Gave an $1800.00 deposit Sept 26 2018. Three windows Sept 26 2018 I either want a refund of the full amount or Delivery of the three windows promised.immediately or with thin a agreed date of delivery.

Supply and installation of window replacements.
On May 2, 2018 an agreement was signed by *** of Certified Windows and Doors to supply and replace 3 (three) windows with the Ontario rebate program. *** TOTAL COST: $ 3,600.00. DOWN PAYMENT: $ 1,800.00 PAID BY:Personal cheque # *** dated *** 2, 2018. Installation was scheduled forJune 12, 2018.

Please note: The followup was by Frank *** of same address as *** requested due to her circumstances.

One day prior to June 12 installation date contacted Certified W & D office to confirm installation next day. I was informed that the installation is cancelled as the manufacturer is behind schedule to deliver the windows. Rescheduled date to August 7, 2018. August 7, 2018 no one showed up. Called Office of Certified W & D and I was informed that some of the installers quit and due to shortage of installers have to reschedule to September 20, 2018. September 20, no one showed up. At this time I called the office could not get trough. Went to the office and I was informed by a scheduler gentlemen of the same instead shortage. Rescheduled to October 3, 2018. October 3, no one showed up. Called office, answering system full, can't live message. Went to office, spoke with *** Who showed me the scheduling board and explained that someone changed the schedule and forgot to let us know. Rescheduled to October 29, 2018. No one showed up. I went to the office (did not call) to request refund of down payment. Offices in dark, doors locked, notice on window to inform customers about closing.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $ 1,800.00 downpayment.

We ordered replacement windows and put a deposit of $2000. We have not received the windows and are unable to get deposit back
On May 1, 2018 we order 7 replacement windows for $10474.93 to take advantage of the Green On program and placed a deposit of $2000. We were told by the sales representative that installation would be around September. The deposit check was cashed May 3, 2018. We e-mailed the sales rep. at the end of July inquiring, because of the cancellation of the Green On program, if the windows were still on schedule for a September installation. We were told everything was still good. My wife called Certified in mid September, because we had heard nothing from them, and were told "they were having trouble getting people to pay their bill after installation". We were asked to place the remainder of our bill in a trust account with a lawyer, the money would clear 48 hours after completion of the work. If we did that they would install the windows Oct. 3 and 4. We refused. I called the manager, ***, back the next day and was told the same story. We refused again to put the money in a trust but were told they could install on Oct. 16 and 17. When no one showed up on Oct. 16 my wife called the office and the receptionist told her we were not on the scheduling board for installation and that the manager would call us back. When I got home from work I made a number of calls to the office, this is when I started documenting and recording the calls. *** finally returned the call on Oct. 17 and scheduled Oct. 26 and 27 for an installation date. I called Oct. 25 for confirmation, but again was told we were not scheduled and that the owner *** would call me back, which he did later that night and agreed that they would be out Oct. 27 and 30. I expressed my displeasure and asked for the deposit to be returned if they were not interested in doing the job. *** gave the same story *** did about people not paying. Again I stated "it's not my problem what other people do". He agreed, apologized and said he would be here Saturday morning. Once again no call, no show. Now we understand, because of the media and not be able to get a hold of anyone at Certified that they have closed shop.

***.

Desired Outcome

The only thing we would like from Certified Windows and Doors is a total refund of our $2000 deposit.

