I used Carolina Improvements to install a composite deck. Although a wooden deck would have been less costly, my husband and I chose composite because the salesman, Josh, informed us that this material is better due to the fact that there is less maintenance and the look of it, without leaving any screw holes, is much neater. However, once the project was nearly completed, we questioned the installer about the screw holes and he said that it was because of the screws he had been supplied and that he actually questioned the company twice about it, and their response was " this is what you have to work with". When the company was phoned twice regardthe screw holes, they became very defensive and even refused to visit then property to see the issue. Further, they insisted that there was nothing they could do and actually expected me to give THEM a solution! After waiting more than a month for this issue to be resolved, including lodging a complaint with the RevDex.com, we still have not heard from the company. Further, there were incorrect angles delivered to be put in the railing and until now, even that has not been resolved. This has been a nightmare and I would warn anyone intending to use this company to BEWARE!

We purchased a home that needed some windows replaced. We contacted Carolina Improvements and Josh came out and quoted the windows and I added a side of gutters that I wanted replaced. A few hiccups later and all the windows and gutters have been installed and I am completely satisfied. My money was well spent and the company truly made me feel as if my business mattered, that is rare these days. There will always be hiccups, how a company handles them directly shows where their values are.

We are so happy we decided to use this company for our windows. From the minute they came to the house to show us the product to completion of the job we could not be more pleased. We were kept informed as to how the job was progressing and how long we could expect each step would take. We love the finished project and the windows are just what we wanted. Everyone we had contact with was professional, friendly and hard workers. Joel, the sales person, the girl who called to let up know the progress and Tommy and his brother who are definately experts at what they do! What a pleasure to do business with a company who treats their customers so well.

I was really please with just about every thing, with this company. The guys were great. They took time in explaining things to me, and they did an excellent job. I'd recommend them to everyone, now the only down side is this, they just ran a special offering gutters on the front of houses, I wish they would say, hey let's give her some free gutters, since she was such a good customer ??

If you want reliability, promptness and professionalism, this is the company to hire if you want any home repairs done. We needed to repair a hole in the sheathing in the roof as per house inspector direction and called about five roofing companies and contractors. None of them wanted to come out, citing that it was not a big job and that they only accepted large contracts to repair or install the whole roof. We called Carolina Improvements and they immediately responded and the job was completed the next day. The tech that came was the nicest guy you could imagine, very professional and very timely, getting to our house at the specified time. He explained what he was going to do, showed me the materials that he was going to use, told me the time it will take and took before and after pictures of the whole process. After he was finished, he showed me the removed item with the hole and explained the process to get the repair letter from the company. WE received the pictures and the completed receipt with all itemized items clearly explained. They offer a warranty on all their jobs and will respond promptly to any inquiries. And what was really impressive is that they tech came from Greensboro, NC, about two hours away from our house and arrived on time. Great company, very affordable and reliable. Will definitely recommend them anytime! Very satisfied with the results. Thank you for a job well done.

Carolina Improvements did my roof and vinyl siding, it was a great experience and ended up coming in under my budget. I appreciate the clean-up job as well, thanks a lot guys :-)

They came out and showed me the windows they had and I selected the double pane with the extra thick glass and the extra space between the panes. I originally wasnt going to buy them today because I dont like financing things but they offer 12 months same as cash financing (if you dont pay within the 12 months though you have to pay back all the back interest so make sure you get them paid off).
A week or so later they came out and measured my windows (unfortunately they are replacement windows so I couldnt get them to change the size of one of my windows but thats understandable since it would have been a much bigger job and cost way more that way).
A month later they came back and worked straight through (in the july heat mind you) from 9am till 2pm to replace all 15 windows in my house! They were fast, and professional and courteous. They didnt even take a 5 min break till all the windows were in and the flashing was about to be finished.
These guys were awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. In fact my neighbor across the street came over and talked to them as they were finishing up and said that she had some other people put in her windows a few years ago and they were sticking and some couldnt even be opened... So I think she'll be the next person with a Carolina Improvements sign in her yard.

We hired Carolina Improvements to replace the roof & the windows in our home. We opted to pay in cash and were required to get a dual-named certified check. This is the first thing that made me uneasy as the bank warned me that if the check was lost (we were required to give it to the person who measured for the windows before any work was done) it was the same as losing the money. I called the home office with my concerns and was treated like I was being silly--"we have never lost a check before." The roofer called me at work and said he would be there in 45 minutes (no other warning was given) but the home office called 30 minutes later to schedule a time for the following week and assured us that we would get a confirmation call prior to their arrival. The roofers never called in advance, but did show up on the scheduled day. When the roofers were installing the underlayment, it was not the same as what was shown to us during the sales agreement. When we tried to talk to 3 different people at the home office about this, they never gave us a straight answer. The roofers finished with flashlights late at night and before they were done we were asked to sign off on the job. When we refused, we were asked to inspect the roof with a flashlight because the subcontractor was from out of town and didn't want to drive back to get the approval paper. The next day there were pieces of shingles still on the roof, the trailer of scraps was still in our driveway and we had to clean scraps and nails out of our bushes and yard. We finally signed the approval for the roof after the trailer was removed and the roof cleaned off. Weeks later, it was time for the windows. The window installer communicated well but finished after dark, blaming traffic for the late start. They wanted the approval paper and check signed while they were packing up. They made it clear they did not want to return the next day, so with a flashlight I inspected all 10 windows and found the shutters to be noticeably uneven on 1 set of windows (the largest window -- which they completed in the dark). I did not sign the completion paper and check until all was seemingly fixed. We are still finding small pieces of siding and debris from the old windows scattered on the ground. I will be picking up small pieces of trash for quite some time. We were also told that we did NOT have to be here when the windows were installed, but how is that possible? They were in and out of every room all day. They had to caulk some areas and on each window place some interior trim, unfinished wood which we will have to paint around every installed window--another thing we were not told we would have to do or pay for. We were told 2 coats of paint would fill in the gaps left in the interior trim. We know better. The windows and roof are completed just satisfactorily, but the experience was not good. Clean up was not completed satisfactorily. Communication could be much better.

I purchased replacement windows, rain gutters, and vinyl siding for my house through this company, just wanted to let people know how good they are!
Everything was done quickly and without too much trouble to us or our two dogs. The workers were prompt and cleaned up everything after themselves. We were asked to inspect each step of the process. It didn't take them long at all to finish the job. We never had to call to let them know something was wrong, or the someone didn't come when scheduled.
When the job was completed, we were asked to walk around the entire house and inspect, we were even instructed to open and close all of the windows to make sure they all worked properly.
We noticed right away how much quieter it is in our house since we got the new windows.
We have been very satisfied.

We think Carolina Improvements is a great company. The personal working for them are very professional and did a super job and I would hire this company again. We are very pleased with the work.
