Review: I did not get a refund or the gas I paid for

I went into this gas station on 01/01/14 at 07:58pm. I was helped by a woman named [redacted]e. Invoice # [redacted]

I went inside to purchase some brake fluid, snacks and pay for gas. I told the employee ([redacted]e) I wanted to buy $30 worth of supreme gas on pump #2. I paid with my debit card and went out to pump my gas. I was unable to pump any gas and was given a "waiting for pump authorization" message on the screen. I go back in and tell [redacted]e my problem. She tells me she put my $30 of gas on pump #12. The employee next to her told me someone was parked at pump #12 and was pumping (stealing) my gas. I looked at [redacted]e and she immediately started printing out receipts and pressing buttons on the register. She assured me that they were not pumping my gas. She then tells me to slide my card again and I refused and told her I did not want to be charged $30 again. She then told me since they did not pump my gas that I was not charged for the fuel part of my purchase. I pulled out my phone and logged into my online banking account associated with the debit card I used. I was fully charged for everything including the $30 gas. I showed her and she finally stops giving me excuses and tells me "Sorry. There's nothing I can do." I was not given a refund or the gas I paid for. I do not understand why she had to keep giving me excuses instead of telling me she made a mistake and the person parked at pump 12 was in fact taking my gas. I could have gone to the person at pump 12 and explained to them the situation or at least written down their license plate number. I was unable to do anything about it because by the time she admitted the problem, the person at pump 12 was gone. It makes me think that maybe [redacted]e and the person at pump 12 were working together to rob people for their gas. Does it not seem suspicious? Why would she stall for so long to just end up saying sorry? $30 worth of gas is quite a bit of gas and does not pump quickly. She had a bag full of excuses for me while the thief was stealing my gas. By the way, I did not let myself get angry, raise my voice or use any foul language to [redacted]e throughout this whole issue. I have worked in fast food in the past and know what its like to deal with rude customers so I always keep calm in situations like these.Desired Settlement: All I want is my $30 back. Whether it be a check or loaded on a gas card

Below is the email that I sent to [redacted]. I sent him an Chevron gift card for $30.00 so that he could receive his gas.

Review: I went into the store to exchange my propane tank due to it being "expired". I've been told that I can no longer have it filled due to it being marked earlier than 2002. The tank I brought in to exchange was marked '95. The employee, [redacted] charged me for a filled tank which was $24.99 plus tax. Upon putting it in my car I checked the date and it said '99. I went back into the store and told him the tank was expired also. He then went on to say that's what you get when you exchange. I told him that it defeats my whole purpose of getting a new tank. I told him I wanted a tank that's not expired so I can just refill it in the future. I don't exchange tanks usually because the exchanges cost double in price. He said we can fill it for you next time, don't worry. I told him that it's expired and nobody will fill it that way now. I went to the car to call my husband who said to take it back because he didn't want an expired tank (especially to pay that price for one). I went back into the store and told [redacted] I wanted to return it. He said, "I don't know how to do a return , I need to call my manager". He called his manager and said there are "no returns"! I told him it was less than 15 minutes and that I did not want an expired tank. I asked him how are they willing to sell filled expired tanks but won't fill them for anyone? He couldn't give me an answer and said the manager said no. I feel that not filling expired tanks that the customers own but filling them from the store and selling them otherwise is pretty shady business. I would liike them to return me my money and take this expired tank. (Purchase was made at 15:27 and was denied return at 15:36. I had gone into the store twice to try and resolve this issue)Desired Settlement: I would like a refund so I can purchase a tank that isn't expired in order to be able to fill at another time

We would like to apologize to [redacted] for any inconvenience she may have suffered as result of our customer attensant([redacted]) who did not take the propane tank and refund her money and did not communicate well with her. We will talk to him and give him warning. I will mail her a check for $30.00.I want to take this opportunity to explain the action taken at the time of her presence:* We can not fill up expired propane tank.* We do not fill up propane tank and sell it as propane tank exchange; we only fill up customer's propane tank.* We buy propane tank exchange from [redacted] and we sell them to the customer.Thank you for bringing this to our attention and giving us the opportunity to correct the problem.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This was not the employee [redacted]'s fault as he was following the managers order not to return the tank. Not asking for $30.00 just wanted to return the expired tank.

