly eat it either.

I started calling [redacted] on June the 27th I was told by him that he would talk to his manger and get back to me. I did not receive a call back from him until July 11th telling they would not refund any of my money. I also called the [redacted] and talked to customer service. I never got a call back from them either. I then went to the Capital Meat home page. I then wrote out my complaint and received an email from [redacted]. She told me that she has not received my complaint until July the 5th. That she would work diligently to get my complaint resolved. Of course I never heard back from her! Then I received a phone call from a [redacted], on July 8th. He works for this company too. He was so bold to tell me that he too did not like Filet!! That he would see if he could get a refund for me. Of course I never heard back from him.

Of course I was NOT told by [redacted] that if I was not happy with my purchase I would have to send them a certified letter within 3 days to cancel the sale. When he called he said they would replace what I did not like. I told him why since I was not happy with any of their product. That I would just toss it out. He said I should give it to charity.. I thought if we can are having such a hard time chewing it and eating why would I want someone else to have the same problem?

Their customer service is by far the worse I have ever had to deal with. It seems to me they go around collect your money. Sell you products that are not eatable and if you complain they ignore you. I know Capitol Meat is NOT going to do a thing to satisfy me, they have made that clear. I just want to make sure someone else around her might not be as foolish to trust this company not to take your money and run.Desired Settlement: Refund at least 300.00 to me. We paid 350.00 in total

Review: On March 6 Tim Camphor sold a box of meats to me for $109.00. After I got them home, and thawed to cook I noticed immediately that something was wrong. The meats had at some point thawed, and were refrozen. This I know because when the product is thawed the blood separates from the meat itself. I contacted corporate headquarters at ###-###-#### On March 12 & 19th and spoke with [redacted]. After failed attempts, and false promised return phone calls I am now contacting Revdex.com. I left a message for the manager [redacted],###-###-#### and also spoke to [redacted] at ###-###-####. He however, was ignorant and not wanting to work on the situation. Instead, he spoke down to me insinuating I do not know about meat products and "freezing process". The meat has a horrible foul odor. I asked my monies to be refunded. It appears that no one wants to work on this with me. Another contact is [redacted] at ###-###-####, but she stated that Capital Meats subcontracts with [redacted], and this was out of her hands. I have sought medical attention do to the defective product. My husband unknowingly cooked a batch, and I wasn't aware the meat was tainted until it reached my mouth. Instantly the taste was horrid, bland and bitter. I have medical receipts to back this claim as well. I know the FDA sets regulations, which apparently arent being followed.Desired Settlement: I would like my $109.00 returned to me, and they can have the remaining products back., Although, im sure the FDA would NOT approve these sales.

Review: This evening a van with Capital Meats Inc. visited my elderly grandparents home. Two gentlemen exited the vehicle and knocked at the door. My eldery grandfather allowed them to enter their home as they claimed to be selling meat. They then proceeded to show meat being sold from in a van. This meat looked unappealing. My grandparents refused to buy the products being sold. These gentlemen, one [redacted] and one caucasion, REFUSED to take no for an answer, while walking around their home. My grandparents were concerned they were "casing their home" and asked them to pack their belongings and leave. The gentlemen refused, pushing their expired products trying to MAKE them purchase them. They were asked multiple times to leave, and kept refusing. My mother happened to notice the van, and we have had SEVERAL issues with robbery in our area with the same situation being the problem. She immediately phoned and my grandmother explained these gentlemen refused to leave. She called the police and once the gentlemen heard the police were coming, they packed their belongings and rushed out the door. Obviously this is not how business should be practiced. I would hope the Revdex.com could do something to stop these people.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate the company leaving customers alone when they refuse to purchase products. I understand it is trying times at the moment, but there is no reason to bully eldery people, or anyone for that matter. I expect this company to send an apology and RETRAIN their employees to be better at customer service.

Review: I purchased 2 BOXES of steak from salesman, Tim P[redacted] on July 28, 2014. This was my first time purchasing from them and Mr. P[redacted] stated if for any reason at all I was not satisfied, to call and my money would be reimbursed. I cooked 2 steaks, they tasted terrible, so bad that my husband and myself could not even finish them. I started calling the next day for someone to pick up the remainder of the steaks (1 full box and 1 box, minus the 2 steaks)and issue a refund. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I was prompted to leave a message which I did. I called every day, often 3/4 times a day and the same thing happened every time. Finally, I went to Capital Meats website and sent a message. Yea, I got a email the next day!!! Dawn F[redacted] stated that the manager from the Winchester office would be in touch with me. That was August 6th, and I have yet to hear from anyone. I did state in my complaint, that I would be in touch with the Revdex.com if I did not get this matter resolved.Desired Settlement: I would like to give back the steaks and receive a refund.

