to address Mr*** ***’s concerns regarding receiving an unauthorized order of medication. Upon review of Mr***’s concerns we were able to confirm that the prescription received was not filled in errorOn October 5, our mail order pharmacy received Mr***’s prescription for the medication Simvastatin via electronic request from the prescriber’s office The prescription request was processed and shipped out the same dayThis prescription request and order was not initatied by CVS/caremark. Once a prescription is received by our mail order pharmacy, if there are no errors with the way the prescription is written or questions regarding the prescription, it will be filled as normalOur filling pharmacy does not accept and does not return to stock unused portions of prescriptions that are returned by our members because we would no longer have any assurance of the strength, quality, purity or identity of the medicationFor this particular situation, CVS/caremark’s return policy does not allow for the return of medication for credit. If the recipient refuses the shipment or returns the medication outside of acceptable reasons for a return under our policy, the recipient is still responsible for the full copaymentWe regret that Mr*** will still be responsible for this order.Should you or Mr*** have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at ***. I am very frustrated with CVS CaremarkI received three letters from them, all dated August 11, They were addressed to me and my two daughtersThey said that we were undercharged for some of our prescription medications between January 1, and March 8, 2016, and that, in order to avoid tax penalties, I had to send three checks totaling $1,to CVS CaremarkMy issue is that I never would have purchased those medications if they had told me then that those were the pricesIn fact, one of the prescriptions we didn’t even fill through the pharmacy that Caremark says we didOn August 16, 2016, when I called the number on the letter, ###-###-####, for my “dedicated representative”, and explained the letters that I had received, the rep didn’t know anything about what I was talking about and t

I have a chronic disease that requires me to be on *** From November of until June of my dosage had been consistent of mg a day, which CVS charged me a copay of $ In June my dosage was changed to mg a day, which CVS is charging me a copay of $ When I called to have it corrected, believing it was an error they told me that because my new dosage requires a mg and a mg pill for, they are charging me for two separate prescriptions The end result is I'm getting less medicine for twice the amount of money I spoke to three different "supervisors" who all told me that is their practice and refused to do anything even though it doesn't make any sense I don't understand how it's legal to do this? When I asked if I had my doctor specifically request all mg pills how much they would charge me and they said it would go back to $ Why should the patient be impacted by their practices? I would go somewhere else but they force me to us

I am enrolled in my employee prescription health plan through my employer ** *** *** since I pay foy this service directly from my paycheck I am forced by my insurance to use CVS caremark for long term medicine through CVS Caremark Pharmacy in order to get a day supply However, every time my doctor calls in a prescription the order is put on hold for billing issues This happened at least times It goes to billing and put on hold and then I am told I am in "collections" When I attempt to call CVS caremark I am put on hold a minimum of 30-minutes to be transferred to a billing specialist Depending on whom I speak to I get a different answer and am told we have no record of your insurance and I have balance I give them my account info and then they tell me it will take at least weeks to process before they update their billing records
My medicine is critical to maintain my health I cannot miss a single dose I order through this pharmacy t

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
Thank for reviewing my issue. However, I don't understand the response.  I have a legitimate prescription that has 3 refills left.  My doctor has already repeatedly responded to 'prior authorization' and each have been rejected.  It is within the company's capabilities  (CVS) to fill those prescriptions and mail them to me without an "appeal" or another conversation with my doctor.  This answer seems nothing more than what I have received in the past, another attempt to delay the process until a) I give up or b) my prescription expires, and again I have to go back to my doctor and spend several hundred dollars to get a prescription only to have to go through  this futile  process again. I would like my medication shipped immediately and without delay before the end of the year, and before my current and lawful prescription request is expired. Thank you,[redacted]

The most recent response from CVS received January 27th is a word for word copy of the previously-rejected CVS response dated January 20th.  I reject this response with for the same reasons detailed in my previous rejection dated July 26th.Regards,

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. . I still haven't received the [redacted] prescription, and I was charged twice, $12.51, for a prior prescription. But first and foremost, they were not authorized to take the payment off my card at that time. I have filed a complaint with Consumer Protection in regards to that.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].                                         ... response to Mr. [redacted] regarding ComplaintID: [redacted] / [redacted] “Additionally,Mrs. [redacted] asked to speak with a pharmacist to inquire what to do if a dosewas missed.  She was transferred to a pharmacist who counseled her on theimportance of compliance.  Mrs. [redacted] also asked additional questionsabout the medication’s stability, side effects and efficacy. Mrs. [redacted] didnot express concern or advise that she wanted to hold or cancel the order.” The above statement is not true and as I originallystated, my sole purpose in calling CVS customer service was to cancel theprescription of [redacted] that had been prescribed for me. I did NOT request to speakto a pharmacist and the ONLY reason I had any conversation with a CVSpharmacist was because the first person I spoke with at CVS, refused to cancelmy prescription without having me speak to a pharmacist first. Before callingCVS, I had consulted with two additional physicians and was well aware andinformed of the side effects as well as risks involved in taking [redacted] so Ihad absolutely no desire or need to consult with the pharmacist. The woman Ispoke with insisted I speak to a CVS pharmacist and would not cancel the orderbut redirected my call. I then repeated the same exact instructions to thepharmacist, which were to cancel the [redacted]. She proceeded to ask if I hadosteopenia or osteoporosis and how I would treat my condition if I would not beusing [redacted], neither of which are her concern nor her right to ask. Sheinsisted on explaining the benefits of [redacted] to which I responded that the risksfar out-weighed the benefit, I had consulted with other physicians and I didnot want to follow the protocol. Then she asked if I would please take sometime to think it over before cancelling as in her opinion it was a very importantdrug. TOTALLY exasperated, I explained that we would be out of the country andasked about temperature control for this type of medication. She then insistedthat the prescription could be put on hold and delivered when we returned and Icould conveniently cancel later, if I still wanted to, when my originalintention was never to take the drug [redacted] in the first place. One month afterthis ordeal, I did not receive notice that the medication was to going to shipbut only notice that it had arrived at the neighborhood pharmacy.  So I was left with no other option but torefuse the medication that I had tried to cancel before we left for our trip. Had the CVS customer service representative respected myrequest to cancel the [redacted] from the beginning without obliging me to speak toa pharmacist this entire situation would have been avoided.  Is it CVS pharmacy policy to refuse to cancela patient’s prescriptions unless they agree to discuss the issue with the CVSpharmacist?  Does CVS pharmacy requireall patients to take more time to “think it over” and cancel later? Thepharmacist is not my physician and if there is a difference of opinion it isbetween the patient and the physician only and the pharmacist need only adviseas to the properties of the medication not according to her personal beliefs!   Regards,
