CERTIFIED WINDOWS MADE CONTRCAT TO CHANGE THE WINDOWS OF OUR HOUSE ON JUNE 13-2018 ,TOOK ADVANCE 5000 CAD, NO WORK DONE YET , COMPANY NOT CONTACTABLE.
ON JUNE 13-2018 , CERTIFIED WINDOWS made a contract to replace windows for our house at ***, windsor ON. by their manager ms *** for a total cost of 17000 A cheque of 5000 CAD was taken in advance, we were assured that the job will be done by Dec18-feb18, now the company is not contactable, not responding to several phone calls

THEY SHOULD REFUND THE 5000 CAD ADVANCE TAKEN BY THE COMPANY WITH INTEREST AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

- This company was supposed to file paperwork for a $5,000 window rebate but failed to do so.

-financing had been arranged at time of deposit, through FinanceIt who, when they became aware that Certified was out of business,contacted us by telephone and informed us that they would not remain in a financial agreement with Certified -- we were released from any financial obligation to FinanceIt
-at this point, out $500 deposit and no doors

I have tried everything to contact them and zero. Left all customers with their garbage workmanship, I cannot say anything good ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased a patio door in May 2018 and company has failed to deliver or even communicate a delivery date.
Purchased a patio door (Stainless handle, Size 6ft, Code 500, left side casement hinge, white in colour with integrated horizontal blinds in the window)in May 1st of 2018. Placed a $1500 Deposit (50%) to secure a production order. Paid by cheque. Sales rep was ***. Said delivery would be mid August (conservatively). We called to find out the status in late July. They could not give a definitive delivery but that things were in production queue. In mid August they had to measure the window and broke out trim in doing so. The remeasure was to reconfirm a standard fit. I called again in September, and was told that a *** would call who came back from retirement to help. *** did call me but could again not tell me a definitive delivery date.
I asked for a refund of my deposit. He said he'd check and call back in a few days. No call received and since the phone number goes to voice mail but no voicemail could be left. I even went to the office which are supposed to be open and they were not. Tried calling repeatedly at various times but not able to leave message and no one ever picks up during the day. This is the reason for my contacting of you. Just want my money back. I don't care about the door anymore.

I have a contract with Certified Windows due to several reasons I want a full refund of my $6000 deposit.
I made a contract with Certified Windows on June 28th,2018 with a salesman named ***. This was after the green on program.On our contract it says $3000 x 2 e-transfer my bank *** would not allow that so I went and got a cheque for $6000.I brought it into their office at the Tecumseh location. I asked for a receipt. They didn't give me one. They told me that I had the bank receipt for the cheque. In our contract it states that we have 10 days to cancel. We did not cancel during this time but I recently found out that the cheque was cashed the next day on June 29th,2018 at the *** bank branch # *** located on Lauzon in Windsor. On my contract it says rush. We really needed our Bow window replaced in the summer and now it needs to get done.We were told we'd be 1st in line after the green on program was done and to expect a November install. We were willing to wait this long. I had called in October to make sure our contract was in order and ready for a November install and was told everything was in order and they would call me for an install date in November. Then I got a phone call from a man named *** on October 30th,2018, asking about my deposit and for me to call back on Monday November 5th, 2018. I've gotten nothing but the run around since then. I've emailed *** he wouldn't answer me if my windows were in fact made and ready for install. So I had to find out myself from *** the manufacturer for Certified Windows. They told me that no where in there database have they been able to find my name or PO# ***. Therefore my deposit was cashed into his business account and my windows were never ordered. I ordered a total of 5 windows a Bay window with 2 casements to replace our Bow window, 2 double hung windows and 2 other windows with 2 casements each. Due to all of these things I want a full refund so that I can get my window replaced.

Due to the fact that my deposit of $6000 was cashed and my windows not even ordered since June 29th,2018. When the cheque was cashed my order should have been giving to *** the same day. It is now December 2nd, 2018. I want a full refund of my deposit of $6000. Neither *** or his company has done anything to honour our contract. I want this contract cancelled.

