At this time, I have not been contacted by Care Net aka "Credit Card Services" aka "Care Solutions" regarding complaint ID [redacted].  Investigation by my own Credit Card company immediately confirmed their...

Review: I received a call from Credit Card Services of my [redacted] card. They led me to believe they were working with my card company. When we called my card directly to give them permission to work on my card, I tried to explain to the [redacted] representative what the phone call was about. Before I could even finish the sentence, they put me on mute/hold and told me I couldn't mention why we were calling, just to approve the access to my account. Obviously, I told them I did not want to proceed because this didn't sound legit. I did not exchange any other information with them, but they are now threatening to send me to a collection agency to collect a service fee of $1040.00 for a service not conducted.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop calling me and not be able to collect this money since they are scam and didn't do anything on my account.

Review: On Saturday June **, 2015 I received a telephone call from a person who told me he was calling from [redacted] and that many people were cancelling their [redacted] Credit Cards because the interest rate was too high. He then asked me if I’d like to have my credit card interest rate lowered to 6.83% and asked me a bunch of personal questions about my account, etc. Of course I told him I was interested and then he passed me along to another person who told me they would lower my rate for a fee of 3 monthly payments of $199.00. This made me feel suspicious so I declined the offer.

That person then told me that if I refused the offer that [redacted]’s was going to cancel my credit card and require me to pay my balance in full in 3 months. Since I’m just finishing my [redacted] and my cash flow has been low due to all my doctor bills I felt really threatened and full of fear since I wasn’t sure if I could pay off the balance in 3 months.

This person then passed me along to a [redacted] named [redacted] who explained to me that she worked for Credit Card Services and her job was to get my interest rate down to 6.83%. She then asked me more information such as my mother’s maiden name, the last 4 digits of my social, etc. Then, she said she wanted to confirm that I had already committed to paying $199 for 3 months for her to get my interest rate down to 6.83%. I reluctantly agreed and told her I was feeling suspicious. She then made a few telephone calls to an alleged [redacted]’s Account representative to discuss bringing my interest rate down. The first [redacted]’s person was somehow disconnected and then we had to go through the whole procedure again. Meanwhile, I started thinking that perhaps I could call [redacted]’s myself and get my interest rate lowered if I so chose to do so.

This [redacted] then contacted a second alleged [redacted]’s representative who said they could reduce my rate down by 4%. At this point I became impatient and said I was done with this conversation and hung up. After I hung up they called me back 9 times from an "unknown number" that I couldn't block;.

When I returned home from my errands I sent an email to the [redacted]’s Customer Service and they told me this was a phishing scam (??? I don’t know what phishing means?) and that I should avoid them.

Today, (June [redacted]) I received a telephone call from [redacted] and I told her [redacted]’s told me this was a scam and I hung up on her. She then called me back and left a message telling me that I had committed to paying the $597 fee and if I wanted to cancel the order then call her back by 5 PM ET. So, I called her back and she told me she would try to cancel my order. She demanded that I give her the remaining digits of my social security number to process my request. After several minutes I reluctantly complied. She then told me she had to turn me over to her supervisor to complete the cancellation.

Meanwhile, I asked her to confirm the name of the company she worked for which is Credit Card Services, [redacted]. [redacted]’s telephone # is ###-###-####.

I was then told by her supervisor (I never could understand his name…he spoke broken English and doesn’t annunciate words very well) who basically told me that I was on the hook for 3 monthly payments of $199 for their services and that I should just go along with their program and get my reduced interest rate. I told him NO and to cancel any order that I had. He didn’t even know that I had an order and he didn’t even know who [redacted] was. He claimed there are 2 or 3 thousand [redacted]'s and he wasn’t familiar with her or what we had been working on. He then demanded that I confirm my 5 digit social security #.

Meanwhile, while arguing with this guy I [redacted] “Credit Card Services” and noticed they have a Revdex.com ranking of “F” and that one of the complaints said this company needs to be investigated and prosecuted for fraud.