Review: On October 8 we purchased $3588.00 worth of meat and a free freezer. After trying some of the product we found it to be of poor quality. I contacted the sales person and told him we wanted to return the meat and the freezer and get a full refund. He to us we had to write a letter and wait to send it because no one would be in the office. We thought that strange to wait and send a letter so I went to their web site and they have to receive the letter three days after purchase. I did write a letter to the company and received a call, but was told the letter came to late and they could not give us a refund because of FDA restrictions. The manager did tell me they could exchange what we did not like for something else. If they can do that, why not take all the meat and give us a refund. They were to take our old freezer, but it would not fit in their van. Thank goodness because there was not enough room in the freezer they gave us.Desired Settlement: Capital Meats can take all their meat back and give us a refund. The meat is in it's original packaging and has been kept frozen since delivery. It was frozen when delivered.

Review: On August 5th a salesmen from Capital meats came to my home and I decided to give your meat a try. The sales tactic was slightly high pressure but against my better judgment I decided to treat myself and make the purchase. I am HIGHLY disappointed and quite ticked off. While completing the purchase with the representative Ray (Whose phone number I was given as his ID#) his assistant loaded the 6 boxes of meat into my freezer. 2 days later I went into my garage (that is where the freezer is) and I found that some of the meat was NOT in the freezer and was in fact laying on the floor in the garage several feet from the freezer. It was not a question of something falling out of the freezer ad it was nowhere near said freezer. Additionally the freezer door was not securely pushed closed letting air in and frosting up the entire freezer. I immediately called Ray and left a voicemail and then a text telling him to get back with me immediately or I would stop payment on the charge. He called me back a couple of hours later saying he would make it right. NO FURTHER CONTACT!! I texted him several times since then with no results. I contacted the company via their website and received the following email:

Please be assured that we will address this issue with the individuals involved, and have the manager contact you as soon as possible. that was 3 weeks ago! Two weeks ago I sent the following email in reply to the email I was sent:

Excuse me but its been 2 [redacted] weeks now with no further contact!! What the hell kind of business are you running?!? Or are you waiting for the charge to be a month old and hard to dispute?!?

Now it has been 3 weeks since my initial email to the company and a month since the incident with no further contact.Desired Settlement: I do believe that I have been incredibly patient and it is time for the company to make this right.

Review: My wife and I began purchasing Capital Meats Inc.'s products over 4 years ago. We worked closely with a specific salesman, Patrick, who always treated us fairly and would allow us to decline a sale. Our concern is not with him, though he has now unfortunately become part of the problem by association.

Capital Meats Inc. attempts sales to our neighborhood very frequently. The appearance and demeanor of the salesmen is frightening at times. Most are young kids, lacking basic conversation skills and proper etiquette. Their uniforms are dirty, hair unkempt, and some have tattoos all over (neck, arms, etc.) Their sales tactics are pushy and they typically bring me to the border of anger before they agree to leave my porch.

I work from home, and as such any distraction is not welcome. Capital Meats' house calls have become so frequent I am feeling harassed, as each time they knock it disturbs my dogs, which disturbs my sleeping toddler, and interrupts business calls/my day to day work.

I became very concerned for my family's safety when a "salesman" was bothering my neighbor one evening. My neighbor did not wish to buy any meat, which caused the "salesman" to thank him for wasting his (pardon the language) "[redacted] time" and then kicked his van door closed before yelling "[redacted]. This was around 7 in the evening when children and families were home.

Capital Meats Inc.'s website does not seem to work, so I was unable to contact them directly to ask them to cease and desist. I am annoyed and also concerned about my family's well-being. We have been eating more vegetarian meals also, and really have no desire to purchase meat.Desired Settlement: I wish for Capital Meats Inc. to guarantee that my address will no longer be solicited by any of their salesmen (including Patrick) from this point forward. I would like an apology for not properly vetting their employees. I simply wish to be left alone, but don't want to be forced to put up a "no soliciting" sign as I don't mind other polite salesmen making house calls at reasonable intervals.

Review: I bought meat from Capital Meats company and got the product on the spot the rep said that the meat was no additives no hormones all organic when I went on the website it did not say anything about that being true so I called the rep back and told him I was unhappy with the product he said he would come pick it up this was on April 25 and on the 3rd of May I called again because he did not come or answer the phone. My husband called him from a different number and he picked up and said he's out of town and will be back. We called back again called the company today tried corporate and got nothing. Talked to a lady today and they finally called us back but no results. We paid $370.00 cash and got no receipt on top of that,for the package of beef and chicken ..we just want our money back in cash the way we paid.Desired Settlement: We just want them to pick up the meat as soon as possible and give us a cash refund of $ 370.00 in cash.

Review: On July 7, 2014 two salesmen in a truck from Capital Meats made calls in [redacted], Tennessee where I was visiting relatives. It was approximately 3:15 pm. They were extremely pushy and it was clear that they had been programmed with a sales script and had strong direction not to leave without a sale, despite what the potential customer said. They were in a neighborhood where there are a lot of elderly people. They would not leave until my relative threatened them verbally and I started advancing toward them.

I believe the license was Tennessee plate number [redacted], but the truck is so cluttered with graphics that the plate is almost obscured by them.Desired Settlement: Do not call on the residences on [redacted] in [redacted] TN. (I do not feel comfortable giving you the house number).

Examine the tactics of the sales reps involved in the incident; terminate the reps