I purchased and paid for windows and doors which were never delivered and installed. I contacted the company multiple times with no results.
I purchased 2 simple windows, two screen doors and a steel door on May 17 of this year. The purchase order number on this contract is ***. The 2 windows code SL1, the steel door code 2PP, the 2 screen doors were self-storing. At that time I was told that the installs were being done about 3 months out. That would have taken us to mid August which I found acceptable. So the salesman, ***, wrote up the contract and the total amounted to $4179. I wrote a cheque at that time for a deposit of $2000, the remainder was to be paid on completion. The cheque for $2000 was cashed by the company on May 23rd. The guys came out to do the measurements on June 20th.
I called on July 31st, as I hadn't yet heard anything about an install date. I was told at that time that we were looking at end of August, first week of September. I was not happy, but accepted that is was going to be slightly delayed. I was also told at that time that the 'green rebate' orders had to be installed by October in order for those customers to receive their rebates. This led me to believe that since my order did not include 'green rebate' items, I was not a priority. I was told that I would absolutely be called in a couple of weeks with a date as production had begun on my order. Which brings me to August 20th when, since I had still not been notified, I again called for an install date. At this time I was told that it wouldn't be until the end of September. This was totally unacceptable to me. I voiced my displeasure to the girl on the phone. I went into the office the following Saturday, but was told by the only girl there, that the appropriate person to speak to would be in on Monday and would call me then. I never received a call. I emailed the salesman, ***, on August 30th and received no response. I emailed the salesman again on October 17th and, again, received no response. When I tried calling, I was forwarded to the voicemail only to be told that the inbox was full. I sent an email to the general inbox on the company website and, of course, have not yet received a response.
In addition, this has resulted in a delay in the painters doing work on the exterior of my house and garage as I was waiting until the new framing for the door and windows was complete prior to painting. The painters will now have to wait until next spring, assuming thay they will still agree to do the job for me almost a year later.
I am extremely frustrated and completely disappointed with this situation in dealing with Certified Windows and Doors.

Desired Outcome

I simply want a total refund in the amount of $2000 which is the down payment I made at the time of the purchase/contract.

I gave them a $1200 deposit to replace windows under the energy rebate program. They did not do the job and I can not receive my deposit back.
On May 16, 2018 I signed a contract and made a deposit of $1200 for window replacement . The Customer PO # is XXXXXX
My sales person was *** (***@certifiedwindows.ca)
Phone XXX XXX XXXX
I was told they had lots of jobs and the wait might be as long as October. When the new provincial government cancelled the program, I called to find out the status of my order. They told me that there had been an extension until October 31 and that I would be Ok. If not they would refund my money. I called a few times before the deadline and each time they said they would get back to me they didn't. I spoke to *** who sent me some forms and explanations as to why they couldn't get the work done. He told me to call him again in the next 24 hours which I did as he promised he would be able to tell me if they could do the work. I called, texted, for the next few days and no answer. The forms he sent me which I can forward to scan for you said that the deposit money was in trust. I want a refund of my deposit. T ***. Money has been taken. No job has been done ***.

Desired Outcome

I would be happy to receive the $1200 deposit I put down. *** I also lost out on a $1000 rebate amount. In actuality they owe me $2200. But just getting my deposit back would be great!

Non-delivery of product and installation
In early May 2018 I arranged with Certified to have windows installed as part of the GreenOn rebate program. The total cost was to be $10,300 and I gave them $5,000 deposit upon signing the contract. I had used them before and had been very satisfied so had no cause for concern. They came and measured for the windows and then I heard nothing. I called in August to follow up after I got back from vacation and was told that the windows were manufactured and that I should be receiving a call to set up an installation date soon. When I heard nothing by September I tried calling - I left a message and no one called me back. When I did eventually talk to someone they again said that I would get a call soon. I tried following up repeatedly but no one answered the phone until I eventually spoke to someone two weeks ago. I spoke to *** who appeared to be helpful at first but I eventually realised could not do anything. *** did call me on Oct 23 and assured me that my windows would be installed by Oct. 31. I heard nothing from him after that and so I went to visit the office on Thursday, October 25 and spoke to *** in person. He told me that because many customers had not been able to pay the balance of their bill the window manufacturing company was not releasing the windows until they could get paid. *** said that to get around this they had set up a way for customers to pay the balance before installation to an independent paralegal. The funds would be held in trust until I was satisfied with the installation. *** told me that he would schedule my installation for Monday, October 29 if I was able to submit the balance of my cost to an independent paralegal *** who would hold the funds in trust until the work was done to my satisfaction. *** put my name up on their installation board to hold my place for the next Monday. I spoke to *** and he explained again what had been arranged. It seemed above board and so I agreed to get *** a bank draft for the balance. I delivered the funds to *** on Friday October 26. I called Certified and spoke to *** who confirmed that everything was a go and the installation would take place on Monday as previously arranged.
My husband took time off work on Monday and no one showed up. I tried calling repeatedly - both to Certified's number and to *** number. No answer. I visited Certified's office on October 30 to find it closed, with a notice on the door saying they had been forced to close because of the Ontario government's refusal to honour the GreenOn program past October 31. I have had no luck contacting anyone at the company since.