Review: On the evening of May 20, 2015, I filled up my gas tank at this Chevron station. The pump malfunctioned, and the auto-shutoff did not work. I was cleaning my windshield and noticed that the pump had been running a long time. The pump was running, and spraying from the gas tank of my vehicle. Not only was I charged for gasoline that was on the pavement, not in my car, but my pants (and myself) were doused with gasoline when trying to get the nozzle out of my car. I contacted Chevron via email (their corporate email) on May 20th, and was told that I would receive a response within 10 business days regarding my issue. That time has now passed, and I have now been told that "As of today, we have not received a response from the station. The role of the Consumer Connection Center is to resolve customer problems when we are able at our company owned stations, to act as a mediator between the customer and a Chevron retailer or marketer, and to facilitate a reimbursement when warranted. Many times a dispute can be resolved to the satisfaction of both the customer and the retailer. Unfortunately, there are times when it is not possible to reach a resolution, because we reached an impasse on this matter. We recommend that you contact the retailer directly or pursue through alternate channels."I have opted to contact the Revdex.com as my 'alternate channel', in hopes of resolving this matter. I have a pair of pants that had to be thrown out, as the amount of gasoline on them was not safe to put through my washing machine, in addition to gas paid for and not received.Desired Settlement: I would like compensation for my ruined dress slacks as well as compensation for the gasoline that spilled in the parking lot.

Review: My name is [redacted]. I would like to make a complaint on the Chevron gas station food mart. On December 19th of 2014 @1:10 pm. The address on top of the food mart store is 309123 March Lane Stockton, CA. 95212. The Cross street is March Lane and Bianchi. I was getting a refill on my propane tank. I went into the store and they said I have to pay first. Full tank fill up cost $15.45. There was two clerk working. The middle age man around 30 something and a older man around 50 something. The younger man went and filled my tank. But he looked like he didn't know what he was doing. On the meter, it showed the number of 52 gallon. All the guy did was taking the nozzle in and out and letting the air out. I also saw him letting out a white smoke of propane. He think he is letting out more air from my propane tank he said. So he let the white smoke out several more times. Then I saw the meter started to move a little a time when the released the white smoke he so called ''letting out air from your tank''. So then I saw the meter went up from 52 to 53. Then he stopped and said ''ok it's full''. So I said you didn't put anything in my tank. Then he just walk away and said its full. So, I followed him to talk to the older gentlemen. I told the older gentlemen that the guy didn't know how to fill my propane tank. I said that the guy didn't fill nothing, he let the propane out rather then putting it in. So the older gentlemen said that's the rule, minimum fill is 5 gallon. So I said I understand, but he didn't put anything in my tank. I said I just want some or half of the money back at least. So they started to ignore me. I said look just give me some of the money back, you can't just take people money for not giving me anything for my money. So the older gentlemen said well his worker went outside and got wet and did the work. So I got loud and I started to curse and said some bad words. There wasn't any customers in there so the older guy came towards my face and started yelling and screaming in front of my face. The younger guy was behind the counter and came behind me and started ganging up on me. So then I started to yell back at him. The young guy chased me out and I sais I'm not leaving until I get my money back. The older guy said that I am not welcome back to the gas station. I refuse to leave until I get my money. S the younger guy said ok you don't want to leave? Then the younger guy looked like he went into the office and grab something out and put it under the cash register counter. The older man said no, no and did his hand gesture to stop. So then I said ok you want to get a gun or a weapon to scare me? go ahead I'm still not leaving. I said so you want to shoot me go ahead. It really looked like he got something and looked like he really want to use it on me. He walk back and forth like he couldn't hold his temper, it's like he's tempted to want to use whatever he had behind the counter. so the older guy said that I could come back to talk to the boss. I said how would he/she knew what really happened. I was afraid so I left out towards the [redacted] exit. There was a family and many other [redacted] cashiers that heard everything. I talk to the family about what happened, The older son of the family said that he looked out the window and saw that the unusual white smoke was coming out from the hose several times. I told them that the guy didn't know to work the machine and charged me for nothing. He didn't fill anything in my tank and I just wanted my money back. The family were surprised that I didn't get some of my money back. I said to them that the younger guy also tried to bring out a weapon to scare me. The Family then told me to inform the Revdex.com. So here I am telling you my story of a crazy incident. I didn't touch none of them, threaten anyone of them or hostile in any way. I told them to call the police. Instead they told me call the police. This is not a very professional for anyDesired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Response:

