Being ripped off by CFP. Do not sign there release agreement no matter what they offer you to sign it. You have a air tight case against them for Grand Larceny and Fraud. Take them to court!

+3

Grand Larceny in my state is 960 dollars as a white color crime. Check to see if your state can charge them with Grand Larceny. If they stole more than the sum above from you it is possible you have a fraud and grand larceny charge. Pennsylvania I think is about the same for Grand Larceny get an attorney tell your attorney you have a fraud and Grand Larceny case against CFP and you may get a free attorney. But even if you have to pay a retainer you'll get that back and more. And these deceivers will be looking out from a prison cell. I hope these post can help someone. Do not hire these people.

Everyone being scammed and taken advantage of by CFP. Write to the Governors office in Pennsylvania (PA.GOV) have that office forward your documentation to the Attorneys Generals Office (in PA) if you live out side PA send what you sent to PA to your Governors office. So your state attorney can work with PAs state Attorney. You do not need a lawyer for this. Instead the state will or states will go after them. Huge fines. Some states can even get compensation for you depending on your circumstances. The point is to expose this scam and the more Governors who know the sooner this place will crumble.

Please post here any info on people at the top of this scam

If anyone knows who owns CFPs company please post. I am trying to find ownership of this place. It's more secretive than a pagan meeting. Have you read there code of conduct? https://www.alignable.com/code-of-conduct. Here I find a minimum of 12 items they broke with me. Not including my contract. If you have contact with an employee at CFP they don't seem to know who owns CFP or they just will not say. I'm hopping we have multiple owners for this place. Stay away from these guys they look pretty but they are not. This company is hideous.

Less than one star. Legal matters pending. Do not get involved with these people. They lie, they break contracts, they are a horrible place. If your having problems with these i***s read your contract they will break it and when they do. Take'm to court!

I am in the midst of using Christian Faith Publishing for my children’s book. Just finished editing. It is true they don’t really clean up your book, so I took a long time to read and reread, which is what they say to do. But if I asked questions, they would respond. If you do all the editing for the customer, you could basically rewrite the book, which they don’t want to do. I will let you know as I go along, how things go.

This is what they broke. You are no longer legally tied to your book. Contract VIOD.

Larry my attorney would tell you since CFP broke contract with you. You no longer have a legally binding contract with them anymore. Which means they can do what ever they want to you. Your contracted is void sir. Legally and ethically you have nothing. CFP can take your book a do with it as they want. You are no longer legally tied to it by your contract because your contract is no longer valid. This place is really bad. Stay away please for your own good. Eventually all my evidence is going to every news out let in the country. Also write to the Governess office In PA. (PA.gov) they will forward it to the Attorney General. Let them all know what is happening and CFPs business practices. Write to your state Governors office. Have them forward your problems to your state Attorney General so your state can communicated with PA. Then Justice brothers and sisters, Justice. You have problems write letters talk to an attorney, expose this scam!

Don't listen to these people. This place is a rip off. Here Larry read this from your agreement.

Copy Edit: a copy editor will be assigned to proof and edit the Work to ensure proper syntax, word usage, sentence structure and consistency in adherence to the standards of the Chicago Manual of Style.

That contract is void for you Larry they broke contract. They love to complain at how long your taking and are ready to charge you more money than agreed upon. Stay clear this is coming out like in the public soon.

They are not Christians. You can upload your work on a app that makes corrections for you. They are disrespectful and they use use the word Christian to attract people like you and me. I'm waiting for a refund from them right now after signing a contract last year of June. There's so much more but 2 much 2 write. Stop while you're ahead.

Please look at all of the responses so that Christian Faith Publishing's "Overall Satisfaction Rating" can be corrected. A great many of the responses say many kind words and very high recommendations concerning this publishing company and their respective rating only shows "1' star incorrectly. Thank you
I.L.T.

It needs to be lower a lot lower, Like in the criminal way. I.L.T so glade you don't feel ripped off. I would look over my contract seriously. If they didn't keep a promise from your contract it is void. That's one place this scam begins. Once you have no legal rights to your book they can change it rename it and put an author they want on it and sell it right under your nose. Not saying they did this but they can. I.L.T. a lot of people have been ripped off by CFP. They are bad news brother.

I recently published a children's book with CFP. The process and contract were simple and straight-forward. My representative was professional and quick to respond to my questions or concerns. The end product (paperback and ebook) looks amazing and extremely professional. I am considering publishing a second book with CFP. The company lived up to their promises and beyond.