Desired Outcome

I want them to return my $5,000 deposit.

We paid a $6,000 deposit in May 2018 for 4 windows to be installed in our home, we have not received the windows and calls are not returned.
We purchased 4 windows from Certified Windows in May 2018, sales person name was ***, We were told that due to the special order we had the windows would be ordered and made by North Star Windows. I have a copy of the bill, we paid a $6,000 deposit by cheque to order our windows, we were told that the windows would be installed by the end of September. I started calling the company in early September to see where are order was, I spoke to a lady on the phone, she said due to the green on initiative they were behind in their orders, she told me to call back the following week which I did and got the same answer, I called back every week trying to get and answer, but the lady who answered the phone would just keep saying the same thing. I asked to speak to the manager or the owner, she took my number but I never received a call back until Wednesday October 01,2018 from ***, he told me that our order was placed and we should be getting our windows in a few weeks. I called back on Tuesday October 09, 2018, spoke to the same lady, she again said the same thing, I told her that I had spoke to *** the previous Wednesday and asked to speak to him, she said he was busy, she took my phone number again and said he would call me back, but I haven't received a call back. I started calling everyday trying to get an answer but I never did, I asked if I could cancel my order and get my money back, I was told that the owner would call me but I never received a call.

Desired Outcome

We just want our $6,000 deposit back, we will get our windows from another company

Out 2000 deposit for Windows. No refund and/or no refund
In June a *** came to our house to sell us Windows. We told her we were calling the other Window place to see what deal they can give us. I called her right back she was still in her car when we called. We told her what the other company was giving us she supposedly told us that we can give 2000 instead of 2500 but I felt pressured in making a decision then because she said this was a one time deal that this was only for today. She told us it probably wont get installed till Nov. Dec. because of the deadline they had for the previous customers to get the goverment deal. So that day in June we sent an e-transfer of a 1000 dollars then the next day we sent another 1000

Desired Outcome

I am hopping to get our deposit back that we worked so hard to save up for

Not replacing window (warranty)
On sept. 6th an employee of certified windows inspected my window that was broken. It is now Oct 31st and I still dont have a replacement window. I can not get ahold of anyone on the phone. When I last spoke to an employee she said the issue was with the manufacturer. I feel as though certified windows is not adhering to their warranty.

Desired Outcome

I wish for my window to be replaced.

Paid deposit for windows that have never been installed and can't get a refund
We placed an order on June 15th (***) and put down a $4000 deposit and on the order it indicated we would be getting a $4000 rebate through the Ontario GreenOn program. After a few months they called to set up a time to measure the windows. We set an appointment I took the day off work to be home and they didn't show up, nor did they call to let us know they wouldn't be coming. Rescheduled and again they didn't show. Finally the 3rd time someone showed up and we were told from that point it would take 5 to 10 weeks for install. That time had past and we hadn't heard anything from the company. We were calling them multiple times a day, sending emails with no response. Once in a while someone would answer but would give us the run around and not give us a clear answer. We have asked for a refund multiple times and have got no response on that. On October 28th we got an email that we needed to pay the full amount for the windows and then they would install them. As we were already having all these issues there was no way we were giving them more money. Then the next day, October 29th they locked their doors, have full voicemail and won't talk to anyone. As today was the last day for install in order to get the rebate we are forsure not getting that and will most likely lose the $4000 deposit ***
*** is the sales person who sold us the windows and took our deposit. He said we were all set for the *** on program and should expect and install in September (October latest). ***.
We have been in contact with a few random people throughout our various phone calls and emails. Most recently was with someone name *** he was the one who sent us the infomtion saying we need to pay in full before the windows are installed.
We were told to email the***, *** regarding getting a refund. We did that but got no response.
We are young, first time home buyers that need new windows and now can't afford them because we are our $4000.

