I left a voicemail to go to the residence in question to look at the damaged table on show my pictures.  Waiting to hear back from [redacted]

I am not sure why I am being sent a complaint again.  I responded to the last complaint on 12/26/14.   There has been no change.  the window is on order and it should be in within 3-4 weeks.  At taht time we will be fixing the remainder of screens. Thanks

response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  We received a telphone call from [redacted], a new district manager wishing to resolve our problems.  He offered to have workers come out on Dec. 13th but unfortunately that was an inconvenient date due to family obligations.  He then offered Dec. 20th which we accepted.  I wish to keep this complaint open until the work has been completed to our satisfaction.

I am rejecting this response because:  I do not have a paid invoice.  If you read my complaint, I have an estimate to have the work done.  After the police came to inspect the damage, Champion's Ray T had his crew trespass on my property and pour potting soil and grass seeds all over where they damaged.  I now have thick grass growing out of lumpy areas.  So that damage all needs to be repaired with new sod.
The investigating police officer told me I could have filed trespassing charges, but I did not.  I can furnish a copy of the estimate.  It is a shame that a big company like Champion has to drag this out for months.

We had an appointment on Saturday, Dec. 20th with Mr.  [redacted].  My Field Technician showed up at residence attempting to install the new window.  The window was the wrong size (the proper one has been ordered and it will take 4-6 weeks for manufacture & delivery).  He also tried to work on screens that customer was not happy with.  We need different parts for a successful install and that will be done the same time as the window.  We attempted to resolve the matter and would still like to.Thank you,[redacted]

Saturday, July 23rd the installer was at the [redacted] property and determined that a sash needed to be replaced.  It was order and I have updated the [redacted] every week since then with the status of the order. The sash just arrived on this week's truck and after speaking with the [redacted] on Wednesday, August [redacted] and the first workable date for the sash replacement is Friday, Sept [redacted] from 1-3pm.  Our service tech will call Mrs. [redacted] when he is on his way and he will replace the sash.

agree to have Champion "grade, seed, or apply hay to my front lawn".  That is a fabrication.  Who would apply hay to their front lawn?  That is ridiculous.   On the phone, the project manager Ray T offered me a $25 gift card to do the repairs myself.  I declined as I wanted a landscaper to repair the two large areas that Champion's truck damaged.

Customer previously agreed to have us grade, seed and apply hay to the small area that had a tire mark on it. Which we did. We will follow up with the customer as we were unaware he had this additional repair done after.

Thank you for your follow upon my complaint. Unfortunately the issue has NOT been completely resolved.  I called earlier last week to confirm my appt. for Saturday and was left on hold for more than 20 minutes!  Saturday, Dec. 20th the installation technician did arrive at my house on time however the window that he brought was not the right size nor did he have the all the supplies that he needed to fix the screens.  We were told that the factory is closed now until January so the window & screen supplies will not be available until at least the end of January!  This is totally unacceptable to me and I plan to also open a complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs.   Thank you again.

With the purchase of our windows we provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Any service fees (trip charges) are waved of the first 2 years after purchase. The purchaser is covered for all claims for the first 2 years. Ms. [redacted]’s windows were installed in 2011. Champion returned to her home to help...

secure one window that was used improperly by the customer in 2012.  There is no mention of a draft by the customer until 2014. If Ms. [redacted] did have other contractors in her home, it would be beneficial to know if she has had another work done near or around these windows that may also cause air filtration, such as new siding, new exterior window wraps, interior trim or even the process of applying insulation into other wall cavities around the home.  Drafts can come from many locations and many times a person mistaken a draft for simple temperature changes in the home.  This might be the case in this matter.   Below are a list of service requests and dates. Champion has had different service techs out for service #2 and service #3 and both stated that they were unable to duplicate any draft.   Service #1 3/2012 - window out of shoe due to customer improper operation of window: Service ran with no service fee ( within the 2 years of install) Service #2 11/2014 – claimed windows are drafty. Champion went to the home but no evidence of drafty window. Could not duplicate and customer refused to pay service fee even after being notified of a trip charge. Service #3 2/2016 – claimed windows are still drafty. Champion went to home but no evidence of drafty window Could not duplicate and customer refused to pay service fee even after being notified of a trip charge. Service #4 4/2016 – customer called to state windows are still drafty. Advised her that we are willing to come assist her for the 3rd time to identify any adjustments needed find the problem but there will be a service fee due prior to inspection. She became extremely upset and quickly hung up on me.    After 2 years, the purchaser is responsible for a service trip charge (currently $99), which was not collected during service #2 and service #3. And this is the only cost that the customer would incur, if there is something we feel has failed with our product then Champion covers that cost.     Again, each time a service tech went to her home we could not duplicate a draft in her windows. Champion stands by their warranty and installations, we will be more than happy to try and address her concerns and help search for the source of the draft but Ms. [redacted] will be responsible to pay the trip fee at this time.

Response:

I apologize for any delay in the response. We were unaware ofthe complaint until December 9‘", 2013 at which time I did write a response via the Revdex.com website. Clearly I did not save or enter or something, regardless the response was not received by your office

In regards to Complaint #[redacted] from Ms [redacted]. A sales representative did indeed enter into a sales contract with Ms [redacted] for siding on her home. As is normal practice, our installation manager then evaluated the job. In accordance with the contract we advised Ms [redacted] that the scope of the job was beyond our ability due to electrical wiring and safety concerns that the sales person did not identify. Ms [redacted] was initially very upset. I contacted several Champion Approved Sub Contractors to see if any were able to complete

Altar several attempts, I then spoke with Ms [redacted] again and apologized for any inconvenience. No money was exchanged at any time regarding this transaction. No deposit on initial contract Was made. I explained to Ms [redacted] that we are not equipped or properly trained to complete the project on her home properly. I offered [redacted] a $100.00 Gift card in apology and she accepted. We drove to her residence and presented Ms [redacted] with the gift card and she accepted and signed cancellation of the initial contract.

If you have: any further questions please feel free to reach out to me at any time.