This person refused to cancel my order so I told him he’d better cancel it. He then told me he would need to verify my social security # in order to see the order to cancel. After arguing with him I reluctantly gave it to him and then he told me he could not cancel the order. I told him that I would not authorize any payments for their services because I rejected the fact they could not get my interest rate to the level they originally promised. He then said I should just take advantage of their 0 interest rate offer and I said no. He started arguing with me so I hung up on him.

After hanging up with this guy I called [redacted]’s. [redacted]’s said they are not affiliated with Credit Card Services and told me that I should change my account and order a new credit card with a new account #. So, I ordered a new account #

However, I’m scared because I gave them my social security information and other certain information about my other various accounts. I’m feeling fearful this is more about an identity theft?

I want to report this and make people aware. Meanwhile, I’m scared and don’t know what to do about the info I did give them and I don’t want them to sue me for services I didn’t agree to.Desired Settlement: I want people to be aware of this company and I want them to be investigated for their scare tactics and put an end to their tactics to obtain your identity information.

Review: I felt like I was swept into purchasing their product, and was unclear when it was too late to back out until it was too late. They have no cancellation policy, and no policy for unsatisfied customers to stop the billing process. According to the people we spoke with on the phone, once they start working with you (which happens in the first phone call), then service is technically rendered, and payment is due. I received no email or written verification in any way of their services, or policies. I never signed any contract confirming that I wanted to use their services or pay their fee. I tried to negotiate with them and cancel the service, but was told that there is no way to do so, and that if I don't pay, they will send me to collections.

We called and asked them to send us written documentation of the terms of their program (the services they provide, the cost to us, the cancellation policy etc), and they refused to do so, stating that they only do things verbally. They also refuse to give a website or any email contact information.

I then called back to propose that I could just pay a 6th of their fee since they did help me with one out of 6 cards, and the manager refused to talk to me.

They also did not tell me how they intended to get my interest rates down on my credit cards, and once we started the process, I realized that they were doing exactly what I could have done myself, and had done in the past, which was to close the card and negotiate a hardship settlement with the credit card company.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel the service, and stop the billing process. I would be willing to pay one sixth of their bill, since they did help me with one out of the 6 cards that we discussed.

In the mean time, I have closed the bank account that I gave them access to so that the total payment does not come out.

Review: I was contacted on 10/**/13 by an automated notification advising I qualified to reduce my interest rate on my credit card. I wanted to see what they were offering so I pressed "1" and was connected with [redacted] who said I qualified to reduce my rate to 6.9%. I was then connected to [redacted] at what I thought was the bank who advised I qualified and would save $4400 but would have to pay them $1288. I asked multiple times why I would have to pay the bank to reduce my rate and was told I had to pay the difference of the interest that I would pay at the higher interest rate and what I would save. It didn't make sense so I said I wasn't interested, I was told that it was too late the process was already started. I demanded to stop the transaction and was transferred to a manager "[redacted]" who advised me that I could not stop the transaction and if I did, I had given them the authority to push my accounts into collection. I was then given 2 options, to take a balance transfer into my bank account or open a new credit card and transfer the balances of the other 2 cards onto this card. With the threat of my accounts being put into collection I opted for the new card. I was then transferred to [redacted] ###-###-#### who took all of my personal info and pulled my credit report while I was on the phone. I asked the name of the company the credit card would be from and she quickly said a name I could not understand and transferred me to [redacted] to complete the credit card charge which they reduced to $940. when the credit card would not accept the transaction, [redacted] asked for my personal info again to approve the transaction. It was not until this point that they identified themselves as Carenet. I cancelled the credit cards they called me on the next day and have disputed the credit card charge as fraudulent as I felt they used unethical tactics to get my personal information.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop these unethical-strong arm-tactics so that they don't take advantage of other consumers like they did me. I want the entire transaction cancelled and I want them to remove all of my personal information from their systems and not to contact me again.

