Central Financial Control Reviews (56)

Review: I had my son in the hospital about a year ago. I have insurance, but a portion was not paid. Once I received the bill, I began making payment direct to the hospital, but the account was still turned over to collections, Central Financial Control. I still made the payments, but when I contact them to do so, they made it extermly difficult. Twenty five dollars a amonth is about what I could do, ( please understand there are other bills from this time period that I was also trying to pay the same way through other people ) they basically told me I had to validate why I could not do more by asking very persoanl questions, and being very demading. Once I told them I am not giving out this information, they told me this will be reported on my credit report. I just tried the other day to make a payment by phone, the very rude person on the other end, [redacted] G. ( he would not give me his last name ) said if I don;t make arrangements, this will be reported on my credit. I at that point asked him if he was going to take my payment of 25.00, he said I can do whatever I want, " mail it". I am not trying to avoid this bill, but I do not feel like I should be treated this way. I have good credit and pay my bills.Desired Settlement: I want to contuine making payments until paid in full without credit reporting and without dealing with them. The bill is 724.53.

Review: I have a collection account showing on my credit report for experian that was supposed to be deleted over a year ago. They failed to validate the debt when asked and it is still reporting to Experian. I do appreciate their prompt from Transunion and Equifax, but this collection is still reporting to Experian.Desired Settlement: Please remove this from my Experian credit report

Review: Being a victim of identity fraud thanks to [redacted] Community Health Center I was given a year free to check my credit history and came across a medical bill from 06/2009 which we're in 11/2014 and I believe that the statue of limitations here in florida are 5 years. This collection is very OLD. I am a 64 retired woman on a fixed income.Desired Settlement: I would like this collection form 2009 corrected and taken off my credit history for which I am trying to repair my credit and this old charge is not helping. I'm 64 and retired on a fixed income.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10301825, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I will not be sending my license, social security, and all that ridiculous information you have asked for. the debt I am asking to remove from my credit history is because of statue of limitation in florida. The Identity Fraud I mentioned was just current so which you guys have nothing to do with and that why do not need my documentation. YOU KNOW BETTER!

Review: All I need is a copy of my itemized bill so the hospital can find the account number and erase it! I have requested it 3x over 3 months.

I have updated my address, called several times and requested an itemized copy of my bill and each time, the reps tell me they will send it and I still havent recieved my itemized bill. Its been 3 months, the account was sent to you in error because I didnt have my insurance card on me at the time of my hospital visit. I have already spoken to the hospital and they are more than willing to delete the account but first they need the itemized bill to get the account info. Please just send me the info at your earliest convenience so that I can get it taken care of and repair my credit score.Desired Settlement: I just want the itemized bill expedited to me please.

My current address is [redacted] N [redacted] Dr APT [redacted] Miami, FL [redacted].

Thank you!

Review: This charge should not exist.

I have full coverage Medicare and Medicaid so I have no qualifying health expenses. This charge should not exist and should not be on my credit report. I want this issue addressed immediately so as to clear my name. I want this off of my credit report and the negative remarks removed from my credit rating. Thank you for you understanding in this matter. You may send me anything via post to provide more information. I will provide anything I can.Desired Settlement: I want this removed from my credit report and the negative remarks removed that are hurting my credit score.

Review: On December 15, 2014, Central Financial Control received my request for valition of accounts they are attempting to collect [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. I have not received a response. While they are not required under federal law to respond, if they don't respond with proper validation then they are required to cease all collection activity. Proper validation consists of copies of some type of current credtor records, not records which only verify that the collector believes an account is valid(collectors commonly use affidavits, and other silly documents which are not from the creditor, nor are current). as of 1/20/2015, they are still reporting collection accounts on my credit reports. Under federal law, I could sue them and ask for $1000 in damages, since credit bureau reporting is considered a collection activity. However, I am confident that by channeling this dispute through the Revdex.com, amore simple resolution can be made. If they delete the accounts, cease reporting them to the credit bureaus, and provide written confirmation of the same, I will consider this matter resolved.Desired Settlement: If they delte the accounts, cease reporting them to the credit bureaus, I will consider this matter resolved.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

While I applaud their efforts to finally respond to my complaint. The information CFC provided comes too little too late. My initial request for validation was on December 15, 2014. According to Texas consumer protection laws they had 30 days to respond with a validation. Not only did they not respond in the specified time frame, but they never ceased collection activity regarding this debt. According to FDCPA a debt collector MUST cease collection activity until consumer receives verification. I have asked them to prove that I received documentation from them. Credit bureau reporting is considered collection activity. At this point they have continued to violate state and federal consumer protection laws. I am making my best effort to get this matter resolved without taking legal action. I am respectfully requesting that CFC request deletion of these account with the credit bureaus in light of this information.

Review: This company has made a fraudulent charge on my credit. The original creditor doesn't even exist.