Desired Outcome

As we have lost all faith in this company there is no way we want our windows installed through them, especially as we can no lok get get the rebate they promised us. *** We would like our deposit refunded in the amount of $4000.00 as we have never received the product that we paid for.

Out $3,000 deposit for windows and repair of existing
Deposited $3,000 for new windows in April, 2016. Never received them. The other windows they installed earlier are not working and they were supposed to fix them by replacing them. They kept promising they were going to come and install. We have been waiting 2 years.

Desired Outcome

Would like the 2 windows installed that I already paid $3,000 for and the repair of the existing ones that do not work. They were going to replace all of them as they could not match the colour.

Certified Windows has not delivered my windows nor have they returned any of my calls.
On May 14/18 I purchased windows from Certified Windows. *** was the salesman. I gave them a $5000 deposit. One week later they measured the windows. On Oct 5/18 I got a call from Certified (I forget his name)
saying they had a cancellation and wanted to come out and install my windows on Tues 9/18 and Wed 10/18(after Thanksgiving)T***. Part of this agreement was they needed the balance owing on the windows which would be put into a Trust account. He also asked the balance be split into 2 checks which I found strange but did it anyways. One check for $4000 and one check for $3490 and they would send someone that day to pick up the checks and they did within the hour. Tues comes around and they don`t show up. Wed they don`t show up so I call the office talk to*** and she said because of the rain they were set back a couple of days. No one shows up so I call on Fri. and*** gives me the cell number of a man named***. Called his phone left a message but no call back. The following week I make more phone calls and text but get no return calls. *** I am out a total of $12490.

Desired Outcome

I would like my windows installed (***) or a total refund of my money, $12490.

Our $3000 deposit has not be returned/refunded after our doors were not installed. We have written verification from *** that he would refund.
On March 8, 2018 we received a quote from Certified Windows for 3 new doors. The quote was for $6166. We gave the salesman, ***, a $3000 deposit (cheque 997) with delivery and installation date set for June of 2018. The delivery/installation was not met. I was informed that there were delays at the factory and that the doors would be delivered/installed in July. The delivery/installation was not met. I went to the Certified office in person and was given a FREE colour on the front door ($400 value) for their missed deliveries with a promise of delivery in September. This delivery was not met. We contacted *** on September 27, 2018. We informed him that we were not satisfied and that we would like to cancel the order. He agreed that our wait times were unreasonable and offered an refund on our $3000 deposit asking if a bank draft delivered in the middle of October 2018 was OK? We agreed. Today we went to the Certified office and found it closed. We had sent *** an email on October 25, 2018 asking when our bank draft would be available, but he has not responded.

Desired Outcome

A refund of our $3000 deposit for product not delivered/installed.

Windows not installed
Ordered windows 2/27/18. Installation repeatedly postponed despite phone calls. We have paid a deposit of 50%. Toll free number no longer works, local phone number does not answer, and mail box is full and not accepting messages.

Desired Outcome

Return deposit of $1600 or install windows.

Been trying unsuccessfully for months to resolve a warranty issue. Company now seems closed with sign on window, and contacts won't return calls.
Purchased a door/windows, were sold on the products and service based on the warranty claims, which were very emphasized in the sales pitch. Reported a defect issue with a very expensive window, a technician came out to verify, measured for a replacement and advised he'd likely be back in a month to replace the piece. Window was not sealed back up entirely by the tech, as the new piece was expected in a short time, and in spring weather. After a month went by with no contact, we started to call and ask for an update. Each call was ended with a promise that they would call us back. No call-backs happened, so we eventually persisted to the point where we were directed to communicate by text with *** and two other employees(?) ***. Eventually they stopped responding to phone calls, texts, etc. I stopped by the office in person to find a poorly hand-written sign on the window indicating that the office would be closed until due to some supplier issue of some sort. Not able to reach any of my three contacts by phone, text, and the office phone simply goes to voicemail. I believe that I will now need to replace this very expensive window at my own expense despite the promises that the window was being built at a supplier, and repeated follow-up promises.