On April 19 2018 gave them down payment of $1,650.00 and the rest to be given on completion. I called on May & June to see if everything was going to be on jtime and they said yes. I called again in July to see if my windows where going to be installed in July and they said no, because of volume of sales and I said that has nothing to do with me. Then August came and still haven't heard anything and my $2500.00 rebate was going to expire soon, I was concerned so I called again in Aug and called again in Sept. And talked to Owner *** and everything and at the end of conversation he said give me 2 to 3 week which brought us to Oct 15 2018 and he will have my window in by that date. I tried several times to call him and would answer my calls, phone doesn't take incoming calls then I spoke to *** and he said I will call you tomorrow and now he doesn't answer his calls. Then I found *** and I left message on it and he did answer me after a while and said he is getting 2 surgery done this weekend, I will call you on Monday and will be back in business, well he never called me on Monday went to the his office again on Wednesday and he is still not there. There should be strict laws for this kind of behavior

On April 17 2018 a contract was signed by my husband *** for installation of 4 new windows, 1 new window in a new opening and 1 storm door and screen door. The total of 5 windows and 2 doors is $9,137.89. Purchase order #*** or #***. A verbal agreement was that windows would be installed in September 2018. A deposit of $1,000.00 was paid by cheque and the balance would be paid upon installment. The initial balance would be paid upon installment. The initial date given was Sept 24, 2018. They called to cancel and rebook at a later date. From this point on many excuses were given and a promise to fulfill their agreement before the end of Oct. (Green on rebate program ends). Oct 28th 2018 they closed their doors and could no longer be reached.

A refund of our deposit $1000.00 and the contract cancelled.

Certified windows after many phone calls & finally driving down to their office several times did write me a cheque for 300.00 which the bank did not accept & sent it back to certified.
I am enclosing the information I have from when I applied for the windows, my printer ran out of ink so I penned in what I did't print I hope this is all you need & good luck!!

Salesperson came to my home july 25th for an estimate to replace broken bedroom window.
Paid $700 deposit for window by cheque.
Cheque was cashed.
was told will probably not receive window till beginning of October.
Saw a news report on Windsor News on tv that Certified Windsors had promised many Windsor residents and took their money and were not delivering.
Tried to contact them. Store was closed, phone number not being answered or allowing messages. Tried emailing, no reply.
It's November and snowing and I still don't have a bedroom window.

We were quoted 8-10 weeks delivery on windows and that was on June 7, 2018. No one has responded to my request for information on order.
We ordered 5 windows on June 7, 2018 to be completed and have refund under green Ontario fund. I have constantly contacted them to ask what is happening with the order and for the last 2 months we have not had any response from the company. I have heard that the office in Windsor is no longer open and we would like our deposit returned to us and order cancelled. Deposit was in the amount of $2530.00.

Company promoted to be registered with green on fund and we have no record of any paper being submitted. Horrible customer service.
Started in November 2017 they came to our door and my husband signed up for 6 windows and a door. We fined and the payments started coming out in March. The windows and door company had not even contact us for an install date. After months of time wasted we finally had installation aug 20,2018. Come to defund our this company was never registered with the green on fund nor did they have WSIB.*** All we are asking is to have our rebate and this man pay for his actions.

We want our rebate or complete refund from this company. The work that was done is not quality. They said the windows and door have a lifetime warranty. I cannot believe this either. They need to replace 2 busted windows from install and the door was defected they said they would order and replace as well. The company is avoiding customers at all costs and you can't even contact them

I paid $4,500 deposit for windows in April/May under the GreenON Program.Deadline was Oct 31/18. Have not received windows.Want deposit back.
Paid $1,200 deposit April 24/18 for 3 windows to sales person ***. Cheque was cashed April 26/18. Advised *** by telephone shortly after that date that we wanted to add 6 more windows to our contract. Paid $3,300 deposit May 25/18 for 6 more windows when representative came to measure windows for order. Cheque cashed May 29/18. Total deposit $4,500. Total windows ordered 9. Purchase Order ***. Contract under the GreenON Program which means window installation must be by October 31/18 to receive rebate from Ont government. No contact from company with installation details at any time. I made many call attempts in October to obtain installation details. I left many messages for company to call me. Messages left both on voice mail and with company receptionist. Spoke one time with installation manager *** who did not have installation details. Once deadline passed, I no longer wanted the windows because I cannot afford the full price without the government rebate. I made call attempt to initiate refund of deposit. Left message with receptionist for owner to contact me. No contact from owner for refund. No response from company at all. ***. Letter mailed by Registered Mail November 6/18. Letter has not yet been received by company according to Canada Post Tracking. I *** I have contacted Consumer Protection who instructed me to send a letter of demand.