I tried Christian Faith Publishing for my book, "Modern Errors About the New Testament" and found that they really only did one "Content Edit." My contact, Nicole Hepak, worked very diligently and helped with several other edits which the editorial staff refused to do. In fact she sent me a .docx (instead of the .pdf file) copy so that I could finish much of the editing myself. Then came the cover with a dangling reference (out of context) on the back and the same with press release video. This came after the book was already published on YouTube, at Amazon, and at Barnes & Nobles. They never asked me to review the e-book. But I saw part of it on Amazon and found it had hyperlinks not present in the paperback and had page number references but no page numbers and the search for locations was exceedingly cumbersome for subchapters. When I insisted they these problems, they came out with a second e-book on the market without letting me review it first. I requested a Kindle edition, the page reference problem was not fixed and the subchapter locations were just as cumbersome. The so-called e-book editor stated in no uncertain terms that he would not and could not do anything further. I wrote back that CFP was in violation of our contract and that I had been promised those page references would be taken care of in the e-book from the very beginning. I further decided to get the book republished by a company that would and could fix the e-book properly, and demanded a large part of the costs be returned to me for their broken contract. At that point Jason Murray, the manager, promised to fix the page reference problem somehow. Since I had already paid BookVenture, I told him it was a waste of time, and that BV promised to really fix both e-book problems that CFP was only patching. Supposedly CFP fixed then page references, but whether they actually did so I have no idea, since again they sent it out without sending a copy for my review. So basically, CFP published and distributed an e-book in my name three times without my consent and without my review.

I can not believe any Christian company could act so cavalierly.

William do not sign there release agreement if you do you give up everything. And you let them out of the scam! DON"T SIGN ANY RELEASE!

William because they broke your contract it is void sir. You would have to sign a new agreement with them noting they broke the contract and thus a new contract must be written and why a new contract is being written. You have no legal rights to your book if you didn't file a complaint with the Governor's office and are under the contract that is no longer valid. They have planes for the e-book. It's not yours actually because the whole contract is void. You know you have nothing legally binding anymore.

William, they scammed another person you! Write to the Governor of Pennsylvania everything. Have his office then forward you documentation to PAs Attorney General. If you have claim and without an attorney. PA will prosecute and fine them. If you live in another state do the same thing in your state get the letters out. Then your state will work with PA and double indemnity I think is the term. Justice William, Justice. The more letters the Governors office gets the better off everyone will be. Expose this scam William.

My experience with Christian Faith Publishing was poor, at best. I feel that they don't really share with clients exactly what they are going to do for them. For instance, what they call "editing" is really just proof-reading, nothing more than that. I found them incredibly slow; it took six months for them to produce my book. Finally, their claim of helping to promote the book is just false. I've never seen a Press Release and have not sold any copies as a result of any Press Release other than the one that I wrote myself. I cannot recommend this company.

Once again scammed. Your contract is void James. You have no legal right to your work. I now know this is happening to thousands of people. Write the governors office in PA (PA.GOV) Write to your Governor if in another state, have the states Attorney Generals go after them. James good luck. If you can get an attorney.

This client is unresponsive, we have tried to communicate with this client several times over the past two weeks (CFP dated notes below) with no response at all. Our contract with clients clearly states that we will not move on to the next step of the publishing process until they are 100% satisfied...

with the current status. Meaning that once the edit is complete on a clients manuscript we will not move into the page design process until the client has approved their edit. The initial edit is completed to CMS (Chicago Manual of Style) standards. Many first time authors are confused in regards to the professionalism of CMS and therefor make editing changes back to American slang so the manuscript is in their own voice. This client approved their edit May 1, 2017. Since then we have gone through 11 rounds of editing corrections with no additional charge to the client. The client was NEVER told we would help him write his autobiography. Ghostwriting for authors is something we simply do not offer. This client received a professional edit. Suggested changes are listed on the right hand side of the manuscript when they receive it back under track changes. These changes are copy editing changes, again we do not offer a full re-write or ghostwriting. Regardless, once the author 100% approved their edit May, 2017 CFP still bent over backwards making 11 rounds of editing changes without a fee charged to the client. Once the book is approved by author we print off 10 complimentary copies. As you can see from the notes below the author received those copies Nov 2017 which they approved. CFP then submits the files to our distributor to make the book available to the world. Two weeks later the author called us with more changes to the manuscript. We then pulled the book from distribution, made the requested changes to the manuscript and page design and resubmitted once the author approved. This author also submitted a 2nd book for CFP to publish in August. I find it hard to believe if they were so upset and distraught about our publishing process that they would submit a second book for us to publish. Altogether CFP went through 11 rounds of editing changes, 4 rounds of page design changes and 3 rounds of cover design changes, all approved by client! From: "Jason M[redacted]" <[redacted]>Date: 12/21/17 11:40 amHere are the recent notes. Just want to add here. If they breached contract with you as this is there game and you didn't catch it. Your toasted and burnt. They own your book you have no legal right to it as your contract was broken by these monsters. I'm going through hell with these people. Look carefully at your contract see where they have broken the agreement with you. Your book is probably being sold right now in Canada. You needed an attorney before it came to this. They do not care about us or our books it's all a tool to rip people off.