Review: I am complaining for my father. He has [redacted]. This company talked him in to giving out his checking account information. Now, they are going to be taking out $223.00 for the next 4 months equalling $892.00. They told him that he would save on his credit card interest. What exactly is he paying for???? They text my mother's phone, told my father to tell her to type "YES"....so, she did. Now, they have that she agreed to pay this company. They called them back and said they don't want. My father had no idea what he agreed to. The company refused to cancel. They told them the would go to "collections".Desired Settlement: I want this cancelled. I don't want my parents responsible for these charges. We have cancelled that checking account. I do not want them billing my parents.

Review: I received a call from a company called: Credit Card Services who claims that their business address is: [redacted]. He even provided a toll-free number which he said I should call to confirm that he is a valid company: ###-###-####. He said for a one-time fee of $894 he can guarantee me savings of at least $4,200 by negotiating lower credit card interest rates. I gave him my full name, social security number, address and he even knows the full credit card numbers of two of my credit card numbers. He called the credit card companies with me on the phone saying that he is my financial advisor and would try to negotiate a lower interest rate. He said that he would do all the talking and try to talk to the credit card company saying that it is a hardship situation and the only reason I have been able to pay the minimum and more is because I am using savings. I began to get suspicious after we were mysteriously disconnected from the credit card company and when he said he was going to run my credit report, but received an insufficient information error. I continued to stay on the phone with him and told him I was beginning to feel that he was not legitimate. I asked him what his website is and he said that their website was taken down after the security breach with [redacted] happened and all those customer accounts were compromised. This seemed very strange. Then I attempted to find the company online searching both by the name and the address, but nothing by credit card services came up, except for Care Net. That is when I saw all these complaints which were so similar to what I was experiencing and I hung up. He continued to try calling and said I was still going to get charged the $894. I said how can you charge me for this when you have not provided the service that you say you guarantee? He said that I should stay on the phone while we contact another credit card company which has a higher interest rate. I felt too uncomfortable revealing personal information to my credit cards with him on the phone hearing all of it. The only way to receive his service was to reveal this personal information to the customer service people so that he could "negotiate a lower credit card rate" and that I would pay $894 to save $4200. I requested new credit cards for both cards and never called him back. Do not stay on the phone long enough for this individual to be able to get $ out of your checking account or credit card! I feel like a fool for having stayed on the phone for so long, so I am posting this complaint hoping that this does not happen to you as well.Desired Settlement: The [redacted] or some organization should investigate and prosecute this organization for misrepresentation and fraud.

Review: The company presented itself as a bank and promised to lower my interest rate. Asked a crap load of questions and opened up a bank credit card on my behalf without my permission, to then give me a lower interest rate for a crazy fee. When I found out that this was a scam by researching online, I cancelled the entire process, including my payment, my account they opened, and told the banks this was fraudulent in nature. They then have harassed me telling me I owe them for services rendered, none of which was actually done because I realized this was a scam. In two days after this happened, I got 57 phone calls. The harassment and the threatening for collections for providing no service whatsoever is ridiculous.Desired Settlement: I would like the phone calls to stop and the collections to remain off my record. I don't owe the company any money, and the fact that they don't see that needs to be resolved.

Review: I received a call from a company called logic woks, which stated that they resolve credit card debt. I was not aware of the company and they proceeded to keep me on the phone and somehow applied for a credit for me with capital one. They stated that for applying for credit cards for me that I now owe them about $798, for thier services. I have researced the company and everything I read has stated it is a scam. All they did was take my social and information and apply for cards so I can make balance transfers. I was not in my right mind and I was not sure what was going on with the phone call, usually my mother handles these situations for me. I was taken advantage of and now the phone calls will not stop. Please help me with this matter. The number they keep calling me on is ###-###-####. Thank you and please help. .Desired Settlement: I would like them to stop contacting me and to have my bill erased, so I dont owe them anything, I do not feel they provided any service. I dont want this bill to report to collections.

