I am by no means an expert on pick-ups other than what can be found on google and I expect like most consumers for the salespeople who work for a company that specializes in selling this brand and trim to know the specs on the specific models that they are selling! I was beginning to get irate and asked to be transferred to a manager that confirmed there had been a mand the specs were listed incorrectly in the system causing the confusion about the towing capacityThe ***, DAN S***, seemed to take responsibility for the situation and offered to take the truck back and get us into another one comparable in price that fit our needsAfter doing a little digging I came across a Dodge Ram V-that was deeply discounted due to the year end sales promotion for a price of approximately 25,I confirmed with Dan that this vehicle was in stock and the price was valid before making the hour drive back to the dealershipOnce we got back to the dealership we were helped by another salesperson named Trisha who was very sympathetic to our situation and pulled out all of the stops to check and double check that the new vehicle were were forced to purchased would be able to fit our needsSurprisingly once we got to the financing portion the total of vehicle including incentives as well as my “family” discount came out to about 34,which is significantly more that the price they had advertised on their site of approximately 25,000!The manager Dan, self-righteously explained that he was infact doing us a favor by taking the truck back and putting us in to a discounted new vehicle without even empathizing with the fact that we initally came to them looking for a fair-priced used vehicle that was within budget but are now forced to either keep the useless truck (they have already added our trainto their inventory) or pay an additional 10,000+ for a new vehicle that was useable but far outside our budgetThe difference in payments was a whopping 120.00! The only party that benefited from this transaction was Autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Phoenix as they now have our old truck, or trade-in, and have now forced us into a sale of a new truck that we did not need! DO NOT SHOP AT THIS DEALERSHIP AND SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND SHOP ELSEWHERE! ALL THE SALESPEOPLE ARE UNDERTRAINED AND LIARS JUST LOOKING TO MAKE A DEAL WITHOUT CONSIDERING THEIR CUSTOMERS NEEDS! I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** ***
Recently I tried to purchase a vehicle with Auto Nation Dodge. Due to lack of financing, the deal fell through. Auto Nation requested that I return the car. The car was returned promptly and I was told that if they came to a conclusion, they would contact me so that I can come back to pick up the car. On 12/20/2014, I received a letter in the mail stating that a claim had been received by [redacted] against me, from Auto Nation. It stated that I had been in an accident.
I had not been in an accident. They stated that the vehicle had body damage.
The body damage that they are referring to was never mentioned to me, nor was I ever contacted by Auto Nation about any issues. The car was returned on 12/11/2015 at Auto Nation's request, due to lack of financing! The representative came outside with me, took the keys, circled the vehicle multiple times, made sure I had everything out of the vehicle, and removed my temporary license plate. He shook my hand and sent me on my way.
The claim sent by [redacted] states that the "so called" damage took place on the 11th of December. They didn't report anything to [redacted] until the 16th. The car was sitting on their lot for 5 days before they decided to report anything. I nor [redacted] should be liable for anything that may have happened on their lot during that time. I have attempted to contact Auto Nation, with no success. No call has been returned.
On another note, Auto Nation seems very disgruntled. Recently they attempted to sell me a car. They purchased my 2005 Dodge Stratus from my finance company, put everything in their name, and sold my previous car in an auction. After they did this, the company that was going to pick up the loan (2014 Dodge Dart) decided to back out. At this point, they had already purchased my car and had to eat $4400. I was left without a vehicle. They called the finance company for my 2005 I traded in and stated that I decided to return the car because I didn't like it anymore and changed my mind. They then tried to have the finance company return their money (for a car they sold) and reopen my loan. When they saw that this was a long shot, now a claim has been received by [redacted] for "Body Damage." I don't know what the total "damages" are, but wouldn't be surprised if they totaled $4400. I am going to call the corporate office of Auto Nation in [redacted] to file a complaint. I find it disrespectful that they would try these various attempts. I won't be paying for any "Damages," nor should [redacted].
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUTONATION!!!!!!!
After contacting AutoNation on Thursday, September 24th about a particular Jeep Wrangler that I wanted to purchase, I told the salesman that their email offer was the one I had selected over four other dealers. He stated that was great and that we definitely had a deal. He was going to be away from work for some training on Friday and we agreed to meet on Saturday to take care of the paperwork and make the transfer. He emphatically stated that 'He had the keys to my Jeep and would lock them in his desk for safekeeping." I did think he made a generous offer to have someone drive to Casa Grande to pick me up as I had to make other arrangements to get to Phoenix.
