Central Security Group - Nationwide, Inc.

I had an alarm system installed by a now out of business security company named [redacted]. [redacted] used Central Security Group as its monitoring service. I was paying service fees for approximately two years and during that time I manually tested my alarm to ensure proper function. My alarm was activated multiple times with absolutely no response or phone call from Central Security Group. By multiple times I mean at least 30 times. After phone calls to their service department and talking to persons in managerial positions working for Central Security they explained to me that it was because "I" was not testing my system once a week. I didn't realize that I had to test their equipment and do their job to ensure My own security that I'm paying them to do. All told I would not recommend either company for any service, you'd be better off getting a Chihuahua to protect your house.

When presented with shady sales tactics from their dealer representatives, their only concern was can they hold me to the contract. And on that, 5 year contract with no option to pay a fee to exit early. Must buy out the full contract.

Like every other reviewer on here my complaint involves my attempts to cancel their service. I signed a contract in 2009 which stated a 3 yr contract and option to renew for 1 yr. The sales person kindly circled 1 yr,. Nice. What he should have circled is that the contract renews in perpetuity unless you cancel 30 days before your anniversary date. I stopped paying in Aug as my creidt card expired and I realized that I didn't use the service so chose not to renew. I called. They did not tell me I had to write. I called again in response to their postcards telling me to renew my credit card., THEN they told me to write. I wrote. They called me and told me that if I can find someone else to take over the contract then the fees would be waived. Why would I do that??? I just got a bill for $275 which is payment for the last 6 months for which I did not use their monitor and the next 6 months for which I will not use the service. If the company contacts me about this, I will post here. Otherwise, don't believe their responses of "amicable resolution".

This is a follow up to a negative review. I was contacted by [redacted], Social Media Specialist. We agreed to work on resolution. July billing will be refunded, a cancellation letter will be sent to me and I agreed to post status on Revdex.com site. I will rate this experience neutral as resolution is in process.

We had central security for two months before moving to our new location, when I told a representative we were moving they said they would have someone come switch our service over. Waited a week and nothing. This went on for 8 months on and off the phone with people who said they would send out a installer. We stopped paying on the service after a couple month of this. Even then I still couldn't get a installer here, after I told them I would pay my bill when you install my service. They sent the account to a bill collector and have now been dealing with that. STAY AWAY FROM CENTRAL SECURITY GROUP!!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER.