Legal matters pending.

Coming out in news soon be patient this place is a scam a huge rip off.
You guys need to take these frauds to court.

I sent off for your welcome package after seeing your commercials, but after seeing the way you dog people & respond to them here & on BBB ... Hell. No!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First of all, I would like to thank CFP for responding to my concerns.Regarding the binding issues with the planner, I don't think that replacing the planners that have the issues with another case laminate planner will solve to issue.  The planners just don't hold up to every day opening and use. The above photo is of my personal planner after the binding separated and I hot glued in order to keep it from falling apart so I could continue using it as long as it will hold up.The eBook writability: An eBook planner is not usable if it is not in a writable format.  The user can't enter items on her do list, calendar, Bible study notes, etc... An unwritable ePlanner is not really of much use.Publication timeline:  I just wish CFP would have been more transparent about the timeline of "fall publishing" at the beginning.  It was not explained in detail up front, as the business claims.Regarding the spiral binding conversations with Chelsea, my publication coordinator, soon after I signed the contract.  Please refer to the phone conversations which we're recorded for quality assurance purposes, and you will hear my conversation with her regarding spiral binding.  She initially said she did not think spiral binding would be an option but she would check with her supervisor.  On the follow up phone call, she said it would not be available because [redacted] does not spiral bind.  At that point, I told her that could be a deal breaker.  She never told me I could receive a refund of the initial $495 I paid if the contract was cancelled. And this conversation took place well after the 3 days allowed for cancellation of the contract.  Had I known a full refund was a possibility, I absolutely would have cancelled the contract at the time it was explained that spiral binding the planner would not be an option.I would prefer the refund requested in the initial complaint so I can offer my customers a choice of a repair of their planner through a local printer or a credit toward the purchase on a spiral bound planner next year.
Regards,
[redacted]

We appreciate [redacted]'s response but she answers a lot of her own questions in her response. There is no indication books will be spiral bound in our contract. All books are printed and distributed through our partner [redacted]. When [redacted] asked the customer service rep if they will be spiral bound, the rep indicated that she didn't think [redacted] would produce spiral bound but wanted to check with supervisor. She then told [redacted] they would NOT be spiral bound as it was not an option. Spiral bound is specialty printing and the author own's 100% rights to the work we have completed to produce their print ready files. [redacted] can have access to those print ready files anytime she wants with no charge and have a specialty printer print spiral bound for her personal use. But if it was a deal breaker as [redacted] indicates it needed to be addressed at that point before anything else was done. I wish we could change eBook formats but the major eReader platforms available for sale through mass distribution such as [redacted] are not writable formats. Writable formats are again specialty formats that do not fit publishing houses mass distribution methods. These are one off applications usually self distributed by the individual. Our contract states that we will produce the book in eBook format which we have just like any other major publishing house. [redacted] didn't ask for a writable eBook initially when she was signing the agreement or through the publishing process. Again if Spiral bound and writable eBook features were deal breakers it should have been asked somewhere up front and not after the book is produced. As for the timing of the project. [redacted] was told the project could take 6 to 9 months to complete. We also send out a timeline of the publishing process to the author so they understand whats ahead. We never give a solid time line with completion dates because so much of the publishing process relies on author feedback which we have no control over. [redacted] was fantastic at returning feedback in a timely manner. She signed her publishing agreement April 30, 2017 and she approved her complimentary books October 20, 2017. From the date she signed her contract she had books in her hand within 6 months which is impressive and at the lower end of the time line we tell authors.Again we are sorry [redacted]'s binding failed and will absolutely replace it if she wants.

Considering them. How long did your projects take? Has anyone actually sold books or just received the finished product? If you have sold how many? As they state their purpose is to only pick the "good" or marketable ones. So if they only pick the good ones then people should be selling books and making money right?

Hello [redacted],It was great to talk with you today. Here is my release toward Christian Faith Publishing that includes no other actions will be taken against them, after they return my amount of $1838.50. The author will mention nothing about the Christian Faith Publishing business from this date forward.God bless you,[redacted]

+1

Author never returned the release agreement sent in 2017 and lines of communication didn't connect internally. Author will be sent another Release Agreement and their request will be granted.

The Christian Faith Publishing business has lied and distorted the truth. They are a disgrace to the name of their business! I would have used them, still, if I had not received e-mails and a letter telling me that I could not change my text. This is unheard of in any decent publishing business. I sent you the faxed proof of their lies and they will not look reputable in my book either. I am getting hard copy proofs sent to me as I am completing this. I am using a different publisher because God wanted me too. It was not because of cost, as they said. This is how they lie to the Revdex.com of Pennsylvania! I do not know why they would lie, as God says there will be no liars in heaven. I have been honest with the Revdex.com and cannot say the same about their business dealings.