The company has closed and prior to the closing they were to submit rebate totalling 4000$. When ontario green on rebate called, it's not registered.
The windows that I purchased with the promise of rebates through the green on rebates program were done as scheduled. That was back in early August. I paid the second half of the bill owing on Aug 7th- $3465 by electronic transfer. After payment they were supposed to send in rebate information to greenon program for $4000 as I had 8 windows that qualified. I was also supposed to get a receipt from them. I never received a receipt from them. I called the rebate program which ends on November 30th 2018 and I can't submit my own paperwork as the company closed and never sent in my rebate information and receipt. I am out 4000$ which I was counting on to help pay for the windows. I've left messages on company phone for one day but after trying to call them again their voice mail was full and now says " error" .

Company did not follow through on warranty replacement of patio door.
Our patio doors were purchased by the previous owners of our home. In May of 2018 a stone went through the patio door and caused one of the panes to break. I contacted the company and they assured me it was covered. I gave them the measurements and they said they would be back to me in a couple of weeks when the product came in to arrange install. End of June I contact the company and they had no record of the order. The person I was dealing with was no longer with the company. However, they would order another door. Long story short, I was booked in for 2 dates in September, 1 in October and 1 in November that never happened. Apparently the door is in but it seemed every time they needed to cancel was because an employee had quit. I wish I hadn't been so nice in the process and pushed for the door earlier on. I have left multiple messages with no response.

Signed a contract on 8 Jun 18, were told windows would be installed before 31 Oct 18. Windows were not installed and Certified will not communicate.
The contract was signed on 8 Jun 18 for 20x windows of various sizes, 1x patio door and 1x front door with side-light.

The order number was PO# 273479, with the salesman being ***.

The total contract price was $27,238.00 including HST with the understanding that the windows would be installed in time for the GreenOn rebate of $5000.00.

A deposit of $9000.00 was made on the 8th of June via cheque.

The "final measurements" were taken approximately 1 month later. A second deposit was meant to be taken that day, however the salesman *** said that he did not want to take an additional deposit. The remaining balance was to be paid after installation.

Around the 9th of October I spoke with Certified Window's receptionist ***, who assured me that the windows and doors were ordered and would be installed before the end of the GreenOn program on 31 Oct. The owner *** was supposed to call back that week to schedule an installation appointment. This was the last I heard from this company despite repeated attempts to contact them by telephone, email, certified letter and in-person at their office.

Desired Outcome

Certified Windows and Doors has broken their contract as they did not deliver the product and installation services agreed upon. In order for this wrong to be corrected a full refund of the $9000.00 deposit must be given. As well as an additional $5000.00 as I have missed out on the GreenOn program due to the inaction of Certified Windows and Doors.

In May 28 I signed and agreed to a contract to have 5 windows installed and a deposit of half was given at the time with the understanding that I could change my mind at anytime and that if the work was not completed that my deposit would be refunded. I waited til September before I was even contacted to have the official measurement completed. That was done and I was told it would take 6 weeks for them to come and install. Then when that was up and it was 9 weeks I contacted them they claimed they could not find my contract would get back to me and they called and never gave details just that they were returning my call. I called back the next day and was given the same run around and saying they were waiting for the green energy act to be extended. I waited again and when continuing to call got no answer went to the office and a sign on the door said until the act was extended they would not be opening the show room. I contacted someone via text message they said as soon as they heard from *** she would get back to me and that they would honour the contract no matter what if it was to install or to give deposit back. To no avail do I get any response when I call and leave a message.

At this point i would like my deposit refunded.It is $1500.00 I would like cash or a cashiers certified check. I will even pick it up at their office or it can be sent to me over night.