Late Friday evening, I received a phone call stating that "Someone had gotten into his desk, taken the keys, and my Jeep had been sold". All of this was a great mystery to him as to how this could have happened. He said he wanted to make this right and would get a Jeep that I had been considering at another dealer and would get back with me. I waited two more days before calling for an update and was then told that "That Jeep had been sold, but if necessary, he would get one from Las Vegas and have it sent to Phoenix." After not hearing once again for a couple of days, I called and found out that "All of those Jeeps had been sold and one in San Diego, and they couldn't help me".
Foolishly, since I had made a firm commitment with the salesman early on, I had sold my current vehicle to a neighbor for cash and was without transportation now. While not particularly rude, it was plain to see that they no longer cared for my business nor the deal we had both agreed to. Again this was discussed about "How someone had gotten into his desk and taken the keys and they had no idea who this was". While I have no proof, it became very apparent that some customer had come in on Friday and was willing to pay a higher price than what I had agreed to and left with my Jeep. This had to be a conscious business decision rather than some accident of not knowing. The more we talked about what all they were going to do, the more apparent it became to me that I was being told whatever they felt would get me satisfied, while they had no intention of honoring the deal we had made. After that, I started working with a different dealer and wound up ordering a new Jeep to be built and sent to Arizona. This will take six to eight weeks and has caused me to have to rent a car for that period at my expense. I was wrong to have sold mine before theirs was in my garage, but where I came from, a deal has been reached when two parties make a verbal commitment to honor the conditions.
While there is no resolution to my situation that AutoNation can provide, I do want to add my great displeasure to what I am reading about a number of other customers that have been way less than satisfied with doing business with them. I am being generous when I rate my selection as a Zero for recommending this business to friends as I am not allowed to give negative numbers. I was very surprised when I looked on the Revdex.com site and found this business to have a rating of D+ for customer satisfaction, but now I can fully understand why.
There is no way to prove that the damage to his mirror happened at the dealership. There is no way to prove it did'nt happen at the dealership. My offer stands, and it expires 01/31/2015.
I recently bought a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan from AutoNation. The sales person, [redacted], was a great help at first. But this is a fast food service car dealership. No sooner where we there then she would leave and then show up again. Anyhow, I don't think they ever checked out the vehicle and I had to take it to the dealer in Prescott for warranty service as AutoNation did nothing for the two warranty items and the replacement of the upper console. I realized on the way home it was missing the antenna and the wipers were needing to be replaced. I had already complained about the tires but they would do nothing. I did get a great deal on the vehicle but I would never recommend this dealership. I have not received my plates yet or the registration but as soon as I do I will be totally done with these guys. I bought an extended Chrysler warranty since I don't know what went on with the vehicle in the 16,000 miles it had when I bough it.
This is the McDonalds of fast service and poor customer care.
Once again I will complement Trisha for her help but that is the extent of my positive review of this place.
I was promised a Jeep Wrangler with window tinting, a tow package, detailing prior to pick-up, and a full tank of gas. After having the pick-up date delayed (for some reason) 3 times, we arrived at 10 AM saturday morning, 4/23/16 for pick-up as agreed. The Jeep was dirty, no tinting, the tow package didn't include a wiring harness, and the gas tank was empty. Also, there was no window sticker for the vehicle, so I wasn't even sure of what I was buying! When I asked about the sticker, I was told that there wasn't one and it would take a week to get one. I then asked about the lack of a wiring harness, and the salesman said that the jeep doesn't come with one. When I disagreed, he became loud, very angry, and actually threatened me. That was it, and I went to the sales manager who immediately apologized for the salesman's actions, and agreed that we were entitled to the harness. With the harness installed 4 hours later, we were on our way after having to sit through filling out the paperwork 3 times!!! We started this adventure at 10 AM and finally left at 6:30 PM with a dirty new Jeep, no tinting, no sticker, and an empty gas tank. Needless to say, no one spent any time introducing us to the Jeep in any way as the sales staff was as anxious to get me out of there as I was to leave. Very bad experience. BUYER BEWARE!
Unfortunatly after 6 months of ownership it is impossible to dertermine the exact cause of a bubble in a tire. No dealerships would be responsible for tires that long after the unit sold. I would be more than willing to extend dealer cost on the replacement of 1 or all of the tires on the...