Desired Outcome

I would like for my window to be replaced as per the written terms of the warranty that was sold to me, as well as the verbal promises to resolve the situation. If this is not possible, I would like to recoup the cost of the window, as I will need to replace it at my own expense.

Ordered window in June and paid $1,650 deposit. Promised installation was set for mid July. I have still no window and no one answers phone.
I have not been given any return phone calls, no delivery dates and no refund after repeated requests for a refund of my deposit.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund of my deposit of $1,650

Doors purchased (and paid for) in Sept 2017 have not been delivered or installed in Oct 2018
Ordered doors and windows 9/28/2017. After many complaints, Windows were installed in July 2018. Doors are still not installed as if 10/29/18. COmpany has stopped responding or answering their phone.

Desired Outcome

In order of priority: 1. Finish the job, install the doors. 2. Give me the doors (three) and I'll install 3. Refund.

I signed a contract April 23 2018, with a 50% deposit for new windows and installation with Certified Windows. I have not received anything.

After several attempts to get information in regards to my window purchase.,I was given an install date. I contacted the company a few days prior to the given date for install; after 3 days of run around ,I was told they don't have my windows. Now Oct.29, when I try to contact Certified Windows, their doors are locked and the phones are not answered.

Desired Outcome

Either install the windows or return my deposit

No response from business regarding windows that were ordered in May. No one will answer the phone and call me back. Where are my windows?

We ordered our windows May 31st and gave the company $8000.00 as 50% down payment. We were included in the green energy rebate program. When the conservative government was elected I called the company and they reassured us that there would be no problem. We are included in the program. It took them 6 weeks to come and accurately measure my windows. *** and his helper came first and then ***. Again they reassured me everything is in order. My windows should be here by the end of Sept. or early Oct. I removed all the furniture in each of the four rooms where the windows should be installed. I wanted to be ready for them. Needless to say my house is a bit disorganized waiting for these windows to be installed. I called numerous times regarding the status of my windows. I spoke with *** and *** mostly but also ***. *** informed me in early Oct. the windows should be in by the middle of Oct. *** called about the middle of Oct. and said to call him. This we did but he didn't answer. Left a message on his cell phone. Whenever I spoke with *** which was almost daily in Oct. she said we were on the top of the list for *** or *** to phone us. I finally reached *** on his cell phone on Oct. 25th at 5:05 pm. and he said *** would call that night. He never did. The next day I called *** on his cell and again got his answering service pleading him to call me and give the status of our windows. At this point I don't know if they are even made. If I do not reach *** directly, I can not leave a message because their answering machine is full, both their 800 number and their local number. I called again today, both *** and ***, but no one answers. I am very frustrated that they do not return my calls and I have no idea where my windows are and when they will be installed. I want answers and I am tired of being patience and polite.

Desired Outcome

I would like my windows installed.

$7,000 on deposit for windows, they will not respond to calls
On May29,2018 *** gave me a quote on new windows. She took a deposit of $7000.00 (50% of the order). She sold this based on the Greenon rebate program. An approx. date of precision measure was to be 2 -4 weeks. Install around October. After several calls the precision measure was done in August, then no further contact was made on their part. I called in early September and was told my windows where made but not shipped yet. Near the end of September & through October I called several times with no response, voice mail full, office doors locked.
Greenon program is now scraped & I'm out $7000.00 with no windows.

Desired Outcome

I would like the deposit of $700.00 returned in full. They have not fulfilled they commitment.