Review: I was contacted by Logic Works stating they represented all of the credit card companies. They already had my information so I thought the call was legitimate. I was told I qualified for a lower interest rate. Then it became a call of almost 3 hours. I had recently been hospitalized and by the third person I spoke with a [redacted], he called the credit card and fraudgently, lied to them stating I was sick and had to remodel my house to accommodate my illness. He futher stated that all I could afford was $280.00 and I was told to let him "talk" and just follow his lead. They said it would be sent to a part of the company for review and I would be contacted. I heard nothing in the conversation regarding it being approved, which I told [redacted]. He then informed me I would owe him $788.00. I told him I was not going to pay for anything until it was resolved with the credit card company I had to go out of town and had already scheduled a payment. My payment was due on the [redacted], I have never been late and was not going to accommodate his new number of $280.00 until I had it in writing. He said that it was confirmed but I never heard anything like that, they said it would be reviewed. I stupidly gave them my bank account due to 3 hours of pressure. I thankful had made my payment in full because I received a letter stating I owed them the same amount. Nothing was approved and all he did was keep me on the phone for 3 hours. I kept telling him I was tired and needed to get off the phone. I contacted them at Logic Works and informed them that I received a letter from a certain credit card wanting payment in full. I told [redacted] I was not going to pay unless I received a letter from my credit card company not just what he is telling me would be acceptable. I have to much in medical bills to pay someone who is just trying to make a commission. There was never anything disscussed about owing them too. My husband is a Contractor and he can spend days working on a proposal and he does not get paid until the job is done. I don't have the money to pay Logic Works for a service that was never that was never done. I keep getting harassing phone calls from different numbers and company names. I just received a call from supposedly [redacted]. The lady would not let me talk and told me it would go to collections. I have enough health issues without someone trying to take undeserved money. I really need some help in resolving this please. I appreciate your time in helping me. I don't check my emails everyday. If you need to contact me please call me on the number listed.Desired Settlement: I just want them to stop harassing me on the phone and not asking for money for something that was never done. I have the letter from my bank stating it was never approved.

Review: They contacted me to for a balance transfer on credit cards and charged me $700 for the service. I then get the new card in the mail and it's a 3% charge to do the transfer. I was let to believe they were doing the transfer and that was part of the $700 fee. When I was told no I asked for my money back because I don't want their service and they told me there are no refunds. I feel I was completely misled and they did not provide any service to me at this time. I get balance transfer mail at my house all the time with the 3% fee I do not need them for that. I spoke with a [redacted] @ ###-###-#### as well as a [redacted] I hope you can help or at least stop this company from ripping anyone else off.Desired Settlement: I would like some if not all of my money refunded to me due to the fact they did not provide any service to me.

Review: In 2013, I received a call from CareNet , a company that claims to be a credit counseling program. They stated that they would help me with my credit card payments. I was told they would contact me the next day to confirm our arrangements. After further consideration, I decided I did not want to use their services. When they called to confirm, I informed them of this and told them not to charge my credit card for their $841 fee. Therefore, I did not receive any services from this Company. Now a year later someone has contacted me from a collection agency stating that I am responsible for this debt of $841. I think this company is a scam and I want people to beware of CareNet. They expect me to pay for a service that I did not receive.Desired Settlement: Desired Settlement: Since CareNet did not provide a service for me, I want the threatening and harassing phone calls insisting I pay them or they will report me to the credit bureaus to stop. I do not owe them any money.

