I bought a nearly $4k publishing package, which included copywriting, editing, internal page design, cover design and publication with a May 1st guarantee from my literary agent, Shalanda G***This was a staple of agreeing to publish with themDuring the last week of May, I was sent a copy of the book, which was completely filled with errors, typos and design flawsIt was incredibleI was then told they were only a self publisher and I could send them the original file I sent months ago and they would just print thatI was scammed out of $dollars and they did nothingI've since discovered their services can be done for a mere few hundred dollars for basic self publishingThe professional services for my book were never done, yet I was charged anyways, while waiting now for months! The worst part was literally being ignored for weeks, yes weeks, after making my complaintsHopefully they will respond to the Revdex.com

I am not a writer, but I wanted to put my journal into a book in order to give to my family and friends to explain to them why I am no longer a Mormon and why I am now a ChristianIt is called: *** *** *** The problems I had with CFP were:
Many of my pictures turned out darkThey did fix some of them
I paid $3,for them to edit and produce my bookBut, I did most of the editing myselfI kept finding mistakes that I felt they should have caughtAgain, I am not a writer but I was paying for them to find the mistakesThere are still some small grammatical errors in my book
Again, I did not do this to make money, but to inform my family and friends why I am no longer MormonBut, CFP promised I would receive royalties from any books soldThey put my book on AmazonI know a few people who ordered my book, yet I never received any royaltiesI bought one book off Amazon through the publisher and I never received a royaltyI did notice other companies

I had no idea about publishing a book but CFP's staff walked me through the process with ease Shannon made me feel very comfortable and relaxed through the process I will recommend CFP to anyone writing a book They are the best!

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.This information is very informative and would have been so useful to me as a consumer before or shortly after I signed the contract in April The literary agent I was assigned was very helpful and really great at getting me to the contract signing 4/30/ After signing the contract with CFP, however, I received no contact from the publisher until 5/I e-mailed the literary agent about 5/asking when I would receive further communication, then on 5/I learned that I was assigned a production specialist who introduced herself via phone callObviously, there was no chance to iron out the questions I had regarding publication before the day period where I could void the contract, because I had no contact from CFP until days afterward Within my first or second phone conversation with Chelsea, I expressed my interest in spiral binding of the product But she never mentioned that I could opt to use a specialty printer to have any books spiral bound, so I did not know that was an option, as you suggest.The conversion of various digital formats in the publishing contract reads as follows: Publisher will convert the work to the appropriate various digital formats so that it may be offered for sale with Apple, Amazon, and Barnes&Noble eBook retailer's platforms I thought "appropriate" meant usable for the consumer.I can chalk the timeline up to naiveté on my part Christian Faith Publishers did comply with the timeline outlined in the contract I just thought they would appreciate the concern I had about publishing and marketing a dated planner during the same time of year that other publishers would have them in print.In summary, I feel like full disclosure from the publisher did not occur before or shortly after the contract was signed, and I would like a partial refund as requested.