I am sorry for the untimely response. The manager for this site has been out of the country for quite some time. I am the assistant manager and after gathering all the details I believe there has been a misunderstanding. The propane tank was filled correctly but it needed only one more gallon to fill up. I can understand the customers frustration then. This site makes it clear though that we charge a flat rate for filling up one tank. We do have signage making this clear. We would love it if [redacted] came back and we could explain how the system works. This will show that we did fill up his tank and help ease his anger.

I am writing this review for the purpose of being treated with such disrespect. I walked into Chevron and asked to speak with the manager. A cashier by the name of Bobby refused to call the manager so I can speak with him/her in person. He had told me to return the next day for my card. I said no I needed my card. If it were my car keys I would need my keys. He was very rude and laughed and joke about my situation.

Review: I charged $12.00 of gas on my credit card.

An additional charge of $126.00 was also charged

to my credit card.

On 8/30/2013 I charged $12.00 of gas on my credit card

via the pump at 13:23 PST. At 13:22 PST

according to my credit card company a charge

of $126.00 was also charged to my card.

I called the store manager, [redacted], at 209-472-1639

on 8/31 at 07:00 PST. He asked me no specific information and told me to wait 48-72 hours and see if the charge came off my credit card.

On 9/1 at 13:06 PSD I was in Tumwater,Washington at Sierra Chevron and charged $48.46 of gas on my same credit card. A second charge of $126.00 was charged to my card at 13:04 PST.

I notified my credit card company of both fraudulent charges.Desired Settlement: They need to credit my VISA $252.00 and make changes to their system to prevent this from happening to other people.

Initial Business Response

Customer needs to bring there bank statement to the store to search where was the mistake happen. Maybe there is a hold on credit card. Some credit card company's put hold on credit cards. When they use credit card outside on pumps. Have customer bring credit card and bank statement to store, so we can solve this issue.

Final Consumer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

My credit card company already credited my account. They contacted the company and resolved the issue. I still am not satisfied in how this was handled by Chevron. There is a glitch with their electronic system that my credit card is being charged by Chevron for purchases that I did not make.

Review: I have a new BMW 5 series and the first time I drove through this 'touch-free' car wash, I heard a bang as I drove out but didn't think much of it. When I went in to have my car serviced, I noticed my rims were badly scratched so I paid $120 to have it re-polished. About 2 weeks later, I was passing this gas station to meet a client and since I have a black car, I decided to drive through and have a quick car wash. Again I heard a bang as I was driving out. This time I parked and checked out the rims and found fresh scratches (still pieces of rim hanging from scratch). I quickly went in to report the incident and the employees didn't bother to come out to look at the scratch and just claimed there's nothing they can do. I asked for the manager's contact info and was given his number. Longs story short, [redacted] was confused because there was another guy with a BMW who complained right before me and he thought we were the same person. [redacted] looked at the scratch and from his facial expression, he knew it was from the car was but refuses to pay for damagesDesired Settlement: I would like to have my rims fixed. Two rims are scratched