Review: The first unsolicited phone call led me to believe the gentleman was from Bank of America and was calling to reduce my interest rate on my card. I was unable to talk at the time, so he stated he would call me back the next day (Saturday, June *). I did receive a phone call back, and at that time was led to believe I was talking to someone from Citibank, ([redacted]), who would reduce rates on four of my credit cards down to at least 6.9%. The gentleman was giving me the last four of the credit card, and "for verification purposes" I had to give him the first twelve numbers. Once I had done this I was transferred to another person ([redacted]) who was going to reduce my interest rates on all four cards to at least 6.9%. We began by calling Bank of America, and after [redacted] identified himself as a private CPA representing me, I was asked to give my SSN# and mother's maiden name (started getting funny feeling in my stomach). After the call [redacted] admitted he may not be worth it to pursue Bank of America, but would look at other accounts. I also learned there was a charge of over $800 -- as I was supposedly going to be saving over $1600 once the interest rates were reduced. I started asking questions at this point, and the funny feeling in my stomach got worse. [redacted] also ran my credit report (and asked me to answer the identifying questions posed by the Credit Reporting Agency). [redacted] contacted Sears regarding my Visa, and after speaking with them, told me he couldn't get the 6.9, but would help me close the Sears account, and this would only cost me $596. He set up an appointment for July [redacted] then transferred me to a young lady who tried to get my banking information so I would be charge in two easy payments directly from the bank, otherwise they would charge my credit card the $8??.00 fee. I started to give the information, but then stopped and stated I wanted to think about this and would call them back on Monday. I was pressured again to give the information, but refused as I wanted to think about it. I called today (June**) to ###-###-#### (general customer service I was told) and stated I wished to cancel the July appointment and any services being offered. I was told it couldn't happen as Citibank had already been called. I stated no interest rates had been lowered, therefore no services had been rendered yet, so I wished to cancel. I was transferred to a "supervisor" and a rude gentleman told me it was too late to cancel. I stated it had not been three days, nor had they reduced any of my interest rates, therefore there should not be any payment transactions. The gentleman kept yelling at me that Cetebank (his spelling -- I asked) was called, and then said here we will call Cetebank and proceded to ring a telephone and answered it himself saying "Cetebank here." I finally asked him if I could record the call and he refused. I asked why it was a problem if what he was saying was honest and true. I was told to "have a nice day." I again called, this time I called the number ###-###-#### which was the original number they had called from and recorded on my cell phone. Spoke with [redacted], and requested cancellation of the appointment date. [redacted] confimed the appointment was cancelled. I stated, "therefore there would be no charges, correct?"...[redacted] said the file was still open. I said what does that mean? She said "never mind the file has been closed."Desired Settlement: Stop contacting me, and remove all charges (if any).

Review: Credit Card Services contacted me about lowering the interest rate on one of my credit cards. I was under the impression that they were lowering the rate on a card that I already had. Instead, they filed and application for me to recieve a new credit card with [redacted], and then do a balance transfer. They charged me a $798 fee for this service. When I realized what they had done, I tried to tell them I did not want their services, as I feel I was misled about how they were handling my financial situation. The manager told me that I had to pay them for their services regardless if I decided to do the balance transfer or not, and if I did not pay them for their services that they would report it to collections and it would hurt my credit. The manager was very rude, and when I consistantly asked to speak to someone else, he kept insisting there was no one I could talk to. So at this point I assumed I was stuck paying them and had to do the balance transfer. When the financial advisor called me and we together contacted [redacted] to do the transfer, [redacted] informed me that they were charging me a fee of $300 to do the transfer. Again, this was never made clear from Credit Card Services. Now, I was going to be out almost $1,100 for a service that I could have done on my own. That's when I decided to contact Revdex.com because I felt it was a scam.Desired Settlement: I cancelled payment to the company. I did not do the balance transfer. I am requesting that this action does not hurt my credit score.

Review: It was my understanding they were with discover card they had all my information. he informed me to lower my APR I was not aware they were going to charge me 798.00. then also ill still be paying my credit card premium on top of this fee. not even Twenty-four hrs. later I called to cancel , I was then told they would not and was going to send me to a collection agency. The personnel were very rude and not professional.Desired Settlement: to not ruin my credit history