This collection agency made a false debt on my credit report. I do not owe money to an anesthesia group. The anesthesia group doesn't exist. I've made attempts to contact the collection agency to report this error and I cannot reach anyone. A collect of $59 is listed as a bad debt. I want this removed from my credit report.Desired Settlement: I want this removed from my credit report or I will seek legal action.

Review: I have learned from my credit report that I have an account with this company that has gone into collections. First I would like to say that the hospital that sent the account into collections never called my insurance company to have them pay for it after calling them several times and giving them my insurance information. I have a big problem with this because they are just in a scheme to make money and did not even ask the hospital if they had gone through the process of getting the bill paid by insuranceDesired Settlement: I need you to send this account back to SLUH so they can charge the insurance that I pay for instead of having me pay out of pocket. They should have done this in the first place and the company is crazy to take on a person with insurance. I am not happy. In addition, let me know when my account goes into collections. If I have to find out from a credit report you obviously do not want your money.

Review: Contacted Central Financial Control agency twice and have been told that the company bought the account from another company. Wont remove from credit

I have called the company twice to get reports of when I opened this account. They stated they bought it from another company but are reporting it as if I opened this account on 5/2013. This would not have been possible because I would have seen a medical provider using the insurance Tricare which would not charge. I did not open any accounts from this agency and asked them to provide documentation. They have not. I'm asking that they remove this from my credit as soon as possible. Review: I have been trying to pay this debt and have it removed from my credit report. I called in on 7/8/15 and was told by the customer service rep that the call was being recorded, I asked her if they are able to remove negative credit reporting and she a told me that it was against the law, I called her out on that and she began to back peddle and then told me that they are told by the credit bureaus that they are not allowed to remove items. I began to do research today and on 9/24/14 under business resolution they said this "we are in the process of retracting/deleting our collection entry from your credit profile." I feel like I have been lied to by someone that just didnt want to help me and remove something from my report.Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to pay the $1089 and simply have it removed/deleted from my credit report. I feel like I was lied to and have proof that they do remove items from credit reports if they so desire. This is not against the law like I was told on the recorded call on 7/8/2015. Please call me any time to discuss 214-673-8627. I DO NOT DISPUTE IT, I simply want to pay it and have it removed.

Review: On July 21, 2014 Central Financial Control received my certified letter requesting validation of accounts they are attempting to collect ([redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted]). I have not received a response. While they are not required under federal law to respond, if they don't respond with proper validation then they are required to cease all collection activity. Proper validation consists of copies of some type of current creditor records, not records which only verify that the collector believes an account is valid (collectors commonly use affidavits, and other documents which are not from the creditor, nor are current). As of September 4, 2014, they are still reporting collections on my credit reports. Under federal law, I could sue them and ask for $1000 per violation in damages, since credit bureau reporting is considered collection activity. However, I am confident that by channeling this dispute through the Revdex.com, a more simple resolution can be made. If they delete the account, cease reporting it to the credit bureaus, and provide written confirmation of the same, I will consider this matter resolved.Desired Settlement: If they delete the accounts, cease reporting them to the credit bureaus, I will consider this matter resolved.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Im not sure that Central Financial Control understands the FDCPA law. You see... they failed to cease collection activity during the validation period. Meaning that when I requested validation of these accounts I never received a response to my request within 30 days.(As specified by Texas law). Also they continued collection activity though I did not receive a response. I think they need to understand that credit bureau reporting is considered collection activity. Federal law makes it clear that debt collectors MUST cease collection activity until debtor receives verification of the debt. At this point Central Financial Control has already violated federal and state consumer protection laws. Anything they are coming up with now is too little too late. At this point, I am entitled to statutory damages. And should I take this matter to court before a jury in my community, I am confident I will prevail. This is, however, my attempt to make every effort to get this matter resolved without taking legal action. I respectfully request that Central Financial Control review the collection law in this case starting with FDCPA Section 809(b), and delete these accounts from my credit reports.

Review: Acct is for my daughter, [redacted] (DOB [redacted]). I am the responsible party for account. She had a minor outpatient procedure done back in 11/2013. My out of pocket expenses totaled a little over $800. I was not working and made an agreement with CFC to make monthly payments of $80 to satisfy outstanding balance. This agreement was made 02/2015. Although, I was not working my husband made these payments. I contacted CFC in September of 2015, asking to lower the payments to $50 a month since I was not working and most of principle had been paid. CFC agreed to lower payments. I asked CFC if this affected the acct showing on my credit. They said that it would NOT. They said that as long as I paid the agreed upon amount of $50 a month, they would not put it on my account. They used deceptive methods to collect the balance on that account, which is against Fair Debt Collection Practices. They lied to me, in order to collect balance. The owed amount on account is now $57. My husband made a payment for $50 in Dec of 2015. They reported to credit bureaus two days ago. I would like for this to be removed from my credit because they were dishonest with me, violated the Fair Debt Collection Practice and Account's balance is now $0 (as I have paid if off).Desired Settlement: I am requesting that they remove this from my credit report since they were dishonest when collecting the amount owed on the account and violated the FDCP, with deceptive practices to collect debt.