I have purchased 3 vehicles now at this dealership AutoNation. I came in to trade my dodge dart 2013 in for a newer truck. I also told them before we looked that my car was at the body shop and that I wanted to trade in the car as is! so we came to an agreement and I signed the papers and drove the truck home approximately on 5/15/2015. They then called me back and had me resign for more money down and a higher payment which I signed and did so I could keep the deal rolling. this day is 5/20/2015 I also towed the trade in on 5/20/2015.. I have the acceptance letter from bank of the west and I have made my first payment of 424.18.. On approximately 6/4/2015 I received text messages from [redacted] stating that they are putting the lean back onto my dart.. and that I will be responsible for either fixing the dart or payments on the dart when that is not what we agreed on. also now trying to send a repo man out to get MY TRUCK that I have already put a 1000 down on and paid the HIGHER payment that we agreed on of 424.18.. I am also receiving threaten texts messages from the manager(GSM) [redacted] that I have proof of on my phone.

I received coupons from AutoNation saying that I could come to get my Transmission serviced. The coupon was very vague, so I called into AutoNation and spoke with the service advisor by the name of [redacted] told me the Coupon covers the maintenance of the Transmission at no cost to me. When I brought my vehicle in [redacted] took the coupon and confirmed that it cover the transmission. He took my vehicle back and they performed the service to my tans. When they called me up to pick up my vehicle they stated that I owe 200$. I told the front desk lady by the name of [redacted] that I had a coupon to wave the cover of the trans. Then she told me that I will have to pay 179$ to get my car back and [redacted] was gone for the day and I couldn't speak with him. I asked to speak with the GM. The GM [redacted] stated that He makes the finale decision(and laughed in my face) and I would have to pay 125$ to get my car back. I politely asked for him to call Adam, so that [redacted] can explain to him what he explained to me. He told me I could either pay the 125$ to get my car back because he was "cutting me a deal" or I could leave his dealership with out my car and if I didn't leave he would call the police on me. Mr. [redacted] was very rude and disrespectful to while he laughed in my face and said I was ignorant about the coupon. [redacted] ended up taking my coupon book from me. [redacted] called the police on me for no reason.
Mr [redacted] is already working with the Regional Chrysler Service Manager. His car is at [redacted] Chrysler as we speak being looked at by a Chrysler field Technician. This matter is above the dealership level.
I took my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee to the AutoNation’s service department on May 26, 2016 to have my front driver seat fixed. I also wanted to receive one of my free oil changes. Kevin the service advisor requested a tire rotation which I also agreed to have done. I told Kevin my service advisor that my Jeep was under extended warrantee for the seat issue. When I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee I purchased multiple warrantees to cover the Jeep Grand Cherokee form “bumper to bumper”. In fact, the financial advisor who sold me the service contracts shared with me that if I had any problems with the leather seats including rips, ink marks, wholes, or electrical parts that my warrantee would cover the fixing of the issue of even replacing the whole seat if needed.
But I found out over the phone today, according to my service advisor Kevin, the broken front seat was NOT covered under the extended warrantee contract since the issue was a broken part. Therefore either Kevin or the financial advisor who sold me the contract was not telling the truth. Either way over the phone I told Kevin to cancel ALL requested work except for the free oil change. I decided I did not want to do business with an unethical company who would sell me a $45,000 dollar SUV plus extended warrantees and “not honor” their agreement!
I asked Kevin to send the shuttle to pick me up at home right away so that I could get my Jeep Grand Cherokee. After 1 ½ hours I called back because the shuttle driver had not arrived. Kevin shared that the driver was in Black Canyon City. I cancelled the request and had a friend drive me to AutoNation to pick-up my Jeep. When I arrive and went to sign the paperwork there was a charge on the invoice for tire rotation. Kevin said the service department did the tire rotation before I called. Kevin did remove the charge from the invoice.
The cashier said my car would be outside the waiting room doors. It was not outside the doors at the pick-up area but in the back of the building. I walked to the back of the building to retrieve my car. As I got into my Jeep I notice that they did not wash it as stated they would do with the oil change.
I plan on taking my Jeep Grand Cherokee to another ethical dealership to have my front seat fixed and to receive better customer service. My advice to anyone reading this letter on all the social media sites I’m posting this information, is do not do business at AutoNation in Phoenix, Arizona!

Policy is being cancelled and my Finance Director will be in touch with customer to refund amount to her credit card.
I would be more than willing to extend dealer cost on the replacement of 1 or all of the tires on the...
truck, but not a refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10403294, and have determined that...
this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. That option was already offered to me when I contacted the dealership the day after I brought the truck home and discovered that the mirror was broken. I have already rejected that offer.

Mr. [redacted] is attempting to get his car repurchased from Chrysler under the lemon law. He is a very hostile person and he was the person who assaulted one of my employees. We have tried to help resolve his issues as best as we can but at this time the manufacturer must step in and...
resolve this issue.
